When I ordered, it took an hour to finally get my food, and that included being reminded of my order, yet they still provided an incorrect order. Very disappointed.

Really tasty pizza's made fresh to order, I love the fact that when you sit in the Inn you can see them make it - so you know what you're getting is fresh and from an immaculate kitchen. Ticks all the boxes for me. Will 100% order again next time I'm around.

Have been a few times over the years. The food is good basic Japanese but the service is always on the slow side even when the small restaurant is not busy. Took ages this time to get the dessert and the coffee came first which is always unacceptable. To their credit, they gave us the dessert in a takeaway box at no cost, so that was a nice gesture

Went to this place for dinner before an event, the restaurant had two staff members and they are both rather unpleasant to deal with. The blonde lady was rather rude and the guy had no charm, had to wait for ages for the food as well as to remind them to clear our table when we are done. At the end we paid about £115 for two people and I do not think this is the service you would expect for this price range, I get a friendlier smile at McDonald's or KFC. This place was there because it's location but apart from that they have nothing special. The food was very average and not authentic for sure, if you are going to an event near Royal Festival Hall you better consider somewhere else.

Crap food, dreadful service and uninspiring surroundings. There were chunks of plaster coming off the wall, and cobwebs and grime on the bathroom mirror. We ordered a starter to share and two mains. One main came out on its own and we assumed that it couldn't be ours as we'd only ordered 10 minutes ago. Then we had a bit of a to-do with the waitress, who said that it was ours, and if we had wanted our starter to come first, we should have said. She then brought the starter out first at our insistence, but clearly the mains had already been cooked and were just kept humming away under a hot plate – when they arrived immediately afterwards they were tepid and had a thick skin on the top. The empty plates from our starter were left on our table. The chicken katsu curry was really grim – a glorified chicken nugget with a gloopy and flavourless chip-shop sauce, and my friend didn't finish her tempura curry either. All this time the service was sullen and dismissive, and as the people next to us were also complaining about a missing order, so the atmosphere was pretty lacklustre for a Thursday night. I had previously been to the Feng Sushi in West Hampstead, which had a considerate and interesting proprietor and was a lovely place to eat – this is nothing like it. With so many options around Waterloo, you'd be better off going to a mass market chain like Wagamama for the price. At the very least, the food would be hot, and you wouldn't have your bill flung at you.

The sushi is good, as is the sashimi, others things are okay. I have been here a few times and the thing that lets it down is the poor service, they just don't seem to want to be there, and they know nothing about the food. The fish always tastes fresh and that is what makes this better than the other sushi places (yo etc). If you want to grab some food on the way to the theatre then its a good place for a pit-stop, but its not really suitable for dinner.

I visited here with my husband and some friends one evening this week. It didn't start off great as although my friend had called up to book a table in advance, they hadn't written it down. Luckily there were spare tables though. The food itself was nice. I had chicken katsu curry which was a really decent portion. I tried some of the sushi my friends had ordered too and it was really nice. With 50% with Tastecard it worked out really good value coming to only £15 including a bottle of wine (and service charge) between us. I wouldn't rush back here as it wasn't anything super special but if you want some nice food in a casual setting and you have a taste card it's not bad at all. Just don't expect super service. Our waitress was a bit miserable and the fact we had booked a table but they had no record of it wasn't great...

I'd give it one star, but the waitress was friendly. However, they were out of a couple of dishes, including chicken gyoza and chicken katsu curry. The water they brought was warm, with no ice, on one of the hottest days. Not acceptable. Worst of all, they brought our meals separately: 4 of us were finished eating before 2 of our party received their food—udon noodles! (How hard is it to make udon noodles?) The total bill was £96. Gave themselves a 10% tip too. There is no reason to eat at this place, with all the options there are in Southbank. Never again for us!

We came out of the Royal Festival Hall following a concert, at about 9 pm and wanted a lightish dinner. Just opposite the exit is Feng Sushi and so my two friends and I opted for this. We all ordered green tea (in blisteringly hot mug). We all ordered soup noodles, which were quite nice and shared Vegetarian Tempura with tempura prawns (nice, but the batter was quite thick and heavy). We shared 5 Chicken Gyoza (dry and uninteresting) and 6 Yellowtail & Chive Roll (okay but not to my taste). The bill was not expensive, but then again, it was not that great. I can't help feeling that the standard has gone down in the last year or so.

