"Nah, That’s Not Japanese" We had the pork buns for starters.. Sadly they were pork-flavored bubblegum wrapped in a soggy blanket of regret. And the sauce? Let’s just say it was there but refused to introduce itself. Then we ordered the ramen. Oh, the ramen. It’s hard to mess up comfort food, but this place nailed it—in the worst way possible. Picture semi-cooked noodles taking a sad bath in salt water. No broth, no depth, no soul. Oh and The waitstaff. Efficient, yes, but only because they were racing to eject me and my friend as soon as we finished our meal. I have seen speed dating events last longer than a meal here. Skip this disaster. Your stomach and your sanity will thank you

Best vegan ramen I have ever had. Go for the vegan tonkotsu. Not sure how they do the broth without any bones but was unreal

Vegan spicy ramen is amazing, perfect for winter. We also had their vegan aubergine katsu curry bun which was perfectly spiced. The only issue is waiting times and how crammed the seating is. You can ask for a seat at the bar or near the window once they clear up if you’re willing to wait outside, they don’t let you walk around whilst waiting which is annoying

A fantastic venue with delicious food and efficient and attentive staff. The menu is detailed and accommodates lots of different dietary needs and customisation to add or subtract from your bowl. And when the food arrives it is wonderful. Hot and rich with a lot of savoury flavours. When it is at its busiest it can be a little overwhelming with so much noise and people crammed into a small space. But otherwise, flawless.

We left all the dishes empty! That much we didn’t liked the food… 😂 Wonderful place and amazing ramen. We had spicy miso with mushrooms and chicken. I also recommend the rice lager 🍺. Fabulously relishes everything! Don’t miss that wonderful place! ♥️🤩👌

Nothing worst than not having a piping hot bowl of noodle soup come out, Luke warm ramen didn’t hit the spot unfortunately. Ribs were quite tough lack seasoning

Excellent ramen bar. The restaurant is small and the seating is a bit tight and not exactly exactly comfortable. Our group of 6 had to wait for nearly 20m to be seated but it was worth it. The service was friendly and quick and the food was flavorful. The spicy edamame was a great starter and we absolutely loved the pork katsu curry ramen. We got the Orbit Hakata red ale to go with the meal and it was nice. Will plan to revisit if we can.

It was my last meal on my trip to England, so I went to try some ramen with hot soup. I thought there would be a lot of Asians, but oh my... I guess it's a local restaurant, but there seemed to be less than 5 Asians, including us. The ramen was delicious and I was worried because it had a porky smell, but my husband said it was delicious. (My husband ate a lot of ramen in Japan, so I think he's used to the thick taste.) I ate spicy chicken, and it was spicy and delicious, like eating beef jerky. The karaage was just so-so. The atmosphere was like a bar, so there were a lot of people and it was very noisy.

We started with an amazing selection of cocktails, including the refreshing Geisha, which set the perfect tone for the evening. The starters were equally incredible: the BBQ corn ribs had just the right smoky-sweet flavor, the aubergine was beautifully cooked, the chicken wings were perfectly crispy and flavorful, and the prawn gyozas were tender with a satisfying bite. For the main event, we indulged in two bowls of Tonkotsu Ramen—one with melt-in-your-mouth pork and the other a rich and hearty vegan option. Both were absolutely phenomenal! The depth of flavor in the broth, the perfectly cooked noodles, and the fresh toppings came together in a way that felt like a warm, comforting hug. If you’re in need of a treat, make this your next stop. Hakata Ramen + Bar is an experience not to be missed. Get there quick!

Fantastic ramen at fair prices. It's quite popular for good reason.

Last night, me and my cousin had Kumamoto which was filled with full of flavour, along with some prawn gyoza, chicken karaage with yuzu kosho mayo, Aubergine Karaage with Japanese BBQ sauce and finally mocktail for the drinks. Let me tell you all, this place is 100% worth to go out and eat with friends and family. The staffs are so helpful and friendly. There is also a bar downstair to have a nice drink and the atmosphere is also pretty cozy too. I highly recommend to check out this place.

After a long day of traveling and walking around Tower Bridge area the family was exhausted and in need for some serious delicious food! My daughter picked this place because she is a big fan of Ramen and oh my the place didn't disappoint. We waited maybe a couple minutes but the service was amazing very helpful, quick and accommodating! We got spicy miso Ramen as well as the chicken Katsu Ramen and some chicken Gyoza. So filling and so delicious!! Definitely recommend them!

We really enjoyed our visit here. Food was excellent and it was a busy, but fun atmosphere. Also, the gluten free options were great.

Finding GF Asian cuisine is rare, especially ramen - but this place had an entirely separate GF menu and the GF ramen was delicious!

