Yoobi in City of London, Westminster

There's hardly ever a time where I wouldn't want to eat Yoobi's temakis. For Brazilian-inspired temakis they're actually not too decadent (sometimes I wish they were), but they're always super nice, fresh, tasty and reasonably priced. I wish they had a 'special temaki of the month' to introduce some extra variety, as I eat here often. Think about it Yoobi.... :)

Este fue el primer restaurante de sushi que descubrí hace 6 años cuando me mudé a Londres.Es lindo, simple y la calidad del sushi es fabulosa en comparación con los bajos costos. Es adecuado para un almuerzo rápido o una cena con amigos. El único defecto, el menú ha cambiado solo una vez cada 6 años, aconsejo al propietario que modernice la oferta para mantener siempre fieles a los clientes antiguos.

This place is a must go if you looking for a fresh and tasty temakis. They do a good price/quality and the staff are very friendly.

Recently discovered this place and must admit I’m already a little bit obsessed with it. Delicate flavours, fresh cuts and chewy delicious seaweed. My only criticism would be for the sushi to be a couple of pounds cheaper and this would become a bi weekly haunt. Instead it’s a treat, but utterly delicious local lunch choice!

Yoobi has very original temakis and tasty. They are in my opinion quite decent in terms of price, although they could be 1£ less and I would go every day or so.Anyway I recommend this place as a place to go in the area if you are craving for Japanese fusion food

Not that I agree with the price it charges but I've always been a regular customer ordering from Yoobi and today has been the worst delivery service I have ever had!But who's fault is it? Deliveroo or Yoobi not even having someone you can call? I mean, I tried calling the number it says here but was saying that the place was shut whilst my ordering was still running... I couldn't cancel my order or anything...and the thing is: never had any complimentary food as an apology or anything ( once my order came wrong and never complained !). I still like your sushi, Yoobi, but c'mon...! you can do better!

Really good sushi and very nice staff. The price was fine compare to what you get. And the atmosphere in the restaurant was very good.

Good sushi here, but expensive - I had a miso soup, sides of broccoli and 2 tuna and wasabi handrolls and it was £20 for what is essentially a takeaway restaurant. Nice - but watch what you order if you're on a budget!

Great sushi, affordable place. Waited for the food a bit longer then expected, got the drinks after the food as well so service could be improved. Overall experience was good 😊

One of the best places for a light but spicy lunch in London with a very good and freshly made sushi!

It was an amazing lunch, pretty fast but really good. The Location is nice and the food is delicious. The portions are pretty small but anyway satisfy.

Ordered from here on the 25th of November in the evening via deliveroo. It arrived when it said it would no problems there. The sushi was average and I wasn’t really expecting much as it was delivered. I usually equate substandard sushi with ordering online so never get too excited. So happy days it arrived and I ate it.

Leider war einiges bereits ausverkauft, was uns vorher nicht gesagt wurde. Die Suppe war auch mittelmässig. Sushi ansonsten ganz gut und preis war auch eher günstig. Lage super gut mitten in soho.

Welcoming small corner Sushi cafe & staff. Very fresh, edamame, spicy miso soup w/veggies, spicy, tuna roll, tuna tataki! Soup had almost no mixed veggies. Other than that, the fish was still good.

Went in for takeaway, ordered, was told to take a seat and that it would be a few minutes. 25 minutes later I finally asked where my food was, and was told rather sheepishly that they'd lost my ticket earlier. I pointed out that this information would have been useful several minutes earlier, or that any indication of the length of wait might have been useful. Predictably, the soup and the seared sushi were cold in the end, though the other sushi was fine, though considering the high cost, I'd have expected so much better.

It’s an ok sushi place that likes to add a twist to traditional sushi with tried and tested flavour combinations, not often seen in “sushi format” - like sun-dried tomatoes and Philadelphia cheese. Prices are high for a fairly standard portion of sushi. Basic cucumber maki can get to over £5 for no apparent reason. Also the service is a bit hit and miss. Overall, it feels like they haven’t quite decided what they are going for. It’s too expensive for a lunch break and not satisfying enough as a dinner restaurant.