A Southbank staple, visiting Feng Sushi can be a bit hit & miss, especially in terms of service. Whilst the food is generally good (especially the maki rolls & fish) and served quickly, on the last two occasions we've visited, both times we've had to chase up forgotten parts of the order. The soft drinks were also served fairly warm last time, with no ice in the glasses. We generally have more success at the quieter branches, like Ravenscourt Park.

My first visit at this place was outstanding! Came on busy Friday evening, as they had plenty of reservations we've been offered seats at the bar. We had a drink over there and as soon as they had a free table lovely waiting staff moved us. We have been served by gorgeous lady who talked us through the menu and designed fantastic tasting selection. After a while of conversation resulted that she runs this place! Sushi was excellent and sashimi - mouthwatering! The other waitresses were both very attentive and kind. Prices are superb reasonable, there is 10% service charge added which is not much and well deserved for staff with such a positive attitude! We will definitely come back. We visited Feng Sushi for late lunch prior to a concert at the Royal Festival Hall in September last year. We were served by Juan. The food was pretty average -we opted for salmon, chicken and vegetarian gyoza to start with and then went on to try the chicken katsu curry and the 16 piece vegetarian selection. While everything seemed okay, there just wasn't that wow factor that you often get in so many Japanese eateries. Admittedly, this eatery is next to a huge venue in the shape of the South Bank Centre so there is likely to be some dilution in the service they can consistently offer; but we felt the food could have tasted a bit better than it actually did.

Poor staffing levels on New Year's Eve led to poor service and poor quality food. One poor girl was left to see to all the tables despite the restaurant being full. She did the best she could but food still came out cold (soup) or almost freezing (salad which was obviously pre-prepared then put in the fridge for a time). <br /><br />It is clear the restaurant has potential to be very good if the management are prepared to engage enough staff or arrange cover (if low staffing levels were due to some unforeseen event).

Went last Sunday night with my wife. I should have suspected something seeing that the restaurant was empty, while all the surrounding places were full of customers, but we wanted sushi so we ventured in...The waitress was very confused and she couldn't understand English very well. She got our order wrong, but I didn't want to send it back to the kitchen and had the prawn gyoza instead of the chicken ones. Unfortunately the gyoza had another problem, they were deep fried instead of being pan fried/grilled and steamed, and they tasted horrible, mostly of onion, with very little seafood inside. We told the waitress that we were expecting a different style of gyoza (the usual japanese style, crunchy on one side and soft on the other), and the menu didn't mention they were deep fried (it only said "fried").Another waitress intervened telling us that gyoza are always deep fried and we were confusing them with dim sum. She also said that they were an original Japanese restaurant so we were wrong and they were right. But she kindly took them away and removed the items from the bill. Now, I don't care about who's right or wrong (we are by the way), the point is that those "gyoza" were horrible, and that they felt the need to argue with the clients and to lecture them on Japanese cuisine claiming that they were "original" (maybe that's why they put cream cheese and chive in their roll, to be more traditional...)After that I had my sushi platter, and it was below average, same quality as Wasabi if not worst, too much rice, fish not particularly fresh and plastic tasting. My wife ordered something that never arrived because the waitress didn't pass the order to the kitchen. When we asked she looked annoyed, so we asked the bill and we run out of there. The whole experience reminded me of that The Goonies sequence when they venture in that cabin looking for food, but the bad guys are in and they are served muddy water.

Met a couple of friends for a catch up. It was easy to book and the service was generally very good, but what made this place stand out was the thoroughness of the allergy information. The waitress gave me a comprehensive booklet that gave all the allergy info for every dish. She was incredibly lovely about me being a giant pain as well. When we asked if the platter could come without mayo in any of the rolls they were very obliging. The food was tasty but possibly the menu was a bit limited (maybe only because I was trying to find something dairy, egg and wheat free). I found this through tastecard, and I would have been disappointed to pay full price, the food quality was as less tasty then a MacDonald's take away. I ordered Teriyaki chicken wings to start. I got brought some tasteless chicken paste filled crispy parcels that were blander than eating a soggy cloth blanket. I was told my chicken was on its way so assumed these were a complimentary offering to make up for my wait. The chicken wings never arrived but my main arrived shortly afterwards. This was the chicken Katsu curry. The chicken itself was basically bread crumb covered, served with a curry sauce that tasted like a thinner version of curry sauce from my local Chippy, along with sticky rice. To be honest it all tasted like something that could have come from the local Tesco freezer department. I am by no means a Japanese connoisseur but the taste for my starter and main was nothing that warranted it coming from something that calls itself a Japanese restaurant - where I expected lots of freshness of flavour - that unfortunately I can't say I experienced here. The food wasn't bad, just bland, the service was very polite and understanding when I asked about my missing chicken wings and they didn't charged for them. The speed of service was certainly acceptable for a Saturday night. Staff were lovely, just a shame the food was mediocre.

