Wagamama in Tower Hamlets

Awesome pork ramen! We were a party of seven and everyone was happy with what they ordered. Service was a little off but the place was really busy. We ordered a bit of everything. Not one complaint about the food from anyone. Will definitely go back here on my next trip.

Exceptional Ramen. I have already tried a few places after having visited this one in June 2023 and confessing that it is without a doubt one of the best. It's a shame that in Spain there is no longer this franchise that I had been told about more times... Staff, food and atmosphere of 10. Whenever I go for work and stay at Canary W, I come of course

You can’t go wrong with any bowl of ramen at Wagamama! It’s a nice cozy place on the 1st floor. They also serve free green tea if you’re that kinda person:)

The standards are always consistent across the chain and has been for many many years. Service is fast and efficient and food quality is always on point. Today however, our waiter was extremely attentive. He informed us about various offers currently available that would essentially give us for free what we had originally ordered for starters (edamame and gyozas).

Haven’t been to a Wagamama for years. Daughter wanted to try it out so we went out as a family. We ordered a side dish and main each. Very tasty, large portions. Reasonably priced for London, £117 for a family of four with drinks. Service a little slow considering it was quiet and I had to ask for one of the dishes that was forgotten twice. Would definitely return or go to another branch, maybe as a treat.

Staff have a terrible attitude don’t bother unless you wanna get totally insulted.

It’s time we talk about wagamama’s. Why does this place exist, for who? I’d understand, if the prices were cheaper perhaps. But this is pretty silly. Inauthentic fusion food that you can EASILY get in London from an actual authentic place where the flavours are good. I mean, this is just bland mall food, but it’s not even indulgent. It just doesn’t make sense that this is a widely appreciated chain. Let’s review the food too. None of it was excellent, the only good one was the crispy salmon rice, but that’s pretty hard to mess up. I’d say most of the enjoyment I got from wagamama’s was because a dish had mayo in it and that’s because I love mayo. The mushroom bao buns were nice and pillowy, very comforting food, I must say that. But flavours were standard. The dumplings I liked only because truffle is interesting in dumplings, but the texture was not crispy enough, and I wanted more sauce and that the filling was more tender and juicy. The curry was mid, needed a bit more salt, and there was a sincere lack of curry sauce. Too much rice in this ratio. But the tofu had a nice explosive texture. Overall I just don’t get it, it’s normal food, but really expensive for what you get. And the mood inside isn’t great either. sorry…

Great food, good service , good Wagamama

From arriving to leaving we felt welcomed. The staff were happy but talked the script they've been given very fast. Food was ok. The beef strips I had on the salad were incredibly tough but the rest was delicious.

Been here and at others in the chain plenty. The food is good and consistent, really like the udon nudges and katsu curry.

It is always pleasant to visit Wagamama at Canary Wharf. Even before moving to the neighborhoud was one of our favourite restaurants. I would like to thank our waiter Harini who took care of us. Really professional, kind and enthusiastic on her job. Was really nice to have someone like her treating us ao well!

We had a lovely time at Wagamama yesterday as we made a impromptu dinner plan with friends. The service is top notch and would like to recommend this place. We had an amazing delivery experience and special thanks to Simran who helped with amazing recommendations.

Loved the food but service can be improved, order a couple of plates to share the starters and they never arrived.

Would skip this place if I wasn’t hungry. Service is below standards - took the order from 2 and food came for one including main course before appetizers. Glass with melted ice for the soft drink and no follow up after asking for a fresh solid ice 😄 Food is below par I think standards have dropped significantly in the last couple of years. Skip for sure 4/10

Not sure what happened here tonight. Normally a big fan of wagamama but this was very poor. Waited about to be seated and then waited near half an hour to place an order - the restaurant was empty. Staff were too busy messing about between themselves at the front of the restaurant to be bothered. No direct pay at the table either which meant more time trying to attract their attention and not using the app. Won't be back

Pregnant and can’t eat anything raw. Manager on duty showed 120% patience and checked with kitchen for how the food will be cooked. Really appreciated for the way I have been served. Thank you so much 😊

Service was great but food was bland and the Katsu was extremely bad. Couldn't finish it as it had a very strong taste of cumin like it was full of it. Kinda disappointed that I spent so much money for something I couldn't eat at all.

