Food was amazing, I have been to this place for few times, it never fails, got the same taste, which was amazing. All food are good but fried Aubergine is highly recommended. All team members are very friendly. it was good that they have place to hang our coat/ jacket.

We visited on a Saturday lunchtime, and the restaurant was nearly full. A line started forming outside, even though the basement floor remained closed. The dining area felt quite cramped, especially with winter jackets taking up extra space. The ramen was good, though not extraordinary, but the chicken wing starter was a standout—highly recommended and absolutely delicious. For three people, with no alcohol, four starters, and one ramen each, the bill came to approximately £28 per person. Overall, I’d recommend this place, though it’s best to visit during quieter times for a more comfortable experience.

This place is popular and busy. Ramen was perfectly cooked and vegan tonkotsu was rich however a tad on the salty side. The sides were nice. Well worth a visit if you like ramen. The price is very reasonable.

One of my favourite ramen places, I can't wait to go back. So yummy! It is a walk-in place, and it is always busy, however you don't need to wait outside or in a queue, you can enjoy a very nice cocktail in the bar downstairs. The service is great, very kind and helpfull. Highly recommended!

Delicious ramen and great atmosphere!

Food was ok and nice atmosphere inside. The waitress rushed us out though just as we had finished our meal. My friend was told NO DESSERT and NO DRINKS, we were rushed downstairs to finish our wine. Kinda ruined our experience

I had a ramen soup at Hakata and really enjoyed it! The broth was well-balanced, with great flavors, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. The staff were friendly and attentive, making the experience even better. I tried the vegan ramen, and it was absolutely delicious. I’ll definitely be coming back again!

Service was very attentive & fast. Food is good, except Ribs soy garlic was caramelised which wasn't mentioned on the menu. It gets busy from 6pm. Tables are sharing.

Food was great and came out fairly quick. I had the Shoyu with pork and shiitaku mushroom broth. Tasted great and it wasn't too big. Sparkling water was only £1.50 for a big bottle, good value. Even though there was a small wait to get in (~10mins) the service was really quick and the staff really attentive. Would recommend.

The best ramen place for us, we love coming here every time we are in London, sometimes we go out of our way just to have lunch or dinner here. Great selection of both meat and vegan ramen, amazing sides, good selection of drinks. The staff is always polite and fast, and the reward card gives you a free ramen every once in a while, so bonus! I wish I had pictures to show, but usually we don't waste time taking pictures, we just focus on the food in front of us!

Tried the winter katsu curry ramen special- it was great and very filling! Same with the katsu bao. Great place for quick food, and it’s quite lively and busy. Staff were really nice as well

I had the spicy chicken ramen, which was delicious with a rich, flavourful mushroom broth. The chicken karaage Hirata was perfectly crispy and delightful. I would definitely return.

Quick turnarounds and nice atmosphere. Mediocre ramen. Tonkotsu fine, but you can get better elsewhere. Katsu ramen is an unpleasant, overly pumpkiny gimmick.

This may be the best ramen I've ever had in London - not exaggerating! The tonkotsu was amazing and the bone broth delicious. The unlimited tea top ups is a nice touch. Can't wait to return!

If you’re looking for good food, quick service and plenty of vegetarian and vegan options this is a great place. We’ve been here many times and it’s become our favourite ramen place. It’s always busy and whilst you can’t reserve table it’s pretty quick turnaround.

Lovely food as always! The ramen was rich and creamy, the Takoyaki were perfect. There is never enough octopus but it's ok. The service was good and fast, we did ask to wait to serve the ramen as we wanted to enjoy the starter first without having to rush but that did not happen. Their tea with lemongrass was to die for!!! Omg I have never tasted something more flavourful and amazing!!

What great food, the aubergine karage was insane, a friend recommended and worth the order. Quantity of food is very good for London standards. And the staff is lovely. However, a bit in a hurry some of them.

Still dreaming about the food from Hakata Ramen!!! This was kid friendly, delicious, and fairly priced. The chicken katsu curry ramen is next level!!! I’m still craving it. My 7 year old ate 2 servings of the soy garlic wings. They were so crispy and even came with a bowl of lemon water to wash your hands. My other 2 kids had miso ramen and for the first time finished their bowls! I also highly recommend the gochujang corn ribs and chicken katsu bao buns🤤 The service was impeccable! We plan on visiting again before the end of our holiday!

