Wasabi Sushi & Bento in Southwark

I have to say I'm not a fan of Asian food. Yesterday I was taking a walk through borough market and I was getting hungry. I have to say the chicken tonkatsu with rice and curry was just amazing,it was warm and tasted so good. ❣️ Whenever I come back to London I will look for one of these to eat.

Excellent food for a good price. Spicy chicken was very good. The Chicken Terriaki was also good. The mochi are to die for.

Undercooked, soggy and chewy chicken katsu compared to other branches, tried a third time this week, but same thing.

Amabal one of the cooks was incredibly nice, I got a to good to go, and 28 pieces of sushi and a tartare

Wish you sold the Other Foods OKRA snacks. They are SOOOO healthy and I eat them by the BOX full. Would have me in here ALL the time!

I used to love going there now it's going down hill stuff are friendly and nice but waiting time is long you have to wait long time to get serviced specially in lunch time Less stuff but more busy. I see the stuff work there they struggle to handle that busy

Yum yum loved my Chicken Bento Curry.

It is great value for money grab and go sushi. For 10-15£ you can get a nice bento of good quality simple sushi.

One of the quick stop wasabis with enough space for seats but only 4 window seats. Same great franchise quality but disappointing waste of seating area

I want to complain the female staff - Rana on Borough high street at 21/7/23 She is so rude and made me upset Her attitude and service is very poor She shout at me , and show me her poor face, no one was waiting, she hurry me to pay as soon as possible and shout. Can’t think why a staff like that, very unprofessional!

Went there Wednesday July 5th in the afternoon around 14:45 the service was terrible, the counter looked at customers as inconvenience, anyway got my food and he asked take away or eat in (I've looked around and there was a seat available even tho the store is small). Just after I place the payment he said "there is no place to you to seat!" I was left in shock I even said "wow that's how you treat customers?" Don't think he understood why I've said that as this seems his normal ways to customers, but even if there was no seats available why talk in such hateful way and also when asked me take away or eat in, and I've said eat in as I had my back to the seating area while paying, he should (as a matter of manners) tell me "would you mind if I put as take away as it seems all seats has been taken now" and not with a smirk on his face saying in the worst way possible "there is no seats for you!" As if was funny or wanted to get rid of all customers as soon as possible (I've asked receipt as I wanted precise time this happened, but after the bad service that he knows he did unprofessional, I guess he did not want to give me the weapon with his name on it). I've managed to eat my food ages after, went through Victoria, if he rather didn't say anything i wouldnt mind, what makes me angry it was the audacity of be rude with customers, would be better his mouth close than open his mouth to make customers feel unwelcome. This shop has zero customer services manners. I hope this comment help for improvements ! Great place for Sushi and japanese curries

Sushi para llevar. Hace la tarea, no será el peor de tu vida. Muy lejos del mejor, pero permite comer algo al paso por menos de 6£

Good service and good food. Removed alot of the seating though. I luckily got a seat but there is only 3 seats now and no toilets.

I was pleasantly surprised by this place. I had walked in earlier and was deterred by the low prices but came back later and purchased a box with 6 pieces of veggie sushi, and 3 pieces of nigiri for right under £5. It also came with edamame and seaweed. Recommend take out for sushi as it is cheaper.

I struggle to find many vegan/vegetarian foods around London Bridge more comforting (at a cheap price) than the Wasabi katsu currys, which are always hearty and usually piping hot. This branch is small, but has everything Wasabi usually offers! On every occasion I have been the staff have been super friendly and efficient. If you want to dine-in, I'd recommend walking just a few minutes to their other nearby branch which has plenty of seating (though it can also get busy at peak times). Recommend.

my gosh i love this place. if you like sushi plain and simple, is surely a go-to. not expensive at all (£10 for two boxes of sushi) and great quality. always fresh

Had Korean firecracker bento, for 7 pounds it is pretty nice. Small little place.

Accepted delivery order, updated status as preparing then cancelled with no reason after an hour

🤢🤢🤢 You are doing something horribly wrong with salmon! Either you store them wrong or use bad ones. Every salmon sushi box I had here was so stinky and it even made me want to vomit!!! Not going here again 🤢🤢🤢

Very clean with good selection and service.

I ordered 2 boxes . Completely off . The rolls were frozen , the fish not fresh and the color of the salmon and avocado completely black . Fully covered with sesame seeds to hide the bad appearance of the sushi . I had to bin the entire box .