My experience at Wagamama's was the worst at the canary wharf branch. I have been to many Wagamama's but this one was the worst one. I have been to Victoria, North Greenwich branches and they were absolutely amazing with quick, polite and amazing food quality. 1. The quality of food compared to other branches such as North Greenwich was low. 2. We were never asked for water, the water was brought after we had to ask for a basic necessity item twice. 3. We were handed our bill before we could finish our meals. I understand they had to close but a polite reminder would have been so much better. 4. The young female waiter with black hair was not at all polite and we had to ask for things twice/ thrice. The male waiter was very polite and was quick with service. 5. It felt the branch was rushing to close since the moment we entered. I sure will never visit this branch ever !!

Hard to see the popularity here besides location, tried the Shirodashi ramen and didn't find much flavor in the bbq pork or appreciate the very thick bamboo. Loud atmosphere so designed for large groups with the communal seating. At least the green tea is complimentary.

We went on Sunday, with anticipation to eat nice pad thai, instead we been waiting for our food and drinks to arrive for ages - mind you, place was absolutely quiet, pad thai itself was spicy as hell, bland and tiny portion. We also ordered another meal promptly after realising pad thai is so unsually spicy, been almost at the point of leaving when it's arrived. Table was greasy to touch too, just horrible experience overall - better to get something else from other place around.

Today I had best experience so far in Canary Wharf wagamama, team were brilliant. I had my shitaki otsunami and saku duck tepaniaki. Food was amazing, so much sitaki on my side dish. Team were working together, each of one came to ask of everything is fine, order been taken fast, drink and food arrived in good timing. Thank you so much, you made my meal more cozy ❤️

The food was great. We enjoyed the mushroom baos and the yaki soba chicken. The service was exceptional, special shoutout to Gouri who worked tirelessly getting us the most amazing food. They especially took care of my mums sea food allergy. Exceptional experience!

What a lovely trip to Wagas. You always get the best treatment, best vibes, and gorg food. But today I met Harini, she was lovely! She deserves the world, and I loved her vibes! She was kind, receptive, honest and gave the best food recommendations! Manifesting a promotion for her if I’m honest! ✨ I shall be back!

I recently dined at Wagamama in Canary Wharf. The restaurant has a modern and inviting ambiance, perfect for casual meals. I tried the bang bang cauliflower and fresh juices, and both were awesome. The menu offers a diverse selection of flavorful dishes, all expertly prepared. The staff were exceptionally nice, providing prompt and attentive service. However, it's worth noting that the restaurant is located underground, which might feel a bit claustrophobic for some. Despite this, it’s a great spot for a delicious meal in the area.

Walked in on a Friday evening, the restaurant was surprisingly quiet which was amazing. My server Chloe is hardworking, friendly and quick, will be back soon!

I usually get terrible service in this Wagamama, eg no one designated to take my order etc. But Mrinal was very attentive and more of their staff should be like him.

I enjoy the flavours in the dishes but the portion size isn’t enough! The portions size use to be much bigger and worth the value.

Wagamama is a fantastic Japanese restaurant, perfect for a casual yet flavorful meal. Their ramen is highly recommended—rich, hearty, and delicious. It's a great spot for satisfying your noodle cravings! Also, cheesecake is a must try ! Also, vegan corndogs are the best, with mustard sauce..

