Nice staff, great food. Portions leave room for one of the many desserts.

Not too crushed in like other Italian restaurants nearby. Staff friendly and service good .

Love this restaurant staff are excellent and food same. We came here after having a disappointed lunch in Princess sq Glasgow and I can’t fault this restaurant or staff. Food was excellent well presented and really good portions. Great value for money. The Manager of this restaurant has to be congratulated on his excellent manner towards customers he was so helpful and very courteous dealing with us and made a lovely lunch exceptional we can’t wait to come back thank you for accommodating us at such short notice and again for all your attentiveness. It didn’t go unnoticed a terrific restaurant and terrific staff esp the lady who served us. Thank you.

The food was nice despite having a lot of chilly in my sea bass. Mocctails not worth it the price. The service was varied. One very young blonde lady was running around trying to help everyone and another one brunette was not interested whatsoever. Her face was tripping and she was complaining about something to a young gentleman who seemed to be in charge. Taking to consideration it was Easter Sunday and it was busy. In general seems like this place in under staffed.

We asked to sit outside since we had our dog with us and we combined tables together ourselves, went inside asked to get menu. The staff brought menus and through menus at us so rudely and I asked her to send another staff to take our orders since she was so disrespectful and unprofessional. I asked to see the manager and she said I am the manager and I will get another manager to come. The customer service and the way she treated us was so rude and we decided to leave and end up not having any food! Do not recommend! The staff’s name was Louis! It’s an absolute shame since she said she’s one of the managers and what a poor management to have someone this un polite to serve customers!!!

Family dinner here and staff, food and everything else was perfect. We were served by Karen and nothing was a problem for her. Food was great and good portion sizes. We can’t wait to come back

The service was outstanding, we regrettably don't remember the name of our waitress, however her tattoos were really cool. Her service was outstanding and we had an amazing time. The food was amazing, the garlic bread with mozzarella and caramelized balsamic onions was out of this world!

Pizza home delivery was late, very cold, did not have any toppings, just a crispy pitta bread, it was like eating a giant crisp. Worst pizza experience in my life.

Would love to write a review about the food but got turned away at the door for having a voucher. We wouldn’t have been visiting Zizi’s if it wasn’t for having a voucher. The voucher was only £20 so barely covered one main and we would have been spending a fair amount on top of the voucher. Had a table booked so it’s not as if they would have filled the table anyway. The restaurant was half empty as well so they just lost money and lost a customer. Server at the door was rude. Much better non-chain Italian restaurants for cheaper prices in the area. Avoid.

Visited this restaurant for the third time a couple of days ago. First two times we thoroughly enjoyed it. I don't know what happened on Tuesday, perhaps it is the chefs night off. Just over a week ago I had the Chicken Cabrees dish it was so good I ordered it this time, so did my wife. It was completely different from the previous week. The chicken was like rubber, it tasted like it had quickly been defrosted and cooked in the microwave, and the added to the dish. The week before it had nice potatoes and other vegetables, and topped with Mascarpone. Not this time. I left half my chicken, my wife didn't finish hers. Had pains in my stomach next morning. It was horrible, and we decided we will not be back. How the same dish can be excellent one week and horrible the next is beyond me. The waitress was friendly and helpful, but the food let it down this time. We should really have sent it back.

Can't fault the food, but the service was terrible. The server who seated and took our order seemed to be offended that we were there for some reason. Constant scowl and took orders from other tables before us. Ruined the atmosphere and put off coming back.

My husband and I went for dinner,we ordered olives,a GF pizza,and the Ravioli with sides of garlic bread and fries. Our piñot noir wine came,we weren’t asked to taste,just put on the table? When the food came out it looked good, I’ve had the ravioli before but this time it had baby plum tomatoes on top,I didn’t eat any,I felt they didn’t go with the dish,they had just been plonked on top,I started eating and enjoying it when my husband said his pizza wasn’t cooked It was wet and slimy underneath,so it was sent back. Not everyone would slow down eating but I felt I wanted to wait for his pizza,we were out for dinner together after all,so it was pretty cold by the time I finished mine. The olives never arrived. They didn’t come round with black pepper mill or Parmesan which is standard in most Italians. The meal was ruined by the undercooked pizza and lack of attention to detail even if the service was very pleasant. The ceramic pizza plates are rubbish,pizza should come out on wood. We ordered a couple of coffees and amaretto that was served with no sugar on the side or a slice of tablet(for the price it should)! when we got the bill we expected the coffees at least to be free,but they took nothing off. Our night was ruined by these issues. Lucky they got 2 stars.

