Very nice buffet style restaurant with a great selection of Mediterranean style foods, good selection of meats, cheeses and many other items. Very relaxed venue with pleasant decor, attentive staff and a great atmosphere.

Buffet fornito e con buona varietà di piatti. La mattina vengono servite le colazioni ed ho trovato alcuni lieviti (Croissant e fagottini) non eccessivamente ferschi .Qualità sufficiente ma non eccellente. Prezzo basso.

I always go there for lunch (take away); I feel the quality / variety of their products tends to be much better than places like Pret or Eat that would charge the same; Hot boxes are slightly more expensive than salads (two sizes) and sandwiches but in general and whatever the choice it's good value for money. Also and an important factor for some like me, the staff are genuinely nice; Luisa and Miriam in particular are top!

Why could I book a table for 2pm while the buffet closes a 2pm ? The staff was totally condescending "Can't you see that we are closed now ? " ... yes ok ... but I had a booking ... "not my problem", totally unacceptable for a 4 stars Hotel ...

Nada especial, demasiado básico, quizá esperas algo más de un buffet en un Hotel Melia, pero esto es en pocas lineas, un desastre. Mejor que pongan una carta con x platos cada día, y seguro mucho mejor.

Abbiamo soggiornato in albergo per 5 giorni. Ottima la colazione varia e di qualità. Curiosamente nel suo “abito” serale il locale si trasforma in una mensa aziendale di qualità medio-bassa. Primi piatti insipidi,secondi di carne asciutta e anonima, persino la paella (la proprietà è spagnola) è scotta e insapore.Davvero molto male. Alla fine abbiamo mangiato solo affettati e mozzarella. Diffidate della scarna carta dei vini: 6 vini spagnoli, francesi e italiani col tappo a vite ( stile mensa?) Noi abbiamo preso uno chardonnay francese col tappo a vite al modico prezzo di 30 sterline ( 6 sterline il prezzo sui siti al dettaglio) molto scialbo. Il totale? 25 a testa per due persone più il vino solo 80 sterline.È una brutta cosa quando esci da un ristorante e ti senti inappagato e offeso.Si...è vero, si dice sempre che Londra è cara, ma non cadete nella pigrizia di cenare li se siete ospiti in albergo. A 200 metri troverete un ristorante italiano dove con 50 - 60 sterline in due potete cenare veramente bene e con vini che appartengono alla comunità enologica.

Reservamos para nuestra cena de Nochevieja este restaurante. La distribución de la comida fue excepcional. Desde la Paella de langosta hasta el cerdo asado y la Carne de res Wellington Fabian Ruiz nos recordó de una visita anterior de 2016 a Londres. Esto habla del profesionalismo y la naturaleza personal de Fabian y su personal.

El restaurante The Place ofrece un ambiente único y ofrece deliciosas y excelentes comidas españolas. Es un restaurante tipo buffet y es muy conveniente para los niños.Pasamos un par de días en Melia White House y nos impresionó la actitud del personal. Un agradecimiento especial a Fabian (gerente del restaurante The Place), que fue realmente excelente.Definitivamente lo recomendaría a mis amigos.

Hemos cenado el 31 de diciembre un grupo de 12 personas en el restaurante La Plaza del Meliá White House en el formato buffet. La cena ha resultado muy decepcionante no solo por no incluir ningún tipo de bebidas sino también por la baja calidad de la comida. Las ensaladas estaban completamente secas, los embutidos eran a granel, los mariscos estaban recien descongelados, ninguna salsa acompañaba a las carnes (ni siquiera había soja para el sashimi) y los postres eran vulgares. En cualquier restaurante de Londres te hubieran cobrado 40 libras por esta comida con bebidas. No esperaba que Meliá se aprovechase del cliente cautivo de esta manera y estropease una estancia que ha sido muy agradable. Lo único positivo es que el servicio era correcto muy por encima de la cena.

The food is amazing, the service even better. We had an amazing time, stayed there few nights with my family and everyone was satisfied! Great thanks to Chef Andrea, Jose, Nick, Dobrin, Antonio and Aaron - they made our dinner even better with their professionalism, helpfulness and attitude in general!!!