This place is popular and busy. Ramen was perfectly cooked and vegan tonkotsu was rich however a tad on the salty side. The sides were nice. Well worth a visit if you like ramen. The price is very reasonable.

We visited on a Saturday lunchtime, and the restaurant was nearly full. A line started forming outside, even though the basement floor remained closed. The dining area felt quite cramped, especially with winter jackets taking up extra space. The ramen was good, though not extraordinary, but the chicken wing starter was a standout—highly recommended and absolutely delicious. For three people, with no alcohol, four starters, and one ramen each, the bill came to approximately £28 per person. Overall, I’d recommend this place, though it’s best to visit during quieter times for a more comfortable experience.

One of my favourite ramen places, I can't wait to go back. So yummy! It is a walk-in place, and it is always busy, however you don't need to wait outside or in a queue, you can enjoy a very nice cocktail in the bar downstairs. The service is great, very kind and helpfull. Highly recommended!

Delicious ramen and great atmosphere!

Food was ok and nice atmosphere inside. The waitress rushed us out though just as we had finished our meal. My friend was told NO DESSERT and NO DRINKS, we were rushed downstairs to finish our wine. Kinda ruined our experience

I had a ramen soup at Hakata and really enjoyed it! The broth was well-balanced, with great flavors, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. The staff were friendly and attentive, making the experience even better. I tried the vegan ramen, and it was absolutely delicious. I’ll definitely be coming back again!

The best ramen place for us, we love coming here every time we are in London, sometimes we go out of our way just to have lunch or dinner here. Great selection of both meat and vegan ramen, amazing sides, good selection of drinks. The staff is always polite and fast, and the reward card gives you a free ramen every once in a while, so bonus! I wish I had pictures to show, but usually we don't waste time taking pictures, we just focus on the food in front of us!

Food was great and came out fairly quick. I had the Shoyu with pork and shiitaku mushroom broth. Tasted great and it wasn't too big. Sparkling water was only £1.50 for a big bottle, good value. Even though there was a small wait to get in (~10mins) the service was really quick and the staff really attentive. Would recommend.

Service was very attentive & fast. Food is good, except Ribs soy garlic was caramelised which wasn't mentioned on the menu. It gets busy from 6pm. Tables are sharing.

Tried the winter katsu curry ramen special- it was great and very filling! Same with the katsu bao. Great place for quick food, and it’s quite lively and busy. Staff were really nice as well

I had the spicy chicken ramen, which was delicious with a rich, flavourful mushroom broth. The chicken karaage Hirata was perfectly crispy and delightful. I would definitely return.

Quick turnarounds and nice atmosphere. Mediocre ramen. Tonkotsu fine, but you can get better elsewhere. Katsu ramen is an unpleasant, overly pumpkiny gimmick.

If you’re looking for good food, quick service and plenty of vegetarian and vegan options this is a great place. We’ve been here many times and it’s become our favourite ramen place. It’s always busy and whilst you can’t reserve table it’s pretty quick turnaround.

Lovely food as always! The ramen was rich and creamy, the Takoyaki were perfect. There is never enough octopus but it's ok. The service was good and fast, we did ask to wait to serve the ramen as we wanted to enjoy the starter first without having to rush but that did not happen. Their tea with lemongrass was to die for!!! Omg I have never tasted something more flavourful and amazing!!

What great food, the aubergine karage was insane, a friend recommended and worth the order. Quantity of food is very good for London standards. And the staff is lovely. However, a bit in a hurry some of them.

Still dreaming about the food from Hakata Ramen!!! This was kid friendly, delicious, and fairly priced. The chicken katsu curry ramen is next level!!! I’m still craving it. My 7 year old ate 2 servings of the soy garlic wings. They were so crispy and even came with a bowl of lemon water to wash your hands. My other 2 kids had miso ramen and for the first time finished their bowls! I also highly recommend the gochujang corn ribs and chicken katsu bao buns🤤 The service was impeccable! We plan on visiting again before the end of our holiday!

I think about the vegan miso soup every day, can't wait to go back again. These guys know how to cook!

Booking isn't possible here. As a pair we only had to wait for about 5 minutes outside to get a table. Busy and bustling room, with some shared tables and smaller ones. Simple menu with a variety of ramen (including) vegan options and starters. Had the Tonkotsu ramen which was rich and flavourfull. Hirata and gyoza were tasty. Lively atmosphere and prompt service. Not a long evening sort of service. Good value for money.

We popped into Hakata Ramen + Bar for a quick dinner and it did not disappoint. For starters, we had the vegetable gyoza and the chicken gyoza. We each ordered ramen for our mains. Everything was delicious. The service was great and the food came out very quickly. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a good local ramen joint.

