Marmaris Kebab House Oban in Argyll & Bute

Ordered a munchie box and got the worse thing I’ve ever seen. Received an un-advertised pizza base in the munchie box underneath 2x pieces chicken pakora and 2x pieces veg pakora both of which were greasy, hard and just unedible. Chips average, donner meat was a joke and unbelievably greasy. Not worth £15.

We have tried every kebab in oban . This is 100% the best one In town. Plenty of salad with the donner kebab. The other takeaways just don't give you the salad that it should come with. Try it yourselves you won't be disappointed. 😁

Great late night food spot! Big portions & incredibly tasty. We each got kebabs and they were incredible.

One of the worst lamb donners I've had. You are presented with a hot mess that is impossible to eat on the go.

Decent kebab. Went for chicken wrap. Eaten straight away. Pita instead of tortilla is a massive plus.

If you have tried Doner kebab elsewhere, especially in Germany or Turkey, certainly you should lower your expectations here. I am just surprised about the pita. The pictures clearly show what I got as Doner pita.

My son wanted pasta but all the restaurants were already closed, so we decided to get kebab but we saw they also offer pasta. He got the chicken and bacon pasta, a safe choice, what could go wrong... It was fantastic. He loves pasta and eats it everywhere we go, and he said that this was one of the best pasta dishes he'd ever had. I had to try it too because of his praise and because the smell was very enticing and indeed it was just a perfect balance of spices, sauce, and meat. The service was also fast and friendly. Highly recommend!

We went here for pizza as we were staying at Oban holiday park I can honestly say this pizza was amazing so fresh and tasty would highly recommend.

I came here 6 years ago and never forgot how good that kebab was… I visited again today an was greeted kindly, food came as quick as good food comes! Cooked to perfection, I had the mixed kebab an finished it in one sitting, was 10 out of 10 The garlic sauce was Devine and the chilli sauce was next level Like a super tasty spices pizza sauce…. Exceptionally good Only place to go for me !

Had the veggie calzone which was huge, I gave half to my friend. Another of our party had the chicken shish and said it was the best they had had. The staff were ace, fun and very friendly, highly recommend the place 😁

I had the Calzone which was huge and delicious. It came with a beautiful salad and 2 sauces. The salad dressing was to die for. Im not sure if its the owner but the chap who served us was hilarious and full of great banter. He and his food have added to our wonderful stay in Oban. Highly recommend the food and the bants 😁

Delivery guy was lovely. Ordered as we are staying in Oban for my birthday. I've honestly never had a worse take away. The garlic bread was a dry pizza base with maybe a sliver of garlic on it (maybe). The chips were stale and had no salt or vinegar on as ordered. Burger wasn't too bad but was just put off completely by this point. Partner ordered a hoagie which was 'ok' but he pulled it apart and only really ate the wrap. Vegetable pakora was disgusting, looked more like falafel. Would not order again.

Working out at Glensanda, we spend a bit of time in and out of Oban. I haven't been to Oban yet without visiting Marmaris. We were staying out at the Oyster Inn and got food delivered, came very quickly, and was piping hot. Food is fresh and delicious. I'll be back many times in the future. Bravo

I ordered donner kebab Adkin’s for extra chilli sauce it would have been 5 stars if I got what I wanted very dry but tasted nice but must listen to customers what they want very disappointed

Great food and service they have a good selection of choices and rapid service well serves the purpose of visit

They provide halal meat. There are also so many choices.

Got marmaris for a treat for sons birthday have to say all the family enjoyed it thank you empty boxes all round enjoyed personalizing my pizza

My second visit to Oban and first stop Marmaris. Food was amazing again, kebab was perfect, fresh and tasty. I had enjoyed the pickled jalapeño the last time so asked for extra, was given a wee box full and no extra charge. I'd consider moving to Oban just for the food here. Perfect guys, keep doing what your doing!

Can I honestly say I've been a chef for over 25 yrs I can honestly say the chicken pakora is one of the best I've ever tasted keep up the good work boys

The food was cheap and arrived fast, but no more than an hour later, I was suffering from food poisoning!

Decent donner kebab. Came with a lemon 🍋 one of my five-a-day. I was drunk though so that might have biased my opinion.

After 3 days of hard mountain walking on Mull I returned on the late ferry and looked for somewhere for a good meal in Oban. So glad I landed on this place; at first I was worried they might be a bit of a jack of all trades by the menu, but the pizza I chose - ham and chicken with pineapple - was quite simply the best I have ever had! Absolutely lush, fresh, piping hot, generous on cheese, toppings and everything. For under £10, the most amazing value. Puts Domino's to shame.

Once of the best wraps I ever had in my life. Coming to quality wise it’s more enough for 2 people and finally if you make the wraps with better naan’s then it’s a perfect combo.

Worst lamb kebab I ever had. The bread was of low quality, the meat didn't taste good and there were no vegetables added to the kebab. What a ripp off for 7.50 pounds. And you can only pay cash, so it would not surprise me if this is just a money laundering fraudster company pretending to serve food. Avoid!

Delicious chicken wrap which was very filling. Clean premises and staff, fresh salad. Highly recommended for an easy tea.

