Myself and a friend came here for the taster menu as a little Christmas celebration for us. After seeing the taster menu we were intrigued as to what we would be served. The first course was 'roasted parsnips, cumin', in a lovely little glass on a wooden board we were served a lovely roasted parsnip soup with a cuming homemade bread. This course was delicious, the bread was soft and warm and the soup was divine. The second course was 'rice, chestnut and mushrooms', we were served a risotto with mushrooms. The mushrooms we lively and had a lively flavour. The rice however tastes quite bland and plain, we would have been happy with a whole bowl of mushrooms as they were lovely. The next course was 'coley, panchetta, onions', this was a lovely fillet of fish served on a little bit of what I think was kale with panchetta and pickled onions. WOW! The flavour combination of the salty panchetta and fish with the tangy pickled onions was absolutely delicious. 'Mussels, smoked bacon, wine' was our next course. I am not a person who likes mussels etc but I was willing to try this and the flavour of the smoked bacon was delicious. I hate some mussels and was pleasantly surprised, I couldn't eat many due to the texture but it was a lovely dish. The next course was 'baked ham, picallili, hazelnuts' this dish was up there in our top two courses along with the coley. It was so flavourful and delicious and just the right amount. On to the Christmas Dinner with 'roast turkey, Brussels, cranberries', this was a lovely posh Christmas Dinner the roast parsnips were cooked to perfection the turkey was lovely and moist and I'd love to know how the turkey was served in a circle shape. Time to cleanse the pallete with 'lemon and raspberries', I love sorbet type dishes and so really enjoyed this. Dessert number 1 was 'caramel, chocolate and vanilla', this was a salted caramel brownie based cheesecake. Very rich and lovely the caramel around the plate was really nice. To finish off was 'Christmas pudding', now I don't like Christmas pudding but enjoyed some of this. I wouldn't choose it off a normal menu but was happy to eat it. Overall the food was lovely, hats off to the chef. Only a few small things that weren't our favourite but as an all round meal we really enjoyed it. Now the only bad thing was the atmosphere.... Or lack of atmosphere in this case. We were the only table in there until around course 5 when another table came in. However the place just lacked and feeling or vibe of any kind and this may put us off returning. We did think that the restaurant would be very full as it was so close to Christmas but we thought wrong. The table that then arrived were sat too close as they were just sat staring and listening to anything and everything that my friend and I were talking about. The waitress also did not seem confident in herself or what she was presenting to the table, this took away from some of the enjoyment. However, a lovely new restaurant that hopefully if we do return will have a better atmosphere.

This is a nice place for lunch. The portions are very generous and the food was very enjoyable. The serving bowl looks small, but there was a lot of food in there and it was tasty, staff nice and friendly.

I just had one of the best meals of my life. I’m staying in Leicester Square and made the long trek through Summer Festival and Euro 2024 traffic and street closures to eat here - worth every minute. Service was wonderful. Ambiance is perfect. Food was brilliant. I had the duck and lamb steak appetizers and the 400gm steak (I intentionally came hungry as I don’t have many kosher restaurants back home). I wouldn’t hesitate to come back the next time I’m in London. Thank you for everything!

for £8.50 this is a real joke. My falafel was packed so light it’s basically all pita. really inconsistent quality but when they get it right it’s pretty tasty

Nice pleasant staff, and interesting vegetarian buffet options that are a cut above. Very good value for money.

¡Pero tienes que pedirlo! Sugiero que no solo elijas algo del menú, sino que pidas específicamente recomendaciones sobre la cocina egipcia. ¡He comido allí mucho y siempre me ha encantado! Bastante razonable y fresco.

This is a nice little find in Camberwell, a Lebanese cafe serving shwarmas and mixed grills cooked over a real charcoal the way it should be and not on a metal griddle surface like your local greasy kebab shop. I had a lamb kofte that came served with Lebanese rice and salad. I had this with a serving of falafel and carrot juice on the side. Great lunch. With an extra juice, the entire thing came up to £9 and I was completely satisfied. Everything cooked to perfection and very tasty indeed. The décor is simple and honest and the guy behind the counter is friendly. Good place for a good, healthy lunch at an affordable price.

Selection of pastries, pasties and mini pizza baked on the premises. Serves a selection of beverages including a refreshing mint tea. Worth a visit when in town.

Turn right out of the station and on your left near the bridge. Can't mis it. First Class kebab shop with great staff :)

We called into this newly opened bar/tapas venue on a Saturday afternoon, initially just for a drink. However, once seated, we noticed the tapas and sharing boards menu and decided to order the vegetarian sharing board. Bread (both brown and white), pitta bread, crackers, butter, olives with small pieces of feta cheese, a small pot with balsamic vinegar and oil, chutney, hummus, crudités, a small pot with sun dried tomato slices etc and four types of cheese. All delicious but completely out of proportion. The butter and cheese portions were entirely inadequate to accompany the bread and crackers. The butter was sufficient for a couple of slices of bread, leaving the remaining six slices to be eaten dry or dipped into the micro pot of oil or smeared with hummus and the cheese slices were barely enough to allow one for each dry cracker, definitely not enough to be eaten with the bread. The serving staff members were friendly and helpful, the premises of the newly opened business are tastefully decorated and furnished and I wish the owners success for the future of the venture.