A very good place to dine. Great service and always a warm welcome from Nick and his team. Had the best Paella I’ve ever tasted served up by Victor the Spanish chef made to his Grandma’s secret recipe. Highly recommended!

Lo utilizamos para cenar cada día, pero realmente tiene mucho que mejorar. El buffet muy normalito nada para tirar cohetes.

My family and I went to this restaurant for my mums 70th birthday and we had a fantastic time. The staff were really helpful very accommodating and always smiling.

Huge array of buffet choice. Good value at £25 normal price but amazing at the £15 Groupon voucher price. As many courses as you decide and help yourself to hot and cold spread. Wine good value too. Convenient location.

It’s a nice buffet place. Came here with the family, it was a good experience. Service was really nice and food wasn’t bad. The only problem was the small choice of dishes.

Running a buffet is not an easy task. The Place seems to have got it just right with their self-service buffets at breakfast, lunch and dinner. For dinner the choice of dishes was quite astonishing, beautifully laid out and supervised by the chefs behind the scene. For starters a nicely chilled Gazpacho prepared the palate for what was to follow - a choice of Cod croquettes, Bruschetta and Quiche Lorraine, all very tasty. The Roast beef was served in thick slices with a choice of vegetables including roast potatoes, carrots with onions, mixed peppers and stuffed mushrooms. Fish and other meats are available including cold cuts, ham, salamis, Salmon pasta etc. A selection of salads, cheese and fruit and some delicious desserts such as Chocolate and strawberry tarts, Crème caramel, Choux pastries and, my favourite, Rice pudding. You can return for second helpings or more, for as long as you wish, and all for £25 a head. It is very good food, well prepared and served in congenial surroundings. All in all, quite a treat.

Das Buffet ließ an nichts zu wünschen übrig: tolle täglich wechselnde Tapas, viele Salate, für Vegetarier mindestens eine Auswahl an Beilagen und zwei Gemüse Gerichten.* Einen Tag meinte der Herr vom Service, die Auswahl sei nicht groß genug und holte gleich den Küchenchef/Koch, der uns dann nicht nur eine ausgezeichnete Pasta sondern auch eine große Pizza - ich habe noch nie eine bessere gegessen!!! - serviert hat. Das ist Spitzen-Service! Danke ! *Die tollen Desserts nicht zu vergessen!!

Cenamos una noche en este bufet del hotel y no podemos decir que fuese perfecto, pero no estaba mal.

Fui con mi pareja con un bono de groupon para el buffet, era una buena oferta! Fue mostrada por la zona de buffet que era agradable por Nikolas (lo siento si me dieron su nombre mal) con una buena variedad de cosas para elegir. Comencé con cosas como caseros quiche Lorraine, tan agradable y suave, chorizo y patata cóctel de gambas canapés, mini bolos.

Sin duda uno de los mejores desayuno se extiende en Londres. No cambia mucho de un día a día, así que puede que quieras cambiar las cosas un poco si te quedas más de un par de días. Sin embargo, había una excelente selección de comida típica inglesa, pan, fruta, cereales, pasteles e incluso una zona de fideos cocidos asiática. El café era bastante bueno, puedes pedir un café con leche o capuchino si no quieres el café estándar, el té viene en un recipiente de acero inoxidable de trenes tipo encantador, pedí el segundo día porque parecía muy agradable y estaba.

Si tienes el desayuno con la estancia en el Meliá, no tendrás excusa para ir con hambre. Huevos personalizados, múltiples carnes y salchichas, una amplia variedad de panes, frutas frescas, cereales y completa la oferta, todo fresco. Coberturas con el cereal son únicas. Zumos y café/té con personal, que son rápidos para responder y agradable. No probé para cualquier otras comidas, pero los huéspedes acuden allí, parecía típicamente con las familias, en contraposición a las opciones más exclusivo.

Este restaurante se encuentra en el interior del hotel Meliá White House en Regent’s Place. Invita a entrar en él la buena recepción que realizan los empleados. Ambiente muy acogedor, con buena iluminación.

