The staff was very friendly and service was quick. They have dozens of incredible dessert choices and meringue cookies the size of my face! Our server gave us one on the house after we had a lovely conversation. Wonderful experience, highly recommended!

This restaurant is due to close in December 2018 even with the staff under notice the service was great and they explained the shortages in the menu well. You could have nothing but respect for the team operating under difficult circumstances with a smile and still making a difference to customer service. A credit to them. Please support the team and keep coming to the restaurant.

Really good Italian a stone's throw from Glasgow Central train station, fresh food, relaxed atmosphere and reasonably priced (there's a set menu which is very good value). Also, the Deli is fantastic 👍🏻

Service was excellent by true Italian waiters. We could hardly understand their English. Great wine and menu selection. We had Bruschetta as an appetizer. I had Ricotta e Zucchine for lunch. This looked like a popular place for couples, business, etc.

We all enjoyed the cuisine. The staff were great and nothing was too much trouble. I have eaten in Carluccio's Liverpool and now Glasgow and both experiences were great.

Our server was extremely good. We shared the prosciutto and Aranici as staters and they were amazing. My carbonara was as definitely perfect. Really lovely. Hubby’s lamb was a bit of the chewy side according to him. Still a brill restaurant.

Visited recently for lunch and was impressed by the good value and great service received. The portion size was generous and food quality good. Nice ambience and friendly service made it an ideal choice to meet my friend for a leisurely lunch.

Que son clientes habituales de este restaurante y siempre conseguir una comida decente. En ocasiones la comida es muy buena. Yo diría que un restaurante estilo italiano siempre deben tener un espaguetis a la boloñesa/ragu en su menú. Incluso si sólo una vuelta.

Deliciosamente preparados y comida casera, personal muy atento, muy limpio y ordenado, no se podía pedir mucho más. Mi única pega es, cuidado con los clientes entrando, que tardaron unos minutos para estar sentado, de lo contrario 100% fabuloso

Nos avenue ofrench un buen desayuno, pero el domingo 1 de julio calle algo iba mal. Nos sentamos en una mesa y esperamos y esperamos. . . un buen 10 minutos y nadie vino a ver a nosotros. Nos levantamos para salir y para añadir un perjuicio a la situación de un miembro del personal dijo "adiós" muy pobre servicio. Llevamos a nuestro otro.

A warm Sunday afternoon in Glasgow looking for somewhere to eat saw a couple of families through the window and for me that is always a good sign in an Italian restaurant. I was greeted and seated and left with a menu. The choice was good and I started with a pate beautifully presented and tasted great. The Seabass was again cooked to perfection but there was too much potato rosti for me, better too much than not enough.The crowning glory was the Limoncello Coppa it would be worth going just for that. Everything was washed down with a very nice wine. The service was excellent, friendly and unobtrusive. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Glasgow and will certainly visit again and again.

Been to Carluccio's over the years but this was disappointing. From the menu, no sea bass, no swordfish so modified order to a bruschetta starter and then the 'Insalata de Mare' which turned out to be a few refrigerated items in an average salad background, noting that was no "langoustines" but a singular crevette. "King" prawns were standard, small items as were the other ingredients. To add insult, there was no Vecchia Romagna to go with the coffee, only Grappa, a vile concoction that I forgot that I hated. £40 wasted.

Popped in for a meal before a concert. Nice and quick service with friendly staff. Food was tasty as well and at a reasonable price.

Stopped here before heading for the train home. Lucky enough to get a table outside which was ideal on such a warm day. Had a cappuccino which was good. Ended up staying for a glass of wine as we were so comfortable and enjoying the early evening people watching! Staff were pleasant and we received a warm welcome. This may well be our new stop before heading home!

Just thought we'd pop in for a coffee on way to our hotel but were more than impressed with the welcome and the menu, not to mention the atmosphere. Everything just seemed to work, attentive staff but not intrusive, well presented and prepared meals, relaxed surroundings. What more could you ask for..

