A really lovely restaurant with a great atmosphere and extremely friendly team working there. Our server Hollie recommended the mozzarella garlic bread and the chicken burger which was amazing! She made me and my party feel very welcomed and we will definitely be returning, and I will also recommend to my local friends!

This place tries to be a kind of a pizza place but it really doesn't have any pizzas that are worth ordering - the topping combinations are strange. Average tasting food - would only come here if there is no other place to go.

The waitress cleared a table especially for us as we liked the one in the corner (it was no problem for her and she didn't mind that there were other free table we could have sat at). the service was fantastic friendly and helpful from start to finish. My friend needed some dietary changes in the food and they were only too happy to accommodate. They even changed my wine free of charge after I had drank some and found it too sweet. The menu was great and something to suit everyone. Some fantastic and delicious healthy options too (quinoa, avocado broccoli etc) for those on their January healthy eating! I had the spaghetti with tiger prawns and chilli and it was yum. We really enjoyed our night and found it great there. We will be visiting again!

This is franchise that has wooden plates that have seen better days and the usual food of burgers and chicken which must come frozen and is then thawed or micro- waved or heated to dryness on a grill. Not the best dining experience in the area...try Bella Naples over the road for better food .

I was staying in London and walking through Canary Wharf and found this restaurant. I have recently started Slimming World and found the perfect dish! I ate the pasta with garlic and chilli with spinach and courgette. The lady who took my order said i should have it made with a tomato sauce which i did and i asked them to throw in prawns too. It was a large portion and tasted wonderful. Served with a good sparkling water and great coffee. The team were friendly, helpful and attentive. As a female dining alone i felt really comfortable and really well priced. The menu has a great range and other diners included a mixed party and a group of guys plus some couples and some people seemed to just stop in for a drink. I will go back when in the area.

We love prawn raisukuree, prawn firecracker, chilli ramen(chicken) - its amazing if u r recovering from cold or smthg, its comes boiling hot.The breadcrumb chicken(its fried :)) which comes as part of katsu curry is so tasty.Unforgettable. We just get it without the katsu curry as appetizer. The prawn lollipop is good if its nice and warm. The cha han is very filling and plesant break if u get bored from the above dishes.

First time I visited Wagamama but was disappointed with the service. We were a party of three who ordered at the same time but food arrived at different times with mine arriving 15 minutes after my first friend was served. A party of four men who were seated after us all got their food at the same time and before me. I was not impressed! I ordered a chilli prawn men which, when it arrived was delicious and was a good sized portion. I didn't think it was too expensive for Canary Wharf but the slow service spoiled the experience for me.

We ordered chicken dumplings, which arrived nearly cold and looked like they had been reheated several times. As main courses we ordered teriyaki with chicken and chicken Rama both were only average with the hockey meat old and stale and it all tasted like chicken, rice and noodles mixed with soya sauce. A half hearted attempt to coon real Asian food...go somewhere else if you want to eat good food. Only plus point is the service which was good and fast. The wasabi also in canary wharf is better value for money (chicken katsu curry).

We were off to the O2 for the ATP finals. The last time we were in the O2 the queues for food were really long so we decided to eat before heading to the stadium. We had seen Wagamama in the Canary Wharf centre coming from the tube earlier. It was 6pm and not very busy. We were quickly seated and our waiter was along quickly. I had a tofu salad with rice. My wife spotted a new chilli dish and opted for that while my son went for his favoured chicken chilli mem. The food arrived quickly which suited us and we tucked in. I loved the salad. I'd asked for the dressing on the side and in fact never used it. It was great without it. Our waiter had delayed ordering my rice so it came during my meal rather than way in advance, a thoughtful touch. He also kept a good eye on us and made sure all was well. Top marks to him, I think his name war Ian. We had a nice meal, paid and headed off for a fantastic three set with a tie break finish thanks to Roger and Stan.

