I came here with my family to celebrate us getting together for the first time in a while. The food was amazing, with great portions of absolutely amazing food. The appetizers were especially delicious, I cannot recommend the baba ganouj enough. Most of all, the staff was incredibly kind, attentive and generous. We were served by Hassan who gave us a wonderful introduction to Palestinian food, and I cannot wait to come back here in the future. A must try restaurant!

food was unseasoned and overpriced. small portion size. the staff couldn't sit us in a 4 person booth with 3 people when they had 2 people sitting in the same one. womens toilets were clogged and dirty, says my friend. not sure what could be worse

Service was quite slow with staff standing around the kitchen area quite relaxed. One side dish arrived when the rest of the food was nearly finished.

Very disappointed! There is a takeaway down the road, near farringdon station called Lebanon and it is so much better! Such a shame, Hiba is a good restaurant and all donations go to Palestine fair enough but my take at wrap was the worst I ate! And the fattoush salad was full of lemon water it was not nice. I’ve ordered rice and chicken from them before and no I don’t think I want to come back here

Shown to a table. Provided with a menu and dirty cutlery. Then ignored for 14 minutes before I got up and left. Poor service to say the least.

I'm all for the cause but the food here is straight out nasty... I had to force myself to eat everything. Tasteless, probably the worst restaurant I've ever gone.

Very good Palestinian restaurant with traditional food and a very good shawarma with the right spices. A very good option to eat Middle Eastern food in the heart of London.

One of the worst Lebanese restaurants I’ve visited. Meat was dry and overcooked, salads - saw better days. Hummus was sour. The full experience was very expensive. Shame. Not recommended at all.

We ordered the set menu for 2 with fries. The meal was a decent size and our order was taken by a lovely woman. After everything arrived, we still had not received the fries so we had to ask them again. When the bill came, we were charged for two fries and had to tell them to remove one. Once we had finished our food, we waited a long time for the baklava that is part of the set menu. None of the serves came over to see if we were ok whilst sitting there at an empty table. We had to call someone over. Considering there were only 3/4 other tables to wait on, I think this was not acceptable service. The food tasted very nice. [Date of meal - 12/4/24]

You must verify your order after submitting your receipt...because sometimes there is a difference between your order and what was placed for you...the atmosphere is not suitable for non-smoking families

My 12 year old daughter found the staff welcoming, the decorations magnificent, the food good and the drinks had nothing to envy of the usual "brands" that we no longer consume.

I was introduced to Hiba Express by Sara, a friend I made at the march for Palestine. It was extremely busy as it seems many other people from the march had descended on the restaurant. I had rice and chicken because that was the first thing I saw and I was too hungry to look any furher. A couple of days later I was passing Holborn station and simply had to stop and get a takeaway. It suddenly rained buckets. When I got home I tore into the pavket of lamb shwarma and even forgot to take a photo, hence the part-eaten wrap in the photo. The verdict - it was ORGASMIC!!! Indeed, I love lamb shwarma and have never managed to find a really good one in London till I discovered Hiba Express. I've just got back from my holidays and can't wait to go back to Hiba Express to try the other dishes.

The restaurant staff are very welcoming. The chefs are absolutely awesome. Meskela, is probably the best waiter 😁. We’ve been here a few times and we make sure to visit wherever we’re in that part of London.

Was looking for a healthy lunch and found it! The Main Course platter which included option of rice/chips/salad(£1 extra) and a hot/cold mezze was probably too much for lunch, but i finished it anyway. Washed down with traditional coffee. When the weather changed staff was quick to put the cover out, which allowed me to finish without getting soaked. If i'm in the area again, will stop by and try some of the other dishes.

They do good food, but the waiter wasn’t as good as he should have been with the clients,he was talking in humiliating way although that was my was my third time in that restaurant. The moral of review is that they should improve their service.

Food is tasty, but mind that there is an additional service fee(12.5%). If you get today's dish with a soft drink, it costs around £20, which means it is hard to say value for money.

Visited for dinner with friends. The restaurant is spread over two floors with a small dining room on the ground floor where the kitchen is situated. The menu is Lebanese and Palestinian. They also offer a selection of Vegetarian and Vegan dishes. I ordered the 1 Person platter which was quite good and tasty. I enjoyed my meal. The only negative on the night was the very slow service. It took about 45 minutes for our food to be delivered to our table. It was disappointing to see so many takeaway orders being served while we sat hungry and waiting. It was quite apparent that the Takeaway orders take precedent over diners. This I find not really acceptable. We did speak to the staff about why the long delay. Overall this spoilt what was meant to be an enjoyable dinner with friends.