Ordered the steak teriyaki soba in which the menu describes the beef as a 'premium cut steak'. It was so tough even my dog would struggle (they've clearly mistaken cheap for premium). Disappointing. The venue is also ridiculously loud, can't even hear what I'm saying. Clearly needs some sound deadening, it amplifies the chatter from the masses and that's really not a good thing. My jaw and ears suffered during this experience.

There is no service charge that is automatically added onto your bill unlike a number of eateries. We had tasted better ramen in other Wagamama outlet. The ramen was overcooked. Ramen was not springy. Soft and soggy so much so that what little soup was starchy. The broth lacked umami. Grilled prawns were well marinated with good charred flavour. We would not return.

First impression not good. Was looked up and down at the door as if we’ve interrupted their conversation. An Asian lady 20s sat us down and “cleaned” our table - she did not wipe it down and was still sticky, she just took the dirty plates off. The order was fine, the gentleman was nice and so was the food. The food came before the drinks however, and was brought dirty cups. As we then left after paying online, we were forced to stay by the door. They checked online and asked for a receipt on our phone as proof. We showed them this and the Asian lady still did not believe we paid after showing her the payment out of my bank alongside the actual receipt. I absolutely believe this was racially motivated by the Asian lady. Our section waiter then chased out for us to tell them we did in fact pay. Experience completely ruined throughout and regret to say I will not be returning as I thought Wagamama was an inclusive restaurant.

Good restaurant with plenty of options - pad Thai is my usual favourite as it never disappoints

I enjoyed a nice dinner with my best friend today at Wagamama’s Canary Wharf. We were served by Trevor who was a superstar! He really made our visit and we will certainly be coming back again😊

Rude male waiter abrupt not kid friendly was moaning because how sons drink was near the menu and a stop went on it (cleanable menu) waited ages for our bill asked twice and rolled his eyes when I asked a third time but had been waiting longer for the bill then it took for us to eat our food

Brilliant juices. So rare in the UK to get decent fruit juice that is fresh, decent volume and reasonably priced. The place is very well run and the service from Asha was fantastic. The ramen broth was more sour and salty than usual and we couldn't finish it and when it came to paying the bill I mentioned it only in passing. Asha responded immediately and even though we were happy and hadn't asked for anything she rushed back and gave us something else on the house instead - in an instant. Highly recommend a visit.

Food is fine - but the unwelcoming staff who ignore waiting guests, and the incredibly slow service mean that this is absolutely not worth visiting.

Went for mother's day dinner and was very enjoyable. Harini our server made the experience even more enjoyable. We were there with our two children and made them feel comfortable too. Brilliant service, best in a long time

Service was great and so was the food we got the new hot pot from the menu and also the spicy mackerel.

We came on a Saturday evening and it was packed. There was a short queue to get in but the queue was being managed well so we got a table within 5 minutes. It was incredibly hectic but our order was taken within a reasonable time and our food arrived fairly quickly. The quality of food was excellent all round. I also had a Japanese gin and tonic which was delicious too. The one complaint is the lack of toilets - just one cubicle for the whole restaurant plus a disabled toilet that requires a special key so I had to queue for ages.

We enjoyed our time at Wagamama, was a Sunday with transport disruptions so luckily restaurant was relatively quiet, seating and service was quick. Overall nice experience with good food and decent enough price. 4/5 👌

Service at this place doesn’t exist. When you have someone who is good you’ll have a great night or it’ll ruin your night like how we had. Tried to raise it with the manager but the attitude was unbelievably bad, no wonder the team behaves this way. Wagamama should be ashamed of this branch!

The food was ok but the staff was a bit pushy because three different waiters asked us to write a good review about them. I found that a bit annoying to be honest.

Wagamama has introduced some new Korean vegan dishes which I really enjoyed. Tried their vegan K-dogs, mixed mushroom buns, tofu raisukaree, tofu hot pot and miso caramel ice cream. Absolutely loved the tofu hot pot, it was so heart warming and loved trying tteokbokki in it for the first time. The tofu raisukaree is also really good if you want to try a rice based dish besides Katsu curry. K-dogs were also interesting to try one time. And you have to finish with the miso caramel ice cream, it just goes perfectly well as a finisher after the mains. The service in the Canary Wharf Wagamama is also always amazing. The staff is very kind and friendly and take allergy issues seriously.