Nice restaurant. Staff were attentive and the food was tasty. Mains were a little cold being buffet style and the bread was aweful being really dried out. Cold meats and chese selection was good. Mozzarella was a particular treat. Deserts well presented and good selection. Buffet overall was a little limited in selection.

I booked a table for two and on arrival we received a friendly greeting, courteous service throughout and information about The Place restaurant's various meal services throughout the day. The food was delicious and there was a lot to choose from. The chicken was succulent. The deserts were too good, I had to have a second helping. I would recommend this restaurant as the staff were exemplary.

The restaurant itself is very posh and situated in a very fancy hotel, great environment.

The welcome was polite but impersonal. there seemed to be about half the staff on training... one didnt know ahta bread knife was, another didnt know what a serviette was.. another didnt know how to bring ice to the table.. one cube was brought to us on a dinner plate!! Another didnt know how to prepare a finger bowl...!

Nos alojamos en el hotel y tuvimos nuestra cena buffet. La comida era buena y el servicio excelente. Nos hubiera gustado algo más de variedad, pero en general quedamos muy satisfechos.

Estuvimos alojados 9 días en régimen de media pensión y la cena era el colofón del día. La exquisita atención del servicio desde el mismo momento de la entrada en el restaurante ya era un buen presagio. Y contar con las buenas recomendaciones de Fabian y el servicio atento de Antonio fue excelente. A pesar que a veces el gran número de comensales no se lo ponía nada fácil. Y mención a parte la exquisita presentación del bufet bajo la mirada atenta del responsable de cocina que siempre que podía atendía las peticiones que quizás no estaban contempladas en el menú del bufet diario.

This is one of the best if not the best lunch option in the area of Regents Park/Great Portland Street/Euston. The selection of fresh produce is simply breath taking - this is an honest, generous and no-nonsense approach to serving food. There are different options available for lunch: - take away - very popular among local office workers (you basically pick up your own favourite ingredients from a large selection of buffet best sellers, sandwiches and salads) - lunch buffet - there is a paella as this is a Spanish cuisine influenced restaurant, there is always a filling hot soup and some live cooking (they had quite impressive burgers during my visit) - a la carte (did not try so unable to comment but judging by the the number of local office workers cheerfully queuing around the buffet you might not need to even ask for the menu) They have frequent promotions and a loyalty scheme as well. What I liked the most about this "Place" though - except from the fact that all the ingredients on the buffet look so fresh and are frequently topped up and vegetables or salad items are not soaked in greasy sauces or sprinkled with spicy herbs - is the staff. Everyone is friendly, enthusiastic, there is a lot of smiling, positive phrases and gestures, there is a real buzz about this place and comparing lunching there with a sad reality of mayonnaise soaked pre-packed sandwiches you get from large coffee shops chains around I think one would be mad not to give the Place a try if working locally.

Essendo arrivati molto tardi a Londra, non avevamo voglia di allontanarci troppo dalla zona dell'albergo e abbiamo deciso di mangiare in questo ristorante che si trova all'interno del Melia. Per la cena viene proposta la formula a buffet per cui si paga un fisso e si può mangiare a volontà. Bevande a parte e, mi pare ma non ricordo bene, c'è una gratuity fissa del 12%. Il prezzo del buffet mi pare fosse £25 a persona. Considerando il prezzo di base già relativamente alto e la gratuity non conviene se si ha poca fame dal momento che nella maggior parte dei posti di Londra si pagherà meno per un singolo piatto. Buona comunque la qualità del cibo e bravissimi i ragazzi del servizio.

Una auténtica joya escondida lo, deliciosa comida de alta calidad en un entorno muy bonito. Los camareros eran muy atentos y serviciales y nos quedamos encantados de haber encontrado un lugar tan maravilloso. El buffet de la cena y el servicio era excelente, el gerente del restaurante, Nicky, era muy servicial en explicar los diferentes alimentos mientras Katerina que nos servía era muy atento.

