Avoid the hot meals, they are clearly sitting there from days. Purchased a katsu curry rice where the katsu was harder than stone, which means it has been reheated (from yesterday more times or has been sitting there for days.

Bought chicken katsu, totally inedible. Chicken too hard to actually cut with a knife. At work so had no time to return it or buy anything else to eat.

Boxes are loose!!! My clothes eats my dinner instead of me enjoying the green curry! If you don’t have spare change of clothes don’t buy from there

Visited Wasabi for a quick lunch today. There are a variety of quick takeaways- both veg and non-veg. Its a self-help for food selection- and when you bill your food- the tiller quickly warms/prepares it for you. Its always extra hot- so good to find yourself a seating place. The staff were efficient considering the lunch hours- and very pleasant. Very nominally priced for a hearty hot meal. Loads of veggie options. Would visit again. :)

Excellent restaurant , love the Chicken Teriyaki and always pop in when Im in London , I live near Bracknell so is a long way to go for food so you know its good.

I don't know where to express my dissatisfaction, the delivery service should be reviewed, I was totally disappointed, you look forward to your favorite dishes, then you see a total disappointment on the plate. I will never order again. wasted money

Excellent service and the food is so fresh!

Wasabi is everywhere these days, and the good thing is that they seem to have the same consistent quality in all their branches. It is fast food Japanese, so it's definitely not the best sushi or Japanese food at all, but it's of ok standard for the price. In some of their branches, they offer 50% off in their last 30 minutes before closing, which makes it excellent value, although I don't believe they do that in the Canary Wharf branch.

Very convenient but also very busy at lunch. The sushi was decent for the price but the sushi with just the pepper was a bit strange.

Very average sushi place for a quick lunch. Prices are reasonable compared to other places for sushi on balance with the quality. Just slightly above supermarket quality. Portion size is ok for the price. Just don't expect to be amazed.

The food was good, Wasabi is tried and tasted. But absolutely disappointed with the level of service that I received today. I simply asked the person at the till if they participated with the discount scheme for the car park. Canary Wharf's website clearly states to ask this at the shops to get 3 hrs of free car park. She looked at me like I asked something really weird and was simply hesitant to tell me the answer, as if I was asking to give her the discount to me for free. FYI, I know there is a minimum spend of £10 before I get the discount, I can also read and write, thanks. I just wanted to make sure of it before I spent any money. Thank for nothing, if you want to act entitled you should probably work somewhere else.

This branch is takeaway only but is popular with the Canary wharf crowds. Hot food is tasty as usual, but as it is now pre-portioned, it's not great at the end of the day to be honest as it can sit for hours.

First time trying sushi from Wasabi and i must say, it did not disappoint at all! I tried the mixed maki set, salmon teriyaki onigiri and the chocolate ganache flavoured little moons. The salmon teriyaki onigiri was the highlight from there, i will be buying more for sure. A side note to mention is that the staff were very friendly and the store was well kept.

Used to be £5 for a filling sized lunch. It's now £7.50 for half the amount of food it used to be. Greggs next door has a much higher value for money lunch offer which includes hot chicken gujons, potato wedges and a bottle of drink for £5.70 almost £2 cheaper than a less filling Wasabi. Lost my and many others in Canary Wharf's entire business over a greedy price hike.

I often go to Wasabi and it is always very good. But today I am pretty unhappy. I bought my katsu curey box and came back home. I discovered a long black hair in the box. I am really annoyed hence me taking the time to come here to put a 3 stars review so they pay a bit more attention to cleanliness next time. Otherwise, I would have put a 4 or 5 stars

It's been a long time since I had a Sweet Chilli Chicken and Rice. It was okay, but I thought the Rice was bit stodgy and the fact everything is pre-packed and sitting on a heated display now (rather than the old, Pre-Covid way, where they served it 'fresh') means it is only tepid in temp and the Sauce is a bit dried up .. ☹️

They have amazing selection of bento box and sushi 🍣 at an affordable prices 😀

I have always been a loyal customer, even when you increased prices 3 times in a year, and made the portion sizes smaller, but you are now just exploiting your customers , I’ve just called into your Birmingham train station restaurant you you have finally lost the plot with your pricing, it’s just pure greed on your part, well done in loosing my custom, I won’t be back, I give you another year before you hopefully go bust purely because of your own greed.