I had a lovely lunch here with my mum and my daughter recently. They don’t blink when we order a starter and two mains to arrive together. The service is always good and nothing ever seems too much trouble.

Tuvimos una tarde domingo, £11. 95 para dos campos. La Bruschetta estaba muy fresco y el pollo a la milanesa era buena. Mi compañero tenía un ruibarbo panna cotta de las ofertas especiales para el postre y yo tenía helado y ambos eran muy agradable. Mi pareja haya terminado la comida con un espresso martini, se vende como un cóctel, pero igual de bueno después de la cena, y yo tenía un café con leche. Como han dicho otros, vinos por copa es caro en £8 +, dejándonos con una factura mucho más de lo que había previsto. 10% de descuento en la tienda para los comensales es un buen benefiy, aunque no aprovecha.

Si te gusta la comida italiana - buenos ingredientes simplemente preparados, este es el lugar. El menú de 2 platos es una ganga. Por 14 libras. 95, mi marido tenía un plato de antipasto caponata mezclado, salami, jamón, queso. Su principal era pollo saltimbocca con patatas asadas y ensalada de rúcula una. Comencé con una placa arancini con 2 diferentes servidos con una salsa de tomate. Tenía risotto de hongos para mi principal. Compartimos una botella de Montepulciano barato pero ordinario d'Abruzzo. El espacio es amplio, luminoso, acogedor. El servicio es eficiente, pero diseñado para conseguir en y rápidamente.

Two courses, well prepared and well presented. Staff pleasant and reasonably attentive. Restaurant was clean and quite comfortable. I was dining early, there were few people eating. I thought the wine by glass was expensive, as two glasses was more than the meal.

This was our 1st visit here and was surprised because of the deli shop too. the special value for money lunch menu is so worth it. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the food was prompt in its delivery. Good flavours, and on some plates we saw big portions, Italian style. The deli shop to has a great choice, and will make this a place to visit on our return.

Attractive cafe and delicatessen serving Italian dishes and tasty snacks. The service is exceptional. . . swift, responsive and cheerful. And good value too!

A family get together. Children enjoyed all they had and server ensured we were given special promotion even though we knew nothing about it. Food good and fairly reasonable. Atmosphere good - you know what you’re going to get here!

After collecting my daughter from the train on her return from Uni we called in for a relaxing catch up over lunch. The restaurant was busy but we were in no rush. Staff were friendly and food was good. We chose the £11.95 two course lunch which was great. Portions were good size and tasty.

what can I say the place is well run by mostly Italian staff including the manager the staff were all very friendly and the food was great and very affordable I even met big Billy Connely at the door and wee had a great chat (not kidding) anyway the food and the staff never seem to dissapoint

Love the cooked breakfast- everything is so tasty and well cooked. Good value too if you get the menu with coffee and juice included. Delicious eggs florentine too. Comfortable restaurant and good service.

Visited last week for lunch. Our waitress was lovely and very on the ball, other than that I was totally underwhelmed by our whole experience. My food wasn't nice, the 'garlic' focaccia tasted stale, not a hint of garlic and very hard. My bruchetta was literally just the 'focaccia' with tomatoes lobbed on top. Not good at all. We then asked for the bill to which the waiter had forgotten, everyone forgets things. Once asked for it again we were given it an told he would return with the card machine to which that took for ever and had to be reminded again. Not ideal.

We visited here for a late lunch this week. On a positive note - the waiter serving us was lovely and very friendly and attentive (he used to work at Grill on the Corner)

Walking around Glasgow on New Year's Day there really wasn't very much open and we very much fancied a coffee, so this place was welcome. As we only wanted coffees, we expected to be seated at the bar, but in fact were shown to a table, which was more comfortable. The order was three coffees, a selection of biscuits and a piece of warm chocolate and rum fudge cake. It was all very nice on a cold day, although I would quibble about the definition of the word "warm". I didn't think the cake was very warm to be honest, but it was very tasty and also light - not heavy and stodgy at all which can sometimes be an issue with that kind of cake. I have also eaten meals in Carluccio's and have never been disappointed, although I wish they would stop having risotto always with mushrooms. They used to vary the risotto, and I don't like mushrooms.