Omg Lamb Shish Calzone is worth travelling from Oz to try out. Outstanding, I just wish I had more time in Oban to check out the other options.

Only take cash, didn't see a sign about that. The shisleek kebab was expensive, £13, and the reheated lamb was tough and tasteless.

I had a disappointing experience at Marmaris Kebab House. The food quality was poor, the staff behavior was subpar, they only accepted cash payments, and there was no seating space. I would not recommend this restaurant for a satisfying Turkish dining experience.

I can't understand the good reviews. We took kebab once and dürüm once for 7.50 pounds (absolute tourist rip-off) but unfortunately we fell for it. The meat we apparently had was lamb. That was the worst kebab/dürüm we've ever had. If it hadn't cost 7.50 we would have thrown it away after the first bite

I went this place while I visited Oban , they have such a great food selection, and it’s absolutely one of the best kebabs I ever had , Highly recommended for anyone who is visiting Oban!

Ordered the Kofte Kebab. Good amount of meat with fresh salad and pitta bread. Thoroughly enjoyed eating it, sat in my car looking at the sea and nearby hills and Isles. Recommended.

Me and my daughter were visiting some friends who are in North Connel on holiday. We decided to get a takeaway and finally decided on Marmaris. What an awesome decision that was. Food arrived within half an hour of ordering and arrived piping hot 🔥. The food was all of the highest quality and I would highly recommend Marmaris to anyone in the Oban area. If we come back here I will definitely be paying a visit to Marmaris. A++++++++++

I was down in Oban for the night on my way to work, looked about reviews for a decent takeaway and all routes pointed me here. Wow, didn't disappoint. I had a chicken sheesh and chicken pakora. So fresh and tasty. I'm down again for an overnighter shortly and I will be straight back. AMAZING

was eating my cheese and chips when saw somthing black and thought maybe it was a burnt chip to find it was a fly 🤢

We decided to try Marmaris on our last night in Oban and were disappointed that we hadn’t tried it earlier!! The food was delicious and as good as any takeout we’ve had. The seafood pizza was probably the best I’ve tasted .. anywhere !! I would highly recommend it ., my wife had the chicken shish and again very delicious and the chicken was as tender as it could be and lots of fresh salad.. exceptional food!

Cleanest & freshest kebab takeaway I've ever been it. The kebab wrap is massive & brilliant. Pizza's are great as well. All the staff are really friendly too.

There's kebab /pizza/ burger take aways.... Then there's Marmaris ! I've been to Italy,Turkey & USA and not enjoyed the pizza nor kebabs as tastey as from here! However their burgers are to die for!!, juicy, made from clearly top quality meat Cooked to perfection!!... There are a few other similar restaurants and take aways in Oban but tbh none were even got close to this one. Needless to say... Highly recommend.

I would have liked to eat in the restaurant, had it not been for the employee’s bad behavior, as he refused to ask questions, refused to give me a shout, and referred me to another employee, then came again to try to provoke me.

Friendly staff, good portions at a reasonable price. Place was a little slow in the middle of the afternoon, but the staff picked up my American accent and we had a good conversation. Had a lamb donor kebab with everything and they could barely close the container. Fries were hot and fresh. Would definitely go back!

Truly authentic Turkish cuisine. Called in there this evening and ordered 4 chicken shish kebabs with side orders of fries. Best kebab I have had for years. Totally recommend this establishment and very clean well run and above all friendly.

Visited here & had a vegetarian pizza and an Angus cheeseburger. Best takeaway I've had in ages. Food was very tasty and cooked to perfection. Generous helpings and a decent price too. Staff were mega busy but still friendly & polite. Definitely be back next time I'm in Oban :)

Asked for a BBQ chicken pizza, not on the menu but they made one for me on request and it was perfect! The munchy box was great value and also delicious, we couldn't even finish it as we were so full! Delivery was within the eta with great service, Thanks so much for a great meal! We will be back👍

I had a chicken shashlik kebab and partner had a lamb shish kebab. Absolutely delicious with plenty of chicken and lamb. Best kebab I've had.

Got a delivery time of 40 minutes and it was here within 20. The kebabs are delicious and worth every penny.The best kebab house in town 😍 blows chilli grillz and kebabish out of the water. Can't wait to order again, thank you.

It's been so long since I've had Kebab meat where you could actually taste the Lamb, brillant friendly staff Amazing man 5 stars all other kebab shops are inferior and dont care about thier food quality its such a relief to get a placre like this in Oban PS (best Pizza in Argyll easy). the one star reviews are a pitiful attempt at sabotage of sone kind XD hahaha

Dreadful. Their motto is clearly "never mind the quality, feel the width". They even put pesto and melted cheese on Iskender.

Excellent service, the shop is lovely, clean and staff are friendly and the food gorgeous, so fresh and full of flavor.

Visited here the first day they opened with my daughter, my daughter had a pizza which was lovely and I had a burger which was actually really good. Sort of wish I'd had a kebab once I saw and smelt them being made for other people my mouth was watering :) Staff were friendly too will definitely eat here again

Finally a proper Turkish takeaway in Oban. Food was great, only improvement would be to provide naans as opposed to pitta bread, but thoroughly enjoyed the lamb kofta and chicken Shish!