Svært frisk og god smak på maten, samt veldig koselig sted å spise på. Veldig hyggelige servitører også! Eneste jeg kan «klage» på er at alkohol ikkje blir servert og man ikke kan få isbiter til drikken.

The food was good for me however my boyfriend is vegan and having asked upon entering if they do vegan options we expected decent food for him. It was poor, he had the vegetarian food minus half the ingredients. The waitress looked like she wanted to be anywhere but there. She went to check if there was any green tea but never came back. She overed by boyfriend gluten free soy because of course if you are vegan you must be gluten free also. She also had to ask the manager what was in the food multiple times. Our vegan and non vegan food was also served on the same plate.

Super sympa comme restaurant chill, la cuisine est au milieu de l'endroit, les Nigiri et temaki sont super frais et bon. J'ai préféré le saumon > crab. Quand même assez cher

Ese era el Sushi más caro y más pequeño que he tenido. Después de una cena. por £70 que para una tarta siga fácilmente con un puré y ale, una pinta de cerveza para cada uno. . pérdida de dinero. No recomiendo!. Hay mucho, mucho más sabroso y menos caro el sushi alrededor.

We were staying at the Holiday Inn Regents Park, which is in Carburton Street and we walked here and it was an extremely lucky find as everything we had was so good.

Ordered via Deliveroo. Food was insiped. It looked as it had been prepared at least a day before.It was inedible . Very expensive. would never do it again

We ordered from Yoobi Sushi through Deliveroo and it was the worst Sushi we have ever had. They did not complete our order and did not include soy sauce or ginger. They do not answer their telephone. We had to go through Deliveroo and they only gave us a £5 future credit. Do not order from these people. Truly, a horrible experience.

Yo visité este lugar recientemente. Sólo quería probar sushi no del gran restaurante de cadena y elegí Yoobi! Sin duda, no lamento en absoluto que era realmente una buena elección y me quedé impresionado con la comida y un gran servicio. Sin duda merece la pena volver. Gracias a todo el equipo de yoobi.

I don't not consider myself as fussy and difficult customer to please and rarely leave any reviews on someone.. but what I get at the end today was a pure rip off! ....their food photos are so misleading,it was a tiny portion of fish and rice, all of bad quality with lots of soya souse in the rice.I know what is a truly good poki .For those who are looking for one of the best one poki experience - it is Ahi Poke,same price £8.95 for a bowl but absolutely delicious and they seem care about food quality.

This is my new favourite sushi restaurant in London. The spicy tuna is to die for. Will definitely be visiting again.

THis is mostly a sushi bar, but they serve it in cones. There are not many options to choose from, but everything is so tasty, so I guess they know what they are doing. I will certainly come back.

The quality of sushi in London has steadily improved over the past couple of years and there are now so many places that serve very tasty food at decent prices that it's a little difficult to recommend Yoobi from a value perspective. The menu focuses primarily on temaki and maki--nigiri sushi and sashimi are available but considerably more expensive. Ingredients are of good quality and shine through clearly with no muddling. Flavor combinations are excellent, with no unpleasant notes. We especially enjoyed the yellowtail maki. The miso is absolutely delicious!Staff are friendly and welcoming. The venue itself is reasonably spacious, with lots of natural light. The music is distractingly loud.

The restaurant was spacious and without noise. We had a very kind Spanish waiter who helped us with the food. The food was good, different types of sushi and temakis, no like the normal ones. The price wasn't expensive at all.

Had a bite here after 8pm and wasn't impressed with the temaki, maki, and sashimi. The rice around the maki was dry and my cured salmon maki was fatty - seemed like the unwanted fatty bits were used to make the maki. Also couldn't taste the Asian pear in my maki and told the waitress this but she couldn't understand 'Asian pear' even though it's listed on the menu. I gave up trying to explain my dissatisfaction. The sashimi slices were thin and the tuna I had was tasteless. I didn't experience a fusion of Brazilian and Japanese cuisine. It was a poor effort.