Para ser honesto, me siento mal por probar este restaurante un día antes de terminar mi visita a Londres, ya que resultó ser el mejor de todos ellos y es que para probar si visita Londres o quedamos en el Melia White House.

A buffet self service restaurant in the White House Hotel. A good range of food (but the bread is mostly white.) Not suitable for serious business lunches and dinners, nor a romantic evening, but served our large family group well.

Amazing staff to welcome you, namely Cinzia, Nicky, Katerina and Sammy, amongst others who always have a recommendation to offer you. Very tasty food and excellent appetizers. Relaxed atmosphere to have a quite dinner. Thanks for the great meals I had the pleasure to have here, I will miss it!

For London, this is such good value. Hot chorizo/bean soup ! yum, followed by mainsof rabbit, or pork, or cod or etc, with us sampling different dishes, well up to standard,then a variety of cold salads, to finish 3 very good summer puds ! nibbles of olives,dried fruit/nuts too. Drinks are not included. Good service too.Will return again and again !

Es una opción de comida /cena dentro del Hotel.El sistema es un bufet, con dos precios 25 libras más bebida, puedes usar comer de todo y otro de 16 libras más bebidas solamente puedes comer ensaladas y aperitivos o postres .A todo tienes que sumarle unas cuantas libras más , que Dani más ni menos ja propina, que en Londres te la cobran sí o si .La materia prima es de calidad , pero hay poca originalidad en sus platos .puede ser una opción más .

As Melia Hotel Residents we decided to try the in house Restaurant, this one is a Buffet Restaurant with a different theme each evening. For £25pp (inexpensive for London) it was still terrible value. The food had been lying under warming plates for hours, looked bland, dried up and tasteless. V disappointing. We made the most of Luke warm starter and failed to eat more than a mouthful of Lamb. Never again.

You will get your standard buffet breakfast here, plus a chinese potsticker dumplings. The selections in fruits and cold cuts were even below average, while the prices are quite high.

I had the chance to eat different times at The Place, and my experience is overall very positive due to the excellent service granted by the waiters who work there. The quality of the food is averagely good, nonetheless, the real force of this restaurant is represented by the waiters. In the first place, every time I go I get welcomed by Valerio, the maitre, who is impressive due to how he approaches his job with absolute professionalism and care.The difference between an average restaurant and a good restaurant can be seen by the people who work there. In this case, Valerio is the milestone of The Place. In addition, during my visits, I also had the chance to meet Inna, Valentina and Sara, who also seemed extremely professional and kind towards clients.Certainly a restaurant to visit if you happen to be in London.

We always stay at the Melia on business trips and love visiting the restaurant: lots of healthy options, fresh, and atypical for a hotel. Valerio was particularly helpful finding dishes for our young son Sebastian (and entertaining him too).

Delicia de restaurante, acabamos jantando três noites, no restaurante do hotel, afinal estávamos hospedados e tudo fica mais convidativo. O atendimento foi excelente, atencioso ..... nossos Parabéns ao Nick e ao Valério, foram de um profissionalismo e gentileza, que não se encontra em qualquer lugar ..... Não gostamos muito de Buffet, preferimos sempre o À la carte, os pratos que saboreamos, estavam ótimos. Vinhos excelentes. Ficamos muito gratos pela atenção que nos foi dada. Esperamos voltar outras vezes.

He acudido diariamente durante tres meses a este restaurante durante mi estancia en Londres y lo recomiendo sin duda. Variedad y calidad en la comida, y un trato del personal inmejorable, principalmente de Valerio, Sara, Katerina, Nicki y Jose Luis. W czasie mojego ostatniego pobytu w Londynie zatrzymalem sie w hotelu Melia. The Place, to restauracja hotelowa, ale bardzo przyjemna. Śniadanie (w formie bufetu) było doskonałe. Duży wybór i wszystko bardzo smaczne. Wieczorem wpadłem tam również na kolacje (także w formie bufetu) i było warto. Za rozsądną cenę zjadłem bardzo fajną kolacje z dobrym piwkiem.

