When you have a small menu, you cannot afford to not have sime basic items, nor to make each dish above average. They do maybe 8 hot ramens, three cold ones, a couple of katsu curries, a few side dishes and only a couple of desserts. They had no cucumber which was offered with the gin, no slimlines, no caffeine- free coffee. My friend said her cauliflower vegan wings were nice, endemame beans with salt are an insult of a dush in any restaurant, their chilli chicken ramen with the chilli removed and extra chicken were ok and my chilli prawn ramen was, frankly, the worst ramen i have ever had. Bland lukewarm, insipid and tasteless broth, earthy spinach mass overpowering everything and two, yes only two!!!,smallish prawns. Joke of a dish. Apparently the cashew ice-cream eastside biscuit dessert was tasty. Prices are not stupid, but it really is not worth a visit. Its just not very good food.

Myself and my lovely girlfriend were shocked to find this amazing restaurant so empty on a Tuesday night. We pleasured ourselves with two starters and two mains. Gyoza’s were the right amount of crisp and flavour. Katsu was sublime, could maybe have more sauce. The budae jjigae will blow your socks off so hard you’d think a grenade has detonated beneath your very feet. 10/10 would recommend, bill came to barely £50 with beers involved too. Let’s make this place busies because it deserves it.

My husband, son and I visited KOYN Thai and it was lovely! Fabulous experience, delicious food and excellent service! Some of the dishes are a bit on the dearer side, like the jumbo tiger prawns, tasted amazing but not lots of meat on them. But the Red Chicken Curry and Pad Thai were very reasonable. The cocktails were very reasonable in comparison to the spirits, and the Mint Mellow was one of the nicest cocktails I’ve ever had. Massive thumbs up for this restaurant, yes costly, but you are not going to go every day and the experience out ways the costs.

Two good friends of mine hired The Queen's Head for a private function in late July. The pub is a straightforward 20-minute walk from Euston station, but there are a couple of Undergrounds (Russell Square and Holborn) nearby. It was a lovely atmosphere with friendly staff and great decor (many oil paintings of previous monarchs plus a statement Gent clock). Plenty of seating available too. We didn't try any food prepped on-site, the buffet was sourced elsewhere and brought in, but all drinks were provided by the pub. The couple of drinks I had were great - it's a shame they don't do mocktails, but the ginger beer was strong and spicy, served in a good solid tumbler. We had the place to ourselves for three hours and were well looked-after. I'm not in London often but if I found myself in the area again I'd be happy to drop in for some more of that ginger beer!

The food was decent enough but the atmosphere was zero. The waiter was more concerned with dealing with delivery orders rather than the diners, so it was difficult to get their attention, even though the restaurant wasn’t that busy. Couldn’t have the bellini cocktail I wanted and was bluntly told there were no peaches. Of about seven items on the dessert menu, only one was available. And the music was atrocious!

We had our Engagement party at HDO and can’t praise the owner and staff enough! Booking was so easy with Dani always on hand to answer questions we had! Upon arrival staff and security very friendly and also through the night too. Very spacious venue easily accommodated our 150 guests who all said that it was an amazing venue. Would defo recomend this venue to anyone who is thinking of having a party!

Had lunch here by chance a couple of weeks ago. We were lucky to get a table as it was pretty much full Nothing but good things to say about the food and service. It was all excellent and great value for money. If you are uncertain as to where to eat in Stoke Newington then I’d put Aun pretty high on my list. This recommendation is given without reservation!
