Tempura prawns are amazing. Teriyaki chicken ramen was one of THE BEST I've ever had. Will be back every time I'm in London.

Lovely spot for sushi after work, close to London Bridge, but not too crowded or loud. We had the platter for 2-4, between two of us. It was a good amount of food, and we were both happily full. The service was also fantastic, everyone was very friendly and accommodating. It came to £75 for both of us, for the platter, two soft drinks, and incl tip.

Enjoyed a delicious meal in a small-scale sushi restaurant. There is an open kitchen and you can see that the work is done cleanly and meticulously. The staff was very friendly and the food was very tasty. Because we were a bit early it was still quiet, so the atmosphere may not have been at its best.

The sushi and Gyoza was excellent, much better than the ramen specials which were just OK. Our waitress was lovely but I did feel sorry for her as she was overworked and she seemed to be manning the whole place herself, could do with an extra pair of hands to make the customer experience better.

En una zona de Londres no familiarizada, encontré Wawa y las críticas de Trip Advisor parecían ser muy buenas, así que le di una visita. Un espacio muy sencillo, atractivo como era el menú con un montón de opciones y unos cuantos especiales de ramen en pizarra. El problema es la comida - todo lo que pedimos era sordera de siguiente nivel... simplemente sin sabor, ya sea el miso o sushi y el ramen de pollo teriyaki estaban todos pidiendo a gritos un poco de condimento. A la goma de espinaca no le habían sacado el agua, una pena. Muy caro también.

Lovely place with great quality food and service. As we came with a child, the service was very attentive from the first moment. We really enjoyed the great and tasty food and also tasty sake variety. We are thankful for the great time.

This is a fantastic neighbourhood sushi restaurant. Never been disappointed with the food. The decor is paired back in keeping with a Japanese aesthetic but can look slightly plain from the outside. Service is friendly and efficient tho not always slick. Top tip, salmon belly nigiri. It’s not on the menu but if they have it, it’s a must order dish. It’s not a cheap meal but not West End prices either. If you are local I highly recommend.

Really great meal at Wawa. A sign of good food is you don't come away feeling overly stuffed, just satisfied. Will be back when next on business in London.

Unusual in London, this is a very good quality Japanese restaurant with a relaxed local vibe at affordable prices. Unpretentious and better for it. Come for reliable sushi which is excellent and as fresh as you can imagine. The Japanese burgers are an innovative delight.

Ate lunch here with my aunt. Very friendly staff, wonderful atmosphere. If you're ever in this part of London I'd recommend grabbing a bite here! The menu's got something for everybody and the food is very very tasty :)) If I'm ever back in London I'd definitely visit again👍🏻👍🏻

Excelente restaurante japonés a pocos pasos de la estación de London Bridge. La decoración no es lujos - la comida es simplemente excelente. El sushi y el tempura frescos y bien hechos fueron fantásticos y se comparan bien con muchos otros lugares de todo el mundo en los que he tenido la suerte de comer. Excelente relación calidad-precio. Camarero Wai - el hombre también es un buen tipo!

Nos alojamos en Londres durante un fin de semana largo y comimos en dos de los mejores restaurantes japoneses (percibidos) en Londres (Zuma & Lucky Cat) y puedo decir muy honestamente que el sashimi en Wawa era mejor que ambos a una fracción del precio Muy recomendable

Just had the most amazing wagyu burger with wasabi mayo, plus some fab gyozas! Pretty quiet, get down there!

Nothing here was mind shattering, but I was craving sushi and it was definitely very good sushi that hit the spot. I got a roll with eggplant in it that was delicious, and for the price I was a very happy customer.

There were three of us, we ordered ramen, scalop tempura and 6 roles. The ramen was very tasty, the scalop was more tempura than the scalope, and what was underneath the tempura was more like half or even a quarter of the scalope in size. It took 40 minutes to sculpt 6 roles, and finally we got them. I liked the dragon and rainbow, the crab and salomon spice were just a waste of money.

