This is a nice spot for a bit of an upscale dinner perfect for a date or with friends/family! Great Vegan Eel and absolutely delicious cocktails. Our server Trey was super attentive and friendly to us during our dinner as well. Will definitely be coming back!

This was an amazing first experience here for me and my friends. Our waiter Jorrell was so lovely and accommodating. As was manager AJ. They couldn't have been more helpful and made us feel so welcome. Even tweaked my drink to make it more sweet for me. The squid was AMAZING, compliments to the chef! I'm not gonna lie... it was better than Wagamamas. 🙈 100% recommend this restaurant. I'll definitely be returning with my family!

Thank you to the team that were in last night (Wednesday 16th April). We visited the restaurant with a last minute booking and received exceptional hospitality, I 100% recommend this restaurant to others. Food 10/10 Drinks 10/10 Presentation 10/10 customer service 10/10 & atmosphere 10/10! Thank you so much for having us and not rushing us to eat our food due to the time.

Came early and had 2 for 1 cocktails and 20% off food. Would have been great anyway. But this was icing on the cake or maybe raw fish! Either way lovely food and lovely staff. thanks.

First time trying yama momo and sadly disappointed. Overall food was quite average though service was friendly but perhaps lacking in finesse. Plus points, their sushi was decent and probably the best thing they serve, dragon roll and pickled mackerel roll was tasty. Downsides every other dish was unbalanced and some unpleasant. The pork belly bao was easily the worst I've ever had, flavour dominated by mayonnaise with not much filling. The pork belly main was overly sweet with a dominant star anise flavour and lacking in umami. The crab sui mai tasted store bought and was sticking to each other and the lining of the steamer. Seafood toban also average. Service was friendly but felt some finesse lacking e.g felt like they struggled with placement of dishes around the table to actually let you place your chopsticks on the holder. Some dishes were placed directly on my side plate which I was meant to use to eat. The warm sake ordered initially arrived chilled, this was corrected but it still did not arrive warm, and we were not given an explanation on letting it sit for a while to warm up, we figured it out ourselves. I call this out because everywhere else I've ordered warm sake, it has arrived at the right temperature to the table. I probably wouldn't go back but might order sushi takeaway only.

Great food and even better cocktails that came with a bit of drama. The vibes were very good on the Friday night that we attended and had we not had a cinema showing to get to we would have stayed for more.

Two of us at lunch so a little soulless with barely 5 tables occupied. No excuse for the kitchen to be so late with with my wife’s food that I had finished everything despite pacing myself and letting it cool. Service was well intended but amateur

I came here with my partner and granddaughter for a Sunday evening meal. We were greated by a very professional host, who accommodated our seating area for us, by making sure we were warm and comfortable. Besme, who was our server, was on point and advised us on our desserts. Which made it easier for my granddaughter to choose. I highly recommend this place. Downfall, it's a shame that the toilets need a little TLC, but minus that a very lovely evening. We will definitely be back. El.

Been going here for many years for special occasion meals. However the service has changed and the food is still great but portions smaller and just not on the mark as it use to be. Normally a little fuss use the be made for a birthday but not a mention when we arrived. Food good but everything else needs work one

This was a well needed dinner date for my 30th Birthday last week. We had some sushi 🍣 it was so delicious I only took a video of the mains but both mains and starters were so good we ended up getting another sushi dish after eating this. I would highly recommend this restaurant as the staff were very friendly and the food was incredible as were the drinks

Reem was our waitress for the time we dined tonight (21.12.24) and she was really lovely. Whilst professional she had a nice calm presence. The food from the starters to mains was gorgeous, arrived efficiently with time and was deliciously flavourful and hot. The drinks were great, I had my favourite wine and my other half had a mocktail omg!!! It was the most stunning alcohol free drink I’ve ever tasted, it was rich and vibed with all the flavours in the caption. I’m an infrequent customer to Yama Momo and it’s a place that’s never disappointed. Great ambiance. Thank you ☺️

This is the place we have been going for the last ten years as our 14 year old son is a massive fan. And we never regret it. Lovely refreshing dishes with just the right service.

The food was amazing and the presentation of each dish was delight.

For the price point, the food was average. It didn’t taste bad but the sushi felt a little bit like a ‘car crash’ with no distinction of texture or flavour. We had hope in this sushi restaurant as we’ve heard about it and read the reviews. It’s difficult to find a sushi restaurant which has the knowledge of bringing flavours to the food without having to add sauces to lift the flavours up. Overall it didn’t taste bad but if you are looking for a foodie restaurant, it’s not the place for you.

The standard of the food and the service were excellent. The staff were very friendly, attentive and keen to please. The food was prepared and served promptly. The quality of the food preparation and presentation were excellent. It was a cold night and the restaurant was delightfully warm.

