Absolutely loved my night at gaucho went for my birthday last night they came out with my desert with candles and happy birthday in white chocolate on the side the service was great food came fast the staff were lovely and made u feel very special 100% recommend very chill fancy vibes inside

Had a lovely experience here with the family. Sam was exceptional and made us feel at home. Steak was delicious, too! I will definitely be back here 😊.

I went with my boyfriend for dinner, we were recommended the place by a friend. We came in and were sat on a middle table which was uncomfortable as all the tables were close together and it was loud which made it difficult to enjoy the meal. We had a lot of people walking close by our seats throughout the meal. After we ordered drinks it took a further 15 minutes to have our food order taken. They seemed to be understaffed and some staff seemed stressed. We had salmon tartare tacos as a starter which were really small and bland. For mains we got two steaks, sirloin and rump both of which lacked flavor and were served to us cold, by the time we cut and ate the meat they were even colder. The chimichurri sauce wasn’t great either. I wouldn’t recommend to anyone as it is a bit pricey for what they offer and they added 12.5% service charge, which I decided to pay as I felt bad for the server that attended to us as he seemed to be rushed off his feet. I would not come back.

Fabulous place, just had a chateaubriand which was tender and tasty and i am so happy. The ambience of this place, how relaxing this place is and everything we tasted was just perfect. I will be back soon. Oh and as it was birthday today they brought a cake and it was fantastic….

Food was great! It's not £20-30 though. 2 For a steak n chips, desert, water and 2 drinks, £75 each. Despite the price it's a really nice place for a date or special occasion for 2. Interior and toilets clean and modern looking.

A phenomenal place to eat. Absolutely first class service from Ali and Ryan. From beginning to end we were treated with courtesy and professionalism. The food was incredible, the place itself was cosy and comfortable, and the atmosphere is something that we will definitely revisit. Ali and Ryan went above and beyond to make our experience memorable. We can't wait to go back.

Came here after we couldn't get a reservation at Millar and Carter - had seen that it was recommended on Google. We both had steak, ribeye and sirloin. Two very nice cuts of meat, but very disappointed in how they had been seasoned and cooked, no flavour unfortunately. Service was good, a Wednesday early evening so not much atmosphere. A poor example of a steak for a very high premium

Can't fault the place. We were very well looked after. Food was excellent, service was excellent and they went the extra mile knowing it was a special occasion for us. Water and wine was filled for us and the staff are in general just very attentive. Great experience, we will be back.

After first sampling Gaucho’s cuisine at an office party, thought to book for a birthday. Our waiter Sam kept us right with house recommendations and delivered top calibre service throughout our entire visit. Venue is exquisite & food was out this world. Highly recommended 10 out of 10.

My partner was celebrating her birthday and chose Gaucho for her birthday dinner. Best decision ever!!!! The atmosphere was amazing! The waiter, whose name I have unfortunately forgotten was really nice. He gave the best advice on drinks and even the meals! I'm a steak lover and not so many places have been able to get me hooked but Gaucho steaks are amazing! I ordered the Ribeye steak. I would recommend them anyday, anytime!!!

It was a bit echoey in the restaurant but the serving staff were great so friendly and attentive. Food as usual was fantastic the deal we were on was so worth it and the recommended wine was so good. I would highly recommend this experience.

Visited this restaurant with 2 colleagues on my recommendation. Although we had the set menu, the food was delicious, and the service from Ana was first class. The steak was cooked perfectly, and although Ana came over to check everything was OK, it didn't feel forced. Would certainly recommend this restaurant.

This is one of our favourite places for date nights or when we feel like eating a good steak for dinner 😊 Quick service, lovely ambience and delicious food. We also love their Wagyu Empanadas.

This was my 3rd visit and now my favourite restaurant. We had the legacy menu which gave a great choice and a lovely bottle of Malbec at a great price. Only problem was the dessert pancakes which h were cold and dry but these were quickly replaced and a big discount given off my bill. Although I think the food is great here I think it's the amazing service you get which will keep me coming back.

On a quiet Wednesday night, but with lots of staff on it was a bit of a disaster. Had booked a menu in advance but wasn't provided with it when arrived, had to ask. Drinks were painfully slow - took until the mains had arrived to get one cocktail and a coke. Steak was good, fries were stone cold. Then when the bill arrived it had someone else's full table on it. Had to argue and prove that the bill was £150 more than it should have been. So disappointing.

