Endroit très populaire, il vaut mieux réserver à l'avance pour être sûr d'avoir une table. Personnel +/- sympathique et efficace ( 1 sur 3). Il faut dire qu'ils ne sont pas assez nombreux pour le nombre de personnes à servir ! Et avec un seul comptoir pour faire l'addition, ça n'aide pas... Petite vue sur la baie d'Oban, qui aide à nous faire patienter (reçu rapidement ma boisson mais pour ma pizza, ça a pris un temps fou !). Pizza calzone très bizarrement présentée (cf photo). On sent que la pâte est fraîche, que les champignons le sont aussi. Par contre, la mozzarella, c'est carrément la boule entière qu'on nous a mise là ! Jambon correct, mais la salade qui l'accompagne n'est pas très bonne (surtout sa vinaigrette). Prix correct.

So disappointing. Inflated prices for microwave ready meals. The pasta isn't homemade as I expected, instead just cheap pasta from Bookers. Wilted basil that was brown and slimey on the top. Service cold and disinterested. Very minimal vegan options. Couldn't wait to leave and I was very happy not paying the service charge or tip. The only thing going was the beautiful view.

Lovely location, not an enjoyable experience however when it comes to food and service. My first bad review but had to be done food was terrible bland microwaveable nonsense. Requested prawns in my pasta dish, they were frozen and the size of maggots considering its sea front Italian restaurant, poor. They couldn’t point Italy out on a map. 0/10 wouldn’t recommend to my worst enemy

Lovely food, excellent staff, good views over Oban bay.

We stopped by in the afternoon for a bite to hold us over until dinner. We split a Four Seasons pizza which was very tasty and we found our favorite dark beer "Skye Black". The waitress was a pleasant Czech but the hostess was not so friendly BRF.

Myself and my girlfriend had a fantastic dinner here tonight after being let down by another establishment failing to inform anyone that they’d be close for refurbishment. We phoned ahead and got a table and the staff were extremely attentive and very pleasant to be around. We thought ourselves lucky as the food was unbelievable and much better than what we were expecting from our intended destination. It’s also very affordable. The view was lovely, even in the dark of night, the reflections on the water around the harbour were lovely. Really made our anniversary and we were very thankful.

Very disappointing,Been here a few times when visiting Oban but this was by far our worst visit,Was a Saturday night and busy but still no excuse for serving the frozen in the middle lasagne that we were served,Without doubt this was a microwave meal that they tried to pass off and maybe an apology would have stopped me writing this review but all we got from the head waitress was a grunt and another microwave lasagne banged down on the table,We wont be back!!

The food tasted great, the only issue was the size of the portions. Our starters, mains and desert were all just such small sizes. Why serve us a small pizza on a large circular plate? The whole time I was looking at the size of pizza I should’ve been provided with in the first place. Unfortunately I left the restaurant hungry. Having said that, service was fantastic, atmosphere great, and the table and chairs were spotlessly clean.

Got take away pizzas as that was what we fancied for dinner. They were some of the worst pizzas I’ve ever had, aside from some bottom shelf frozen supermarket pizzas. Things might be excellent in other categories and they obviously had a nice view, but don’t get takeaway pizza here, that’s for sure. Gave two stars instead of one owing to the order being accurate and timely and warm and the staff being nice.

Great food stop at Oban. Ate here on a busy weekend and left very satisfied. They are close to the parking lot with great views and polite staff. The food portions are great and would recommend stopping by if you are in Oban and do not fully fancy a full on seafood experience. You get a mix of stuff here!

Everything tasted like precooked or from the bought from supermarket. Especially the pizza, exactly the same with the ready pizza from the supermarket. This is unacceptable.

Very noisy and the receptionist took quite long to welcome and allocate new guests. Food and delivery speed including waitresses and waiters were good.

Was there as part of a large group 20+ service was slow and under pressure. Baisic bread and olives was served after starter course. Not as good as the previous visit.

I would just like to thank Piazza for my daughter's 30th birthday dinner on Fri 11th Oct. The food was fab, aswell as the quick servicer considering there were over 30 of us. Nothing was a bother. Also I don't know gentleman who was organising the drinks, food and bringing out the cake but very well done to you & the waitresses 👌👏👏👏 Thanks Tia

After a long day touring Mull and Iona, it was nice to have a great Italian dinner at Piazza when we got off of the ferry. The service was attentive and pleasant, the food was very delicious and the setting was lovely, right on the waterfront. They can do half-sized servings of most dishes, so we were able to get a small pizza, which was the perfect amount. Very enjoyable dinner. Reserve ahead of time.

