The best restaurants serving Italian food in Scotland

We both enjoyed our lunch of baked potato and lentil soup and cheese toastie at Humbles and managed to sit outside and enjoy the midday sunshine in Helensburgh.

Waited an hour on our main course, ordered a coke and it never came, we told the waitress and she laughed. I complained about the staff at the front bar that our service was poor, she said they were busy, i then told her everyone round about us got served before us, i then told her i wouldnt be back. As i was walking away either the blonde waitress who served us, and also laughed at us, or the coloured waitress said "rude". The irony is not lost on me. Dreadful service, and awful way to treat customers. Happy to speak to manager.

The pizza bases were hard to eat / chew

Been here plenty of times, food has always been on point and milkshakes! Staff always go the extra mile and when ordering at the counter the staff are a good laugh.

I would love to leave a review for this restaurant considering I have visited numerous times before and always loved the food. My work has even attended for our Christmas meal in previous years and we thought it would be the perfect place to return to for a work colleagues leaving meal as she really rates here as great restaurant. However, having enquired about availability for 22 people through the correct process stated on their website TWICE, I am still wait to hear back from the restaurant. Their acknowledgement email clearly states that “we will be in touch shortly” and “We are working hard to get to your enquiry however due to the large volume of enquiries due to the festive season these are taking a little longer than expected, We do appreciate your patience.” Very disappointing and a missed opportunity for great business from 22 people who are now reluctant to book with yourselves going forward.

Bit disappointed in food , ordered chicken milanese with chips . And that's what came a slice of breaded chicken and few chips , no sauce no veg no salad . Defo not worth 15 pound

Restaurant closed down. Had an online booking confirmation and arrived to find closed down since Xmas eve. Booking via dojo

Walk in order 20:45 30/04/25 ordered smoked sausage supper, 3 pickles, can of irn bru. When I saw the chips they looked pale and undercooked. The person lifting them out the Fryer looked like an experienced person so didn’t question it. Upon eating the chips were completely tasteless. Even though I was starving I couldn’t eat the chips they weren’t right. Photo is of the chips before binning them. No point complaining I won’t be back.

La comida no era buena. La pizza de mi hija era increíblemente salada. Pedí el fusilli con setas y calabacines, la salsa sabía como si hubiera salido de un frasco. No valen las 12 libras que pagué por el plato. El servicio era lento. Esperamos casi 30 minutos entre nuestro arrancador y el principal. El batido fue muy bueno. Elegiremos otro lugar la próxima vez que estemos en Glasgow

Fui aquí para una comida de celebración que había estado esperando durante meses, pero me quedé increíblemente decepcionado. El menú del almuerzo solo se puede pedir si todos los que están en la mesa lo piden (no se puede elegir nada del menú estándar). El servicio era muy pobre y me sentí despedido por el servidor en cada interacción. La comida no era nada especial, muy grasienta sin mucho sabor y muy cara por lo que recibimos, yo personalmente no recomendaría. Lo único que disfruté fue el cóctel que tomé.

Have now visited a few times and would definitely recommend it. Great food, great value for money and friendly staff.

Barracuda is terrible especially for customer service ordered two kebabs with no salad and a dinner pizza with spicy chicken the kebabs came with salad and the pizza without the chicken and the cheek of the person in store accusing me of not checking the pizza not only was the pizza cooked with donner dropped on top not cooked with the pizza there were 5 tiny little pieces of chicken on a whole 12 inch pizza and was not even spicy just plain and was giving me cheek over the phone at least they said they would send another but ended up hanging up on me after saying I must not have checked the pizza right

Went for breakfast and decided on the Italian cheese and ham toastie. The ham was cheap ham out of a supermarket and the cheese was very cheap, poor advertising and won’t be back

Had a really lovely meal. Server Joanna was very attentive and looked after us. Will be back again!