We came to the restaurant early to see if we could move our booking from 3 to 1. Even though the restaurant was closed when we arrived they opened up for us and changed the booking. It was our first visit to Glasgow and the host even advised of places to go whilst in the city. All of which were amazing. When we arrived for the meal all of the staff were very nice and helpful with advice on the menu options. Our food, service and atmosphere at this restaurant was amazing, would 100% recommend. By far the best Gaucho restaurant I have been to in the UK.

Booked a table for three. One dinner had a main course, and the other two guests shared four starters. It is hideously overpriced, and portions are miniscule. Poor table service (unprofessional standard). Frozen produce used (scallops and prawns)which renders them tasteless. Overcooked dishes (prawns shrivelled, dry, rubbery and have no taste. What a disrespect to the produce itself. Chorizo skewer, blackened. The steak was substandard. Requested medium rare... and got raw. Beef Empanda is just unauthentic. £7 for a product the size of a small tart and laced with hot paprika, making it impossible to taste the other ingredients. No balance! No passion!....Then the self-awarded tip (£24 ???). I always tip, and tip well when merited. A restaurant making the decision to apply a well above-average tip to customers' bills is just plain rude. Get your show in order.. You've got to many one & two star reviews. You won't survive conning people like this. Glaswegians will see beyond the nice decor...Poor show! Argentinian food is up there amongst the best in the world.... You are letting it and yourselves down!!

First time at Goucho, would definitely recommend a visit. Our waiter was Sam, lovely young man, very helpful and knowledgeable regarding the menu and gave recommendations- we had the sharing menu and already decided on the ribeye - it did not disappoint - delicious. Will be back. All staff were lovely

Fabulous food and great service! It was nice to get out to a good steakhouse with a kids menu! Our baby loved the Mac and cheese and we enjoyed steak tartare, steaks with chimichurri, and some lovely cocktails. Definitely recommend and will visit again!

Rather disappointed in this restaurant having had very good experiences with Argentinian food before. Average for all of it I'm afraid, lacked atmosphere, service was patchy and impersonal and food well, okay but expensive for what it was.

we shared an amazing meal and had a warm welcome from the outset despite arriving 30 minutes early, Viola made us feel so accommodated and was so please to join in on our celebration while Ahmet gave us the best wine recommendation and made us feel incredibly welcome we will be back with our families thank you so much xx

Really enjoyed our evening meal tonight. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. Happy to go through all the cuts with you. I can say that we have eaten in many steak restaurants and this is the best steak I have ever had. Will definitely be coming back on another visit to Glasgow

Went to gauchos today and had a great time. The steak was cooked perfectly, the comfy mushrooms were a wonder and they even had horseradish and mustard. A massive plus point from my point view. The review would have been five by five but for two things. The fries were good but would really have appreciated the triple cooking method and for the price, the chimichurri sauce was very small. Little more than an egg cup size. It wouldn't stop me going back, but I certainly wouldn't order it again. Very tasty chimichurri but a little overpriced. Everything else was priced very well in my opinion. I have a powered wheelchair which is quite cumbersome but the staff made me feel very welcome and comfortable

2nd visit within the past few months but disappointed on this occasion. Steak not cooked as instructed and waitress staff constantly asking if we are ready to order ( 3 times within 5 mins) , got to the point where I was looking at wine menu to pick one to go with our meal....when..surprise...asked if we were ready to order, decided to bin ordering the wine as was fed up getting hustled.

Great service and surroundings but felt very over priced

Good quality food but atmosphere was very lacking when we were there. It was however a very quiet Thursday night and it might be different if it was busy.

Went for our anniversary, food was top class and so was the service. Anna really made the evening special, the best service I've had in Glasgow. Will be going back!

Sunday bliss at Gaucho 🍽️ we started with some cocktails at the bar before indulging in a delightful lunch with friends. Our booth was spacious and perfect for our gathering. The steaks were cooked to perfection, tailored to our individual tastes, accompanied by a great choice of sides and sauces. One friend opted for a steak salad, which was a hit! Our waiter's wine expertise added an extra touch to the experience, guiding us to the perfect pairings. Overall, it was a fantastic day filled with great food, drinks, and company. Highly recommend!