I think about the vegan miso soup every day, can't wait to go back again. These guys know how to cook!

Had the best time with the best food! I especially loved their pork ramen.

Booking isn't possible here. As a pair we only had to wait for about 5 minutes outside to get a table. Busy and bustling room, with some shared tables and smaller ones. Simple menu with a variety of ramen (including) vegan options and starters. Had the Tonkotsu ramen which was rich and flavourfull. Hirata and gyoza were tasty. Lively atmosphere and prompt service. Not a long evening sort of service. Good value for money.

We popped into Hakata Ramen + Bar for a quick dinner and it did not disappoint. For starters, we had the vegetable gyoza and the chicken gyoza. We each ordered ramen for our mains. Everything was delicious. The service was great and the food came out very quickly. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a good local ramen joint.

Great place. Ramen 🍜 is quite good. I've tried both pork and chicken with the chicken beeing my favorite. The Bao buns where amazing and the chicken wings spicy 🔥 hot if that is your cup of tea. All in all tasty food and a lively place so much so that my friends that went ended up going there with their wifes. They also have a bar in the basement with all kind of beer. You must try the rice one it is really good. Be aware that there is no booking and you might have to wait at the entrance but every time I've went we did not wait more.rhen 15. I would say it's worth it.

Best ramen I’ve ever had! Favourite restaurant in London

Finally, a decent gluten free ramen place in London! Hakata makes delicious ramen in a variety of vegan and non-vegan broths, that can be modified to suit gluten free diets when you swap for shirataki noodles. Although I would prefer more 'dense' noodles, the broth and toppings more than make up for it. I really enjoyed the Miso broth that I ordered! The interior is also very intimate, and stylish. Great for dates, or catching up with a few friends! Not pictured but absolutely incredible: the soy garlic chicken wings!

Delicious ramen restaurant. Welcome by staff...and a big drum beat. Quivk setvice and a tasty one ...with tea is one of the best ramen tasted in UK. Would highly recommend a visit, even though a bit on the dear side for a noodle dish.

Our go to spot for ramen in central London. It’s cheap and tasty. Just be prepared to wait as there’s always a long queue.

Every item of food we received was quite frankly spectacular, every bite danced across my taste buds. Not only was the food we received exceptional, but the lovely people who cared for us were unforgettable to say the least. Cheers to a perfect night, I would recommend to a friend and would love to come again.

The foods is good but the service one of their member staff cleaning and getting our plate while one of our friend eating its like un respectful she is in hurry to clean our space.

I usually try to keep focused on the positives but today I feel the need to be honest in this review. Rating this restaurant an overall 3 star because the service of the members of staff are disrespectful. My husband is still eating when they are already clearing the table and didn’t even ask us if we’ve already finish. They just instantly take all the plates/bowls/cutleries away. Food and prices are fair enough for me, nothing special.

It is a Lovely and quaint place, with quick service and attentive staff. We tried The Vegan and The Pork Bellt Ramen, which were really rich and tasty. Will definitely be back.

The broth had deep umami flavor but a tad salty, it was enjoyable and affordable and recommend it for a quick meal before the theater!

I've been here so many times over the past couple months and it is literally THE BEST RAMEN. I love this place and will be visiting it tonnes more

My fav ramen place in London!!!

We went there to eat gyozas and Tonkotsu ramen. The service is very efficient, the gyozas are good but we were particularly disappointed by the ramen. The egg was good and so were the two slices of pork but the broth had almost no taste and the noodles were not very quality. Big disappointment for us. Finally, we did not appreciate the atmosphere of the restaurant. There are way too many people and I have never been to such a noisy restaurant, we couldn't hear each other speak. It was more of an evening bar atmosphere and you don't expect that when going to eat Japanese food. The prices are correct but we advise against it for all the reasons explained.

Great ramen at a reasonably-priced, dog-friendly restaurant. Fully recommend the Hakata Ramen, as well as the Karaage. The food is filling and really tasty. Will definitely be back. If you have to wait for a table they'll send you to the bar downstairs for a pre-dinner drink. Dogs are welcome and they'll bring a water bowl.