Lovely food, been twice for brunch and very much enjoyed it also great staff plus atmosphere! Will always go back and highly recommend to for others to visit especially for breakfast .

Nice classic Italian food but I don't think the prices reflect what you get. Staff were nice and the deli shop is fantastic. I think the fact that we had to wait ages for food was a bit of a pain although our group had a fab time within our party. The drinks were nice.

Met a friend for breakfast here. Had eggs funghi with toast. It was good as was the tea...my friend had the breakfast which looked good. Nice place bit upmarket for your average Glaswegian and a bit pricey for what you get. Still I would come back again.

The menu offers a whole host of delicious, Italian-inspired dishes, and the food was delicious. The only thing was that the service was a little slow, on a not very busy evening, and it took quite a lot of time to receive our bill.

I had lunch - pasta e fagioli followed by chicken milanaise with garlic and rosemary potatoes. Then I ordered coffee and hazelnut ice cream but when it arrived I didn't like it. The lovely waitress Staci immediately replaced it with vanilla ice cream. So kind.The food and Staci's service made this place a definite winner. And at a reasonable price. It also has a shop selling delicious Italian speciality food. Perfect!

Visited here yesterday when I was running very late for a meeting. We were served in half an hour flat( 2 courses and coffee for my brother, one for me) after saying to the manager who greeted us that we had very little time. the staff were very accommodating, very friendly and brought the bill ,as I asked, at the same time as the food. Delicious carbonara!

We booked late, and managed to get a table for a quick pre party dinner. The staff were very receptive to the need for prompt service, and it didn't compromise the quality of the food. One member of staff in particular made our visit enjoyable. Her name is Edyta - welcoming, knowledgeable, and attentive.

There is a gluten free breakfast menu available, i was so excited to have the eggs Benedict and it was delicious. I have been wanting to come here for a while to try and gluten free breakfast and it didn't disappoint. Will look forward to coming back again.

I think it's important to consider what type of establishment you are visiting. Restaurants are aimed at formal dining, cafes at informal hubbub. Carluccios in typical Italian fashion defies classification as its both.I visited for brunch in cafe mode. As in inner city eatery you expect the normal fare, and you get it but reduced in redundant volume. Then the food arrives and you think, not as big as other places... Same with the coffee.However, not all breakfasts are created equal. It's amazing what a good chef can do with a good piece of bread. Let alone a breakfast. Easily the best breakfast I've had in memory, every mouthful a delight. The coffee, small but perfectly formed. The orange juice, generous and authentic.The staff friendly and even suggested how I could save money ordering differently.I don't eat out much in Glasgow these days, but it's hard to see why I'd go elsewhere in the city centre. It's not posh, it's stylish. During the day anyway....Evening mode intreagues me now....

Ate in here in the early evening this week (Wednesday). Had originally booked a table at Las Iguanas (directly across the street), but were told upon arrival that they had suffered a power outage, with no gas, so were running a restricted menu. We didn't much like the look of it unfortunately, so took drastic, emergency action and headed in here.We went in and asked for a table for 4 and were seated immediately, not busy at all, but still helped to make a good impression. For starters I ordered 'garlic focaccia' which I regretted once it arrived. It was definitely what I would describe as 'garlic bread' rather than focaccia. It was lovely, but not what I would call focaccia. If I was to order it again I order it again I'd order the traditional or one with cheese, to see if there is any difference. It was also quite dry on its own and I asked for some vinegar and olive oil for a dip. Nice garlic bread (not focaccia!), but needs something along side it. Others in my our party had Tomato Bruschetta, while one had bread sticks from the kids menu. The tomatoes with the bruschetta were excellent!For mains I ordered one of their two new vegetarian dishes - 'spaghetti con polpette di pane,' veggie meatballs. They were excellent! The others in the group had; seafood linguine, chicken milanese and a kids spaghetti bolognese (the pasta was actually 'ditaloni' - tiny tubed pasta.) All were enjoyed! One comment would be that the chicken dish lacked any sauce, which made it a vit dry/bland, but other than that it was fine. For pudding I abstained - the main course had done me in! - but the rest of the table ordered a slice of coconut cake and white coffee, and a kids cherry ice cream. Applause all round! The final bill came to £78 (with 10% tip) for 3 adults and a kid. One adult did order off the set menu (2 courses £14.95 & add a pudding for £3). Two medium glasses of pinot grigio, a diet coke and an orange san pelegrino (and tap water).Overall, I was pretty impressed. Not out of this world (not on Qua's level, for example), but for a quick mid week meal, when we hadn't even planned on going there, it definitely hit the spot! The staff were friendly, food good, and service promot but not rushed - all in a relaxed atmosphere. Would go again!