Service was disjointed and whilst I know the food comes when ready I did not think this would apply to my two children whose food came almost 10 minutes apart. So, whenever I feel like some really good food at a good price it has to be Wagamama! Of course, it's a chain so I know what to expect. I always have the same thing as I'm not very adventurous. I have the Yasai Katsu curry; my boyfriend has the Chicken Katsu curry. We both share the duck gyoza and both have Sprites. Clearly we're creatures of habit. Anyway, as usual the food was really good. Always comes quickly and freshly made which is really nice. I've never reviewed Wagamama before but I felt this visit was worthy of a review because while we were waiting a waitress came over and offered us a taster of a new dumpling thats available. I can't remember what it's called but it's a bit like the duck gyoza but it has prawns in it. These were really nice! Also, as it was Valentines Day we got the white chocolate and ginger cheesecake to share. This was so totally worth it and we will definitely be getting this everytime we visit! All in all the food was really good, the service was really good and everything, as usual was really good! There really is nothing to fault with Wagamama, especially Canary Wharf which is our favourite!

Well, if you have been to Wagamama before then take note this is a competent example of the franchise with no nasty surprises and stop reading. If you haven't been then you are missing out on a treat - an inexpensive but decent eastern menu, well staffed despite the seeming chaos that this quick service model appears to be. The staff are always friendly and a little quirky. Everyone seems to find something they like here. Everyone sits on long benches. It's a fairly big Wagamama and gets really busy on Friday lunchtimes, the queues stretch down the staircase, so I go outside of this time. They do tend to have this annoying habit of bringing meals to the table of groups several minutes apart, two people diving can be served their main meal up to five minutes apart from each other. Main courses cost just over a tenner. As I have said before, the menu and quality of food is decent and I have never known it to disappoint.

I genuinely love Wagamama as a chain. I like the model, and the food. The prices are great, the staff are normally really polite and efficient. Normally. But this venue is just truly awful. It is in the middle of a shopping centre, under a load of offices, and as such is utterly charmless. It has become a factory style table churn machine. There are rules about which door to use so as to not interrupt the queues for takeaways/tables. The staff are surly, fast, rude. There is no politeness or niceties; you are expected to know the menu, order, wolf down your food and leave as quickly as possible. You are cramped up against people which in some Wagamamas is fun and quirky; here it is just rude and intrusive. The place is loud, so much so one cannot hold a conversation without shouting over the cityboy idiots around bragging about some deal or another. Canary Wharf is full of good restaurants that are efficient but pleasant. This is not one of them. I would still frequent Wagamama, but avoid this location like the plague.

Wagamama is one of our favorite chain restaurants in London. There are many branches within London, and we're always happy to see one. The food is tasty, well-prepared and reasonably priced. The branch located within the large Canary Wharf shopping center is typical - brusk but friendly service, and the menu containing nice versions of a range of Asian foods. The hot green tea is free. The food comes when it comes - don't expect all the dishes at once. They bring them when they're done. You might also end of sitting at a long table with other people, although there's always an effort made to space people out. There's also some individual seating. If you like your food really spicey hot, there's an interesting spicy oil and other spices provided at the table. I like the noodle dishes the best, and the soups are quite good.

This is actually a review of the restaurant by the O2 where we went before a gig so not sure if that's the Canary Wharf one or not? No reservations accepted but only had to wait about 15 minutes for a table. Service was friendly and fairly slick but I don't like the way all your food comes at once or when they decide how and when to bring it, eg. even though the starters are set out separately on the menu our starters arrived at the same time as our mains which would seem to defeat the object. Food was decent enough and we all had the chicken katsu curry and the portion sizes are generous. Given its location the atmosphere was lively and tables were churned quickly as you might expect. Reasonable value for money. To be fair it's better than 'Average' but I couldn't mark it as 'Very Good' so somewhere inbetween I'd say.

We've heard people rave about Wagamama's, so we decided to finally try it out. Maybe our expectations were too high, but I didn't really know what to expect, so probably not. We found the food to be nice, but nothing special. The atmosphere is that of a chain - find something that works and repeat - no character at all. The service was speedy but waiters clearly had other things to do and you didn't really feel cared for. Prices were a bit high for the food received. So okay, but not sure what the fuss is about.