Food was quickly served and tasted great. Loved the broth. Hard to build a nice atmosphere with a small space and lots of customers but the quality of food makes up for it.

The pork is kinda low quality too. 4/5 However, happy hour cocktails are delicious are a great deal, two identical ones for GBP 14. Watch out, sneaky service charge was 16%, even though Bill claimed 12.5%...

I took my son as we haven’t had ramen before I thought it would be a good place to go as it’s always busy. Really didn’t enjoy the food it was quick to come out but didn’t taste of anything. The server suggested I add some soya sauce to it. My son couldn’t eat his. Safe to say we won’t be trying ramen again. It was also very loud so hard to have a conversation also the stools are very uncomfortable. Not a great experience

I had the Shoyu Ramen with chicken, which was delicious. The broth was mild but rich - highly recommend.

Food was yum. We tried the ramen and aubergine bun. Seating is a bit cramped but it adds to the vibe. Didn't have to wait when we arrived at 8:30.

When for a meal with a friend and was loving it until one of the service staff asked if we wanted to order another round of drinks and we asked to look for a moment to look at the menu only for another member of staff to come over maybe two minutes later and take the menu from us leaving the table empty we waited as we thought we maybe offered an alternate menu which wasn't the case

Very good ramen, good service, simple and efficient

Okay ramen but terrible service. The waitress was rude and aggressively rushing us out by taking plates way before we even finish and asking us to pay the bill. I get it is a popular place but don’t rush people out - these are your customers, not beggars.

Great cosy environment with delicious comfort food and the young woman thats usually at the bar is very polite and quite pleasant to talk to.

I ended up here after Flour&Grape had a super long wait time, and I am really glad I did. The vibe was really lovely and the staff were super accommodating. The food was nice too, though I wish their bao bun contents hadn't been so fried.

Really yummy food - loved the Kimchi, the aubergine appetiser and the vegetarian ramen (the mushroom bao was skippable).

Went there with friends and it was OK. It was a popular spot for diners and the place was packed, but we were lucky to get a table, though one of my friends had to sit on the end of the table making it awkward to eat, due to the lack of table space, even though there were 2 free spaces next to us. It was a fast service and the food was OK, but really noisy, making it hard to have proper conversations.

This place is pretending to be a ramen restaurant and doing a bad job. My partner couldn't eat her ramen because of the poor taste. I asked for some minced garlic to add to my tonkotsu and the waiter said they had none in the kitchen, and then explained to me no ramen restaurant in London gives minced garlic as an extra, which I explained to him was a lie. I asked him if the place was a ramen restaurant and he said sort of. I also asked for a highball and that blew their minds, one waitress asked me if I was asking for a particular beer?!

Good portion for the price. The missing ingredient — salt. Broth tasted mid before adding some Soy sauce, and amazing afterwards.

The rather mixed recent reviews here don't lie: aubergine karaage was very tasty, but their tonkotsu ramen lacked flavour. Service also felt quite rushed at times, but were otherwise fine.

Traveling UK from Vancouver, we were craving some good ramen as a break from fish and chips. The soup was just hitting the right spot and we got additional eggplant karaage that was super tasty too. This place does not accept cash, so heads up. Service was excellent too!

Do not trust google reviews....Price point is about the same a Ippudo.. food is over-seasoned. This is what we ordered - hakata tonkotsu ramen: they left the noodles sitting in the kitchen and it went all soggy - kumamoto ramen: again soggy ramen - Shoyu Ramen: over seasoned stock and soggy noodles, my mother-in-law could not finish it DO NOT BUY - Tofu Karaage: DO NOT BUY - Porkuribu in Soy & Garlic: ribs where deep fried and slapped on with some sauce. DO NOT BUY - Porkuribu in gochugaru: ribs where deep fried and slapped on with the korean guochujan. DO NOT BUY - Aubergine Karaage: this is good... 5/5 - Kaiso Salad: not bad... but portion is tiny for £4.50 - Special Gochugaru Hirata: bun was dry as sandpaper, all you can taste was the guochujan sauce... DO NOT BUY - Edamame: surely they couldnt get this wrong... well they did... extremely salty.

