Woody Grill in Camden

Excellent Dining Experience at Woody's Grill I recently had the pleasure of dining at Woody's Grill, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The variety and quality of their offerings truly stood out. I tried the lamb donner, chicken shish, and Adana kofte, and each dish was bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. Additionally, the warm bread served with dipping sauces complemented the meal perfectly, adding an extra layer of satisfaction to the dining experience. Beyond the delicious food, I was thoroughly impressed by the outstanding customer service provided at Woody's Grill. The staff were attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of our visit was enjoyable. In conclusion, Woody's Grill exceeded my expectations in every way. Great post Koko option when you're trashed and just need food and everything is closed. It's probably great too if you're just looking for a restaurant because you're hungry.

Friendly staff; falafel wrap was delicious; Turkish tea, hummus, ratiha and bread on the house, reasonably priced.

The food is simple but very well done. Fairly quick preparation. Dish portions are very generous for London standards in terms of quantity/price. Service is kind and polite, especially by the waitress. I'll definitely go again.

Little gem in the heart of London

Had the lamb doner don’t know when was it prepared, but had a very bad stomach pain and diarrhoea…

Used to have great experiences at Woody Grill but this time even though it tasted good, had terrible upset stomach all night and explosive experience in the toilet. Very sore stomach. My friend also, he ate what I had. So it was definitely the lamb shawarma that did it. Will never go back.

Lovely spot- staff take their roles very seriously and the food is superb to match. Meal for two £35 so cheap as well. Top

Have had takeaway from here several times over the last year when working and got to say best chicken shish I have had. Decided to eat in with a friend after the restaurant has undergone a refurbishment. Surprisingly busy for a Thursday lunchtime. Good food as usual. Great service didn’t feel rushed

I must say… everything has changed. I have been going to this place for over 10 years and for once, just once when I told them that my chicken Shish was not good. Nothing.. nothing was done and I was treated like I was lying and was called horrible names. The manager at time even said to me “hope to never see you again”, and another worker there also said, “go apply benefit if you can’t afford to pay”. How DISGUSTING. Is that a way to treat your customers?

It's difficult to know exactly how to evaluate Woody Grill. Hard by Mornington Crescent station, they serve you a ten pound doner wrap. It was exactly what I expected, needed and wanted. I can't say if it will be so for you.

Nice kebab restaurant close to mornington crescent. The staff was quite friendly and there are about 18 seats inside the restaurant, which is more spacious than it looks. As an appetiser we were given some bread with sauces and olives, the order was quick to get ready. Food tasted delicious.

The wife and I shared a "2 person platter", we needed another person or two. All the food was excellent! I can not decide on a favorite, each selection vied with the others for first place. Emeral and Jan, our servers, made us feel welcome and insured our needs were well met.

Lugar bom, com comida bem honesta a ótimo preço. No Brasil é comum ter churrasquinho grego. O daqui tem um conceito parecido, mas é bem menos insalubre. O prato que pedi veio com arroz e uns molhos pra acompanhar, além de pão. Tudo bem bom. Se quiser comer bem, rápido e barato, recomendo aqui.

Rigtig god oplevelse. Vi kommer ind omkring kl 21 en mandag aften, bliver mødt med smil af begge ansatte. Bestiller deres lamme rulle og tager plads. Indenfor kort tid kommer en ansat med forret til os på husets regning. Vores lamme rulle var så lækker og god smag. Derefter fik vi en lille baklava på husets regning til at slutte måltidet af med. Vi kom af med 30 pund for 2 lammeruller, en cola og en vand og derudover forret og dessert oveni. Alt i alt en skøn oplevelse.

Meget venlig betjening, velsmagende mad og hyggelig atmosfære. Vi fik pitabrød med forskellige dips og oliven imens vi ventede på maden. Dette var på huset. Vi bestilte döner wrap med lam, smagte dejligt. Efter maden fik vi baklava til dessert, gratis.

Telephoned our food order, saved time and money (saved over £10 on larger 4 sharing grill platter) by collecting in person instead of using Just Eat/Deliveroo who would have charged £49 on sharing platter for 4). Defo worth collecting!

I spent too much money but this is the baddiest kebap in London don’t eat chicken doner. It ıs very olily and too much mixed spicy , all day I felt bad. Per person £15-20!!

Staff clearly don't want to be there, ordered a chicken döner wrap which was somehow cold, and was next to nothing in the wrap for £10.00 I was still hungry and had to just make do with fruit and snacks to make up for the lack of food I got for my money.

Ordered on Uber rays. Ordered 2 things got sent one. Really not that difficult is it. I’m done ordering on u er eats, just eat etc… always the same thing. Don’t have the money to re order so just have to go without and wait 2 days for the refund

The worst lamb wrap I've ever eaten. In addition, the staff constantly asking if you want a salad is annoying. I do not recommend. They introduced themselves as Turkish restaurant, but I encountered a taste that has nothing to do with Turkish food. I won't go again.

I have eaten in the restaurant before and the food has been fine. We ordered a chicken doner and a lamb doner through a delivery app today. They were probably the worst kebabs we have ever tasted. The quality of the chicken and lamb was extremely poor. We can honestly say I have never seen lamb doner meat look like this (check out the photo). Oh and there was a hair on the bread that came with the food (check out the photo). Grim. We just hope our stomachs are ok after eating whatever that was 🤢

lamb shish is fresh and great, better than the wrap. Reasonable price. I've been there for more than 10 times.

