The best restaurants serving Japanese food in London

Went here recently and truly had a magical experience with the food and service 🥰

I used to love the atmosphere and food at Kurobuta but both were missing when I visited on Thursday. The service was terrible; dirty glasses brought to the table, asked to circle our own items on the menu because waitress had no idea what was being served, wrong dishes sent to us and items we didn’t receive still placed on the bill.The food has also massively gone down hill. Avoid crispy squid, it has absolutely no “crisp”, and the wagyu sliders Kurobuta is known for, were average at best.Staff unfortunately out of their depth and unprofessional which makes the 12.5% service charge unjustifiable.

Really great lunch at this completely authentic Japanese restaurant - second visit - and both times impressed by the food, the unobtrusive service and the serene atmosphere. The set lunch was a great selection and just the right amount of food (had to leave the rice)!

I have visited several times and each experience has been exceptional. I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to Juvency for making us feel truly valued and for delivering outstanding, prompt service. I look forward to returning again soon!

We love Ikeda and everything about it; the food quality is amazing and so is the staff , very attentive and polite. I have been to so many so called Japanese restaurants but none can match Ikeda in its authenticity, quality, taste and reliability.I am a vegetarian and yet the restaurant beats any vegetarian food anywhere else.

Better flavor than other franchises of the same type. Very satisfactory and agile.

I am a fan of sushi rolls and this place did not disappoint. Great option if you are looking for a quick lunch.

Worst Japanese restaurant I have ever been to. Not recommended. Rude server and bad quality food. Added extra £1 to what the menu started

Reheated stodge. Had the chicken katsu that was hard in places. A meal that made me feel sad.

Awful. Strange smell, I decided to throw the whole order away.

A perfect fast food destination. It seems like a take away store. Famous coconut soup is a must try.

Food is usually good however today, i placed my order online and when i went to the store to collect the order it was closed at 8:30pm, but they still took my payment.