Pizzeria in einem Hafenhotel, gute Lage. Bedienung drückte uns am Eingang mehrere Seiten Getränke/Speisekarte ohne jedes Lächeln in die Hand. Karten waren verknittert und fleckig. Wir haben Fish&Chips und Nudeln Godfather bestellt. Essen war nach 5 Minuten da, also vorgekocht. Essbar aber nichts besonderes. Nach Kartenzahlung grosses Palaver, da die Zahlung nicht registriert war. Musste neu gezahlt werden

The margarita pizza was very average, tasted like canned sauce.

Excellent spot which we happened upon and it has a view of the water. Really popular we were lucky to get a table. Pleasant welcome, attentive staff. Can recommend the Penne Italiano, the Garden Pizza and the Olives. Chilled atmosphere and good food what more could you want. Ice Cream Cone for pudding - you can have it - I recommend the Mint Choc Chip.

You cannot expect a very good Italian restaurant on the pier at Oban but it's false. A great choice of Italian meals and the pizza are succulent.

Arrived to find a queue of people waiting for a table. Most of the tables outside were free, so asked if we could sit outside. An Italian woman shrugged her shoulders, screwed up her face and pointed to a table. We took a table outside and were quickly and politely served by a young waiter. (it was his last evening) We ordered a pizza each, which arrived quickly. To say I was disappointed with the pizza is an understatement! It was tasteless, and looked awful. You can buy better pizzas from a supermarket! I see that this is a 'family' owned restaurant. I really hope it's not owned by Italians as their ancestors would be turning in their graves at the standard of pizza being served here! If you enjoy pizza, don't eat here!

Very expensive for what you get. Drinks came in a can lol, lasagna looked like a frozen supermarket one. Absolute fortune for it, the chips were just skinny pizza shop chips , the pasta was bland. Nice staff though. Lad serving us was a nice lad. No children options only half portions , if somone got half of the slice of lasagne I got then they would be very hungry still after. So not the best really. Shame as the kids chose it and were very disappointed. :( the 2 star is based on value for money and quality of served food.

Honestly the food was pretty good as for a non meat eater and the menu offered a good range. Would have certainly gone again on my stay here in Oban but the slow and poor service (ignored several times and forgotten about) did make it unfortunately a less enjoyable experience. 🥲

We had spent the day in the rain, wind and cold and and we're desperate for some great Italian food. Wow! Did we stumble on the right restaurant! The staff was very friendly and treated us like family. Very conversational and accommodating. The food came to us quickly and was delicious. I ordered a salad and spaghetti alla bolognese. My partner ordered a Margherita pizza. We also ordered chicken fingers and mozz sticks! And be sure to order the tiramisu! It was all fantastic. The manager led by example. He worked as hard as the staff and took time to talk to us. He was funny and personable. If I'm ever in Oban again, you can bet I'll go here+

Great views here and a pretty vibrant place to eat. The pizza is solid and it's a great stop if you are on a bus tour.

Piazza Restaurant was at first a good choice. It had a nice waterfront view, but was hard to get into as it was completely booked, but we managed. Excited for some good Italian food after 13 days of Scottish food on our vacation. Sadly, the food at Piazza is NOT true Italian. I ordered the Lasagne and it was by far the worst Lasagne I have ever had. Pasty layers of pasta sheets, ground beef in a terrible sauce, and nothing else. There was no ricotta or herbs or anything that resembled Italian Lasagne. It literally tasted like it came out of a Chef-Boyardee can. I try to be positive and share good things about every place I review, but this place had only two: the view and the service, not the food. The chef could simply watch a YouTube video to learn how to make true Italian Lasagne and people would come back. Isn't that the goal?

Arrived in Oban on route to Inverness after being delayed and diverted on the roads up from Glasgow. We were hungry but didn't have a reservation arranged in Oban. We found Piazza on the waterfront which sounded ideal so we thought we'd try it. Good location and right next to a car park. We ordered two pizzas which were mediocre. Too cheesy with oil build-up, and the dough could've done with a few more mins in the oven. I ended up having to scrape some of the cheese off. The waitress took our plates and saw that most of one pizza was left. She didn't ask us how our meal was. We asked for the bill, paid and left. Service from the waitress wasn't good and we didn't feel welcomed by her when we walked in. Wouldn't go back to try it again and wouldn't recommend. This restaurant looks really nice but the pizzas were not. Please also be aware if you needed to use one that there are no sanitary bins in the ladies!

