Visited this lovely cafe because it was a perfect spot to sit outside on a sunny day. Food (chicken cezar salad) was very fresh and perfect ratio of dressing, meat and leafs. I will be returning and will try next time something else from the menu.

So helpful with Vegan questions, could not do enough for us. See you soon x

Great place for a good breakfast

Had a toastie yesterday and it was shockingly poor - a half slice of (orange) cheese and a bit of chewy gammon- I was already out of town or I would have returned it. Toast is and 2 bottles of water £9

Had what they called a ploughman's platter. I've had many ploughman's in many places, this was the poorest I've ever had. My wife had a panini with mozzarella, pesto and tomato. May as well have had nothing in it. Saving grace was the coffee was good.

A very nice and quaint cafeteria with a nice selection of food and beverages with pleasant and courteous staff.

Perfect cafe in the centre of Helensburgh. Lovely staff and fantastic new menu all freshly prepared on site for a reasonable cost. It’s very popular and the staff always go above and beyond for their customers.

Great location right on the square but the food was pretty mediocre in quality and quantity. Coffee was good and it’s convenient but didn’t really have any soul or comfort.

Lovely cafe situated in colquhoun square. My sister, my new born son and myself sat outside and enjoyed the delish food and great atmosphere!! Staff always so friendly and very attentive. The cafe was full and the service was still quick. Great baking for a treat with your tea or coffee!! Highly recommend

I was served by a very polite young lady who talked me through the cakes available and served me at a nice pace it's affordable with a nice atmosphere and well lit interior.

Staying locally we stopped off for lunch in Helensburgh and found Humbles with seating outside as we had our dog with us. Friendly waitress and we ordered 1 tea, 1 coffee 1 cheese and tomato baquette and a tuna mayo toastie. All arrived quickly and was ok but the baquette was smaller than expected and at £7.95 was expensive for the size, it was more like along roll. It was tasty and my wifes toasty was on. As I have marked with 3 stars (average) it was average but expensive.

I visited this coffee shop on saturday 8th june .i have a disability walker and got a seat inside .the girl gave me a menu then didnt come back to my table .3 ladies sat at the next table after 5 minutes the girl reappeared and took the 3 ladies order at which point i got up and left .what poor service .so i cant comment on food quality or coffee as i didnt get the chance to order ??

Service poor Called for lunch there was a few tables not busy .Waitress informed us 20 minute's wait for food ? left us with menus no drinks order offered then after a further ten minutes later we decided leave.

First time the experience was great so we returned a second time 2 weeks ago and found the service much slower and when we asked about it the older waitress took offence. Still we decided to return a third time, on Friday, to give it another chance. Initially we were met by a young waitress who was very pleasant and helpful. Took our order. We sat waiting for 20 mins finally teas came but no food. Still waiting another 30 mins. No food. It was just two panini. Other customers came after us; ate and left. Still nothing for us. We noticed the lunch rush reduced with only a few customers left. But still no food for us. Eventually we lost our appetite and left. We will not be returning! Have told all our friends not to go there. There are plenty of other small cafes in Helensburgh. Found the older waitress very rude towards us. Kept blanking us and having loud happy chat with everyone else. She made us feel very unwelcome.

Enjoyed a lovely breakfast ,I had scrambled egg and bacon breakfast roll ,which was very nice indeed, my husband had a breakfast baguette, which included scrambled egg,bacon and sausage ,he said was also very good. Good coffee. Friendly staff and lovely atmosphere,we got there just before it started to get busy. Outside seating looking onto a small town square.

The building is an amazing conversion of a power station. The exhibitions will invoke a wide range of responses. The cafe was fine

Sometimes you go somewhere and they just care. Well the food was amazing, nothing was too much bother. Definitely try this place.

First visit to the cafe and very pleasantly surprised. Decor not my taste but irrelevant when the staff were so efficient and pleasant and soup was fabulous. I make amazing homemade soup so very critical when dining out for soup but Humbles tomato soup was absolutely the best i have every tasted. Chef kindly advised of ingredients so confirmed Vegan. Highly recommend and will definitely return. thank you

We enjoyed this place friendly as l took my wife in her wheelchair no problem service and food excellent.

Nice coffee shop with indoor and outdoor seating, conveniently situated in central Helensburgh. Good coffee and food but service was a little below par. Nonetheless the staff were polite and apologetic for the shortcomings once pointed out. I would go back.

I really don’t like leaving poor reviews, and especially not for small businesses. But sometimes the basics are so lacking that you’ve got no choice. Went in for late lunch mid afternoon. Cafe prob about 1/3rd full so not too busy - and most of these seemed to be just having coffee. Pretty long wait for our drinks. And our food took 40/45 mins - a long time when it’s just sandwiches and paninis. What made it worse was the waitress who served us sat down at an adjoining table to eat her lunch whilst we were still waiting! and we weren’t alone - a couple near us ordered just before us, and they also received their food around the same time as us. And then to cap it all we were given white bread instead of the requested brown for our sandwich - which I really dislike - but I was hungry and didn’t want to have another lengthy wait whilst it was changed. And food was just ok - definitely not worth the long wait.

Had lunch here today...Service mediocre...I had soup and a baguette. Soup wasn't hot enough and the baguette was insipid. My husbands Club sandwich was difficult to cut with the knife provided. Wouldn't recommend this venue.