This Wasabi is a takeaway store and they have very fresh and delicious sushi and hot food. It has long queues during weekdays lunch time but the waiting time is still relatively okay.

You'll never find cheaper sushi that won't immediately make you sick. Was very surprised at the quality, especially after reading other reviews. No it's not the same quality as a sushi restaurant, but you're also paying almost 1/3 the price

Really like this place, went here a few times when visiting the London office and the sushi (whilst not top ranked sushi) is nice, fresh and lots of choice. Don’t let the queues out you off as they have plenty of cashiers open and the queues move quickly. In conclusion, it’s nice sushi for a reasonable price

I've loved the Vegan Tofu Curry since i found it a few years back, today I tried the Yakisoba version - steer clear is my advice... The noodles are cut up like kids heinze spaghetti and cooked to the point that they couldn't be any softer and slimier - disgusting! You have been warned!

This placed used to be operated by Japanese people, the food was made fresh, you can see people making the food in the background. It's now replaced with Pakistanis/Indians, the foods appear to be left packaged on the shelves in smaller portions, no longer fresh, taste like it's been there frozen for weeks. You can also no longer see a kitchen in the background, you can't see staff cooking food. I used to love this place, will no longer go. I'd call this a Japanese restaurant take-away previously, now it's just a take-away.

Limited selection of sushi. Hot food small portions. Edamame and avocado were turning brown. A bit disappointing.

I love their food, but have stopped buying from this chain as their hot food portion sizes of late are ridiculous. Some time towards the end of last year, they changed their boxes, and put their prices up. At the same time, they introduced a "Go Large" option. However, the "Go Large" is basically the original portion size. The standard portion is now not even a full ladle full - this is not only underhand, but greedy of the chain. Shame on Wasabi.

Since I last visited the layout has changed so the hot food is now packaged in advance and put out onto a counter for customers to help themselves. Unfortunately there were no Chicken Katsu currys available when I arrived this lunchtime and I had to wait what seemed like forever for more to be made, and when it eventually came it was in an enormous box full of plastic compartments to keep the rice, sauce and chicken separate, which is really wasteful. The old system was a bit chaotic at lunchtimes but at least the food was hot, freshly prepared and with much less packaging, and although there were long queues they moved quickly and you had a good idea how long you'd have to wait. The new system with long waits and excessive packaging has really put me off to be honest.

After revamp the restaurant has changed completely from a get served at the counter and if there is not what you want they will take you how long it will take to get what it is on the shelf. The food is now cooked, put is a box which contains a little plastic container to separate the main from the noodles or rice with a large amount of "salad" and then chucked in a shelf until someone picks it up. My last experience was a tiny sweet chili chicken with a ver small portion of noodles. The noodles were cold and the chicken was not enough and the salad was tasteless and pointless, but it makes the box look full. The new set up has literally made the experience awful and without human interaction, the time spend by the customer the same and the quality of food is from good to bad.

Thought I’d try the revamped site. Awful. You can only get limited hot food now and I can’t get my combo which I loved as it’s all self serve. They have added in packaging to EVERY box in a PLASTIC insert. Madness! Also the portions were a lot smaller for the same old price. Ripoff! All in all I won’t be going back and I went quite often. Good job Wasabi!o

Despite being a regular customer prior to the Wasabi refurbishment where hot counter served 'Hot' food, I am disappointed that their new premises has failed to maintain previous standards. Their food luke warm at best is over cooked and no longer warrants their premium prices. What a shame!

Before the new layout there was always an abundance of food ready to be served as you order. Yes there were queues but they moved quickly. Now hot food is pre prepared and placed on shelves. Since it’s re-opening it is never fully stocked especially with Vegan items. When I asked at the till you cannot even order just hope what you want turns up. When I did get what I wanted was disappointed to discover portion sizes are smaller despite the higher prices. The packaging also appears to have more plastic now as well

Last year they replaced their bigger takeaway box with one about 3 quarters the size and the price remained the same. As if this wasn’t bad enough, the newly refurbished pristine shop in Canary Wharf now only half fills this smaller box. Come on Wasabi get your act together and bring back the value for money isp of your product.