The restaurant is part of the bar, the music provided suited the young staff rather than the considerably older clientele, hence the low ambience mark. The choices offered under the various menus i.e. starters, mains were very limited for instance for Mains a choice of four one of which (belly of pork) was "off". The same for puddings I think a choice of five but the souffle was "off". My partner chose Salmon with Medditeranean vegetables, the veg was fine but the fish well under cooked.raw at the thickest part The waitress took it to the person in the kitchen who probably calls himself a chef who agreed but said "Raw fish won't hurt you". We were offered a free pudding or a drink, on ordering a soufflé we were told it was "off"<br />We are not complainers, we should have asked to see the chef or the manager but instead retired to be feeling thoroughly fed up.

Additionally, when we arrived we asked if the happy hour was son and were told it was. At the end they told us it didn't work with the Tastecard, despite the fact we had clearly made a Tastecard booking. Having the tastecard i had tried to call in advance to book a reservation. After calling several times and no response, i thought to turn up and see if i could book. We were greeted quite quickly by the waitress and i had asked if we were able to dine with the tastecard as i had tried calling to book a reservation. She said this was no problem and it was because they were busy serving lunch ( i had called at 6pm...)We were quickly seated and we ordered a couple of drinks, and a few bits to eat. The food in general was okay but i would not say it is value for money especially the sashimi platter.Anyway moving on, when we asked to call for the bill we had told the waitress( another one ) that if we were to use the tastecard we really need to call in advance but this was said in quite an aggressive attitude. after a couple of minutes she brought the bill and asked to see the tastecard number, to my disappointment and which i was completely aware of it had expired. whilst i was reaching out for my purse and understood that i had to pay the full price, but just as i was doing this i was shocked by the response and with the body language ( arms crossed) " well I can't give it to you, if it has expired" in a very rude manner, creating an awkward stand off from the lady staring at both of us in disgust. This was very upsetting and embarrassing. i was not expecting her to honour the tastecard and i was very much aware that i needed to pay full price for the meal. the company that i was with, asked the lady to give us a couple of minutes whilst we sort this out, she left the table with a terrible attitude. shocked at the experience we had, we were hesistant pay the full price and my company purchased another taste card on the spot. Upon paying, her approach was very dismissive and lax. Dining at Feng Sushi for a pre-theatre meal was a logical thing to do given it is amid the South bank complex. We love sushi, having just returned from Japan, and generally the food at Feng Sushi didn't disappoint - not the very finest but nicely done. Our issue is the place itself which is tired with uncomfortable seating. When we arrived there was one person serving/taking orders/running the till/ answering the phone. Eventually she was joined by two others but only after keeping several tables waiting for some while. Yes there were apologies but that doesn't help during a pre-theatre service. We had left good time but others hadn't and as the queues to enter grew diners were still awaiting their food as tables were not free.In all it was a poor dining experience which I feel sure does not do the brand justice but that is how it was on the day for us.

My daughter suggested this "place" for pre theatre sushi, I knew it was wrong for the moment we sat down outside, it was tatty n grubby, why did we stay, my daughter had eaten there once before.Ramen soup with chicken, should have been billed as "dishwater with stringy, undercooked chicken" with pok choi floating around, noodles been cooked for a week, needless to say I left it.Seaweed salad served straight from the freezer, X ray salad, was mediocre.Expensive