Good place with good views. Service could be a but improved including cleanliness, otherwise, a very good place to eat. Good variety on the menu and great taste as well. Enjoy food while sitting outdoors or indoors with good views of water and boats. Pizza is recommended. Served very hot. Not easy to find parking.

After arriving in Oban in the early evening (6:30ish), we needed dinner, didn't have reservations anywhere, and didn't want a long, drawn-out affair. Italian sounded good so we found Piazza down on the Oban waterfront. Even without a booking, we were seated fairly quickly upstairs at a table for two. Service was spotty and not that friendly. One guy seemed to be managing the entire upstairs dining room, which is fairly large. My husband ordered a beer which should've come out quickly to be enjoyed before the meal arrived. There seemed to be some confusion between the dining room manager and the servers who brought food up. They didn't know where orders went so sometimes the food or drinks sat there until the manager could serve them. Not sure why the servers didn't just bring things on to the right table? The food was okay - not outstanding, but not bad either. Another odd thing that happened was that, as we were eating, the dining room manager started rearranging tables. He moved an empty two-top table and slid it right up next to our table, added chairs, and then proceeded to set the table for the next guests. We were trying to eat and talk, but he was working there within inches of us. Strange. We thought they might even seat guests there since the place was so busy, but thankfully the table remained empty. Piazza isn't bad, but don't go and expect fine dining or exceptional service. If ever in Oban again, we would not go back.

Van tevoren gereserveerd bij Piazza. Toen we aan de tafel zaten werd nog even gemeld dat we 1 uur en een kwartier de tijd hadden want de tafel was daarna weer gereserveerd voor een ander. Jammer dat zoiets niet al aan de telefoon benoemd wordt. Het eten was prima en de locatie erg mooi. Het enthousiasme van de serveersters/serveerders verschilde. Er is geen 1x bij ons gevraagd of alles naar wens was. Wij zouden de volgende keer een andere plek uitkiezen om te eten.

Good location on the Oban seafront, friendly staff and nice atmosphere. But the food NO, pizza not very nice looking, vegetable starter with fake dried tomatoes, they were just crushed tomatoes, sweet and sour onion with an unpleasant taste, artichoke can pass. Penne all'arrabbiata soft and extremely spicy. NO!!! Locale situato in buona posizione sul lungo mare di Oban, staff cordiale e ambiente carino. Ma il cibo NO, pizza di aspetto poco gradevole, antipasto di verdure con pomodori secchi finti, erano semplici pomodori schiacciato, cipolla in agrodolce dal sapore poco piacevole, carciofo può passare. Penne all arrabbiata molli ed estremamente piccanti. NO!!!

Great Italian food right next to Oban Harbour.

We came in around 6pm on a week day as a family of four. The genteleman at the door kindly led the way upstairs where we could enjoy the beautiful view. Hospitality spotless. We ordered soups, pizza, pasta and a burger. While we waited for our orders the place became very noisy, more than lively which for the long run became bothersome. The pizza was really hard to cut, the size smaller than what we would expect. One of the pasta was hard to rate, wasn't tasteful, the chicken instead of the panko bread crumbs has regular crumbs etc... Overall we were not impressed, for the price they ask for the meal we expected so much better. Be mindful of these, who knows maybe you will like it.

Family of six, walked in without a reservation, we only had to wait ten minutes to be seated. Nice atmosphere, cracking views across the harbour, service friendly. The food was excellent, we enjoyed our mains and desert. The menu prices were reasonable, certainly value for money, their price point matched the quality they were serving. Empty plates all round.