We had the most amazing meal and afternoon at Gaucho if I could give 10 stars I would! Took my mum here for her birthday and honestly could not fault a thing. The food was just fabulous. Everything was so fresh and tasty. The Sea Bass Ceviche is a must try! I've had Trout Ceviche before but Gaucho's Sea Bass Ceviche is on another level! Absolutely delicious. Service was also exceptional. The staff are so welcoming and can't do enough for you. The management team, Ryan and Anton, ensured that my mum had a lovely birthday dining experience. As a wee special touch the chef decorated my mum's dessert with a happy birthday message which was so thoughtful and a lovely birthday surprise for her. The girl who served our table, I think her name was Olivia, also provided a 5 star service. The actual restaurant itself is just beautiful. It is immaculate and has a really sophisticated but chilled vibe that you just can't help feeling relaxed in. We absolutely can't wait to go back and the fact that it's dog friendly I will maybe be bringing my wee furry dog pal next time! 😄 Thank you so much to all the team at Gaucho for a wonderful afternoon you really do provide a friendly and first class city centre dining experience! ❤️

Came here to mark the occasion for a birthday. After hearing positive things about the restaurant we had high hopes. Unfortunately the food was of a very poor standard. Whether we were unlucky or Gaucho was having a poor night, we were left very disappointed. I had the sea bass which was served on the bone- it does not mention this on the menu. The sea bass was an incredibly small portion, only a few spoonfuls of fish were edible after removing it from the bone. The steak had a large volume of oil on the plate, was luke-warm and lacked in flavour. We had a side of fries and a side of Mac and cheese, again both were bland and had been sitting on the counter for 5-10 minutes so were not warm when we received them. Having been sat at a small table at the rear of the restaurant, it was not the most comfortable atmosphere to mention this to the server as we were in touching distance from the other small table next to us. When you pay prices like this, you would expect a spacious and comfortable table. We both left hungry and very disappointed. If I hadn’t been in such a rush to leave, I definitely wouldn’t have paid the 12.5% service charge for two people. I am surprised at the other reviews as we had a very poor experience. I would never return and will not recommend anyone to have a meal here sadly.

My wife and I went here for an impromtu valentines date on a Friday night. Food was all incredible, if a little on the pricey side for what it is, but I suppose that's steak! They didn't have one of the wines we wanted to try but the person serving us had a back up recommendation which we enjoyed. The portions and cocktails are both small for what you're paying for, but that's probably to be expected in a high-end place. All in all we had a great night and would recommend it as a great steak restaurant!

We had a lovely meal here, a big Thank you to Tony who gave some exceptional service, recommended a great wine, talked us through the different cuts of beef and made sure to check back to ensure everything was to our liking. Some lovely beef finished off with a delicious cheesecake to share. We had a dog with us too who was waited on hand and foot with treats and his own wee water bowl- though I think he would have much preferred a steak. Thanks for a lovely night!

Fantastic food and brilliant staff

Managed to get a table about 9pm on Saturday, the place was still very busy, and no wonder , what a beautiful bit of beef and every side I got was spot on ..went for the beef taster menu and the truffle Mac cheese , chips,mash , egg and the hot chimicurri and plain chimicurri, everything was nailed

All 5 of us had a wonderful dining experience tonight. All the staff were exceptional but a special shout out for Olivia, who did most of the service for our table. The food was exceptional and all staff well briefed on the menu options.

Recently visited Gaucho in Glasgow and have to compliment the staff for a great relaxing experience. The waitress went into great detail in talking through all the different cuts of steak, to it being cooked perfectly.

Chateaubriand steak was superb, quality wine & comfortable seating. Yes a little more expensive 3 course meal with wine vs some other places but it was overall, worth it as a treat. A little noisy but that may be down to other guests on the night & Xmas service was a touch slower than ideal but happy with the experience.

Sam D was our waiter and he made my 24th birthday brilliant. He was knowledgeable about the menu, gave great recommendations and was genuinely lovely!

Went for a weekend lunch for two. Service was amazing, the menu was well explained and our server was helpful, attentive and super friendly. The food was great, the sea bass tartare was my favourite and the steak was cooked perfectly and I recommend the roast vegetables side to go with. The best part has to be the decor and interior, impeccable attention to detail makes the experience feel luxury even in the middle of a cold rainy Sunday.

We’ve loved our visit to gaucho!! The food was amazing. Definetly come more quieter times as we had to wait quite a bit but worth it!

I went here for my daughter’s birthday. Ordered the Gaucho sampler done medium at £125 and a number of sides. Took a very long time for the steaks to arrive. The steaks at best were just above room temperature with a mixture from rare to medium. Clearly the steak had been sitting for a long time. I had to send one of the steaks back as it was so raw. When it came back it was just warm. The seem to have a way with steaks. Not what I would expect from a steak house. I should have said something but we were hungry and the my daughter was getting tired. The music was loud more like a nightclub than a restaurant. The sides were mediocre. Special mention to the mac and cheese which was just plain cooked pasta. Below average at premium prices. At the end they tried to add on a 12.5% optional service charge without even asking. I asked them to take it off and the waiter seem surprised. All in all £200 lighter for a very poor meal.

