I’m very fussy with pizza I must admit, it has to be proper authentic Italian standard. From the description of the ingredients on the menu I thought, this should be good and the pizzas we had for takeaway were amazing, I was so impressed. The prosciutto, mushroom, olive pizza was excellent - lots of flavour and a classic Italian pizza. The BBQ pulled pork pizza was something different and had the most delicious sauce, with a tiny bit of heat. Came to about £30 for the two, fine for that quality. Service was great. People dining in the restaurant when I picked up seemed to really enjoy their dinner too. What a gem of a pizza place in Helensburgh! They clearly put love and care into the quality of the pizzas and it shows. 100% recommend.

Service was brilliant, quick and efficient. We ordered a rosemary & garlic foccacia to begin. Which was very tasty! For main we ordered a half pizza and half pasta. Pizza was amazing, however the mac a cheese was disappointing. It was said to be oven baked but didn’t look it, the taste was mediocre. Overall we had a good experience due to lovely service and good pizza. The macaroni was the only thing that was disappointing. This won’t stop us returning but we will order something else from the extensive menu.

I’m still reeling that we were charged £2 for sharing a pizza and £2 for sharing a pasta dish!? We should have ordered a pizza and pasta dish and portioned it out ourselves!! The waitress was hasty and difficult to understand, she’d ask you a question and answer it herself….eg “is everything alright? Good, good “ before we could say anything. There were 3 tables with patrons, I can see why!!

If you’re in Helensburgh and like pizza you’ll leave Padrone LOVING pizza - restaurant is a must visit! We’re there a lot!

Portions are great. Food was delicious. Waiting staff are very attentive and welcoming. Been a few times now and will continue to come back.

Amazing wood fire oven pizzas, best in the area without a doubt! Really friendly staff and great atmosphere. Would highly recommend.

Fantastic pizza and a good selection of beers. It was the staff that made this place though; we couldn't have felt more welcome.

Excellent, very clean place, well decorated and maintained, staff were polite and food was awesome. No complaints, 2 starters, 2 mains with a garlic bread side and 2 desserts came out to £86 which I don't think is bad at all.

Incredible pizza! Can't recommend the rosemary garlic cheese flatbread enough.

A great visit to Padrone Pizza- we were a big group and nothing was too much for Stuart and his team. Kids Pizza's were giant, fantastic choice and everything was super. All satisfied. Well Done.

Nice place. Staff are lovely, welcoming and friendly. Food was nice, straight up Italian classics. A bit cold in afternoon as its a big building but that's life.

I love carbonarra and I ask my partner to try it as I heard good reviews but how wrong was i. Carbonarra was as dry as a bone and no garlic. Carbonarra does not get cream but it needs egg yolk for the silky creamy flavour. I promise I'll not be back.

First off, the atmosphere is quite nice & homely; akin to a Frankie & Benny’s. The pizza is Neapolitan style; and quite tasty. The service however was pretty shockingly bad. My partner’s cocktail was spilled on the table; and she wasn’t offered a fresh one (nor did they clean the spillage). I was given a pint of tennents (instead of the shandy that I ordered). I had the pint replaced, but when the bill came I was charged for a full pint of tennents. The waitress (presumably the manager) insisted that it was normal across hospitality to charge the same price for a pint as for a shandy. I know this to be untrue. The staff seem to predominantly consist of 18-20 year olds; which suggests they want to pay their staff as little as possible. Bit of a red flag. If just one of these mistakes had occurred, we would’ve been quite satisfied (I rarely feel compelled to leave a negative review); but the build-up of everything left a bad taste in our mouths.