Good potential atmosphere was ruined by lots of screaming kids. Our waitress was excellent. Saturday lunchtime is best avoid if you don't have kids. Maybe we were just unlucky.

Had a lovely visit here while in Glasgow for a day trip yesterday - staff were friendly, plenty of vegan options for me and the drink (passion fruit sparkler) was delicious. Food and drinks came out quickly and tasted gorgeous. Will definitely be back.

We attended for a family members birthday, there was 6 of us in the party so we were prepared to be spending a reasonable amount. The restaurant wasn't busy when we were first in. Our drinks order was wrong, we had to ask 4 times to have it replaced and to even recieve half of our parties drinks. Other tables were receiving theirs and we got our food befoee half the party even had their drink. Both on main course and dessert one member from the party order was missing. Dessert took in excess of 25mins to arrive after ordering. Two of the desserts were missing elements off of them but at this point we had enough and wanted to just head. The only saviours were the food was yummy (main course), and the management male on shift. After a bad experience in zizzis down in chester oaks also, i am left questioning if it is a staff training issue as the food is what has made us return but after now 2 failed visits to the chain in 3 months, i think i will try out some other places 1st before returning for hopefully 3rd time lucky in terms of a great experience.

Worst Italian food I’ve ever tasted, could make a nicer bolognese at home. Pepperoni pizza is far too Smoky also. And they send the pizza uncut? Lazy much.

We booked a table for 4 (1 child) for 6.15pm. Arrived at 6.10pm. Some confusion over our table, was it ready? Did they actually have a table for us? That was sorted pretty quickly and we were seated at 6.15. By 6.35 we hadn't been approached for our drinks order or food choices. Asked a waitress who replied as soon as I finish this tables order I will come over. Not impressed! Appeared to lack staff. Drinks order taken and food order. Starters arrived around 15 mins later. No one approached to ask if everything was ok. 7.10 plates taken away. Noted the table behind us and to our right hadn't been cleared (in over 30 mins). 7.35 still no sign of our main meals. No sign of staff to ask. We went to the bar to ask what was the delay. Waitress approached us, food should be here in the next 20 mins!!! Not good enough. We had a 6 year old child with us who was hungry! As were the adults! The waitress seemed lost on how to reassure us - it was out of her hands understandably. We decided to take the bill and leave. Tables who arrived after us were eating their main meals! The manageress approached and apologised so many times. Agreed that the bill had been wiped. I stressed how there was a lack of staff and she advised that this was an HQ choice. So complaint will also be sent to HQ. After all 8000 people x twice, attending a show at The Hydro in the afternoon and again at night and they didn't have the staff to manage the demand. Can't say that we would return again. And couldn't recommend food as we didn't get any 😩👎👎

Poor quality of food not the same as it use to be very poor quality. Staff not very friendly. Been b4 but wanted to come back and see if it had changed but was very disappointed as its in my local area to eat out. Wodent be back unfortunately. Will not be recomeding to my family and friends again .

Had the garlic bread and the pizza primavera. The bread was very good but the pizza was okay at best. On a non-busy night, the wait time was over an hour. Very friendly staff, though.

First time at Zizzi’s, but was not the best experience. Some of the items we ordered were great, (like the Truffle & Panceta Carbonara) but some others were quite forgettable (like the Primavera pizza, which was quite dry). The thing we disliked the most was how long it took for the food to arrive: 4 main courses took almost an hour to arrive, and it was just a pasta dish, a single pizza, a calzone and one final chicken dish. Overall the food is good but if you’re short on time, maybe look for another one.

We went for dinner by chance and were pleasantly surprised. The waiters very kind and friendly. And the pizza is delicious and the cheese and lemon cake is spectacular. For Glasgow, the prices are good. Highly recommended!!

Unfortunately it was so loud due to the staff at the pizza bar banging pots and utensils everywhere, we couldn't hear ourselves talk to each other. Pizzas could have been better, very dry, little cheese and a scraping of sauce. City centre zizzis is better

We used to come regularly when living in the west end and now only occasionally when visiting. We’ve been here twice in the last month and whilst hints of the issues surrounding slow service picked up in recent reviews we enjoyed our visits. We like the rustica pizzas. There is a new mushroom one with mushrooms like pulled beef my wife likes and I like the primavera. The same manager seems to have been here for a while and he seems on top of things. It was comfortably busy but not full on both our visits. Staff were nice.