Food is nice enough, cocktails are lovely, my low rating is for the very weird taste in music (and service). We’ve been a few times now and it’s always the same - pop music?? It has so much potential to be a great little spot if only that was more suited to the vibe. I had also emailed a couple of times to check if they played different music on different nights to book again for a birthday, but no response. Unfortunately ambience and service is equally as important to us as the food so we chose not to go back because of that…. However, if you like mainstream pop music while you eat Japanese food in a dimly lit chilled setting, with uninterested staff, this is your place 🙃

Perhaps our Dulwich favourite restaurant. Quality and flavour remains great. Atmosphere like you’re more in Soho than Lordship Lane which is great!

Lovely restaurant - my second visit here and once again I was impressed. Staff are really friendly and attentive! Food was delicious- only bad thing was the veg and lack of options. We ordered steam veg and it was more like a veg stir fry which was not nice. I had my favourite - volcano rolls absolutely delicious! The manager is lovely and always makes me feel welcome! I will be returning real soon! Thank you guys!

I came here a few years ago and remember the food being divine! Maybe my expectations were set too high but the food was not near as good as it was then. Service was very good.

We didn't bother getting any starter dishes. Instead we got a few things to share from the rest of the menu. Our favourites were the truffle beef and the black cod from the main course options. The pork belly and chicken katsu baos were the least impressive and not worth bothering with. You get a rather thin slice of pork belly in the bao. The ratio of meat to bun is off. Normally you'd get a proper slab slice of pork belly in a bao, so it feels quite miserly. The chicken katsu bao bun was nothing out of the ordinary. We also got some sushi rolls- el diablo lobster roll (ok, but not everyone was sure they got lobster in each piece), volcano roll (liked this the most of all of them, very nice sauce), soft shell crab (okay) and Yamamomo special (lots of pieces of fish like salmon, tuna and yellowtail, good but not omg this is so special). They have a number of cocktails, but we didn't order any drinks. Overall the food and service was not bad. A couple of dishes stood out. Nothing overly negative to say about the rest. Our server (Josue O it says on the receipt) was lovely. We liked the atmosphere and music. They were decorated for Halloween when we went. It wasn't busy on a Tuesday evening in October. We did have to book a very early dinner slot as we were using First Table, but we left around the start of the usual dinner service and only a few tables were taken. Not out of the ordinary given the time of week. The total was £168 for 8 dishes between 4 people. With the first table discount (50%) it came to £84 plus a suggested service charge of 12.5% was added. So, it's obviously outstanding value when you use first table (the whole menu is open for you to choose from, which is marvellous). They offer their own discounts if you're not on first table, like an early bird offer and happy hour. To be honest their current average rating (4.4) is on the money. I've given a 5 because of the value after discount rather than the quality. Without that I would probably have given them 4 stars. Una noche tan decepcionante - realmente recomendaría evitar este restaurante ahora. Hemos estado yendo aquí por años pero este lugar realmente ha ido cuesta abajo. La comida era bastante buena, pero teniendo en cuenta los altos precios que estás pagando el servicio era increíblemente malo. El personal parecía no estar entrenado en habilidades básicas de servicio, esperamos más de 30 minutos para nuestras bebidas y habíamos terminado prácticamente nuestros entrantes antes de que llegaran, además el "gerente" Michele fue hosco y grosero cuando cortésmente explicamos que no pagaríamos el cargo por servicio debido a nuestra mala experiencia. Cuando sugerí que un gesto como quitar el vino que habíamos esperado tanto tiempo de la factura sería apreciado, ella dijo "¡no hacemos eso aquí"! Basta de decir.

Sushi is very tasteless. The red dragon roll just tasted of lemon it was a very off sour taste. I felt so gross afterwards

The sushi came and didn’t have much flavour. The soy sauce plates had dust in them and overall the service was ok. I won’t be visiting again.

Got food poisoning from here😭 something was very off about the sushi - there wasn’t much taste. Then there was a sour lemon flavour. Then the volcano sushi was just a strange flavour. It’s put me off sushi for atleast 6 months when I love sushi so much. It was just terrible

Very enjoyable evening - a special meal to mark a birthday. Cocktails, food, sake and pudding all just that bit different and interesting, and very tasty. Good service. Will return!

Sui mui duro y no tan caliente terriyaki tenía un sabor extraño. Sushi bien. Sashimi demasiado frío. Hemos comido aquí cargas nunca había tenido una experiencia tan pobre antes. Servicio encantador como de costumbre, pero no estoy seguro de que volveremos pronto, tsunami vkinou y jardín de sushi son mucho mejores.