I love the chicken curry bento from wasabi. Either with rice or yakisoba noodles it is always my comfort food.

It's nice. It's half price at the last half hour before closing.

Always great food at reasonable prices Go there quite often They cook the food quite well but once once it happened that the noodles were bit overcooked (Liverpool Street) But their Chicken curry or the Katsu Curry are their star dish in my view Had the sushi few times too and as well as last time I did not disappoint and I can only get them full stars rating

Nice and clean to buy your take away food. They provide NHS discount when you show your NHS ID card.

Miso soup tasted like it’s one month old, spring onion on the soup was saggy deep green and soft, they just gave me old tasteless soup adding hot water on it. Asked the worker to heat the soup up and add some salt in it, it came back hot but with same awful taste. I can’t believe people pay for this kind of stuff, it’s a scammy cafe with really bad foods! Don’t go there people!

Awful dinner. I ordered some food , completely wrong items arrived. The driver was not even aware , no one tried to contact me telling me about , no one answered to me . Strongly not recommendable for online order . Careless service .

These restaurants never disappoint. I can honestly say I've never experienced a bad meal from any of the restaurants within the wasabi chain. Great hot food and great sushi. Would recommend 👍

Always a pleasant experience. The staff are helpful and the food is great.

They serve variety of Japanese foods from chills to hot with choices of rice, noodles either in soup based, sushi or stir fry, as well as good variety of beverages. Although Wasabi is not an authentic Japanese store but their dishes are freshly made everyday. Store is clean, staff is friendly, location is good (a min walk to London Bridge underground station).

Clean store, sanitiser available. Plenty of space. Larger selection than see in other stores.

I ordered today to eat Rainbow-set and the box was smaller and you could tell that it was not fresh as always, nor were the pieces of shushi equal in size. I ate it because I got up early a lot and was hungry, but it was evident the quality left a lot to be desired today. A disaster, I will not buy more there. I hope I do not feel bad, because I would file a complaint with the public health department.

Horrible service, every single time I order, there is a missing item. I called the Restaurant and the woman on the phone was speaking another language with her colleagues, so I couldn't understand what the problem was. Very inappropriate. In the end, she didn't want to send me the missing item and she said to ask JustEat for a refund. What kind of people work there?

Tasted weird. Fish had a strong odour and im sure it wasnt the correct tempurature. The staff on shift kept staring at me as I was picking out my food. Not sure why i bother with this chain, tastes nothing like authentic sushi in general but this was bad. I actually want my money back.

Always have great and fast food!! I love that they have vegan options too. My go to is an onigiri to go and they're always so delicious and fresh even at 5pm. Lovely taro bubble tea too :)

They have authentic sushi and other japanese foods. Meet my expectation. I often wait for discount food in the night. Their food price will be cut a half when the store gonna be closed 30 minutes before.

This is my favourite wasabi from the franchise. The food is always fresh and very fast service. As a downside I would point out the lack of sitting place and considering that there is nowhere around to stop and eat sometimes is a bit of problem

Sushi in Wasabi is always good but I bought Green curry today and the chicken inside is really dodgy. Grey color and very cheewy. I'm just hoping not to get sick tomorrow.

Portions are poor and they ran out of rice during lunchtime so had to have noodles.

Clean establishment with either prepared sushi box sets or hot food. Great for a quick bite. Best time to get food is half hour before closure as it is reduced to half price.

Not really value for money. Food/sushi is mediocre but actually expensive for what it is. Would not recommend as portions are too small for lunch and you end up leaving with a 2 bits of a “small” lunch costing you £10

Ordered a take-out but ended up eating-in, bit naughty considering eating in is considered a luxury and therefore taxable. But it was raining. The ambience inside didn’t deter eating-in, sometimes these franchise fast food options are not hospitable but this was anything but. Still a full menu offering despite it being late. All food that was meant to be warm was still warm, a great bonus.

I know some people complain about the chicken, but to be honest if I’m looking for quite a portion of food for £6 that’s my usual go to. Sushi is getting more and more expensive these days, but at least they give some smaller sets alternatives in lower price. There is 50% discount 30 mins before closing time.

If you are looking for healthy food or veggie options, you are in right place. The price is a bit expensive but worth it.In launch time is always busy. Would recommend to try.