Great food great prices. Lovely outlook from the window tables. A nice leisurely brunch before a gentle walk round Helensburgh.

Average home baking, small coffee cups , coffee not very warm and customer service lacking. Disappointing.

Foods pricey for what you get and the coffee cups and hot chocolate cups are small specially for £3.50 sorry but I won't be back

Lovely cafe, have eaten here a couple of times. Can highly recommend the soups (seemed most people were having soup, so must be known for it!).

I really like Humbles, whenever I'm taking Mum to see her sister in Balloch we like to head over to Helensburgh to lunch there. Service is polite and efficient. The menu suits us with plenty of choice. On our last visit I tried the Humbles club sandwich and an Americano coffee. The club was as good as I've ever had and the coffee excellent. My Mum and Aunt had the soup and sandwich option, both enjoyed their selection very much. We will be back. Highly recommended.

My daughter's tea and toasties was fine, my fruitscone had 1raisin on the outside, when I told them I wanted a fruitscone (preferably with fruit) she apologised but did not get another one. All scones were out in the open, no cover. My Americano didn't taste of coffee. Sorry

Pleasant, busy lunchtime cafe at Colquhoun Square, Helensburgh. Not big, so on a sunny warm day, fills up fast.

Amazing place, food was spot on the 1st visit so had to revisit the very next morning for brekkie before heading home. Staff were extremely helpful, lovely and friendly. Definitely going back to get brekkie the next time we visit Helensburgh

The service is awful don't use this restaurant waited ten minutes for order to be taken then waited a further twenty-five minutes before soup and a sandwich was served terrible ecperience

Great place to have a coffee breakfast or a light lunch inside or out. The staff are lovely and very friendly. Fabulous Hot Chocolate with all the trimmings especially on a cold day is highly recommended.

Stopped in for a spot of Lunch during a visit to Helensburgh. Great little restaurant, very popular. Great grub.

Such an amazing little cafe. Good coffee, simple but well done home-made food and if they have their home-made French fancies in you have to try one. Definitely a place for locals to revisit and travelers try out.

It's a good place to have your coffee and something to bite at the center of the city. For non British like me, it's what people mean when they mention English coffee shops.

I was in today for breakfast we had scrambled eggs and toast and was really disappointed at what we were served the toast was brick hard I gave the toast back they returned with just 2 slice for us poor service I have been here many times and always rate it good but I took my friend and she said it was very poor.

It's always sad when someone gives a one star review but starts their comments with,"I've been here many times before and always been satisfied but..........". So did you remember to give good reviews on the previous occasions? You can really hurt small businesses with that attitude. We had a lovely stop here this summer. The staff were all lovely,the hot chocolate to die for, according to the wife and daughters. My coffee was excellent quality and our clotted cream scones were fresh and tasty. The location is perfect too. Please take a visit and see for yourself.

I've been here a couple of times and I really love it. Staff really nice. Coffee and scones very enjoyable. Perfect location.

Coffee was good but pricey. Three coffees two empire biscuits and one millionaire shortcake was £18.30.

First visit. Had a club sandwich and a sweet chilli chicken wrap, both very tasty with a good coffee and tea.

I've eaten here many times with my daughter. Turned up today on my own, empty tables outside but was told they weren't currently available. I said I was happy to wait. I was then told the tables were booked. I asked if I could maybe book a table. I was told they don't take bookings. Simple truth was they didn't want to give a table to a single person on a Saturday. I've eaten here with my family for years, absolutely disgusted.

Great location on the corner of the square, excellent Coffee but service quite slow and scones were so crumbly it was hard to spread butter on them.

Impromptu lunch here on passing. Impressed by the cleanliness and service. Very reasonably priced, tasty food and according to my mum "one of the best cappuccinos she's ever tasted", which is high praise indeed! Comfortable sat at the fable watching the world pass by.

Great food at all times from Breakfast -Brunch-Lunch-Afternoon Tea- to an Early Dinner! BUT the coffee is also absolutely brilliant!Nicole and Kelly have cracked this and are giving an amazing service along with all the other enhanced cleaning procedures they have to perform due to Covid.Well done all of you! Wonderful Food - great service and all with a smile! What more can a body ask for! (Oh yes...totally great prices) !!! Told you they had cracked it!

Almost £11 for 2 hot drinks, 2 pancakes,out a packet, and a round of cold toast. Surroundings were grubby and not comfortable or welcoming. Staff were very pleasant, and service was good but sadly doesnt make up for everything else. Cheap food served up but charged a lot for it. Wouldnt recommend. When you pay to eat in a cafe it should be better than you have at home. This was not.

All the girls in humbles are very pleasant and helpful. They always go the extra mile to please their customers and make them feel welcome.

We came for some lunch on Saturday, we tried to catch someone's attention about a table and a lady told us to take a seat anywhere outside, there was a notice on the table telling us not to sit down if the table wasn't clean, which it wasn't, she came out afew minutes later with the menus. I asked if I could have a wee cloth to wipe down the table, she said yes but never brought one so just had to deal with the person before us crumbs. The waitress dealing with us clearly hated her job but the food was lovely, the lady inside who I paid was nice which made up for the grumpy waitress outside.