The food at Carluccio's is always good, but the 5 stars is for the staff. Out waiter turned out to be Canadian, so you'll know who i am talking about. Polite, helpful, attentive. And good staff make a huge difference to the dining experience. Hang onto him.

Booked a table for 8 for what we hoped would be a quick but quality lunch. Service appallingly slow. Food nothing special . Whole experience took nearly two hours. Stressful.

Went for a spot of lunch today and found the whole experience to be very average.Starters of Tomato bruschetta and chicken liver pate were ok. Not much care or attention had gone into them.My girlfriend said her chicken main course was nice and she also liked her glass of wine!My Pasta tasted like rubber and the so called beef ragu sauce was tasteless and I struggled to find much beef on the plate.Very arrogant manager on duty. In the hospitality industry you need to smile, be welcoming and say goodbye to customers when they leave. He did none of these things. I would not recommend or return.

We went here for lunch and I have to say it surpassed my expectations. The service was friendly and our order was taken quickly. The food arrived promptly and was delicious. Everything tasted fresh and you could tell they had used the best of ingredients. The atmosphere was nice and relaxed and not too loud. We had the set lunch and it was really reasonable priced. I would definitely recommend it and I will be going back.

Carluccio's is a good restaurant in the very centre of Glasgow. As suggested by the name, the menu is inspired to the italian cuisine. Quality is good, but dishes are mostly different from the real italian tradition. Names are similar, but ingredients and way of cooking, in many cases, are different. Anyway service is accurate (although sometimes slow) and prices are consistent with the average of mid-level restaurants in central Glasgow (except the very expensive mineral water).

Had been here for lunches and dinners before and both food and service were good. Central location in the city centre with easy access. Had lunch yesterday and the restaurant was busy. Service was slow and the food was disappointing as the pasta dishes were not as good as previously. Disappointed and will not return soon

Went for a two course lunch with my girlfriend. Our starters were very good and fresh however my pasta was tasteless, bland and the shells were cold and rubbery.FAR to expensive for poorly executed cafe food. Regretted spending my money here. Their coffee is also rubbish for the money. You expect an Italian to be able to deliver on coffee and pasta at least.

I had beautiful veal for lunch. The service is excellent and the wine we had was delicious. I will def. be visiting again.

A favourite restaurant in Glasgow’s eclectic mix, it ticks the box every time. A real Italian feel with charming staff and delicious food. The pate is wonderful: a must! Lively atmosphere, friendly staff and great food. The charming manager is hands on, and leads his lively team by example. I was served by a lovely lady and all was first class, albeit I didn’t have enough time to enjoy the authentic ambience. But I will be back very soon. A winner.

Had ages between trains so came in for a relaxed coffee. Took ages. Smoothie did not taste like £3.50, more like one you'd get from a bottle. Place wasn't particularly busy but we ended up having to rush.

Went here with my sister and my baby granddaughter. The staff could not have done enough for us..they sat us at the back of the restaurant so that we would not be in the way and then proceeded to be mega attentive to both us and the baby.The food was delicious, pasta was fresh and tasty and the chocolate bread and butter pudding to die for. I have dreamed about it! Can't wait to go back.