The place is in the Media White-house hotel. It is a buffet restaurant where they serve both breakfast and dinner to both hotel guests and visitors. The breakfast was always okey but dinner was often a challenge as the food was ALWAYS cold and the overall restaurant always had a strange yet overwhelming food odor. The restaurant was quite average and I would not rush off there again out of choice.

No es la primera vez que visité el restaurante pero esta vez la verdad ha sido una decepcion total. Nada que probé del bufé de cena ha sido acceptable.Primer plato paella-incomible....seca y sin sabor. El chef de The Place seguramente trabajó con Jamie Oliver (otro artista culinario que intentó hacer paella con chorizo) ya que el plato estaba regado con romero. Vamos.... que olía a colonia de mi abuelo.Segundo plato: La carne con salsa de pimienta. De nuevo recalentada, dura y si no fuera por la salsa, la carne sola no pasaría por la garganta. Creo que el pobre animal antes de llegar al matadero ya estaba muerto por deshidratación. De la selección de postres solo uno ha sido pasable (tarta de frutos del bosque)y justo el que menos apetecible parecía.Inicialmente pensé en una tabla de quesos pero solo tenían dos variedades.En resumidas cuentas el sitio ha perdido su estilo y clima de antes. Se parece más a un comedor que a un restaurante dentro de un Hotel Emblemático en el centro de Londres. Deberían repensar el concepto del sitio y desde luego al chef responsable de "violación " con romero uno de los platos españoles por excelencia, deberian meterle a la cárcel. Y POR FAVOR...por lo menos podrían utilizar el aceite y vinagre español y no italiano. Lamentable.

I have been in London 5 times this year, all of them staying at the Melia White House and enjoying its restaurant The Place.There are several reasons to go there:- Amazing service, in particular Valerio made me feel like at home and was always ready to help with whatever we needed.- Really good homemade Spanish food.- Quiet environment.I recommend this restaurant 100%.

No faltan los ingredientes de la cocina mediterránea y siempre tienen una paella en su punto!La cocina la acompaña un personal muy cercano y profesional, que te hacen sentir como en casa. We went for a family meal and chose to go for the buffet . It was amazing food and had lots of variety for all tastes (also lots or veggi food which was good for me!) Staff were very nice and fun. (Especially Valerio, Sara, Inna and Ricardo. Great bunch!)I don't think I've ever eaten so much in my life. Highly recommended!

At the place we encountered a pleasant surprise, not only by the quality/price being well balanced (the mediterranean buffet is very variated), but mostly due to the attentiveness and pleasantness of the staff, Valentina and Camillo were outstanding and made our evenings a delight,The restaurant/hotel is centrally located in London, so very recommendable for a short stay in London.

My experience at The Place restaurant was overall positive. The restaurant is for both sit-in and take away, hence, it is very functional. The quality of the food is consistent and continuously averagely-high, with extremely good food variations.The foods that I mostly liked were the extremely good Parma Ham and the delicious vapour-cooked salmon. However, the element that I liked the most of the restaurant was the service.The manager and the waiters are in my opinion, the real strength of this restaurant. Above all, the Manger Valerio welcomed every guest with a unique professionality and personality, and he was available and happy to assist his guests in the best way possible. Alongside, also Sara and Ricardo gave me a very positive impact, as they also approached their job with extreme cordiality and pleasure.I had a great time dining at The Place, and I will not hesitste to return soon with friends to enjoy a pleasent and joyful evening.

El desayuno buffet es un poco repetitivo, En el almuerzo buena selección de ensaladas y platos variados. .el lugar se presta bien para comidas de negocios.Relación calidad precio bastante buena.El personal muy agradable y atento, sobre todo iulia y Camilo,.que recordaban nuestras preferencias con anticipación.

The restaurant is inside the Melia White House Hotel, they have a nice breakfast (hard to beat that price in London), mediterranean style buffet during lunch and dinner, with very nice desserts. The food is freshly cooked and althuogh it is not a fancy restaurant, the service is great. Some members of the staff are outstanding and create a warm, welcoming atmosphere, namely Camillo, Inna and Ricardo, who are always pleasant and attentive like I've seen in few places before.excellent customer service!