Everything I had was delicious and whilst the price is a little higher than chain restaurants the quality of the food and the whole experience was superb

Authentic food, welcoming staff & a chill atmosphere. The owner served me himself and explained each part of my order. How it was made, what regions inspired each dish & was just a genuinely nice & caring host. He elevated my dining experience to a different level, which was already on a high-point after the delicious servings. Oh... And the Japanese Cheesecake is like eating a cloud... It's literal magic 🤤 The price was very competitive. Location is so close to Tower Bridge, so it's a great stopping point after sight seeing. Wawa will be my only Sushi Spot in London from now on. Loved it!

This is a great little restaurant! I’ve always received a warm welcome with friendly and attentive service. The atmosphere is cosy and not too noisy; perhaps because it’s off the ‘main drag’ but still close to London Bridge. All the dishes we’ve tried have been delicious and there’s a great selection of food and drink. I look forward to visiting again soon.

Great sushi/sashimi, very fresh, flavoursome and well presented - loved the blue fin tuna! Service is also very good too, the Manager even replaced a dish for us after accidentally dropping a small piece on a chair - Looking forward to going back!!

Came here for my birthday longing for a jazzy vibe. When I got in, I found the most amazing chill atmosphere - jazz music and no loud people. Food and service were excellent and will definitely come back! Thank you for an amazing birthday night! Loved it!

The sushi is probably the best I’ve had in London, and I've been to quite a few sushi places. I like that some of the sushi dishes are warm as well, and the portion sizes are really big too! I would highly recommend the veggie sushi; you can see it all being freshly and meticulously prepared in front of you. The only slight thing I'd say is that you wouldn't look at it thinking the food is top-notch. I've marked the atmosphere as 3 out of 5, but the food makes for an incredible experience, and that's the main thing

Simply the equal of any Japanese food I have ever eaten. We went there a few weeks ago with our granddaughter, all of us were simply blown away by the good and the delightful staff. The proprietor is a lovely guy and I hope we can get down to see him and eat here again during the half term it is truly stunning.

I have been coming to Wawa’s for years - particularly hooked on delivery as it’s such a beautiful and guilt free takeaway. The sushi is such good quality and I’ve tried several really nice Japanese restaurants in London and actually nothing really beats the freshness of Wawa. Their melting salmon is amazing and their rainbow roll is my favourite. Slightly pricey in terms of cost but well worth it for quality and taste. Worth a visit!

Amazing food and friendly service, love popping in on a Friday or getting takeaway, good value, my favourite place.

Found this place using Google maps and took a punt. We were only in London for the day getting a visa so was unfamiliar with the area. We were the first as it opened and we were welcomed warmly. They were willing to adapt a dish as I don't eat Sushi but then I settled on a menu option. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meals in a nice relaxed atmosphere.

Although it’s slightly more expensive than average, it makes all sense by the quantity of food they delivered. I hardly see any Japanese restaurants in london using fresh wasabi(not those pre-made one). There is a difference and I found that here in this place!☺️ Also the rolls are tasty as well! Also love the salad on a side! It is a quiet place to hangout with friends!

This food was amazing. The sushi was on point and the staff was super kind to us. They did not hesitate to serve us extra food and the portion size was very good. The prawn was crispy and the sushi was delicious. The best part of the meal was the ramen. A wide variety was present and it was amazing. Overall an amazing experience

Delicious, Inventive, Authentic, Knock-out sushi! I absolutely love this place - my favourite sushi restaurant in London by some way! Nowhere else offers such a creative and tasty menu, with Japan-quality food and service to match. Make sure to try one of the “jumbo” maki rolls! The staff are so friendly and welcoming. They made us feel right at home!