When heading to the Theater in the West End, I love stopping here to get a quick but delicious meal. Their small fish and rice pockets wrapped in seaweed are inventive and absolutely delicious. I keep trying different choices and specials and have never gone wrong. Service is prompt and friendly just as you need it to get to the show.

Yoobi is one of the best places in soho for sushi and so reasonably priced. The citrus salmon Temaki is my personal favorite, I could eat it all day. Everything tastes very fresh and every dish tastes amazing. I love the twist it puts on classic sushi giving everything a real kick of flavor. The menu may be limited but when every item is so amazing I don't see the need for more choice!The only thing I wish is that there was more atmosphere in the restaurant, its great for take away but doesnt feel like the sort of place you would meet with friends which is a shame because the food ticks all the boxes.

Just visited for a take-away lunch. Very welcoming staff! Really nice, friendly people, happy to explain everything. It's nice to have such a warm greeting. The food itself is really tasty and I found it to be quite cheap for sushi.

Just ordered takeaway from Yoobi and will definitely be doing so again. Sushi tastes full of flavour and very fresh (rare for sushi takeaway in my experience). The tuna temaki was a personal favourite. Recommended.

I've passed Yoobi at least a 100 times since it's opening in Soho in April 2012.I've made a number of attempts to visit (sadly its early closing means I'm often arriving just as, or just after they've closed the doors at 21:00 (Monday - Wednesday).However, a friend had visited recently and was impressed so happy to go again with me for a late lunch.Our arrival was greeted courteously and efficiently by the staff members and we sat down and occupied a table of our choice.A few minutes later our drink orders arrive (this venue has no alcohol licence and their organic presses are a little on the pricey side too) my guest having coke, me tap water.I opted for a single Temaki, filled with Scottish Salmon, chives Wasabi and rice at an astonishingly cheap price of £3.20, followed by 2 Mochi for £2.80. This was the perfect amount of food for a light lunch which was what I was looking for and came in at very reasonable total of £6.The flavours were fresh, the free Wasabi & Ginger gave it the appropriate spiciness my palate enjoys too.My guest had a bigger appetite and went for the Salmon Sashimi (£5) & the Spicy Tuna Maki (£5.20) equally as good I'm reliably informed and finished with 2 different Mochi flavours too.This is a light, well designed, nicely serviced venue with extremely reasonably priced sushi.It's Fusion credentials are extremely interesting (ask for the story - see the logo in the photos) and undeniably work.A good addition to soho and perfect for lunch.Treat yourself.

A friend introduced me to yoobi a few years ago. Since then, I return when I want good sushi at a good price (i.e. want a satisfying meal for £15). I don't usually eat temakis, but these are scrumptious - the brasilian fusion twist to it creates a variety of excellent combos (tuna tartare and guacamole go hand in hand). One of the best temaki bars in London. Only note is I recommend going earlier in the day as sushi tends to be a bit less fresh towards closing time.

Come da consiglio di un'amica, sono stata in questo ristorante a cena....il sushi è ottimo e i camerieri cordiali e gentili...unica pecca è che il ristorante non serve alcolici e quindi sushi senza vino....che peccato....ma ne è valsa davvero la pena...e non abbiamo speso molto...lo consiglio vivamente!

My husband and I stumbled upon Yoobi 4 years ago while we were visiting London for work. Now that we've moved to the UK and have been craving GOOD sushi, Yoobi was the first place we came back to on our recent trip to London. We both ordered 2 temaki cones each and everything was so awesome - just as we remembered. It really hit the flavour profile we both were missing. Perfect sushi rice, fresh fish, and perfect flavour pairings. My favourite temaki is the citrus salmon. We'll definitely be back often now that we're not too far away!