We found this place by accident whilst walking around and decided to give it a try but in hindsight to be honest I wish we had of just kept on walking by.We were shown to a table where you have to literally climb up to get onto the stools which was OK. We ordered drinks and decided on the 22 piece sushi box with two sides of Green salad, 1 vegetarian gyoza and a salmon gyoza. The food arrived quite quickly and the gyoza was not to bad really, quite tasty with a dipping sauce. The let down for me was the 22 piece sushi box. Now I have had sushi at many different places and you can tell straight away if a lot of care and effort has been put into making the dish and this dish clearly showed it had neither. It was a pretty feeble attempt at sushi to be honest. With some parts the taste was a lot better than the presentation but other parts were totally bland. The pickled ginger was just a dollop and the wasabi looked as though it had been squeezed out of a tube straight onto the plate. Just look at the photos to see what I mean...There are better places in London for sushi and I would recommend those, even Yo Sushi does better at presentation than this place. Bill for the three of us came to just over £51.The place was clean and the waiting were polite and friendly but that is the only good thing I could say about this place.

We were looking for something simple and light before we went to the theatre. Feng Sushi fitted the bill quite nicely. I'm no expert on Japanese cuisine but this seemed good, fish was fresh, rice was sticky. We treated the meal as a tapas style, so all had plenty of variety as we shared a range of dishes. Everyone was happy!Staff were pleasant and with a good Taste card discount on a Saturday night it was very well priced!

Went there last night with a friend for dinner and we were not impressed, foid took almost 40 min to arrive, sushi was warm alongside the warm dishes and rice was a bit overcooked, behing the seat a blue wall was chipped, and the bill wasnt cheap so there is no value in going to this impersonal restaurant that only seems to enjoy a top convenient location by the Royal Festival Hall.I feel sorry for one the lovely waitresses who was sweet. Not your fault the kitchen was so slow.

Attractive small dining area in a good bar with Thames views. The lunch menu was not extensive but good quality. The wine list was well put together and the front of house service was knowledgeable friendly and enthusiastic. I'd like to try dinner there and would recommend to friends.

Very disappointing eveningNo Draught beer so have to order more expensive Cans (we don't sell that here- then take it off the menu), Waitress does not know what's ingredients are. Mains arrived before starter - one person didn't get their food until there where reminded - Told it was busy - there where still seat empty so not really that busy - Manager apologised and gave discount - But to be honest the food wasn't the best either so overall experience rather sad.

Having arrived early for a concert at the Royal Festival Hall, we were looking for somewhere to eat. Feng Sushi was surprisingly quiet. The staff were attentive without being intrusive and the food was freshly cooked and hot. The squid dish was the family favourite. What was also surprising was the price which was very good value.Overall, a very pleasant and good value meal.

Came here for dinner and was disappointed at the lack of authenticity that I would expect from a usual Japanese restaurant. Prawn gyozas were deep fried and not pan fried and they were hard and dry. The tempura salmon roll was maki sushi coated in tempura batter and deep fried which was weird. If I knew what this was on the menu, I wouldn't have ordered it. It also was paired with a sweet chilli sauce which was weird again. Sweet potato fries were nice and chicken katsu curry was good and great there is the option of brown rice however I wouldn't go back there again as it was just not up to par.

The royal Clarendon hotel is situated on the river, which is lovely. It is a small and friendly hotel which I would recommend to my friends. The food was good value for money and perfectly fine. I can only comment on my menu choice, but my friend very much enjoyed her meal too. The staff do their best to accommodate all requirements of the customer in a down to earth friendly manner. Overall experience very good.

We dined here as a couple on a Friday night (was about half full as was quite early in evening). Right from the start, the waitress who served us didn't smile and made us feel as if we weren't wanted there. I have given this review 2 stars however, as the food was very good and the restaurant has nice decor/was clean etc.

I use the Feng Sushi for takeaway from Billingsgate quite often, their sushi and sashimi is excellent although their hot food is not great. We went to the Southbank branch expecting the same quality. However, the service was awful, they didn't have our booking so we waited whilst they cleared a small area of a long table. We were then seated next to the remnants of somebody elses meal for about an hour. The food: gyoza was pretty good but the sushi and sashimi was terrible, tasteless and not particularly fresh. The disappointment continued with a soft shell crab roll which was lacking any crisp and was decidedly limp. We then had to ask three times in order to get the bill.

Came alone here when in London on business as I love the Feng Sushi in Chelsea. Unlike the Chelsea one, this has a wider menu which includes non-fish items such as chicken and so on. I had the salmon and avocado hand roll, the rock shrimp tempura (a MUST if in any Feng Suhsi), the spicy tuna inside out rolls and a miso soup. This restaurant takes tastecard which makes it an even better deal. The service was very fast in this outlet, the restaurant clean and tidy and food was excellent. Can't recommend Feng Sushi highly enough.

