Zizzi in Glasgow City

Placed order before 4pm for 5:15pm delivery, arrived at 6:20pm. Garlic bread was dry & tasteless, crab arancini were tiny & cheesecake was the only thing that was hot, it was melted into mush! I could understand the delay if food was actually done right, awful all round! Would have done zero stars if possible!

Zizzi is the most heavenly pizza I've ever eaten. It was a short wait in a fancy environment for a 10/10 pizza. My server, Sada, was so good at his job I think I might have fallen in love with him. He won't accept my offers of marriage though, so I'm not sure what to do. Give me any tips to help me get together with Sada, the Zizzi server who stole my heart. He's so handsome I can't stop thinking. Oh sada I miss you dear...

Went to Zizzi for dinner for the first time. We asked the server if the meat was Halal and we were informed it was not. We went for the Vegetarian option. We ordered Mozzarella & Garlic Bombe, Roasted Aubergine Meatballs, Rustica Margarita and Rosemary and Salt Chips. When the starter arrived we called the server over and asked what it was and the server said it was pork meatballs. Put us right off the whole meal. We were not charged for the meal but thats beyond the point. There is a religious aspect involved here. Wont be going back again

Everything was all packaged in the same bag, so the drink was warm, and the cheesecake which should have been cold was completely melted. packaging cold and hot things separately would be an improvement.

While the food at this restaurant was genuinely enjoyable, the overall experience was soured by the lack of hospitality from the staff. The dishes were well-prepared, flavorful, and clearly crafted with care, but unfortunately, the service didn’t match the quality of the cuisine. From the moment we arrived, we felt unwelcomed. The staff were unfriendly and inattentive, making it difficult to feel comfortable throughout the meal. Simple courtesies, like a warm greeting or a helpful attitude, were missing, which left us with a disappointing impression. It’s a shame, because the food alone is worth recommending, but the poor customer service would make me hesitate to return. A little warmth and attentiveness from the staff would go a long way in improving the overall dining experience.

We went for a sort of date dinner (we've been together forever but y'know!) before going to the cinema, thinking that over an hour & a half would be more than ample time to dine given the restaurant is downstairs from the cinema. We'd seen their 3 course offer before, so we skipped lunch & looked forward to a feeding! Big mistake. The service was so slow that we ended up having to ask what was typically the quickest thing to be cooked and served?! The time was basically being swallowed bit by bit! First of all, we waited for a noticeably long time to get seated - to the point we started looking around at the other restaurants & started a count-down! This was Sunday dinner time, but the place wasn't that busy with lots of empty tables. We were given the choice of inside or out & as it was a cold night in Glasgow, even though they're inside the shopping mall, we went for inside but this appeared to make little difference as we were seated in a thoroughfare type area, near the toilets & whenever anyone walked by, which was very frequently, they seemed to carry an arctic wind with them! We should have asked to be moved, so that's on us, but maybe they should rethink the layout of their tables? We waited ages to order our drinks and again started a count-down and began considering fast food options nearby! If we didn't have the cinema booked & weren't on so tight a schedule by this point, we'd definitely have left & we were ready to go to the nearby Five Guys when the colleague arrived. Annoyingly, I'd even tried to do part of the work myself and order by scanning the QR code however it didn't recognise 9 as a valid table number?! So we ordered drinks and chose our pizzas but it was suggested we order pasta if we were in a hurry which, by now, we were. So we quickly changed our minds whilst ordering; I opted for the spicy chicken & my partner chose the bolognese. The meals did arrive relatively quickly, but they were not good. My pasta was tasteless, and my partner's meal was so water- logged it was practically soup! A check on us at the table would've given the chance to raise the issue but the portions were so small that we'd eaten within 5-10 minutes! So by the time she came by, presumably to check on us, we were looking for the bill! The reason I'm not giving one star for this review is that the colleague who dealt with us took on board the feedback at the table and wrote off the bill. We ate what we were given as we were hungry and had limited time to go elsewhere, but as we had stayed and ate, we were prepared to pay - even though the price vs potion size was ridiculous. Again, I had no time to debate the issue, so I was going to accept this as a bad experience to be learned from. They explained, however, that the chef was new and understood our points. So they're getting their 3 stars for their, albeit eventual, customer service. We will probably give the place another chance; it's never been the best Italian restaurant in town, but you could do far worse. Ultimately, the lesson learned for us: never try and do dinner on a timescale unless you have a booking & pre-order if you can!