I visited this restaurant for the first time, for lunch with a friend and ordered PENNE GIARDINIERA. It was fantastic and, as someone who isn't normally keen on Italian restaurants, I will definitely be back. The waiter we had (who was Spanish) was lovely, the presentation was spot on and the flavours were amazing. I'm looking forward to browsing the shelves for goodies too.

I've eaten in different Carluccio's in both the UK and abroad (Dubai) and it's the same high quality every time I go in.Usually I would avoid chain's, but Carluccio's is an exception. I tend to go for the set menu because it's well priced and quick.

I was visiting Glasgow for work and enjoyed eating here a few times. Friendly staff, nice atmosphere good location in the city centre. I love the cheese board and prawn starters and I tried the new chicken dish which was lovely. Nice to visit for a relaxed coffee or a meal.

I'd fancied going here for a while and finally went today. The service was efficient, th restaurant is nice and bright, and the shop at the front has lots of tasty stuff to buy! I had calamari - excellent, seabass - good and the sides were good, too and then a meringue. My friend had the stuffed peppers which looked amazing and then an ice cream sundae. The portions were a good size to allow 3 courses which I like! I will definitely return

I've just had THE best Carluccio's experience, in Glasgow. Traveling with work a lot, I tend to gravitate to Carluccio's for that 'I know what I want to eat and they can provide it' experience. Saturday night, bank holiday weekend, packed restaurant and a solo diner turns up. From the moment I arrived, I was looked after by the utterly charming Eilidh. She was welcoming, found me a table and not for one moment did I feel I was an inconvenience or rushed as the table could have afforded a bigger revenue from more than one diner. I had my staple chicken liver pate and steak from the grill- cooked to perfection with a real understanding of what 'rare' should be. Superb quality meat and flavour. So my advice should you find yourself in Glasgow and wanting a fantastic meal.... Head to Carluccio's and if you're lucky Eilidh and the chef that was working the night I was there may be on and you're guaranteed a great meal and service.

I called in here to get my lunch before my train to London. I had a set lunch deal that was about £12. The food was tasty and service was fast. I would recommend this restaurant for lunch.

I was greatly looking forward to our family lunch here as I have enjoyed several excellent meals in London branches of this chain. I was, however, bitterly disappointed in my visit to this restaurant. The service was appalling, despite the restaurant being quite quiet and plenty of waiting staff around. It took 3 attempts to get a Kids menu, and when the food came it was minus breadsticks, and no colouring book. We also had a long wait before our order was taken. As far as the adults food was concerned it was underwhelming. We then had another very long wait for ice cream for our granddaughter. Sadly it certainly wouldn't inspire a return visit.

I met my friend for lunch after having my eyes tested and this is where we chose to go. What a lovely diner. The atmosphere was lively, loved all the produce you could purchase. The decor was light and refreshing. The service was at a steady, relaxing pace and not in your face. The food was delicious. I had the aranciata (rice balls) to start followed by a duck pasta dish. I couldn't eat all mine. I had San Pellegrino to drink, the lemon and mint flavour, I could get addicted to that very quickly. This place is well worth a visit, seemed very popular when we were there.

We ate her as a family on our second night in Glasgow. A good choice interesting menu which is what we wanted. Not a cheap place to eat but worth going for quality food. I would visit again. The staff were very busy but attentive and pleasant with good manners.

We went here for a quick business lunch, and all were impressed. I think there was a slight starter superiority going on, as all three looked and tasted amazing, however the mains were a slight step down. The mains were nice, don't get me wrong, but not the same standard as the starter. Staff were friendly and efficient.

Food delightful went above & beyond I recommend the grandioso board the green beans with garlic are a sensory overload the server stephan asked chef to produce a solo portion which was not too much trouble. I had an allergy which was not the restaurants fault but my own for not stating which they removed my main charge. Wine fantastic service amazing and Alison manager could not be more helpful highly recommend

The food really was quite poor as far as Italian food goes (the pasta was overcooked and had minimal sauce on 3/4 entrees. Expensive as well.