Upon arrival, we nearly lost our table as another couple who had also booked arrived early, we had arrived on time, but after some time, they decided to wait. We had a nice table overlooking the Quay. Initially the staff were quite attentive and we were able to order quite quickly. However we waited 40 minutes for our meal, given that we only ordered two pizzas. The capricciosa was small in size, the base was quite hard, dry, and tough and appeared pre made. There wasn't much ham on the pizza, and the consistency of the cheese had lost its gooeyness and had the appearance that it had dried out under a heat lamp. The quattro formaggi was exactly the same basewise and in terms of having dried out a bit and only had 3 small little fingernail sized pieces of gorgonzola on it. Again, the pizza was quite small in size. We asked for olive oil to drizzle over the pizzas, and a vinegar bottle containing a very pale thin yellow liquid was brought to the table. When tried, it did not taste or have the consistency of olive oil, so we did not use it. Once we were served our mains, the waitress started to lose interest and we had to chase the bill and then further chase payment. The restaurant was busy with people waiting to get in, but the staff seemed overwhelmed with the demand and had no sense they could make things easier for themselves by taking payment a bit quicker. The location of the restaurant is good but in terms of interior decor it's nothing special and a bit grey with nothing linking it to its environment ie a harbour. It was a bit corporate. We wouldn't return and after having been looking forward to a pizza during our holiday, it was very disappointing.

Ordered a takeaway, food was shocking. Calzone was mostly dough, small portion and tasteless. Ordered an adults cheesy pasta for two year old daughter thinking there's plenty to go round but again the portion size let them down. Wish we just went to Tesco down the road and bought ready meals which would be tastier than what was given to us last night. 5 of us ate and no one could say at the end of the meal that is was enjoyable. Every meal was tasteless and mundane. Worse Italian I've been too.

The minute steak was really good and the pizza too. The Dessert was delicious i had waffle con gelato. I really recommend this place.

Waited 30 minutes in the cold and rain for a “you don’t have a reservation? It’s not going to be possible! » when there is a queue outside, you warn! It’s the least we could do, we wouldn’t have waited especially for pizzas in Scotland… So we ate at the ice-cream Burger, it’s cheap and it does the job.

Good location for water views and appeared to be a popular spot. We ordered 2 pizzas. To be honest, the quality wasn't great. Crust was dry, topping very sparse and very oily. The base felt like a frozen supermarket pizza. Am wishing I'd taken a photo to share with this review because the pizza didn't at all resemble what others have shared.

Really friendly relaxed atmosphere.

It just wasn't that great. The wait staff was all very nice, but our table wasn't ready for our reservation time. When we were seated, it was next to the window with the lovely main street and water view. But we couldn't enjoy it at all. The full restaurant has no sound absorption whatsoever. The noise was unlike I've ever heard in a restaurant before - sounded more like the front line of a war. We all enjoyed our food but all agreed that the portion size was too small. I looked around while we were leaving and noted that every single plate we passed was licked clean; an indication that it was good but that the food ended before the person was satisfied. We ordered mozzarella sticks, bruchetta, Alfredo, the one with anchovies, salmon mushroom Alfredo, and meatball marinara. The only disappointment was the sauce with the mozzarella sticks. It was a chili sauce rather than marinara and we found that to be weird. In our opinion the quality of the food did not make up for the small portion side and the awful atmosphere. We ended up ordering a pizza to go because my kids were still very hungry.

Italian restaurant with poor quality food. The staff looked tired. Bread is low quality baked goods. Salad was not tasty. Pasta bolognaise…sauce was floating in oily water (reheated?), the taste wasn't really that great either. Wines tasted were of poor quality. The restaurant offers a nice view and that's about it.

The pizza is absolutely not recommended! It is extremely small and there was more crust than toppings on the pizza. Also very greasy. Frozen pizza would have tasted better. To start we should sit at the bar. After a few minutes we were finally brought to a table. Please note that several tables were free and without reservation markings. We got dirty dishes... The only positive thing to mention is the ambience and the great view!

I'm not one for writing bad reviews as I work in the hospitality trade plus rarely get a bad experience in restaurants, I know that we are only human and can make mistakes but if you are not going to put the same amount of effort in to a meal as you do when you start your shift to when the kitchen is "Closing in 5 minutes" then but I'm sorry you shouldn't be allowing your front of house staff to take orders 5 minutes before closing since the chefs left before we even had our meal infront of us...So we got sat down outside where we picked waited up to 3/5 minutes for a menu hurried on to order so i chosen to have the beef burger which was a bit on the greasy side but was edible, Our little boy had some chips due to not being offered a kids menu, my partner chosen to have the Spaghetti bolognese which looked to be flung together in a greasy tomato water barely edible tasted better microwave Spaghetti bolognese....Service we were not asked once how our meal was up until we were finished when the lovely chap eventually appeared so we got the bill while this lovely chap was giving us the bill may I add thank you for the kind gesture of taking one of the meals off the bill I appreciate that but what I didn't appreciate was when giving us the bill was taking it upon yourself to read my partners messages on her phone to our friend who recommend and said how lovely you restaurant was along with myself reading the reviews...we are extremely disappointed with the food and service but I would like to thank tesco who saved the day with a meal deal for our long journey back home *Spaghetti bolognese in the pictures below*