I went for lunch with family. The staff were all very friendly. The customer service was great and food was beautiful. Would highly recommend.

We wondered why Toni Macaroni next door was pretty much full and Zizzi was almost empty. Now we know why. We ordered 2 pizzas which were the worst pizzas we have ever eaten. The bases were thin and made from a very messy dough and the cheese and toppings were almost non existent. I asked for my margherita without basil but the there was hardly any cheese on either of our pizzas. There were two waiters and people started flooding in (probably because Toni's next door was full). The two waiters were working really hard but they definitely need more Staff. Two tables across from us ordered prawns on hanging skewers and the prawns looked so insipid I really hope those customers didn't get undercooked prawns as they would have been really sick last night. £37 for 2 pizzas, 1 coke and 1 water - not bad value for money on a normal day however we felt this was an absolute rip off for such rubbish pizzas.

Good points: They take Tastecard and the staff were very helpful. Bad points: My wife’s Risotto was very wet and not very tasty. See dietry restrictions section below re my pizza.

Food is terribly overpriced. Pizza toppings were very sparse, lucky if there was one mushroom sliced on the entire thing…and at nearly a fiver for chips, we would have expected more than a tiny poke’s worth! Service was very good and waiters were friendly attentive.

Nicely located in Silverburn, Zizzi’s is well laid out internally and externally. Staff are attentive and friendly and the food on our visit was first class. My husband had calzone carne picante and I had casareccia pork and garlic meatballs. Clean plates all round. Worth a visit.

Food when brought was cold. Exchanged and brought new meal. Friend had finished by yime my meal was brought. Beef was very fatty and not pleasant to eat. Meal was not removed from bill despite complaining to server. Disappointing.

We had visited for lunch and decided to have a few starters and sides to share. We had my little 3 year old sister and we ordered a side of Mac and cheese and some garlic bread off of the main menu instead of the kids, she really liked them and we enjoyed the leftovers. Though our food came out promptly, it was a little lacklustre for the price. We did have a 30% voucher which is why we had chosen to go but I would not have paid the price for what we ordered. That is not to say we didn’t enjoy it, can’t go wrong with garlic bread and caramelised onion on top, very filling. Our servers were lovely but seemed a little run off their feet even with a small lunch rush, they could have used an extra pair of hands but were handling everything quite well.

We took our grandson out for lunch our lasagna came and it was frozen in the centre we asked for it to be heated this took around 3o minutes we had to eat our chips on their own as they would have been cold the time it took for the lasagna to come back my grandson had finished his food when it was meant to be a meal together no apology from staff and charged £78.60 for the worst food and customer service ever won’t be back and will warn friends to stay away . I had to rate this as one star to add the review but it is zero stars worst experience ever

I ordered my daughter the caramel brownie £7.95 it was tiny about 3.5cm squared would never order it again. It wasn't even worth half that price day light robbery the price does not reflect in the portion size. My advice do not order dessert from zizzi unless your sitting in and can get the portion your supposed to get. The pasta and garlic bread were fine

I had a wonderful experience at Zizzi's, thanks to the exceptional service from Sam and Mike, the manager. Despite the restaurant being extremely busy due to the public holiday, they both treated us with kindness and enthusiasm. Sam went above and beyond by offering to help pack our leftover pizza, a gesture that isn't very common. Mike was very helpful when I inquired about chicken strips, guiding me to similar options available. Their customer service made our dining experience memorable!

Called here without a reservation and there were no issues. Met by Nathan who was very friendly and attentive during our visit. He is a great ambassador for the company. Food was of a very high standard. Well done to the kitchen brigade for this. Always a great atmosphere here too. Will be back for sure.

Very poor food experience Mediocre pizza and pasta dishes.

Food wasn’t as good as the previous visit. Hoping it was just a little off day. It was ok - just last time it was much nicer and we got the same cheese fondue both times. Service was great - which interestingly was the opposite from the last time.

Went in for lunch ordered a Calzone pizza when it arrived the insides were barely warm so I brought it to the attention of the staff they took it away When it came back it was clear it had been microwaved as the centre now was incredibly hot and the rest a soggy mess. Needless to say it was left and not eaten and I asked for it to be taken away and made the staff member aware. I did receive an apology and was not charged for it however that was my first and certainly last visit to this plastic Italian.