Great place. Ramen 🍜 is quite good. I've tried both pork and chicken with the chicken beeing my favorite. The Bao buns where amazing and the chicken wings spicy 🔥 hot if that is your cup of tea. All in all tasty food and a lively place so much so that my friends that went ended up going there with their wifes. They also have a bar in the basement with all kind of beer. You must try the rice one it is really good. Be aware that there is no booking and you might have to wait at the entrance but every time I've went we did not wait more.rhen 15. I would say it's worth it.

Best ramen I’ve ever had! Favourite restaurant in London

Finally, a decent gluten free ramen place in London! Hakata makes delicious ramen in a variety of vegan and non-vegan broths, that can be modified to suit gluten free diets when you swap for shirataki noodles. Although I would prefer more 'dense' noodles, the broth and toppings more than make up for it. I really enjoyed the Miso broth that I ordered! The interior is also very intimate, and stylish. Great for dates, or catching up with a few friends! Not pictured but absolutely incredible: the soy garlic chicken wings!

Our go to spot for ramen in central London. It’s cheap and tasty. Just be prepared to wait as there’s always a long queue.

Delicious ramen restaurant. Welcome by staff...and a big drum beat. Quivk setvice and a tasty one ...with tea is one of the best ramen tasted in UK. Would highly recommend a visit, even though a bit on the dear side for a noodle dish.

Every item of food we received was quite frankly spectacular, every bite danced across my taste buds. Not only was the food we received exceptional, but the lovely people who cared for us were unforgettable to say the least. Cheers to a perfect night, I would recommend to a friend and would love to come again.

I usually try to keep focused on the positives but today I feel the need to be honest in this review. Rating this restaurant an overall 3 star because the service of the members of staff are disrespectful. My husband is still eating when they are already clearing the table and didn’t even ask us if we’ve already finish. They just instantly take all the plates/bowls/cutleries away. Food and prices are fair enough for me, nothing special.

The foods is good but the service one of their member staff cleaning and getting our plate while one of our friend eating its like un respectful she is in hurry to clean our space.

It is a Lovely and quaint place, with quick service and attentive staff. We tried The Vegan and The Pork Bellt Ramen, which were really rich and tasty. Will definitely be back.

The broth had deep umami flavor but a tad salty, it was enjoyable and affordable and recommend it for a quick meal before the theater!

We went there to eat gyozas and Tonkotsu ramen. The service is very efficient, the gyozas are good but we were particularly disappointed by the ramen. The egg was good and so were the two slices of pork but the broth had almost no taste and the noodles were not very quality. Big disappointment for us. Finally, we did not appreciate the atmosphere of the restaurant. There are way too many people and I have never been to such a noisy restaurant, we couldn't hear each other speak. It was more of an evening bar atmosphere and you don't expect that when going to eat Japanese food. The prices are correct but we advise against it for all the reasons explained.

Great ramen at a reasonably-priced, dog-friendly restaurant. Fully recommend the Hakata Ramen, as well as the Karaage. The food is filling and really tasty. Will definitely be back. If you have to wait for a table they'll send you to the bar downstairs for a pre-dinner drink. Dogs are welcome and they'll bring a water bowl.

Food was quickly served and tasted great. Loved the broth. Hard to build a nice atmosphere with a small space and lots of customers but the quality of food makes up for it.

The pork is kinda low quality too. 4/5 However, happy hour cocktails are delicious are a great deal, two identical ones for GBP 14. Watch out, sneaky service charge was 16%, even though Bill claimed 12.5%...

I took my son as we haven’t had ramen before I thought it would be a good place to go as it’s always busy. Really didn’t enjoy the food it was quick to come out but didn’t taste of anything. The server suggested I add some soya sauce to it. My son couldn’t eat his. Safe to say we won’t be trying ramen again. It was also very loud so hard to have a conversation also the stools are very uncomfortable. Not a great experience

Food was yum. We tried the ramen and aubergine bun. Seating is a bit cramped but it adds to the vibe. Didn't have to wait when we arrived at 8:30.

When for a meal with a friend and was loving it until one of the service staff asked if we wanted to order another round of drinks and we asked to look for a moment to look at the menu only for another member of staff to come over maybe two minutes later and take the menu from us leaving the table empty we waited as we thought we maybe offered an alternate menu which wasn't the case

Very good ramen, good service, simple and efficient

Okay ramen but terrible service. The waitress was rude and aggressively rushing us out by taking plates way before we even finish and asking us to pay the bill. I get it is a popular place but don’t rush people out - these are your customers, not beggars.

Great cosy environment with delicious comfort food and the young woman thats usually at the bar is very polite and quite pleasant to talk to.

I ended up here after Flour&Grape had a super long wait time, and I am really glad I did. The vibe was really lovely and the staff were super accommodating. The food was nice too, though I wish their bao bun contents hadn't been so fried.

Really yummy food - loved the Kimchi, the aubergine appetiser and the vegetarian ramen (the mushroom bao was skippable).