Really tasty food. Really friendly and attentive staff. As feedback, I wish the vegetarian platter had fewer stuffed wine leaves and more than one falafel... Unfortunately four of the staff took a smoke break by the front door, and it all blew in as my food arrived.

Hassan’s service was excellent and we felt very welcomed. The food was affordable and we had a very enjoyable time.10/10 experience.

Nice selection of Palestinian and Lebanese food. Today I tried the Kafta Meshwi, which was very tasty. I tried a wrap on another occasion, which was good value for money. Friendly service.

They were just about to close when we came in and stayed open for longer to accommodate us. Excellent flavourful food. The wraps were yummy and very reasonably priced!

Slow service, when i went the staff were arguing with each other, making me and other customers feel uncomfortable, food was good but the service is what was really off putting. Expensive for what it is worth but thats just central london i guess. Staff seemed unorganized and uncoordinated. When the waiter asked if i wanted bread with my shawarma bowl i said yes and then the bread never arrived, i was there for half an hour… but yeah good food

An okay Palestinian restaurant where we broke our fast. The hummus was the most delicious Kibbeh is normal Beans are not professional Mutabal 6 of 10 Free potatoes are delicious, but they are very oily Meat, to be honest, I haven't tried it But the food is clean, to be honest

All have to say is that once I entered the restaurant and tasted the food I was transported. Didn’t feel like I was in London anymore. The downstairs seating gives very Jerusalem vibes. Excellent pricing, flavour and service. Would highly recommend.

Delicous food and generous portions sizes. Staff are welcoming and friendly the space in the restaurant is ever so small but not too much of an issue. Food prepared freshly and tasted amazing!

Apparently the name is meant to mean 'a lovely surprise', but in terms of the service it was very much a disappointment. We asked for a dessert menu twice (two different staff members), and still did not get it, so we gave up on that idea. It was difficult to get their attention even to pay the bill - no one cared. Even the payment was taken almost with a sense of annoyance, so I really do not see what we paid the service charge for. Will make sure never to bother them again.

I come to Hiba often and I'm never let down! The food is great - great quality, flavour, and portions. The service is also good; all the staff are very nice and helpful. 100% recommend Hiba for the best Palestinian food I've had in London 🇵🇸🫶🏽

We are huge fans of Palestinian and Middle Eastern food so had to visit Hiba Express during our visit to London. We were not disappointed! The food was fresh and so flavourful, and like most Middle Eastern restaurants, there were plenty of vegan options! Highlights were the foul medames and the spinach parcels - absolutely delicious. The servers were so friendly and welcoming and the atmosphere was great. Highly recommend. 🇵🇸

Stopped in for lunch. Got the chicken shawarma wrap. Pretty good. Knock off cola with aspartame was a bummer. Decent for the price. Tables needed a wiping down but overall decent spot.

I realy loved the food and drink here in an amazing atmosphere. Everything is well thought of, from the tables that represent Palestine, to the pictures and decoration, along with the traditional Palestianian music. I absolutely loved the Jelleb drink (a drink with date which also has rose water) which I tried the first time.

The best Palestinian/Lebanese restaurant in London. I’ve been to many Lebanese restaurants here in London and this is my new favourite. Great service, price is very reasonable and the food is ALL amazing.

My recent visit to Hiba Restaurant was unfortunately marred by a series of unpleasant experiences that significantly impacted my dining experience. Firstly, upon entering the establishment, there was a strong and off-putting smell of raw meat, which was quite pervasive throughout the restaurant. This alone made it difficult to look forward to a meal there. The service also left much to be desired. The staff appeared to be short-tempered; a simple request to be seated at the front of the house was met with rudeness. The employees claimed that the area was fully booked, which clearly was not the case, and instead, I was relegated to a corner that lacked cleanliness. The presence of dust and general untidiness further detracted from the dining ambiance. As for the food, it was a letdown as well. The lamb shawarma, which I was hoping would be a redeeming factor, turned out to be hard, dry, and lacking in flavor. It seemed as if it had been prepared well in advance and left out, as it was also served cold. This was disappointing from a culinary standpoint, considering the potential of Middle Eastern flavors. On a slightly positive note, the lemonade served at Hiba was quite nice. It was refreshing and one of the few things that met my expectations during the meal. Unfortunately, the service did not improve as the meal progressed. No one checked in to see how our meal was going or if we needed anything. Additionally, when it was time to leave, I was left waiting a considerable time for the bill, which only added to the frustration of the evening.