We were in a rush for the theatre on a Saturday night everywhere else nearby was rammed full with halfhour waits. This place was empty and though it had a lot of poor recent trip advisor reviews, needs must. Given my low expectations it wasn't as bad as I thought it might be. The waiter had several good attempts at throwing food on us but the food wasn't bad and it was nicely presented.

I was disappointed because we sat in the bar and not the restaurant. It was my mum and dad's 60th wedding anniversary. I had heard good comments from friends about the restaurant food. We were the only people eating so there was no atmosphere and we were with workmen having drinks after work. Although the food was nice, we could have gone anywhere for the same food, and had a much better ambience. We were told the day before that we would be sitting in the bar for our meal, if I could have made other arrangements I would definitely have changed my mind.

I sat in the bar to eat which is well presented and very clean. Although it was quiet there was a nice atmosphere with a very friendly team on. I was informed they have a new chef whose just started so I can't see it staying quiet for much longer. Food was excellent, well presented and perfectly cooked. The chef came out after my meal to ask for my feedback which was nice. He explained the dishes he's looking to put on a new a La Carte menu launching soon. Sounded delightful, will deffinatly be back.

We had both had a long day at work and were wandering South Bank looking for a late night meal and this offered a great selection of sushi and tempura. Abbiamo fatto una tappa in questo ristorante una sera, e devo dire che l'ambiente è carino e accogliente, il personale è gentile e il sushi è "normale"..niente di diverso da un ristorante cinese/giapponese basico. A friend and I visited Feng Sushi on the first truly sunny day of London spring. South bank was abuzz, and there was a queue for Feng Sushi at 7pm. Fortunately I had a booking.A minor flaw: they were a little understaffed, with one (pretty efficient) hostess/waitress scampering around trying to seat people, clear tables, take orders and deliver food at the same time. To her credit, however, we were seated withing about 5 minutes, as was the queue of people building at the door. After that the service was a little slow, but really nothing to moan about. She was friendly and helpful, and if you're desperate for something, you can amble up to the front and request it.The food: we had Tuna sashimi, softshell crab rolls, salmon and avocado rolls, chicken gyoza, and yellowtail ngiri. and salmon skin rolls. All were pretty delicious (especially the softshell crab and salmon skin rolls... and if I were to critique I would say the tuna sashimi is nice, but not the best I've had). I would agree with the reviews that say the portions are a little smaller (when compared to say, Yo Sushi), so if I were paying full price I would possibly query the value...But I wasn't, and for the load of sushi and a couple of beers, the total came to about £16 each, which I consider a bargain for the location and food.

Family outing in London and decided to visit Feng Sushi on the South Bank. The sushi was fine but any hot dishes are heated in a microwave. Our Katsu Curries (sauce) were mildly warm to begin with and we quite rightly complained. Dealt with fine by the waitress but when brought back to us they were the same dishes. A microwave had been used to re-heat them and whilst the sauce was hot the rice and accompanying chicken and vegetables were nuclear hot. I did explain to the waitress but she stated all the food is just heated up in a microwave and they have no ability to 'cook' conventionally - very poor for the prices they charge.

We enjoyed a wide range of sushi. Some dishes, like dragon rolls, were better than others. Everything just lacked a bit of flavour and we have had better sushi at other establishments. Service is added to the bill automatically and this seemed to prevent staff from providing great service. Overall, a bit of a lack lustre experience.

This is a very functional place, in terms of decor, food and service. Inside the decor, a little rough around the edges, serves its purpose; bare concrete floors, tables, chairs, a decorative aquarium here, some patterning there. No cosy touches here. Yet it doesn't feel over crowded like so many London restaurants. Neither is it annoyingly (read hipster) industrial chic. The food is not bad, above average. Ramen consists of not an excessive amount of noodles, four pieces of tofu, some tiny shreds of what could be vegetables and that's your lot. Accompanying tempura and gyoza achieve a balance between oily and dry, and the food overall between being flavourless and overbearing. Holding it all together is the efficient and friendly wait staff lead by a German-sounding manager lady. Ahah!Overall dependable but nothing to write home about.

Robo baja y mala comida. Un fantástico entorno.