Poor quality, prepackaged off site, inauthentic. Do not order the mushroom risotto! The website shows a beautiful photo of a nice looking risotto - rich, white, creamy with plump grains of rice and garnished with glossy mushrooms and sage. What rocked up at the table was a plate of grey slop, about the consistency and texture of runny porridge. There were no discernible mushrooms and I could barely find a complete grain of rice. I put my fork through it and it all just ran through leaving nothing solid to put in my mouth. All I had to do was say ‘excuse me’ to the nice young waiter and he immediately said ‘of course, I’ll take that away’ so it’s clearly a known issue. A waitress advised me that’s just how it arrives on site, prepackaged and virtually inedible. We also ordered £5 mocktails that essentially looked like a tumbler of diluting juice. The fonduta starter was disappointing and heavy on bread items but at least I wasn’t starving after that pile of bland stodge.

Hi, just ordered 2 pizza to pick up and I’m very disappointed what pizza I got on the box.I hade many times pizza from zizi but this one never saw before,pizza I ordered into restaurant doesn’t have the toppings that is described and I ordered before.

Service was awful. Not one person asked if we wanted drinks until we asked to order food. 40 minutes without a drink despite asking several times. They even informed us that we only had a ‘slot’ and would have to hurry. 9 people on a staff night out and they only managed to get one round of drinks and 2 courses from them. They certainly didn’t know how to sell. If I owned the restaurant I’d be furious. So much wasted time where the customer wasn’t spending or being served. The restaurant wasn’t full and the food service was super slow and came in dribs and drabs. The squid was good, probably bought in frozen but a good quality one well cooked. The prawns were cold and hence pretty bland. The rustica pizza was nice but not really a pizza, more a flat bread with toppings. Way too expensive for what it was. Definitely won’t go back. Nothing unique or special about this place. The staff were pleasant enough but lacked leadership and efficiency.

Overall quite disappointing We should’ve known when we arrived for a pre-booked table and were left standing at the entrance for approaching 10 minutes without any acknowledgment. We had to go and grab the guy at the bar to sort us out. The restaurant wasn’t half full at 7:30 on Saturday night and began to empty after we arrived. Tables were a riot of used and uncleared dishes. Staff were running about mad without any direction or, mostly, standing looking at the kitchen, waiting for things to be sent out, and ignoring the customers. It took us until 8:08 until our drinks arrived. Our starters arrived quickly thereafter and then a few minutes later they arrived again before they realised their mistake. The food was unremarkable and fine but the chaos of the organisation was palpable. This impacted on our experience and we left very disappointed. We won’t bother coming back, there are so many better places. The management obviously haven’t staffed the place properly and weren’t running it well which is a shame.

My son bought from here tonight it must be the worst I've ever had pizza was cold and burnt bag of chips if you can call it that a hand full of frozen hard chips were over cooked and inedible. The delivery guy must have know they were frozen handing them over. I think he couldn't find the address my son had to go out to look for him told my son to call yous himself he said it was uber eats that deliverd it Never Buy From Here Again!! Wouldn't eat it if it was free!

Eaten here with friends and family numerous times. Never disappoints. Good food, good service, recommended.

Zizzis have really reduced portion size and the 5 layer lasagna was so small I doubt it had more than 2 layers! Overpriced and undersized food, what a shame, I used to love Zizzis. It was also very cold in the restaurant so I'm guessing money is a problem for the chain? The staff were lovely, just as well, but won't be back any time soon.

We have been to this restaurant on several occasions and enjoyed the food. On this occasion (14 October), however, we had a lengthy wait before we could place our order, and after 40 minutes no food had yet arrived. Reminded staff on several occasions, only to be assured that ours was the next meal to be delivered. It never was, and together with our infant grand-children, we left after an hour. I might have let it pass, as an exception, but have just learned that my son-in-law had a marble in his salad last night. Waiting staff fine, but something has gone seriously wrong in the kitchen!

Absolutely terrible. Went for a girls lunch with pals and came back unfulfilled famished with a hole in our pockets. The pizzas where tiny and what some may call “anaemic ” and the bolognaise was extremely diluted and practically vegetarian. Tiny portions and extortionate prices....