Quality bit of food. Ordered the cheesy chips with donna meat. So scrummy. Very good portion size also. Surprised I got through it all if I’m honest. Well worth a pop in if you’re feeling a little take away. Cheers guys

The meat is not bad but they throw a rubbish sauce made with glucose syrup in it into the salad. And their attitude is rubbish too

The chicken felt like it was left in oil to soak,tortilla was hard to eat and no choice of what to put in the wrap no sauce offered,waitress was vaping inside

No frills Turkish food. Customer service 10/10 really friendly team. Food overall 8/10. Always been here in a group and go for their platters which are fairly priced, good amounts of meat and everything cooked well.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Food 7.5/10, service 8.3/10. There is hardly find a top rated kebab house from Kings Cross to the north, so I had walked from British Library to here. The restaurant is cleaner and welcomed than many similar places. The counter guy is really nice and kind, almost service to 10/10, but the chef one is kinda be “cool” and cold to you. For the food itself, the wrap base is really normal like so-so fast food but the portions inside is really good. First time to got the fabulous lamb meat from a donner wrap. And the chicken donner is also good but lamb is better! 💁🏽‍♂️ 5mins, 💷 £8-20 per.

The food is excellent but its a fire trap, no room for wheelchairs there is a part where they have 6 tables 3 each side very narrow and dangerous, if a very big man comes there to eat he would not fit to get through they are will have to move the tables to get like they did for me and rollator.

Nos puso unos entrantes con pan de pita y salsas delicioso y para finalizar un té verde típico y unos dulces turcos. 10/10. Los wraps que pedimos estaban suuuper ricos y por un precio increíble. Si vuelvo a Londres ya sé dónde ir a comer! Muchas gracias!

Visited few evenings ago and very disappointed with the front staff attitude I’ve been visiting Woody’s for such a long time. Rudeness was on another level. We came in and asked for a table for 5 and was told to calm down and wait or look for elsewhere to eat. Wow! I was polite and genuinely nice. Not sure what went wrong there. Won’t ever return to this one. I definitely recommend the Woody Grill by Camden Underground station instead. They are lovely. Avoid the one near Mornington Crescent station. Attitude and service is important. I spend average £70-£80 on food every time I go to Woody and this is what I get. Woody need to teach their staff a bit of manners first.

Found a sharp bone in my kebab, contacted shop only to be told return the food and they will replace. Are u crazy I wNt my money back . I had bitten on the bone damaging my mouth inside. This is unacceptable!!! No more kebab meat and chips again from there , I feel sick

Not sure if I got super lucky with my food choice this particular evening of my visit, but I went for daily stew and got a lamb shank stew which ended up being dinner and next days lunch! Service was good and tasted the food from my partner’s plate and the meat was perfectly cooked. Really enjoyed it. Likely to return.

Serving chicken doner in a slab of sandpaper, what's that about lads??

Very disappointed. I called them up and told them what I wanted which was a mix grill with lamb chops and ribs. I paid £40.99 and when I went home and open the order and there was lamb donner and chicken doner chicken wings and kofte. Didn’t put any lamb chops or ribs, Mostly it was salad , rice and different sauces. Called them up and they told me that was a misunderstanding, and hung up. Shamed

The food here can be hit and miss...the portions are absolutely generous however there is a price difference which isn't clear when you takeaway vs eat in. The food was OK, it needed some salt - but nothing the table dispenser couldn't sort. My only crucial judgement is that the lamb was overdone. Great service from the waitress!

If i could give no stars I would, my order came and it went straight in the bin, the order clearly was never read the order. They all contained the same and we all asked for something different my kids couldn't even eat it as there was so much chili sauce and the whole thing was on the bag the pitta look was so soggy for sauce it was nasty. I understand it gets a bit soggy but the whole thing just fell apart. I cant belive they could mess this up so bad. Also np point in calling them to sort it out as they don't answer

Amazing food. Just yummy... We were served some Turkish breads, with houmous, tzaziki and other things, before the meal, it was so tasty. The employees are very kind and caring. They also talked a little bit of French.

Really good falafel wraps, filling too. Falafels and bread for wraps were freshly made. Staff are really nice and helpful. They also provide humus, olives, chilli chutney, tahini and bread on the house which is a really nice gesture being in central London. Lots of seating in house.

I used to enjoy coming here before. The prices have gone up but the quality is gone poor they give very little food for what you pay.

Asked for two chicken doners and was asked “wrap?” and I thought ‘Yes, I want them wrapped’ so replied “Yes” and received two doner wraps. They were ok but minimal filling and too much bread. Very expensive. Had the runs the next day. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Do not order from here - it gave us food poisoning. We ordered the lamb doner and chicken doner. The rice we got was completely overcooked, tooth crunching and inedible. We ate the meat, and both me and my partner have felt terrible for two days. It was the worst food poisoning I’ve ever had. The food itself was very greasy and not flavourful. Checking the food safety rating, it is not a surprise that it is rated 2/5. Do not go here.