We love Wagamamas and it’s an easy go to with my 3yo old with allergies as we know what’s what’s, they take it seriously and my daughter eats well there. The food is good and the service quick. Having said that we visited Wagamamas Canary Wharf today due to the one at the o2 being closed and was really disappointed! Service was awful! Had to ask 3 times for a manager to take our order (policy for allergy orders) eventually got ordered. My daughters came out with rice not noodles as requested. Challenged it, they brought out noodles for her. Then charged us extra for the noodles! The service was not up to our normal experience or expectations of Wagamamas which was really disappointing! Food still tasted good at least.

Chicken katsu curry, may as well get rid of the rest of the menu.

I had an incredible katsu curry with some chicken and sticky rice.The staff were nice and there was a nice atmosphere (apart from the crying baby)But overall it was a great experience and I absolutely loved the chicken it was one of the best in my life

Das Essen war in ordnung. Die nudeln waren sehr süß, statt herzhaft! ansonsten ganz lecker und nettes personal. Die Toiletten waren allerdings der horror, einfach nur eklig und NICHT sauber!!

I dined here twice with two others when I was in London. It was very well designed, with good seating space. The servers and staff were polite and the food was served quickly. We were a mix of vegans and non-vegetarians. All our food was very good quality and tasted decent, although it's high in calories if you're mindful of that sort of thing. The complimentary green tea is very refreshing. I didn't particularly enjoy the pad thai. It felt like it lacked seasoning, although that's completely down to personal preference. It was prepared well.

I normally like Wagamama but food can be very hit and miss. They need consistency. Came here on a busy Friday evening. Huge restaurant. There is a lot of seating. Service was good. Friendly and efficient despite how busy they were. Reasonably clean. My issue was the food. The yasai pad thai with tofu was awful. I have travelled extensively in Thailand. This was not a pad thai. It was like cold noodles with no flavour. Pad thai is not like that. At least give me what I ordered rather than a bland and cold plate of noodles. Pad thai has a combination of sweet and sour, the texture is more 'sticky'. These were dry noodles. Food is freshly prepared I know but why it was cold I don't know. On the plus, nice presentation, reasonably priced and generous portion size.

The food wasn't up to standard, I handed it back and did not end up eating. The customer service was really good, though.

The delicious ramen, the really nice place, but the bad attention, I asked for a glass of water three times and the last time the waitress answered in a bad way, there were dishes tables of people who had left the place and the waitresses in a corner talking without picking up, I have been in many Wagamama and the attention has been very good, but in this place I do not know if it is new staff but they would have to train them to provide a good service or change staff, the experience of very good food but bad customer service

I ordered from here tonight and it was terrible the chilli squid wasn’t even warm and it had chilli just covered all in the middle absolutely terrible. I ordered chicken catsu curry aswel and the presentation was a mess but that’s not that big of a deal but never came like how it did before. The chicken catsu is enoguh it’s just very dry they give you a decent portion of food and then don’t even give you enoguh curry sauce it taste like I’m eating plain rice and chicken think I’m definitely gonna stay away from this place from now on

Food was really good. However, the service was even better. Kacper was amazing, the service he provided made our night. He spotted that one of the dishes was late so he followed up on it straightaway and got it sorted. I hope management recognise this chap for his dedicated customer care.

Overall an enjoyable location..dishes for our table arrived at various times..some folks almost finished their meal..while others food was just arriving..

Being a vegetarian, totally attracted to Yasai Pad thai and Fire cracker tofu. Did a mistake by trying Banana katsu and now I am addicted to it. Bang bang cauliflower is also worth trying.