The best ramen bar in London and my go to for spicy miso ramen, edamame and their variety of cocktails and sake. Also extremely kind and generous staff and friendly atmosphere for those wanting a night out with friends, date nights and simply for the vibes. Even the loyalty programme they have gets you free ramen after gaining enough points.

I’ve had water with more flavour

I loved the ramen. We ordered a spicy miso and a miso and the noodles were perfect as well as all the other ingredients. The service was extremely nice and helpful as well. If you’re looking for a top ramen place that one should be on your list!

Taste is the best in London and very affordable price compared to many other ramen shops. We all ordered different ramens but my favorite is shoyu ramen. We also had gyoza and soy garlic chicken wings. Unlimited still water is only £1.50. That is so good for me x.

One of the worst food I ever had in London and we’re very surprised by the high rating in Google map. The noodle is tasteless, the meat is thin and overcooked. The chicken karaage tastes like paper. And all of these worths more than £20 per head.

Nos alojamos en un hotel muy cerca de este restaurante y lo vi todos los días. Ramen no es exactamente el tipo de comida que esperas comer mientras visitas Londres, pero olía tan bien y estuvimos aquí por una semana... ¿por qué no? La primera vez que fuimos, éramos mi marido y yo. Tomé un vaso de Prosecco y él tomó uno de los cócteles. Mi Prosecco estaba frío y tan bueno! Su cóctel era perfecto y exótico. Terminamos compartiéndolo. Luego ordenó el pollo gyoza y edamame, ambos perfectos! Tenía el ramen de tonkotsu normal. Se cocinó perfectamente con una buena porción de carne. El caldo era sabroso y el huevo de soja era justo. Tan satisfactorio. A medida que pasaba nuestra semana, probamos otros restaurantes, pero no podía dejar de pensar en este lugar. ¡Terminé volviendo dos veces más solo! ME ENCANTÓ el miso ramen! ¡Estaba lleno de sabor! Ojalá pudiera tenerlo de nuevo. El personal era siempre muy agradable y atento también.

Absolutamente horrible experiencia! Fui allí con mi novia para disfrutar de un bocado después del trabajo. Llegamos al lugar a las 9 : 30 por lo que el personal sintió que teníamos que hacer lo antes posible humanamente. El Ramen era de mal gusto el servicio estaba de nuevo mucho más centrado en que nos vayamos que nosotros disfrutando de la comida. Soy consciente de que ir a un lugar de ramen significa tener expectativas algo normales en el servicio, pero, cuando he escuchado a uno de los empleados en el fondo burlándose de la manera en que dije "por favor" mientras estaba pidiendo una copa de vino me di cuenta de que realmente no les importan sus clientes. Por cierto el vaso de rojo que he pedido estaba hirviendo caliente, no espero que un local de ramen sirva un rojo entre 16 y 18 centígrados pero tampoco espero que lo sirvan casi tan caliente como el ramen. Sin embargo, no me quejé durante la noche, además de sugerir amablemente mantener el tinto un poco más fresco, ya que tuve que pedir una limonada con hielo para mezclarlo en el vino para que fuera potable, la respuesta fue fría y separada. La Cereza en la parte superior era el Gerente General / Propietario que nos dio una despedida muy incómoda con un agresivo sarcástico "nos vemos muy pronto" absoluta desgracia. Aléjate, hay tantos otros lugares para el ramen en la ciudad.

Absolutely Awfull experience!! I went there with my girlfriend to enjoy a bite after work. We arrived at the place at 9:30 so the staff felt like we had to be done as soon as humanly possible. The Ramen was tasteless the service was again much more focused on us leaving than us enjoyng the meal. I am aware that going to a ramen place means having somewhat normal expectations on service but, when I have heard one of the staff in the background mocking the way I said "please" while I was ordering a glass of wine I realized they really don't care about their patrons. By the way the glass of red I have ordered was boiling hot, I dont expect a ramen place to serve a red between 16 and 18 centigrade but I also dont expect them to serve it almost as hot as the ramen. Nevertheless I did not complain during the evening besides suggesting kindly to keep the red a little bit cooler as I had to order a lemonade with ice to mix it into the wine to make it drinkable, the response was cold and detached. The Cherry on top was the General Manager/ Owner who gave us a very akward farewell with an aggressive sarcastic" see you very soon" absolute disgrace. Stay away there are so many other places for ramen in Town.