I had a great lunch, last time for first time on November 2016,second on march i love these place great service, love the food it is a casual place no reservations just what you might need shopping around and if you have not much time to spend on your lunch break , these soho small restaurant is a great choice !!!!!

just left a Bond St exhibition and fancied something healthy and light and we thought sushi but walking along Berwick St didn't know where we were heading then we turned up Lexington St and came across Yoobi which I had seen before but not tried so we went in. It has moody lighting lots of friendly staff. The Bulgarian waitress was really nice. Our order arrived super quick and it was really good temaki and sushi. Will definitely go back !

Me and my fiancé went there for a dinner. We walked in and the waiter was really nice and asked us to have a seat.We waited for 15 minutes until we got contact to waiter to take order. Another 15-20 minute waiting for our food, we were not asked if we would anything to drink.The food looked okay but it was just avarage.

This place is good. Nice decor but the sears could be more comfy.While most of the food was good the menu is limited.Sounds like a very average review but it is good.

I ordered sushi in sashimi from Yoobi (deliveroo) yesterday and it was one of the most awful experiences I have ever had!! To start with, the sashimi had a black small hair on it!! We ordered 4 different rolls and there was a weird taste on them but I ignored it and ate it. 2 hours later I started to have the worst stomach pain ever and ended up vomiting and absolutely intoxicated. Today I am still really sick and haven't eaten anything. Will never order again!!!! On top of everything is quite expensive, small and they don't even send wasabi!

I go here regularly as it's close to where I work. I really like the hand rolls, particularly the spicy tuna. It's always friendly and the food is always fresh. The miso soup hits the spot too ( though they run out sometimes, which I guess is a good thing - for obvious reasons ) The menu is not traditional Japanese by any stretch of the imagination but it's very enjoyable and just that bit different. Well worth a visit.

Nipped in for a quick bite to eat around 3:30pm so the lunch queue had died down. After walking in to a near empty restaurant and being served, two guys came in five minutes or so after me. The chef was busy preparing the previous orders food so I waited. I saw the manager walk up to the chef, whisper something while looking at his tickets of food to prepare. After the previous customer was served, the two guys who came in after me were then served before me! It was clear from the girl who originally served me that she had no idea that this had happened and the manager prioritised their order over mine. Avoid at all costs if you're hungry.

This is a efficient place in downtown London. Order at the counter and go sit. Quick service and very tasty sushi's. The personal is very friendly and the open kitchen gives you the full Japanese experience.

Craving for Sushi, we googled and found Yoobi a small fast food sushi restaurant. After figuring out on how their menu works, we were soon served with our miso soups and seaweed salad.The tiger prawns, avocado & asparagus and wasabi tuna accompanied by the salmon tataki and tuna sashimi followed soon. Maki portions smaller than other places we know. Good value and quick service.

Yoobi was one of my go to places when in London, but judging by my last visit its has lost its way.The food was average, with stray pieces of rice stuck to the nori, the wasabi overused, and the service lacking. Sorry, it's no longer worth a visit.

Yoobi is around the corner from where I work on a Friday night and I have visited many times, usually when in a rush.The spicy tuna temaki is my favourite and I could eat probably eat about 10 in a row.The amount of spice is just right and it is so fresh and tasty.You can be in and out with a full belly within 10 minutes or you can sit and enjoy yourself in the relaxed atmosphere in the middle of Soho.

Hmm, I'm not sure what the previous reviewer was ordering, but I regularly order temaki from Yoobi Battersea and everyone in our family loves them. Especially the sun dried tomato ones. It is not cheap, but tasty and I never had any issues with quality or freshness. My only problem is that it is only available on certain days/times from deliveroo.

A relaxed atmosphere and a quick service will help you taste this delicious food. I have been trying Yoobi several times in the past months and I never get tired of it. I am happy they increased the prices lately as I would go every day otherwise. Definitely one of my favourite places to have lunch in Soho. Enjoy.