２５年前にハロッズの寿司コーナーで寿司の様な物を買ってとても後悔した経験があり、今回はダメもとでサーモンの握り寿司を買い、スタンドで食べたらおいしかった。お米とその炊き方、すし酢の味、多分スコティッシュサーモンでしょうかそのサーモンのおいしさ。ただし、しょうゆは有料でした。この味ならばと中華の様などんぶりがを購入し、ホテルの戻って食べましたが、これはイライラするほどの辛さでした。お店に経営者はと尋ねたら韓国系と答えてくれました。寿司だけにすればよかったと後悔です。でも、サーモンはおいしかった。

Very tasty food and generous portions, however quite expensive in my opinion. Lots of choice, and variety of sushi available. Mainly a take-away service

La comida es muy fresca. Excelente calidad demostrada por las largas colas a todas horas del día. Precios muy razonables, especialmente teniendo en cuenta la zona. Es una pena que el menú no cambia. Disgusting!!! You queue for a long time, buy your chicken teriyaki, go all the way back to your office and when you eat it, it tastes like BURNT!!! Like when you burn the bottom of the pot but still use the food that don't look burnt, but obbiously tastes like it! This is a total lack of respect, together with the little man bh the queue calling all males in the queue 'Sir' and all the females 'darling'. No ones offers you a receipt and they don't give you your money back if you don't have one. I threw everything away and went to my office cantine.

The service was very quick and the food is amazing, good portions. Very good value for money as well.

Jedes mal in London gehen wir zu Wasabi und holen uns Essen. Es ist für uns schon ein muss bei Wasabi Gerichte zu holen und den Bauch so richtig schön voll zu schlagen. Das Essen ist sehr lecker und reichhaltig. Das Personal ist sehr, sehr nett. Wir werden Wasabi beim nächsten mal wieder gern besuchen. Das ist ein versprechen !! ;-)))

Nunca entenderemos los enormes colas este lugar da? El sushi es bueno (Itsu es mucho mejor), y la comida caliente es sencillamente asqueroso! Estoy seguro de que este lugar está a sólo popular como alternativa hay pocas opciones calientes para llevar comida en Canary Wharf y porciones grandes.

He probado el tofu al curry una vez aquí y una vez cerca de la calle San Pablo. Los precios no valen la calidad de la comida - 6 libras por tofu al curry. . . Yo sushi. es mucho mejor. El katsu curry es 5 tofus libras y mucho mejor y parte de igualdad.

¿Ha notado la cantidad de arroz y curry de bajar? Antes solía ser un desafío para terminar un gran tambor de arroz y curry, que sin duda eran totalmente lleno. Dieron una noche caliente bento para llevar después del trabajo de la Rama Cabot. Terminó con calambres estomacales y diarrea y un día muy desagradable en el trabajo al día siguiente. Me sorprendió ya que me dan a menudo para llevar la noche de la sucursal de Liverpool Street, desde la que nunca he tenido un problema.

Una muy mala elección de sushi estaba disponible, pero de todos modos. £15 libras de sushi de todos modos, comprado y ni siquiera está dispuesto a incluir una sola bolsita de salsa de soja, wasabi, o jengibre. Bastante patética.

One of the regular takeaway lunch destinations for me. The hot lunch boxes are good quality and very filling. Quality of Sushi and bento boxes is also good at reasonable prices. The lunch queues can be very long but move quickly.

Finding good value food outlets in places like Canary Wharf isn't easy, but to my surprise this is what Wasabi provides. I didn't try the sushi, but can certainly recommend the hot food counter, where portions are unexpectedly large for around £6 each.

The length of queue is the strongest indicator of the value for money that Wasabi offers. Good food. Honestly priced.

This is a good place for a walk thru grab and go lunch. Cooked fresh and due to its popularity the food is hot and not sitting for long. Soba noodles are very good. Portions are plenty for 2 people to share. Clean place takes most major CCs

This Wasabi is really well set up, fast and efficient. I tend to come here for lunch, once or twice a week. Fast service, if you're having Sushi, the hot dishes take a little longer, but are still good. The selection of Sushi is great, you can choose from pre-prepared sets or select from individualy wrapped pieces. Prices are standard for London, you'll be looking at about £10 for lunch and a drink.

Japanese place, which gets super busy with really long queues during the lunch hours. Lot of sushi options available, though the long queue is pretty much always for the hot food counter, which serve the curry, yakisoba etc. The quantity they provide, is huge, but food taste is average. You can feel it in your tummy until quite late in the day. Chicken pieces are hard and bit rubbery. Good option to try, when you are looking for a change.