Ristorante all'interno del melia hotel, buffet ricco ma senza eccellere, poco più di una mensa aziendale, personale molto gentile ma grande confusione

Wenn man hier im Hotel übernachtet, sollte man unbedingt einmal hier zu Abend essen. Die Karte ist durch die spanische Küche geprägt. Hervorragende Fleischqualität. alles sehr frisch zubereitet. Der Service sehr angenehm und zuvorkommend.

Buffet muy surtido en entrantes, platos principales y postres. He acudido en innumerables ocasiones durante mi estancia en Londres y la alta calidad de las materias primas siempre se ha visto acompañada de una perfecta elaboración en cocina. Breakfast was excellent both in quantity and quality. However, don't bother to go for dinner buffet as it didn't even look like a tea buffet.

Buffet style spanish cuisine restaurant. Good selection of cured meats (chorizo, ham, salami, etc) cheese, and cooked fish and meats. Good bread and very good desserts.It's inside the hotel and it's very affordable so you can't expect it to be very fancy.Really good place for business lunch/dinner and large groups (which you can take for a drink to the Martini Bar inside the hotel too right before/after the meal)

Buffet ottimo, sia a cena che a colazione. Grande varietà e qualità, ci si può alzare e mangiare quanto si vuole, le pietanze vengono riportate di continuo.

We liked the restaurant though it was a bit quiet. We had some nice dishes and we rested well so we would go there again.

I had a chance to go to The Place restaurant with a friend a few days ago and the food and service were amazing! The services is very professional, each waiter were very ice.The presentation is really great too.The food was so delicious! Plenty of choice and massive quantity.I definitely recommend this restaurant and will go back as soon as i can.

A central venu for seven of us to meet off the Marylebone Road for a simple snack lunch. The staff were very good and left us alone unless we called them

This restaurant is located in the Melia White House hotel near Regents Park. We were staying at the hotel but the restaurant is also open to non-residents. Our daughter had come to join us on the first day of our three day visit so we decided to eat here for convenience. We enquired first about the menu options available and the floor manager was extremely helpful, explaining all the possibilities and showing us around. We opted for the full lunch buffet at £18 per person excluding drinks. The food is mainly Spanish/English fusion, the quality is good and there is plenty of choice. The lamb and the beef were excellent. The general atmosphere was friendly and relaxed resulting in a comfortable dining experience. The staff were all efficient and helpful without being intrusive. We would have eaten there the following day but the Sunday menu was à la caret only and the place was empty. We recommend eating here and will return in future.

Menu mediterraneo dove è possibile trovare di tutto. Antipasti, primi e secondi, contorni e dessert. Buona sia la carne che il pesce. Ambiente tranquillo e prezzo (25 sterline) onesto per Londra. Le bevande sono molto care (una bottiglia d'acqua 6,50 pound!!!!!). Peccato altrimenti sarebbe stato impeccabile

Nice lunch and evening buffets, with a large choice, all you can eat. For me, the best buffet in London. Breakfast ok too but you have much better breakfasts in other hotels (but also more expensive!)

The food here is of very high calibre, and the paella is simply wow; but the truth is, I don’t know which deserves more credit the food or customer service. Frankly, both are deserving.From the starters, through to the mains, salads and desserts, the dishes are first-rate. The taste is precise and on-point, and the presentation is delightful and pristine.Being the restaurant goer that I am, atmosphere for me counts for a lot, and here once again complements are due. The atmosphere at ‘THE-PLACE’, is warm, welcoming, pleasant, and somehow has an aura that has somewhat de-stressing touch to it.The waiting staff have always extended wonderful hospitality, with a professional, charismatic/charming, and warm-welcoming touch.I would like to say to the waiting staff: Inna, Ricardo and Sophie who have served me time and time again, thank you so much for always making me feel so welcome; and hereby, the amazing thing is, whenever I know that I am going to visit the restaurant for dinner, the anticipation of the visit alone cheers me-up, for me this is without doubt the definition of first-rate, excellent customer service.Outstanding food and customer service.