We enjoyed the new pizza on the menu and. Calzone which was loaded with chicken and mushrooms. Really enjoyed it. Friendly service and good value especially as we got to use some Tesco club card points!

We had a reservation for 5. Initial impression was OK. Seated promptly and the server (neither overly or under-friendly) took our drinks order and then food order. Starters came quite quickly. 4 of of us had ordered 2 sharing platters but what came was 2 individual portions of something in a similar vein (fonduta) We hoped to get the attention of a server to ask if our order had been correct / taken correctly but they all looked very busy and we were keen not to disrupt what was a special evening organised by one of the party as a treat. Wee bit nervous at this point anticipating an overcharge on the bill so we looked up the menu online to check what we thought we'd ordered and took pics of what we were served in case there was an issue. No big deal but this kind of put a dampener on things early on. Mains came out before plates were cleared away so quite aclumsy transition and lots of arms moving things about awkwardly. All the food was fine - my own personal opinion was it was a bit overpriced for what it was. My daughter's ravioli was genuinely cold at the edges. Some of the other dishes went down well. Again we sat with our finished plates on the table while we waited and eventually my family decided to order desserts via the app. They came and again there was no room on the table because the main dishes took up all the room. This was the last interaction we had with staff. We paid via the app and left without further service. I didn't want to leave the table to speak to staff as I was being treated by family and didn't want to appear ungracious but I could tell they were a bit embarrassed at how underwhelming the meal out had gone. I think they chose this venue having had good experiences in the past. Our lasting impression of this one is somewhat different

I've never been to a Zizzi before so we looked at the menu beforehand and chose here. We had a starter, sharing pizza and side then a dessert each. 3 drinks and the total cost was £53. I felt it was great value for money, food was piping hot and fresh. We really enjoyed what we got and felt it was good value. The restaurant was a bit cold we had to put our jackets on halfway through our meal. Our server was lovely and very attentive to us. Would definitely return and have recommended this place to our friends.

When ordered we were provided a delivery time when the order was confirmed which was between 30-50 mins, during the processing of our order this later changed to 50- 80 mins and arrived at the 80 mins. The food was cold and had to be reheated and none of the food was up to the standard of what we would expect from Zizzi. Won’t be ordering take out again.

Have eaten here before, seems to have gone downhill. Food poor quality, small portions and not hot. Staff seems clueless. Restraint always cold. Avoid and eat at bread meets bread.

Been here 3 or 4 times previous and always been good but nothing this time. Place was freezing even inside the restaurant, staff must have seen this as people were sitting with their big jackets and scarves on. Not an enjoyable environment especially as it meant the food was cold before you finished. The table for 2 is too small for menu, glasses and food, if you have the rustic pizza the board is hanging off the edge giving you the fear of it falling off or knocking your glass off. The toppings on the pizza have been reduced in quantity/quality whilst the sauce and the extras in the pasta dishes are pretty scarce. Not even shrinkflation as the prices have gone up not stayed the same. Overall really grim and disappointing as really liked it here but given the above it is no longer good value, good food or good environment. Time to give somewhere else a try.

Delivery was over an hour late, but to be whole heartedly honest, the food was on a different level, due to its late arrival the calzone was reheated the next day, and boy was it tasty. Different level food if they could control the delivery times

I always enjoy a visit to Zizzi, great menu with lots of options. On my last visit a had a really tasty salmon and pesto risotto and Courgette fries which were very good. The desserts are usually the highlight though and their Salted Caramel brownie is brilliant, so fudgey and rich!

The food we started of with the garlic bread and balsamic onion and mozzarella, if you haven't tried this you absolutely must👌. I then had Strozzapretti Pesto Rosso which was also a winner. The service was good for what it was though they were understaffed, however the guy could have made his life a whole lot easier by pointing out that you can scan the QR code on your table card and place you food and drinks order through your phone, something to note if you are visiting you can also pay the bill thought your phone.

Toppings on the pizza were terrible, very sparse & they couldn't even cut it into slices for us. For the price they charge the food is ridiculous. Ordered large fries & they came it a tub which was luck if it was half full. Won't be back.