So welcoming and needed after 2 months travelling Europe. Extensive menu, the food speaks for itself. Fresh, exciting on the palate plus welcoming and gorgeous staff. We were fortunate to meet Tim, the owner who recommended the cheesecake that he personally made. Go here..it's a must when in London looking for for a change of menu and love Japanese/Asian food.

Slightly worried about writing such a good review and then I can no longer get a table... I've been here at least 6 times and it never fails to impress. This is my absolute favourite sushi place in London, and the closest I've had to Japan-quality sushi. Fresh, delicious, good-sized portions.

This is a great Japanese restaurant. I enjoyed my burger and was very impressed with the variety of dishes. Pretty much something for everyone, even a fussy eater. The atmosphere was casual and fun.

Wonderful little place, have been coming for years. Always fresh, always consistent. The melting salmon roll is still one of My favourite rolls on earth- a must try. It’s A salmon and avacado maki dusted in the thinnest layer of tempura - almost flash fried so the salmon is just warm and melts in your mouth! Divine.

Just landed in London after a roadtrip we were dying for sushi. It had a good rating, so we had our expectations up. Food was not great and expensive for the quality of food - £ 13 for Katsu chiken burger, not better than a crispy chicken..

Blue fin tuna sashimi was absolutely fantastic. The chicken yakitori was bit chewy and dry, that’s one thing to improve and it would’ve been a 5 star.

Tim, the owner, and the staff made us feel really welcome. The restaurant was very clean, with the food freshly prepared, which was delicious!!!! We went in the week, so it was a little quieter, but I should imagine the atmosphere on a Fri and Saturday would be buzzing. Very good value for your money!!!!! 👍

We used to love this place and order a lord however recently we felt that the quality and taste has worsened slightly.

Visited this little restaurant on a midweek short visit to London. Tried the scallops, maki, aubergine and a katsu burger. All the food was really good. Loved the fact that you could buy sake by the bottle to accompany the food. Good job I don’t live near by -I’d be a regular! Thank you for the friendly and professional service.

Stumbled across as place I was heading to was full. A gem food was fantastic and reasonably priced! 10min walk from Tower of London why anyone would go to Wagamamas when this is so close by is beyond me - highly recommend

No doubts it’s a nice place to eat sushi. It’s a small democratic restaurant with couple tables and benches. I’ve a salad which was interesting and delicious and of course rolls. For me personally if they don’t use sweet sauce all would be only better. Keep in mind they serve in small portions thus you may double your order.

This place is a gem. Was an ideal location for us being closer to Tower Bridge. The food was exquisite, the staff were attentive and courteous, and the place was clean. Value was also very good for the quality of the food.

Nice little restaurant offering excellent Japanese cuisine. They had a treat blue fin tuna. What a nice surprise. Skewers(forgot the Japanse name) excellent Tempura was great, no too greasy Nigiri pretty good Maki, a lot of fantasy, more Australian style not so much minimalistic Japanese style Ramen ok Ice cream of green tea so so The wine list is limited but ok, red wine served too cold. The owner was taking his time to go over all the options, which was needed as for one reason or another there were multiple menus. The fifth star I awarded because this place is one of the few restaurants left in overpriced London that does enforce the annoying 12,5% service tax. Prices are reasonable, quality of food (we are taking raw fish here so very important) perfect.

No idea how this has such a high rating on Google maps. Wasted my few dinners I can have with my family in London. Pulverised tuna without texture, avocado that wasn't peeled properly, chicken skewers (toriyaki) that wasn't even charred or grilled properly with sauce poured over it afterwards with oddly sesame seeds sprinkled over it like it's some salad. The tap water and ginger garnish was nice as mouthwash.

Overcharged for dinner. Had card machine put in front of me before having chance to see the bill. My mistake for not asking to check it through first and thinking it would be correct. Make sure to check yourself! Food not bad but v annoying

Family dinner at Wawa. Though the restaurant looks nothing special the food is excellent. We had great sushi, generous portions too. Prawn tempura also excellent plus the pork ramen special.