Edit: I took my family to lunch on the 29th of August and noticed a plummet in the standards of the food. The macaroni was Cleary microwave reheated and tasted no different from the Mcintosh macaroni ready meal from the Co-op! Very different from the 'Oven baked in a three cheese sauce' dish advertised on their menue. The calamari was rock solid and sat in a soaking puddle of condensation, again, likely from being reheated in the microwave. My brother commented ' the best thing about the meal was the boundaberg ginger beer'. Frankly I was embarrassed because I always raved about the food and the service. I raised my concern to a member of staff who looked at me awkwardly but still proceeded to charge me for the 2 servings of reheated macaronic and soggy calamari... I've been here a couple of times on a work night out and even when busy the service and quality of food is up there! I've also had to make quick pit stops while working and they can knock out a wood fired pizza infront of you in less than 10 minutes! Staff are friendly and down to earth aswell. It doesn't break the bank either and sometimes they have a deal on 2 courses

On balance one star is all we can give our experience. The good: 1. Waitress was professional, pleasant and very apologetic for slow service. 2. Waitress took responsibility and worked to resolve the issues we experienced. 3. Pizzas did taste good when we eventually received them. 4. We asked and they agreed to give us discount due to poor experience we received. The bad: 1. Took over 1 hour 30 minutes to receive our pizzas that apparently took only 2 minutes to cook. 2. Three other tables all served pizzas before us despite the fact they arrived in the restaurant after us. 3. We were originally advised that the reason for the delay was due to us ordering starters. We only ordered one portion of mozzarella sticks which arrived within 5 mins of the order going in so unsure why that held up the 2 minute to cook pizzas for 1 hour 30 mins. 4. Manager never spoke to us about the issues experienced and left it to the waitress.

£14.95 for a very modest portion of Mac and cheese. £2.00 for a bottle of tonic. £17.45 for a (good size) portion of linguine. Service not the fastest.

Came two nights on the run, last night (when the boss was in ) food took a while but was lovely. Tonight, no boss and food microwaved (but not even properly). Service staff tried their best but when the lazy chef is in they are fighting an uphill battle. Such a shame as I had told so many people how nice it was, but tomorrow I will ensure that that is corrected.

Pizza and pasta were first class. Price wise, it was competitively priced. The Jimmy style, half pizza, and half pasta incurred a surcharge of £2 each. Next time, I would probably just buy a full pizza and a full pasta dish and save the £4.

Best pizza unless you are in Italy

Delicious pizza, sound beer, great service. Casual and relaxed. Sat near the door but we were seated at a better table towards the back of the establishment. Friendly and reasonable. As pizza should be.

Highly Recommended! Incredibly nice staff who really care that you as a customer are satisfied. Food is very, very tasty (for us the best Italian food we have ever eaten). And the restaurant looks very modern and stylish from the inside. So if you ever come to Helensburgh and are looking for a delicious meal, you're in good hands here.

Stuart was unbelievable friendly and welcoming. His service is always top notch and it makes the experience. As usual the food was great, Stuart’s coffee making skills are better than some of the big chains. Will definitely be back to get service with a smile and banter from Stuart soon.

Nice vibe to the place overall with friendly staff. The spaghetti bolognase was very tasty and came in a generous portion, but I realised after ordering that I really should have gone for one of their speciality pizzas. Oh well, I'll just need to come back. Well worth a visit.

Food was awfull macaroni was tasteless no cheese on it was dry chips were full off green bits garlic bread was burnt black the pizza was tasteless also our table was broken asked to be moved said they would fix it by putting a napkin under it tables were filthy everything was sticking to it bowls were brown and looked dirty food served on a dirty wooden block

Dough disaster avoided! Managed to get some delicious dough from the team to support some home cooking after a delivery didn't arrive in time - saviours! Great service. Always delicious pizza here too

I found quite a large fly in the food, server didn’t even seam surprised when I told him. Give them they're dew and asked for a new one, new one came out and was awful just pure oil, it’s a shame as I visit a lot with work and it’s always been nice but I will not be visiting again.

I have ate here in the past but the quality of food diminished considerably. Except the base, nothing about that pizza was nice. The toppings weren't the best, it said roasted peppers but they were raw julienne peppers, the centre of the pizza was soggy. All these for £17. The calamari were frozen. The only nice thing was the prawn sauce (tomato sauce with pancetta). We will not return!

Nice decor, good pizzas, pleasant and helpful staff. Not busy. Sat in a booth near the door so a bit cold each time it opened but didn't know till leaving more seating at the back round a corner where it was busier and warmer. If I go again will sit there.