Arrived at this restaurant at 2.55pm and was promptly sat outside which we chose. To then be told "kitchen closes at 3pm so if you just want to give me the order quickly" we werent given menus for at least 3 minutes after this. So quickly scanned the menu and i decided upon spaghetti bolognes my parter got a cheese burger. We had to order a side of chips for my son as no child menu available or offered if they do have one!. Food arrived almost 10minutes later. And i could tell straight away this spaghetti wasnt anything like the reviews. Mine sat in a bowl of greasy, watery sauce. The mince was mushy and lacked that rich sauce youd expect. Not once during thr meal did anyone come to ask if anything was needed/everything okay. Upon the waiter spotting us looking around rather helplessly he came over and asked "all good for you?" To which i replied unfortunately not and explained to how the spag bol was sat in water and he replied "if you didnt like it i cant do anything if you dont tell me and kitchen is closed so i cant get anything else for you" i explained how I didn't want another meal and how im disappointed in yhe meal not that I just "didnt like it". My friend had recommended this place so naturally as one does i sent them a message including the picture ill include on here. The waiter arrived with the bill and infomed us he had removed the spaghetti from the bill. I had placed my phone upon the table put of curiosity while the waiter had arrived back to engage in conversation. To which it became apparent that the waiter took it upon himself to READ my personal message which was on my phone and began saying "oh youve already wrote bad things" . Then backtracked as he noticed i was shocked hed read my phone. Between me and my partner we have worked in the busy restaurant industry for almost 10 years and i would never expose any customers to this type of behaviour.

We had a lovely meal, they cater for coeliacs, gluten free pizza and pasta is available and they even made us a GF garlic bread pizza base. Dogs are allowed in the outside seating area and they had a water bowl.

We were served by Rohit This was an extremely unpleasant experience. As soon as We entered the restaurant, he said kitchen closes within 10min, which is fine. We ordered food and asked some questions about the beer, he pounced on us and said you are really rude!???? Infact the whole time his behaviour was extremely rude and he even pointed his hand and fingers towards me while talking. Very argumentative, unprofessional behaviour. When I asked his name, he asked my name and threatened that he wont serve the food to me if I do not tell my name. The food was excellent but his behaviour was very bad! In the end he said that he is not threatened by any reviewed!!!! This did not end here He literally followed me around 400 mts to say “ you are pathetic and he is here for so long, this is what Im teaching to my kids”!!!! Guess he needs a psych help, I couldnt say much! Total harassment!

We visited here as a group of four. We were greeted by a lovely gentleman who appeared to be a manger. The overall setting was lovely especially when we were seated at a table with a sea view. We were greeted at our table by Thomas who provided us with exceptional service throughout. He couldn't do enough for us and we loved his banter. We couldn't have been more grateful for the service we received from Thomas. A great asset to the team. Our group ordered pizza and pasta dishes along with starters. All thw food was lovely and speedy. We would 100% recommend visiting here you won't be disappointed.

Kind and efficient service, lovely bayside view, and good classic thin crust pizza! We were pleasantly surprised as we walked in on a busy Friday evening without a booking and got a table within minutes. Our order was taken shortly, the drinks arrived swiftly, and our pizzas soon after. My husband enjoyed his pizza Diavola with extra fresh chillis and Nduja sausage while I was very satisfied with my choice of the Scorzesse pizza with mushrooms and smoked salmon. Affordable prices and all in all a great experience!

Excellent Italian food! We got the linguini, chicken sandwich and the Chiete pizza and they were all delicious. The cinnamon waffle was my favourite. The service was very quick and the food was hot and fresh. I would definitely go here again.

Really nice food, well worth the money

Great food and service, the pizza and fish were delicious and the staff so accommodating. Make sure you check the opening times as they do close between lunch and dinner service and we almost missed out 😊 the view is also spectacular from the tables!
