The best restaurants in United Kingdom serving Mediterranean food

Awful experience. Queued too long to place order, no breakfast boxed available. Placed order then told coukd have item i had paid for. Had to change /refund. Staff were polite about it but stock levels means cant eat wgat i wNted on menu. 20 mins of my life i not getting back.

Visited at the weekend with friends, had tomato and basil soup, with garlic, seasalt and tomato flat bread, it wa so good, that I took my hubby there yesterday for lunch, and had the same! Lovely staff, decor is fab. Definitely recommended 👌

Have been going to Morito for over 4 years, pretty regular across both locations as well as Moro and a great fan of Sam & Sam. I believe today’s experience was pretty much the end of the journey. Good produce and service does not come cheap, but hyper-inflation of prices and reduction in portion sizes has made a marked difference in the experience one gets. Kudos to the waiters who were kind enough to understand our frustrations as regulars.

Red peas soup, the kidney beans were under cooked and inedible. Ackee & salt fish was over priced for the portion size and didn't taste nice

I ordered one Loubieh B'Zeit (With Rice) and received one Bamieh B'Zeit (With Rice) instead, which we hate it!

As the Charter Fair was in town we decided to try out the new town for food, unfortunately it wasn’t a great experience. It felt like it was completely understaffed, but we asked if they were understaffed and they said no, everyone was on! So us getting up to request drinks(this happened twice, the only drinks we had, we would have had more, but…). We ordered out starters/mains….my starter was the cauliflower bites, and my husband’s the calamari - no spice to the cauliflower, very bland, and my husbands calamari was soggy, not a great start but not righting the place off yet…then obviously we had to get up and order a drink which then took a long time to arrive….main meals then arrived, husbands rump steak(requested medium/rare), very over cooked, and I had the half chicken….the best bits on both mains were the sides, I loved the tomatoes and fries, and my husbands calamari loved the mushrooms and fries, the main parts didn’t deliver….so overall, would not recommend.

Unfortunately the food wasnt great and was overpriced for what it was. The shisha was decent and we got regular coal changes. The toilets are situated in Boga steak house next door, these were the most weirdest toilets ever, with no locks and in 2/3 of the stalls the door could not shut. In the one stall that the door could shut, the light did not work. Friendly and lovely staff, 10/10 service very welcoming! just a shame about the other things.

Excellent service and very attentive - helpful

A bit bland for the things we ordered - pizza, burger and a vegan salad. Generally, staff was great and service was quick. However, The guy who got us to the table seemed a bit stand-offish.

Any establishment that has scores of regulars, and by regulars I mean folks who visit literally every day, is clearly doing everything right. CG is the cafe equivalent of Cheers for those who remember that programme. The staff know the names of literally every regular, knows what they order, what they like and always have time for a quick chat and share a joke and a smile. The coffee is excellent, the sandwiches are lovely (I really miss the Christmas special!), the Greek salad and coleslaw and Italian three bean salad are all delightful. The pizza breads, the sausage rolls, the pastries, the apple pie I could go on but everything is so nice! If I walk into a cafe or restaurant and I see the staff engaging with regulars and new clients both the same I know I'm in a place where I'm happy to give them my custom.

Cena muy decepcionante. El menú ha cambiado a un precio establecido de 14. 95 para 3 tapas con una selección limitada. Cuando llegó algunas de nuestras tapas estaban frías. Los refrescos se sirvieron en pequeños vasos de whisky, pero todavía se cargaron a más de 3. La gota que colmó el vaso fue que habían agregado un cargo por servicio a la factura que no se había mencionado anteriormente. Hubiéramos pedido que se eliminara, pero teníamos prisa por un espectáculo. Demasiado caro y sobrevalorado. Evitar.

The food was not good. I got ill from it.

Aunque el servicio era bueno, la carne era terriblemente malo! Definitivamente se recalentó (no sé el mismo día por la mañana o... ayer) la lámpara y otro plato de carne también se recalentó. Para ser específicos, frío por dentro, seco por fuera y el color de la carne carecía de vitalidad! Por otro lado las fichas eran buenas, tzatziki y tyrokafteri pero no suficientes.

I made a reservation for New Year's Eve. I put in a bank imprint etc. I received the confirmation emails. The same day, 12/31/2024 at 1:00 p.m., I received a WhatsApp message saying that the reservation was canceled because the restaurant will not open. This is unacceptable, we find ourselves with nothing the same day. The restaurant no longer even responds to the message and did not even recommend a nearby establishment or similar.