Excellent lunch menu all the food was delicious, service from Sam was first rate. Mid week afternoon was quiet but didn’t detract from a fantastic experience. The restaurant is beautifully furnished, toilets spotless and well equipped. Would certainly come back.

Was really looking forward to coming, service was not great, coats were not taken, the men’s fillet steaks were tiny, ran out of champagne, and with the overall experience found it overpriced with an inflated tip. The restaurant itself was beautiful inside, the decor and the ambiance however the food did not lead up to expectations.

Atmosphere is lovely. The cocktails are great. Food is okay not much flavours going on. Love that they do some halal steak options. The service is usually great however some people in my party had finished there food by the time other people got there lobster which was a bit disappointing.

Came here for two special occasions -- birthday and anniversary -- and both meals were spectacular. The steak is among the best in Glasgow, and the appetizers and cocktails simply elevate the experience to an entirely other level. Definitely try the truffle arancini!

Wandering around Glasgow looking for somewhere interesting for dinner and came across Gaucho. Service was fantastic, friendly, polite and not at all intrusive. Food was excellent, steak cooked to perfection, we highly recommend the Tarte Tatin! Will definitely be back.

Absolutely fantastic from start to finish This was a late birthday celebration and we were not disappointed. The hostess greeted us and sat us quickly with a smile. Our sever Ali was phenomenonal. She really knew her stuff and went above and beyond to ensure my allergy was not an issue. Food was delicious, fresh and full of flavour. The prawns and steak were easily the best we've had in Glasgow. Just perfection. Cocktails were well made and balanced Wine list was extensive and Ali recommended the prefect pairings. Decor is lovely and the atmosphere is lovely ,music at a good level not too loud.

We love meat! So we came hear with expectations. Unfortunately, one of steaks we ordered (raw) was more like medium rare. But the service immediately reacted and gave us a 50% discount at the end. Unexpected but very positive indeed. The interior is just amazing. High class location. Coming from Germany, having a glass of wine for 20 pound is, say, something not very common but it was really worth it. So, listen to the recommendations you’ll get. All in all it was a great time we had at the Gaucho. Thank you, Sam!

Food & Drink: - All round good quality but overpriced - Steak tasty but less than comparable restaurants - Sides good, especially mushrooms - Prawns sadly raw, management dealt well with this but still very disappointing - Cocktails and wine nice but again overpriced Service: - Friendly staff but very slow service receiving food and drink - An hour for food to arrive Overall, might try again, but other steakhouses in the city are doing it better and cheaper

Visited Goucho tonight with my wife for my birthday. Right from entering the staff were lovely. Friendly, attentive and warm and chatty. We sat at the bar first for a drink where the barman was friendly and knowlegeable. We were then shown to our table and were served by Julia who again was very knowlegeable about the food which made our choices much easier. I had a ribeye steak with a side of handcut chips and another side of confit mushrooms. All the food was fantastic, the wine was fantastic and the other staff that we spoke to were all very nice and helpful and made us feel comfortable and welcome. Prices are above your average restaurant but the food, staff and experience are worth it. Thanks guys for making my birthday one I'll remember. We'll be back soon.

Walked in at around 3.30 yesterday hoping for lunch. I checked opening hours in advance so knew they were open and had space. It was empty, which was fine, but despite hanging in foyer for a few mins, stepping further inside to see chefs busying themselves and what I can only presume were the serving staff sat at the farthest away table, but wasn’t sure so didn’t want to interrupt them, no one bothered to come forward to seat us. Awkward and disappointing. Ended up in the ivy instead.

The service seemed a bit pretentious at times and although not busy, found it very difficult to get the waiters attention. Food is massively overpriced. Don't get me wrong, what we had tasted nice but £50 - £150 for a bit of steak on your plate is ridiculous. Not the best steak I've ever had and definitely not at that price. Would not return unfortunately.

Fantastic quality food and a must try. The mushrooms are absolutely incredible as a side to your steak. My steak was cooked medium and was exactly how I asked it to be cooked. The atmosphere was also fantastic and a high-end feel to the place. Would certainly recommend to anyone who wanted a nice romantic meal out!

Great food and service. Food was cooked well and overall we had a great time. Charged £4k instead of £400 as an extra ‘0’ was added by mistake. Refunded immediately 😊