I had the mushroom risotto and enjoyed it very much! Staff and atmosphere were very pleasant! This restaurant was very convenient from the Grand Central Hotel and Buchanan Street. We were with a fairly large group and everyone liked thier meal.

Went as a group of 6 for a friends birthday. Took quite a long time to be served between courses and when food came it was luke warm. Had to ask three times for a bottle of wine but when asking for the cheque it was delivered in an instant! It was a Sunday afternoon and fairly busy but don't think they had enough staff on duty. Had much better elsewhere so doubt if I will be returning.

Carluccios is a pleasant restaurant with good varied menu BUT it's overpriced for what it is and waiter got both our drinks and meal order wrong. Very very busy when we arrived and not enough waiting staff. Wouldn't rush to return.

Dropped in to Carluccio's for quick meal after walking and busing around Glasgow all day. We just wanted some warm and enjoyable. My wife and I opted for the fixed price dinner option 2 courses for 11.99 or 3 for 14.99. I went with the fresh pate followed by the Beef Ragu linguini. The pate with warm toast was brilliant (my wife had bruschetta which was similarly fresh and delicious). Accompanied by a glass of wine this is some of the best value in Glasgow for people who are tired of fancy restaurants or greasy fast food. There is an extensive menu and all well priced. But after two weeks travelling this was just like a good home cooked meal - perfect!!!The staff were attentive without being too much. The restaurant is suitable for singles, couples or families.

Walking around St. George's Square looking for a place that serves a wider variety of dishes, we were delighted to find this restaurant's summer menu featuring grilled whole seabeam and other Italian favorites. This is a modern, upbeat and cozy restaurant, with hearty meals well prepared. The chicken liver pate was divine! My seabeam was somewhat light but tasty. The Ragu pasta my husband had was spicy but delicious, the pasta cooked just right. Food arrived a little bit slow but we weren't in a rush. Service was friendly and adequate. Would not hesitate to go back again to try other dishes.

We had a business lunch. Wide choice of Italian food and it was really tasty when it arrived. Very good service. Place was very clean. High standard lunch as you'd expect from carluccios

Visited here for a quick lunch. Service was friendly and knowledgable the waiter able to have a laugh and a relax and ask me where i was from. They had a lunch deal on and i shared the pasta dish with the cheese plate and a bottle of red. It was amazing value for what I paid.. the environment was laid back but professional and I could of stayed for a lot longer. I look forward to returning and bringing another friend.

Visited with my brother and sister for evening meal and loved this place. Essentially the brilliantly attentive, witty professional and pleasant wait staff make this place what it is. The food was just fab too, wine and mixed breads too. Hadn't really heard of this place but would definitely recommend and will be coming back again. Well done guys this a great restaurant bolstered by great food and brilliant staff.

Great place for a morning coffee, nice and friendly place, nice big windows to sit and watch the world go by while slowly coming to life

Came for lunch with my grandparents and although we hadn't booked a table and it was very busy, they still managed to squeeze us in. Food was delicious. Will return.

having had booking cheerfully but wrongly written down by a refreshingly quick-witted waiter, this visit did get off to a good humoured start. And the food and service was delivered to perfection! Yes, the food is as expected but you do get it exactly as you wanted it and the atmosphere is one of fun and enjoyment. The waiting team are out of this world and seem to enjoy what they do so very skilfully.

Ik heb hier met een zakenrelatie gegeten. Er was net gestart met de aktie "la festa del sud" : Scampi's als voorgerecht en zeebaars als hoofdgerecht. In een woord voortreffelijk! Het dessert kaas met honing was echt de moeite waard. Een aan rader dus. Ook aan Edyta dank voor de vriendelijke bediening.

My friend and I enjoyed an after theatre meal here and were served by very friendly staff. Our food was good and the restaurant has a pleasant atmosphere.