I go to a few Wagamama restaurants in London, but this one is by far one of my favourites. It's in a great location, in Jubilee Place in the heart of London's financial district, it's wide and roomy too and the staff are always friendly and attentive. Food orders are taken in a short amount of time, and food arrives shortly after. Its atmosphere around Docklands always adds to the vibrancy of the place. It's not crazy busy during the lunch hours of 12pm – 2pm and I have visited here on a weekend after 6pm and it's not too busy either, you can always get a table. This branch I go to if I visit friends who work in the area or even meet up for coffee with friends too - even if they don’t live or work in the area. I couldn't eat it all and that's not something that happens very often...I'm looking forward to going back when I have more time for a more leisurely dining experience. In the meantime, Wagamama will definitely be the first place I'll think of if I'm out for lunch in Canary Wharf and don't have a lot of time.

Having eaten in Wagamama’s a few times now, I feel that I need to write a short review. Once getting used to being seated as if you are having school dinners, and your order being written on your paper place mat, the dining experiences I have had were indeed very good. Everything is cooked fresh, which also means that everyone’s food comes out at different times, but there is never a long wait until all dishes are prepared. The fresh fruit juices are amazing, can be a bit pricey but really delicious.I will be a regular patron. My preference when in Canary Wharf. All in all a lovely dining experience.

This branch of the well-known Wagamama chain is always jam-packed during the lunch hours with busy business people from the London's financial hub. However, the popularity of the venue was not justified given the quality of the food that I had. The duck gyoza (fried dumplings) was deeply deeply fried and was utter tasteless. The main dish, firecracker prawns, was not very spicy but very salty instead. The service was just as in a hurry as the customers themselves, but the prices were quite reasonable for this glittering part of London. Mediocre at best.

Good food, good service, good value. Consistently. Can get quite busy. Can't beat "good old" Katsu Curry. I also recommend prawns with chilli sauce as a starter and medium-rare beef skewer with rice as a main.

I see the last reviewer had the same problem - I suspect this branch has a problem. We went today (27.12.12) at 2pm and it wasn't that busy yet a Yaki Soba came up cold which they replaced with yet another cold one on the outside. A surly manageress asked us what was wrong with the first one when she knew full well why it was sent back and if she had touched it she could see it was stone cold. Not sure many staff have a good command of English at this branch. We go to Waga a lot and have done so since they started but they are definatley losiung the plot - the menu is becoming far too crowded and whereas they used to do a few dishes well now they have spolit it by cramming too much on. Don't forget they were bought for a lot of money by a private equity group in April 2011 and they are going for maximum profits to get back the huge price they overpaid and I suspect they will ruin the business in the not too distant future.

Great place to visit if you are shopping or after work - gets very busy when the offices empty. You may end up on a table on your own or on a shared, long table. Good food which is also very good value - the drinks less so. We didn't feel at all rushed - the staff seem to guage well if you want to do a quick visit or sit aroundf chatting. Will definitely go back.

There's eating in your 'standard' restaurant, and there's Wagamamas: noisy and frenetic, with dishes arriving individually as soon as they're ready. You fit in with the process, and the process is unrelenting. That said, the food is fine and the staff are pleasant, knowledgeable and helpful. Go there for the buzz, speed of service, pleasant food and some great flavours. Do go if it's a relaxed romantic meal you're after.

I have been to a few different Wagamama restaurants and the food is consistently good. I just wish those wooden benches would be more comfortable :-)

Good food but lunchtime is very busy and the eating experience is not fantastic. Staff are pleasant enough but they spend a lot of time running around..... The system doesn't seem very efficient and it could be that if you order a range of food it won't arrive together. Japanese food but not Japanese efficiency! Very noisy when busy.

The food is always to a high standard here, and the ambience is pretty good (the location is hugely convenient). I'd say the service ranges from ok to disinterested but the recent menu upgrades impressed!