Whist on holiday in Ayrshire we met the Glasgow branch of our family for a get-together meal. Nine of us in total. We had a mixture of pizza, pasta vegetarian etc.It was quite late so the place was pretty quiet which meant that the service was quick and efficient.we all enjoyed the food and our server was friendly and efficient. Wagamama is normally our go to place at Silverburn , we’ll have to add Zizzi to the list.

Felt hungry while in Silverburn and called into this restaurant. Met Martin who showed us to our table. He was friendly and attentive at all times during our meal. He is a great person and a wonderful ambassador for the company. Calamari was excellent along with the Giant Prawn Linguine. A big shout also fir the kitchen brigade for the first class presentation of food. Menu is varied and caters for all tastes. Will be back for sure.

Food dreadful, brown tired lettuce in the chicken salad and Lasgne burnt and welded to the dish. Very pleasant girl serving but the food quality needs to improve substantially

On a lovely warm day we opted for a table in a booth outside the restaurant, good for people watching we thought. Once sat down looking more closely, the furniture and upholstery were really tatty, stained fabric and everything felt a bit sticky and soiled and there was a bit of a smell. I should have asked to move but all the outdoor seating looked similar and we didn’t want to sit indoors on a sunny afternoon. The food was good and the service was friendly and efficient, but the wiffy sticky booth was off putting. Renovation and deep cleaning required!

Spent a lovely afternoon with my daughter and son in law who I don't get to see very often as I live abroad. Food was so nice,service was ace lovely staff and really nice wine. Nothing was to much trouble.

Went here today for lunch & won't be again. There was a shortage of staff so waited a wry long time for food. Then the food arrive and was stone cold in the middle & burnt on outside, sent it back it got heated and was still cold , refused to pay for that side dish. Wasn't offered a new Instead wich I didn't appreciate & also it would have been cold again. The calzone was also frozen in the middle but we didn't bother to say about that one. Instead it got left. Was only about 2 staff and the place was busy so you can imagine waiting to get one of them. The chef looked like he couldn't be arsed to be at work probably why the food was awful & heard everyone else was complaining and dishes being sent back..

Absolutely disgusting and disgraceful service order was completely wrong I got a £19 order for my £35 order and zizzis are doing nothing about it this is the second time this has happened pure angry

The food was delicious, apart from the tomato bread starter "Bruschetta"(it was rock hard, I mean... SOLID).

Delivery was fast and delivery driver was very friendly. Food was disappointing 😔 I had chicken and mushroom rustic pizza and it was sooo dry! The sauce was so thin and the chicken was dried out too. Only thing that saved this was me purchasing the sauce trio which I dipped it into. The linguine was pretty bland. The caprese salad had no mozzarella in it at all! Have eaten in zizzis lots and always loved it but this was so disappointing considering the cost of it!

Service Poor. Very quiet restaurant but difficult to attract attention of staff. Had to ask for side plates. Then had to ask for appropriate cutlery. Then had to ask for parmesan (twice) Then had to ask for salt and pepper. All basic stuff which is easy to get right. Food Awful. I had to return my main meal as the prawns were off. I was offered a replacement which came once my friend had finished her meal. I was then charged for this - poor customer service. We would have expected this to be removed from the bill. Food not great. Had a processed, salty flavour. Did not appear fresh. Quite unpalatable. Ambience None. Cold soulless restaurant We will never return to Zizzi and will not recommend to friends and family

The saving grace of our visit to Zizzi's in Silverburn were the friendly and attentive staff, and as a coeliac their knowledge of the gluten contamination was reassuring. Unfortunately, that's where the positivity ends. Our children ordered Pizzas so thin that they barely held up the topping on them (even allowing for 'authenticity'), although along with the dough in each pizza the toppings seem to have been reduced too resulting in thoroughly disappointed children. Gluten free pasta with lentil ragu was tasty but again, the pasta was crunchy in places indicating it hadn't been cooked evenly throughout. The children also ordered the salted rosemary fries which they've really enjoyed in previous Zizzi's outings but here instead of the skin on chips they've had in the past, it was greasy skinny fries that were not as appetising. We've found this a couple of times with Zizzi lately, food is still good quality but they seem to have cut back on the ingredients for each dish so we've come away from at least two meals in Zizzi restaurants with our two children, each ordering a pizza off the adult menu, and we're still hungry. There are so many chain restaurants offering Italian food, I'd recommend trying a different one until Zizzi's realises that their profit margin isn't going to improve by skimping on the satisfaction of their customers.