High points were the pasta crisps, the arancini, the courgette fritte and the fondue Kitchen timings were a bit off, hence 3/5

We where the only customers in the restaurant and the staff took 15 minutes to come take our order despite us constantly attempting to get they’re attention they only came when we got up and went to tell them we’d like to order. The food is good and the staff is friendly though not very attentive. Prices are slightly above reasonable though not outrageous by any means.

Went for an unplanned late lunch yesterday. The restaurant was empty, just two of us and one other table, however, the service was shocking. Our server was fantastic, but took 20 minutes to receive our starter. When it came to getting the bill, we sat for 30 minutes and no one came near us, after going to the bar and asking for the bill, it took a good 15/20 minutes to receive it. The food was decent and the servers friendly, but they seem to be taking too many takeout orders and it’s impacting the in venue service.

Do not order off Uber eats, took over an hour to arrive and was stone cold, which was concerning considering it was supposed to be a meat feast and It looked nothing like advertised on the menu. Not ever remotely close, it was like a different pizza all together. Tiny little pizza with hardly anything on it for £17? Overpriced and totally not worth it, feeling hungry and disappointed.

Graduation family meal. We all had a great time and staff made everything extra special.

For years we've been happy with Zizzis, then got bored with their menu. The last visit was in Cardiff where we walked out after it took so long to take our order in a not so busy restaurant. However, yesterday we managed to order our lunch. The calamari were good, the mushrooms on bruschetta starters also were acceptable. But just as we expected the mains to arrive we were, rather late, told, there was no beef chianti ragu. Rush on? Err no, it was only about 12 and the three other tables weren't eating it. Anyway, when the bolognese replacement arrived it was its usual quality, which I quite like if I'm honest. My mother was Italian, I know my pasta. However, The salmon? oh dear the salmon. I tried it and gave her half my main in the end. I like salt, but my goodness, had I taken my blood pressure after eating it, the Mercury would have shot out and gone into low earth orbit. You can see from the images the carbonara was curdled with small lumps and not creamy. Was it reheated while the ragu replacement was being replaced? Perhaps we should have rejected it on arrival... Anyway the close up picture was what wasn't eaten in the end. They were apologetic and a generous discount added to the bill, but that's it for Zizzis for us now. We have a discount voucher for the Zizzi clone, Ask, let's see out that pans out next.

Husband and I had a lovely meal with great service Husband chose rustic pizza , with lots of extra toppings and I had the seafood linguine, very authentic and delicious. Great service and will have no hesitation in returning

Great food and friendly service in a lovely setting.

Myself and 9 friends ate here yesterday. The food mainly was lovely but 3 of our meals were below standard. The sea food pasta had no / very little seafood in it and pasta was dry. The manager was ?Katie(petite with dark hair). She was very apologetic, responsive and went above and beyond to make it right! Couldn't have asked for more. The rest of the staff were lovely too and all were attentive and worked vey hard. Everyone else enjoyed their food and wouldn't let it spoil us for returning in future. Well done

I have to put 1 star since 0 doesn't exist. We got food poisoning, the pasta were not well cooked and the sauce is obviously defrosted just like the Risotto. There were several items on the menu that were not available and the waiter had to keep getting back to us with apologies about the lack of food availability. The only good side was the service as the waiter was adorable, though the other staff members were not agreeable.

Wanted to get a pizza here yesterday with my friend. Staff was really quite rude. We saw a pizza on the kitchen counter and asked which kind of pizza it was because it looked good. The waitress then told us off and said to look at the menu and subsequently ignored us by turning her back to us in stead of taking our order. We ended up leaving and going somewhere else. Never had such an unpleasant restaurant experience before.

Our waitress was actually fantastic. It wasn't busy, but it took FOREVER for our food or drinks to come. When our food finally came, the portions were a bit on the small side. We'd asked for parmesan , waited so long the food got cold, finally had to eat it and then the parmesan came - too late - and we'd asked twice. So all in all was a huge disappointment, but I can't fault our waitress as we'd asked others for the elusive parmesan. The fact it was a super sunny hot day and we sat outside made it a more pleasant experience. Not sure we'll be back to be honest

Went for lunch today, was welcomed by a friendly blonde lady. The part of the restaurant we requested to sit in was unavailable due to the roof having came in which was disappointing however the food made up for that :) beautiful meal and friendly staff. Definitely would recommend 👌

The worst service iv ever experienced in my life. Staff didn't acknowledge us for the first hour. Drinks and starters came over an hour later. Completely ignored. Waitress laughed at me when I asked for a sauce separately. No sign of mains 2.5 hours later and ended up cancelling them. No apology, no explanation. We just left and got food somewhere else at 11pm

Busy place your friendly staff. Portions are huge. Almost couldn't finish our meals! Kids menu is good too, adequate for the young ones and offers ice cream too which is a great way to end a delicious meal. Accepts Tastecard which gives a discount on starter and main course. Will be back!