I went for a quick bite at this sushi bar with a couple of friends. The sushi was really nice with good value for your money. Service was friendly but not very responsive. The place is really casual and relaxed, and all in all this was a good and relaxed dinner experience.

Dear readers,I'll give five stars to this sushi for the way they treated me. At first we ordered and payed following the rules of the venue. Then we waited for 45 min for food. After 45 min the waiters realized they'd forgot our order. We had to wait 15 more minutes. So total wait 1 hour. I was pissed and angry. But you know what happened? The manager came to our table, apologized and offered us either a refund or a free meal next time. He was kind and I said "sure we'll come back". It was my fifth time there and I never had any problems. This is the first time something went bananas. I don't think you should judge a restaurant by one single mistake immediately repaired. However you surely should judge a restaurant on how they deal when things go south. Food wise it's good and not expensive for a sushi in London. Definitely worth to go!

I came here with with my girlfriend and walked out after 40 minutes. Someone took our order and forgot to put it through the till. We waited half an hour for and our drinks hadn't even been brought to us... After consulting the waiter, he followed up which seemed to cause some confusion amongst the staff. The girl who took our order didn't seem to remember doing so. After ten further minutes and not even drinks being brought to us after asking again, we left. I can't even describe the ineptitude of the staff at this establishment, even the 'manager' had no clue at what was going on. Everyone else seemed to be waiting an overly long time for food as well. Oh, and to top it all off. The girl whom took our order 'thanked' us for coming as we walked out...

The restaurant itself is modern and nicely designed but it feels a bit underwhelming. A bit like a hipster cafeteria. Well never mind you can order to take away, for delivery or just focus on the food.This place does mainly hand-rolls and they do it well. Have a look at the specials always something nice in there, the regular hand-rolls are always a strong bet as well.My favorite are the real crab California roll, the citrus salmon and the unagi hand roll.Usually 4 hand rolls will satisfy a big appetite and cost you around 20 pounds with a drink. So overall good value.Service can be hit or miss, but usually not too bad. It's definitely a place where you want to focus on the cheap delicious food.

The sushi is delicious. What a nice surprise in central London. Not very expenses considering the location/quality. Doesn't have much variety but the sushi availability is very good. Nice atmosphere. Will definitely return!

Having lived in Brazil for over a decade, we thought we'd have a quick lunch in a Brazilian-style temakeria. We arrived at about 1345. Told we had to order first, we went to the empty counter and waited while this and that was done by the cashier. 5 minutes later we ordered. No problem, we then sat and waited for 25 minutes for 3 temakis, some maki and 2 bowls of miso.The food was OK, but not if you have to wait 25 minutes for it to get served. Either they lost our order or preferred to do the takeaways first. Either way it was unacceptable. If I were you I'd have a look in and if there is a queue of people, don't go. It's not worth the wait.

We were two couples. They forgot one of our orders, but that was the only negative thing about this place. Wonderful sushi, although the pieces were really small - be aware! Nice green juices.

We went here early afternoon for a casual dinner and had a great meal. It's a casual setting but sushi was very very good quality. We would definitely return if in the area however wouldn't go out of our way. Prices were fair-ok.

I have eaten here multiple times and never been disappointed. There is a great range of hand rolls that suit vegetarians and vegans. The service is quick and the atmosphere is a great balance of formality. Easy just to drop in eat and go or spend a few hours drinking tea and chatting. Friendly staff :)

Yoobi sits a couple blocks off the Oxford-Regent Street shopping area, and is worth seeking out. The sushi was fresh and tasty, service prompt. We sat in the window and had some great people watching to top it off.

Very good option for a quick meal in center London. We where with the kids. It was their introduction to "Japanese" food and they love it. Simple menu and well done. They offer gluten free options with almost every dish and alternative, including gluten free soya sauce. Great!

I had a very gourmet quick craving Temaki rolls lunch with sumptuous products . Even The miso soup was great with fresh chuncks of brocolis and asperagus .