Took ages to take our order, they didn’t take our drinks order, starter arrived on good time at 4:20pm however our main course didn’t arrive until 5:35. Two pasta dishes were not hot and very tasteless.

We dodged the Greek restaurant where we sat for 15 minutes being ignored and shared a cracking pizza at Zizzi. Perfect service great food at a great price.

Food was cold. Pasta was hard and chewy and pizza was nothing like the description (barely any toppings).

Poor service, they had no calamari so we received a phone call from the manager and told us we had to contact just eat for a refund. We ordered pizza instead, the delivery came without the pizza and pasta. Driver got sent back to bring back the pizza and pasta and the manager phoned to tell us he didn’t use the same driver as he didn’t trust him. We are now an hour gone, phoned back the restaurant and the manager on shift said no just eat driver came to pick it up. And no one thought to call and tell us. Won’t be ordering again.

For this price cake should be bigger and Pizza was so empty for this price as well. I'm very disappointed.

Visited tonight with my partner and two daughters. Ordered lasagne and a pizza. Lasagne tasted and looked like a microwave meal (tbh I’ve had better airplane meals) pizza was thin, floppy and dried up really quickly. Very disappointed in the food. Definitely not worth the money. Restaurant is also freezing cold! On a positive note, staff were very good, efficient and friendly.

I visited this restaurant for my daughters birthday, we waited for at least 15 mins to order a drink. When we eventually got a waitress, she did not know how to work the hand held device, she kept leaving the table and asking for help. I asked for a spirit and she returned to table and said , I cannot give you that as it’s not on the system, even though I could clearly see it behind the bar. I had chicken Milanese, all I can say is that it was like a chicken nugget n chips, with carrots! I have had this in lots of Italian restaurants, it was absolute joke. My daughter had the gluten free pizza, although you really needed to look for the cheese as there was hardly any on the pizza. Next to our table was a large white bucket on a chair, that was full of the crisp things that they put on your table. Why was it sitting on a chair at a table, why was it not covered? I work in hospitality and I know, this is a disgrace. I think the restaurant is totally under staff, and they need training on tills etc. I will not be visiting Zizzi again and I would not recommend waisting your money in this place. Mena Mcdowell

We really enjoyed the food, but the service was very poor. The lady serving us was lovely and explained it was her first day and she was very attentive, the starters and mains came out very quickly but we sat for 45 minutes waiting for our plates to be cleared so we could order deserts. Numerous staff (not the new lady) walked past our table and no one cleared our plates. Eventually a girl cleared our plates and asked if we wanted deserts and said she’d bring a menu. Deserts were also lovely. The staff don’t seem to work as a team and there is no awareness of the service that it being delivered. Also - it is ABSOLUTELY FREEZING IN THE RESTAURANT!! I sat in my coat, as did a lot of others. We would not be back sadly.

Dropped by here to have a quick dinner before the movie. We were quickly seated and the food came out quickly. Service was alright and so was the price. The carbonara is really good and can definitely recommend it.

Rainbow lasagne and pizza were delicious. However, there’s no difference in the sizes of portions of chips so I feel a bit cheated spending money on a large portion. And the dipping sauce was missing from our arancini which was disappointing because the arancini itself was lacking flavour.

The place was freezing, we were much less than comfortable and the food cooled way too quickly for it to be eaten enjoyably. Probably not Zizzi’s fault as the whole centre was cold but they could at least have closed over the doors! The service was, as always, excellent and the staff cannot be faulted but sorry guys we didn’t enjoy our visit and three other couples came in,we’re seated, then left immediately so that speaks volumes! It’s winter,it’s Scotland so please cater to that and keep your customers warm.

Used to order from Zizzi alot. Had 3 missing bottles of Coke zero which I requested a refund from. When eating the pasta in alternate packaging, it was cold, bland and actually the worst pasta dish I've ever received via takeaway. The last time wasn't much better. Got to the stage that its totally overpriced rubbish, made by chefs who either can't follow a spec sheet or don't give a toss.

First time here and won’t be back. Food was rubbish and the service was diabolical. Restaurant wasn’t busy so we were surprised at the lack of service we experienced. Had to ask for cutlery amongst other things. if we asked a basic question about the...

It was freezing. Pizza was stone cold. Had to use the microwave.