I am a regular especially the one in Canary Wharf. Love the fusion food here, the Katsu curry being my all time favourite. My 3 year old loves it as well - not just for its great kid menu, but also the activities provided for her. It's definitely a kid friendly place! The service is also fantastic - always with a smile and very efficient! The only reason I have rated average on value is because in the last few years the portions have been reducing and the prices have been going up! But this will remain one of my favourite places to grab a quick meal!

Excellent service waiter was attentive without being overbearing very happy in his work. The three prawn starter was excellent as we're my noodles only gave three stars as salmon was dry. Happily provided tap water although we had also ordered soft drinks but even if we hadn't doubt it would have been a problem.

We ate here at 6,30pm when the restaurant was already busy and it got progressively more busy. But the staff seemed to cope well. We asked for a seat suitable for our disabled son (you are seated at long tables with bench seating - our son needed a back, so he didn't fall over). We were placed against a wall in an area away from the hussle and bustle, which was perfect. The food was very good (loved the chicken curry). But our son's food did not arrive. The very attentive waiter noticed this and went to investigate. The order had not gone through. The problem was rectified very efficiently and the food was deducted from the bill. These things happen, especially at busy times. It would not put us off returning. Also seems a great place to go with friends, colleagues, family...anyone!

I'd never heard of this place until we went. Turns out they are all over the country. Eat as much or as little as you want. I know that's what you expect anyway but it just seems a relevant statement to make about this place. Apparently the ribs are new to the menu. I like them so much I had 2 lots. The rest had meals I went for a sellection of smaller items. I will be looking for one locally as I really enjoyed it.

Called here whith daughter and partner while visiting London for business. Food was very good. Service a bit different where the food is brought when it is ready not all at once. Food was very good. Drinks expensive £6.75 for a large tiger beer but I suppose it is in a restaurant. Staff good and explained dished where we were unsure. Good for allergies - they have a book with all issues in regarding every dish. Overall I would go back which is more than I can say for some outlets around canary wharf.

I visited wagamamas for a meal with a friend whilst working in Canary Wharf. The food was great quality and the restaurant was clean and welcoming. The only annoying thing was that the friendly staff were a little too attentive - As soon as we finished a drink or a course the plate or glass was collected, almost literally as soon as it was put down. However as the staff were friendly about it we just found this funny.. Would certainly return next time.

ok, my kids heard a lot of hype around this place so we finally went on our last evening. The place is very clean and spacious and the staff was courteous. We ordered 4 different noodles, along with 3 side dishes and drinks. The bill came to over 60 pounds, and when converted to US dollars, we just spend over $100 bucks on noodles, ... can I just say that hurt? Food was so-so.

We went here about a week ago. We loved it !!! especially the great noodle soups. The restuarant is a japenese restuarant , similar to chinese. I had chicken noodle sup wich was great!, noodles mixed with grilled chicken and chili oil. has a mix of leaves aswell in the soup. For starter ( it should be first) i had japenese pork dumplins with soy source. They serve the food together , thats the way i like it especially when i was so hungry!!!!great food. Big Quantity- Great Quality

Congelados sashimi, sushi en peces de alta cálida bajo en arroz, fideos, berenjena y grasienta porciones pequeñas. Y se olvidaron edamame. En general bastante desanimarlos de nuestra noche.

Some unusual cakes. It looks quite appetizing, so we decided to try it. We took one of each: Azuki bean, Vanilla custard and Matcha custard. The only one we really liked was the one with vanilla. The one with beans was a bit strange, the one with matcha, neutral. You can pay by card.

Big fan of Sticks'n'Sushi generally, although my last visit to a different branch had slightly underwhelmed. However, this was 5* - great, quick and friendly service to complement excellent food. The Ebi bites, Chicken kaarage and Brocolli are all top notch starters. In terms of sushi, you can't really go wrong with any - the NY Subway kaburimaki is my personal favourite. About £50pp will definitely fill you up. Already looking forward to my next visit!
