Tsunami in Lambeth

Food was excellent. Super tasty. £17.50 for 8 pieces of sushi felt expensive, but it was high quality so fine in that regard. Service was slow (25 mins for sushi to arrive, restaurant wasn’t busy) and we ordered a second round of sushi which was forgotten about. Drinks extortionate. £9 for a pint of Asahi. £2.50 for a small bottle of soda water. No mention of drinks prices (barring cocktails) on website. 17.5% service charge as well - excessive. Atmosphere a bit off but generally fine.

Honest review- Service at the start was great but was deteriating as the night went on. Reccomend the spicy chicken bao buns, these were delicious Dumplings was small but tasty Would not Reccomend the gyoza. Mains was atrocious. The beef was sold cold and they wouldn't do anything about this. I spoke to manager directly. We also ordered chicken as main- this was tasteless. The cocktails were enjoyable. To be honest overall, it's expensive for Clapham. The bill came to over £100. I requested for service charge to be taken off which they did not allow. Service charge is always optional and only paid when service meets expectations. This should not be enforced.

We came for dinner and had a lovely experience. It was an early booking so the atmosphere was great, not too busy, good music & vibe. We were seated quickly and our starters arrived soon after ordering. The Peri Peri Yakotori was absolutely amazing. I just wish it was more than three skewers! Our mains & cocktails were also perfect choices. If you enjoy rum definitely try the Yokai! You are in full control of how strong you want it! All the staff are friendly and very attentive. Our server Nazia was very kind and incredibly helpful when deciding our order. From beginning to end she helped to make our experience run smoothly. Thanks Nazia!

Spent Valentine’s Day at Tsunami and as always the food and service was brilliant. We had such a lovely evening. One of my favourite restaurants in the area - the menu is exceptional and so reasonably priced.

I went here with my family for my Wife's Birthday last Friday. From the when we entered to our server/waitress for the night every was exceptional. Food was great, Cocktails sweet but strong and customer service was brilliant. A big shout out to the girl who dealt with our table she was exceptional and to the Pogi Filipino Gentleman. Lisa and Tami were very attentive. They explained each dish and the drinks as they came. They checked in on us just the right amount. They were very friendly. The food was fantastic. Scallops are a must. The edamame is possibly the nicest I’ve had. We equally loved the yellowtail. The eel nigiri was so delicious that we ordered more. The gin dara is one of the best in London. The interior is intimate yet inviting. The lanterns hanging from the ceiling with the foliage are beautiful and add a special something. A restaurant in London not to be missed!

Have been here several times but not recently. We were one of two tables so the atmosphere was what you would expect in an empty restaurant. The service was shocking and bafflingly bad. There were multiple members of staff sitting on laptops while one person stopped by every now and then. We counted two 10 min gaps when we didn’t see a staff member on the floor. The place is tired as well. Ther peel off table tops are grim. Won’t be back. There is better sushi otherwise in the area.

Ordered from here and delivery took over an hour even though I live 10 mins away , food was soggy and unedible , so so terrible I’m extremely disappointed and probably will never dine or order from here again.

Great sushi and amazing service!

Came here last night and had an amazing experience. The staff were knowledgable, friendly, and had great attention to detail. The food was exceptional in both taste and decoration. My partner is vegan, and management came over and recommended lots of options and even asked the chefs to prepare something special. I would recommend this restaurant to every friend and family member I know. You won’t be disappointed if you come here.

Food was lovely. We got 12 maki rolls, 12 pieces of sashimi and edamame beans all for £41. Cheap but high quality

The service was so good! It was my 2nd anniversary and I absolutely love it! We asked the waiter for recommendations, and it was spot on!! Love every bit of it! Might go back for our 3rd anniversary

Good food, good drinks, great service

Everything was 10/10. Wine, sushi, service, desert, atmosphere. Everything was amazing. Would 100% recommend and 1000% visit again. It’s my second time here and it’s just as good as the first. Highly recommend

First of all VICTORIA you are a g my girl! Every restaurant needs a waitress like her. She was attentive, genuine, funny and quick with the service! She made us feel very comfortable and added to our already amazing experience! The food is 10/10 (as a Caribbean woman yeah). I’ve never had scallops before and they have made me fall in love with them! The sushi roll was amazing, the squid was the best, the hot plates were beautiful! Such good value for money! My belly was FULL ta rass! The interior is so pretty and the ambiance is intimate and cosy. Perfect for a cute date or a nice family dinner! I would say go on a Sunday if you want that cosy feel as they are busy on Fridays and Saturdays! The ONLY downside I would say are the cocktails (depending on your liking) the gaisha cocktail was BANGING but the mojito and the magarita was mid /: …. But again that’s down to personal preference when it comes to alcohol ( I’m a Caribbean woman we love rum ;))

Victoria is absolutely amazing, beautiful and friendly, her hospitality was A1. She deserves a bonus. Ontop of that the food is amazing will definitely be coming back.

Came here for a date night with my boyfriend, perfect atmosphere. The food was delicious, and service by Victoria and Isamar was top tier, hope to see them again soon ! couldn’t recommend the food more, especially the truffle ribeye beef steak and Chocolate fondant !

All the staff were brilliant, but special shout out to rene who looked after us all night, delightful, humorous and full of fun. W have been here many times before but on this occasion we came here for a pre New Year’s party dinner and Isa our waitress was super attentive and nice. We ordered tacos, dragon rolls, tempura prawns and it was all amazing. Would definitely recommend to anyone eating sushi in SW London.

Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff from the moment we were greeted to the service of food and drink. Food was lovely and fresh, but I’m a vegetarian so can’t speak for any of the fish or meat dishes.

The food was amazing, the teriyaki steak was one of the best bits of steak I’ve had in a long time. Highly recommend coming here!

The food here is soooo good!! Tiger Roll and the El Diablo rolls are amazing, and the Fumiko cocktail is so sweet refreshing. The service was great too, few of team looked after us including Rene - all super helpful!

From start to finish the whole experience was amazing. Everyone was extremely helpful and polite. Even though it was a busy restaurant the service was amazing. But the food is probably the best sushi I have ever had in London. The drunken melon cocktail is a must try! The price for all the food is very reasonable and finally our server Victoria went above and beyond and was a great edition to our night, thanks for a wonderful evening guys!