I had the chicken curry cutsu don. The rice was slightly mushy, but doable. The chicken was slightly hard and wasn't very tender and the outsides wasn't crispy enough. (since it was a katsu, i expected it to be crunchier on the outside). The curry was decent. I also added a tempura prawn to my dish. The prawn tasted good, although, it was no where close to tempura.

I've been visiting here for about 4 years, maybe twice a month. The Katsu Curry is the best I've ever had and all the sushi choices are top class. It's crazy busy but the queue moves fast and the staff are pleasant and efficient.

Good (large) size portions of good hearty food. Queues can be large but the production line method of delivery will have you food in hand in no time.

The chicken wasabi was great. There were several chicken options and all seemed good. The serving was for 1-2 persons.

Bought a sweet and sour with noodles takeaway and it was one of the tastiest dishes I've ever had. Can highly recommend.

In an affluent work district of London it's often fairly difficult get lunch for a sensible price and I'd recommend Wasabi as good value for money.

Do not be put off by the long winding queue that is always there during lunch hours. No matter how deep this gets, it moves quick enough so that you are placing your order for hot bentos is 5-7 minutes. The service is friendly and charming. Considering the time pressure they are under to keep the flow, it is very impressive. The food portions are generous (in fact, it has reduced a bit in the last few months, but still heavy), and reasonable price. If you are wondering what you have for lunch, get a box and you won't be disappointed. Just make sure you open the cover away from you (don't get sauce on your shirt!) and have the napkins ready.

The hot food queue is usually quite long especially during lunch time on weekdays but the service is good and the food is tasty. The price isn't too bad when compared to other lunch option available in the area.

I come here sometimes for lunch. There is usually a long long queue at lunchtime. I quite liked the Rainbow Sushi set and the hot noodles is quite good. The chicken katsu is a bit like cardboard though. The sushis look quite roughly made, but the taste is okay. Good for a quick lunch or snack.

The chicken katsu salad box is a regular take away lunch for me, good value, tasty and filling. There can be a large queue for the hot food counter at lunchtime but there are separate tills for the chilled section and you can be served and on your way in half the time of the other queue

Perfect for on the go. I love the choice of food available here and the teriyaki chicken is a personal favourite, I first tried wasabi here in Canary Wharf and was absolutely delighted to find a branch in Manchester quite recently so I can enjoy more often !

I used to be a regular customer of Wasabi but after January I almost stopped my daily visits to the shop -the significant reduction in queues since then demonstrates that many people have shared my views-. +20/30% pricing increases for the same amount of food resulted a bit unbearable for me. Miso soup increases were unbelievable: from 1 to 1.69 pounds. Funny enough, prices in other wasabis in town remained unchanged (see Chicken Katsu Curry available for 5.45 instead of 6.29 pounds in CW).

This was my favourite place for lunch in Canary Wharf, you could eat a nicely sized, tasty lunch for £5. The new menu sees a price increase of between 20%-35% on the various dishes. It is the same great food, and the staff at this location do a great job dealing with (what was) a daily queue that seemingly stretched for miles.What a great way to say thank you to the long lines of people who have been giving Wasabi a steady business here for years.I guess I will move along in my quest for the £5 lunch.

This Wasabi has increased their prices. I usually buy tofu noodle. Previously they used to fill the container to the top. Now a regular portion is 3/4 full. If you want the same container filled to the top, its £1.50 to go large. You would think that they would use a bigger size containers for large. It's quite confusing for the customer. I won't be visiting as often.

Horrified to see that Wasabi has increased the price of its Miso soup by a whopping 39% (essentially miso powder with 4 cubes of tofu in it and 3 small pieces of seaweed) to £1.65 a small cup.I understand the price increase is across all productsWhat a shame as till now was a great place to visit for sushiWhat a rip off!

I had the rainbow sushi box which was beautifully presented and very fresh. My husband had an enormous box of rice with half chilli chicken, half teriyaki chicken. There was really more than we could eat and for Canary Wharf, the price was very good. The only downside is that, unlike many of the outlets in that part of Canary Wharf, there aren't any tables so we had to take the food outside, which isn't so much fun when there is a cold wind blowing.