Really poor...couldn't eat the food. The veggie lasagne was cooked in microwave and was so tough and salty that I couldn't eat it. I got the wrong fries. Have requested my money back from Just Eat

Paesano Pizza,the original way,oblong shape served on a wooden platter;thin crispy base, hardly any crust,just the way it should be,let the veg.,&meat shine through.Very big place,bit industrial,spaceus,no earbashing like George Square,takeover of Jamie Oliver's restraunt.Kid friendly,no cackling or shouting,could talk.Hidden down lane off Byers road,a gem.Cresswell lane near Andaluz,Tapas .Ask for a thin base& little or no crust,proper Pizza.They give the kids ears a chance;no naff unnecessary music .The Crustinator struck again,she cut the meagre crust off;I made a log cabin out of them.

Hmmmmm, pretty average to be honest. Pizzas undercooked, sent back the seabass which was a shocker, to be fair staff dealt with that very well. Was a quiet Tuesday night so whole place lacking atmosphere. Just seemed really pricey for the quality of food on offer. Almost £16 for a Calzone? Ouch!....plus tip automatically added to the bill which is a practise not a fan of, only after realised had inadvertently tipped a mediocre experience. Zizzi used to be a solid choice, much better independents on offer now.

I had a great pizza tonight in Zizzi’s west-end. The atmosphere was good and the staff were excellent. The choice of beer was disappointing - nothing local or even Scottish (nor Italian for that matter).

Great Italian food spegettie carbonara is a must have its delicious. Great atmosphere and friendly helpful staff . Well worth poping in for a bite to eat also reasonably priced for the quality off food you get and good sized portion's too .

Visited midweek and didn’t feel there was much atmosphere. Service was really slow unfortunately, despite it being very quiet. You were encouraged to use the app/ scan a QR code to order but the first question was table number and our table didn’t have a...

A very disappointing experience. I have been before a number of times and therefore had higher expectations. We understood that it was a busy night in the run up to Christmas but that did not forgive the poor service. Although we were booked we were shown to a table that seemed to be in a waiting area instead of the main dining area. The garden style bench was wobbly and not just slightly but to the point that it felt like my friends were going to fall off or be seasick...in the end we moved it away ourselves and got a chair. . We were then forgotten about, as was it seemed everyone else in this small bottom area were too. Eventually got to order. Was told there were no small breads available to go with my prawn starter but no alternative offered.... and then another long wait. Our drinks only arrived after we asked for them once starter served. My prawn starter arrived and looked very impressive so full marks there but without bread the sauce was too spicy to eat alone once I'd polished off the 4 prawns. One friend described her starter as underwhelming and felt that half her cheese was missing. We were then forgetten about again until a young boy arrived with our mains. However no one had cleared away our starter or asked if everything was okay. He was very apologetic and got things cleared away quickly but as we had no cutlery my friends mains started getting cold while waiting for my main to arrive and to get a chance to ask for cutlery. Very disorganised but the young boy/man was again very helpful. My friend found her pasta bland and tasteless but the two who had pizzas enjoyed them and I found my wild boar pizza excellent. No one came to see us again and never asked if we wanted dessert. We asked for the bill ourselves.

Zizzi is always a good option for a tasty family meal. This venue is lovely and has a nice feel to it. The service was excellent

Lunch time visit for a friend's birthday - starters and mains enjoyed by both of us - food tasted fresh and flavorsome - vest lasagne I've tasted in a long while - nice friendly service too. Will def return

Quite large space restaurant. Pizza was very good。but I like the lasagna most. Good environment. We ordered a pizza , lasagna, a dessert brownie and two glass wines. Around 50pounds. But students have a discount if you have UNiDAYS.

Given the number of alternatives in the area, really surprised this place was so busy. Full of noisy kids and families, so I guess the food standards don't need to be that high. Menu options look decent for casual Italian-style dining but the food itself...