Went there yesterday for lunch Pizzas x2 not good Thick dough base and the filling part collapses when you try to pick up. I’ve been here a few times and the pizzas were excellent. Don’t know what’s gone wrong but something has. Service was good that’s about all.

Very poor service, had to move tables before meal was served as a larger group were waiting on tables together! Waited over an hour for our meal, pizzas were nice but pasta dishes were a sloppy tasteless mess, ordered drinks which never arrived, will not ever return!!!

I have ordered twice and on both the occasions they have got the order wrong. Second time we got all the way home (10 miles away) and then realized that both pizzas were not what we ordered! They had added prawns and beef which I can’t eat (allergic to prawns). I have been trying to call them but their phone is probably disconnected as it’s been busy from the past half an hour. Never again with them !

Thoroughly enjoyed food & drinks. Last minute visit on a Sunday evening, shared Calamari & Mussel starters, followed by Pepperoni Pizza. Food was great, Mussels especially, the best I’ve had in some time. Would return again if in the area. 100% recommend. Nicely furnished cosy...

My favourite Italian restaurant.

I love eating in Padrone. The staff are always friendly and attentive and the food is always fantastic. Something I really appreciate about it is the lack of pretension - they're serving authentic Italian food in a relaxed atmosphere. I never feel rushed and I enjoy every visit.

Authentic Italian menu with very generous portions. Mozzarella Sticks are huge. The Pizza was very nice too, with Chilli and Extra Virgin Olive Oil. It’s a nice comfortable restaurant.

If I could give 0 stars I would. This was one of the worst takeaways I have ever had. Been to Padrones a few times in the past and has been good so was really disappointed on this occasion. The lasagnas we ordered were very small and looked reheated, didn't taste nice at all. Only good thing was the Arrabiata sauce. Would not go back here again.

Visited with family. Daughter chose this because of previous visits. Carbonara was awful, pasta was poor. Service was bad. Staff standing on their mobile phones. This place felt like they did not care about the customer, just get them to eat and leave. My daughter...

Great pizza and menu. Warm hospitality and wonderful atmosphere. We were visiting Helensburgh, couldn't help but enjoyed both our dinners at Padrone as the food were simply beautiful.

I came with my family for a birthday dinner, the food was exceptional and Matthew our server went above and beyond you don’t come across this level of service that often but this one deserves a RAISE!!!! Thank you very much, you are fab!

Eaten here twice this week. Both times excellent service, fast and friendly, great quality food both for meat eaters, veggies and vegan. Pizza and pasta fantastic! Good value prices. Would recommend. Book by phone rather than app - seems to work better.

Very good pizza, lots of choices, very good GF crust available. Half decent wine list, good friendly service. Just wish they’d do something about the banging door from the back kitchen. Very annoying!

Really enjoyed our seafood starters and meat or vegetarian pizzas. Food was pretty slow to arrive on this occasion though. Visited Sunday evening.

Service wasn't great , we had soup, too much salt, pizza was to doughy ,not great to be honest. Maybe caught them on a bad day .

Food was ok but was horrified to notice how dusty the light shades above the tables were (more than one days dust) Think the management need to have a word with their cleaning staff

Risotto is not one, they don't know what it is in an Italian restaurant... Plus it was yellow rice cooked in water.

The food was amazing! Mussels and pasta... However, there were some things in the service missing, namely: appetizer and main dish at the same time, no bread or cheese on table. I think this may be about the country and not the restaurant itself (that's why 4 and not 3 stars). Again, the food was much more delicious than expected!

The pizza wasn't good, the base was too thick and under-cooked, it was edible but I would definitely of enjoyed a frozen supermarket pizza at home much more,. The guy with the tattoo on his arm had a really terrible attitude, quite literally the worst...

We got a table outside and sat for over 20 minutes. No one came to take our drinks order or even acknowledged us in anyway. The 2 tables next to us arrived after we did and they received their drinks. We finally just left. We understand that they were busy but even a simple acknowledgement.

Very good pizza and arrabiata pasta this evening. The pizzeria is along the waterfront. Very nice place and nice servers