I highly recommend Hiba Express for catering. I have used them several times and they are always brilliant. Sayeda is amazing to work with - she's organised, knowledgeable and very helpful - and the food is always delicious and affordable! Delivery is so smooth and the delivery guys are very helpful

Date Visited 10/2023: Whenever I visit a new country, I make it a point to indulge in Lebanese or Palestinian and Asian cuisine. While exploring the British Museum, I opted for lunch at Hiba Restaurant. Despite a line, the person in charge efficiently organized seating. I observed distinct sections for pick-up orders and dine-in. The food portions were substantial, and the quality was amazing. The staff member who took my order seemed surprised by the quantity, perhaps a heads-up on the portion size would have been helpful. The delicious food was so good that there were no leftovers to take home.

The food was amazing, staff were amazing and we felt so welcomed. Palestinian people are just amazing.

Came last night in a big group. The restaurant was very busy but all the staff were very efficient and made our experience pleasant. Food was very tasty with veggie and vegan options too. Would recommend!

Hiba is a cozy and friendly place to sample a range of tasty Lebanese and Palestinian cuisine conveniently located on High Holborn. As a vegan I'm always on the lookout for Syrian, Lebanese and Palestinian restaurants and discovered Hiba a block from where I'm staying. Very busy on a Sunday night was a good sign and I was not disappointed. They offer many vegan-friendly dishes but I ordered the vegan menu for 1 and was not disappointed. Servers were all very gracious, as well. Flavorful food, good portion size and excellent value for money. Will go back again if time permits.

Really not impressed. Easy to get to and vegan platter looked good but had terrible stomach ache afterwards. Would have complained but friend had a bad experience when she made a complaint. PS. And response from restaurant has justified my wariness in approaching them directly.

The food is excellent, so fresh and so Real. I met two friends for lunch and we had superb food! The staff are great and the atmosphere is buzzing, most importantly the food is the best!

I went with a friend and we ordered the £50 platter for 2 (I forgot it’s real name) it came with a whole load of things, 3 courses. Honestly it was a blissful experience, pure enjoyment. It was soooo satisfying! and for drinks we ordered the mint lemonade, honestly it felt like it cured my depression while I was there, I could feel it working fixing the corners of my brain, it was so good I had to buy another to go! I just wish I had more mint lemonade! Ooohhh and one of the salads it was made with something that looked like parsley? Pomegranate, lemon juice and something else, that salad was sooo good went perfectly with everything! Service was good everyone had a good attitude and very friendly, although I think maybe between courses we have to be more active as customers to move things along or maybe it’s cause we were sat right in the corner out of sight, but either way I enjoyed the meal I would definitely go back again

This place is incredible! Delicious, hearty food (the portion was huge too!), lovely staff and cosy atmosphere. Reasonable amount of vegetarian options and good prices :) Can’t wait to go back to London to eat at Hiba again!

The restaurant was pretty cosy and there were ample seating. The staff were very attentive and enthusiastic in their service, and you could see that they were enjoying their work. The food were affordably priced, well-presented and tasted flavourful. All our dishes were on point. They don't serve American cola though but their alternative cola was satisfactory.

Absolutely delicious authentic Palestinian food! Great options for hot and cold mezze, wraps and sides. The mint lemonade is out of this world. It's a loud place so if you're sensitive to noise take earplugs.

Good value for money and large portion sizes. Fresh lemonade with mint was amazing.

I ordered some catering from Hiba for a student Eid event at my work and it was amazing! I come here for lunch at least once a fortnight so I know the food is good here. The staff are lovely and so reliable. I ordered 50 falafel wraps, taboulleh, fattoush, hummus and a selection of pastries and we also received complementary baklava. Special shout out to Sayeda who helped me massively with the catering for this Eid event. The food was packed and ready for me to collect and the students loved the food and were so grateful to be eating really fresh and healthy food. If you're wanting to support local Palestinian businesses, this is definitely a must try. I can't recommend this place enough! Thank you xx

The food tasted really good and a good portion too. I love that they have the platee option that you can try some of the starters even when you are dining alone! One star off as some of the veg were burnt on some parts.

Very nice food. Platters for 1 are perfect in size and give a variety of different dishes within one! So worth it! Service is a bit slow in terms of front of house and bringing the bill and drinks. But the food itself doesn't take very long. Overall highly recommend. Come for the food. Come for the solidarity. Will definitely return!

Badly organised and bad service. Booked table for 7pm waited nearly 45mins to be seated. Food was not good. Lamb shawarma was too dry and overcooked. The chicken one was ok. Plus, the person got the orders wrong and made out he was right. Not cleaness of all places. I will not be coming here again
