Really enjoyed the food, nice staff and clean. It's a bit pricey but I guess it was worth it.

first time at the restaurant we where the only customers in the restaurant and the staff took 15 minutes to come take our order despite us constantly attempting to get they’re attention they only came when we got up and went to tell them we’d like to order. The food is good and the staff is friendly though not very attentive. Prices are slightly above reasonable though not outrageous by any means. The second time we went it took over an hour to get our food despite a generally empty restaurant. the staff was disorganised and delayed with everything. even a simple coca cola took a half hour to be received. The manager is kind however the staff is completely disorganised. will not be coming back and i cannot recommend coming here unless you want to waste 2-3 hours of your time. Not only is the food late it is bland at best and the ingredients are unbalanced.

Stuart is an amazing manager! Friendly and helpful throughout the whole lunch. Definitely will be coming back ! Garlic bread was surprisingly full of garlic flavor and the portion sizes were very good. Not too much or too little!

I got a delivery at lunchtime yesterday from here. Food was delivered hot and was delicious. Would absolutely recommend here and will definitely be back very soon.

This is a lovely restaurant. Just off of Byers road. They do a nice lunch time menu if you're not wanting to spend too much. The carbonara is delicious.

I like Zizzi. The food is always interesting and I love the desserts so it a shame that this restaurant is very poorly staffed. We waited 25 minutes and had to ask if someone would take our order . No apology, no recognition we had been ignored. This happens every time we go. I always hope it will be better. The restaurant itself is also very cold, even in summer. Food is often not freshly made and the prices are crazy so I only ever go if I have some sort of discount.

AVOID if you have a food allergy or dietary restrictions. My friend and I visited Zizzi in Glasgow West End for lunch, and unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing. My friend, who is vegan, informed the staff of her dietary preferences and was given the vegan menu. She ordered the vegan margherita pizza, but when it arrived, the cheese looked like dairy. We flagged this with the waitress, who assured us it was vegan. My friend, who hasn’t consumed dairy in years, could immediately tell it wasn’t, and even I, as a non-vegan, recognised the taste of dairy cheese. We alerted the waitress again, and after checking with the kitchen, she confirmed that the pizza had been mistakenly made with dairy cheese, not vegan. While we appreciated the offer of a free replacement, it’s crucial to acknowledge that this mistake could have had far more serious consequences if my friend had a severe dairy allergy. When the waitress came to collect the incorrect pizza, I asked if it was going to be thrown away. She confirmed it would be, and I suggested she leave it on the table, as I could have some slices with my pasta to prevent it from going to waste. She agreed, stating it would otherwise be discarded. When the new vegan pizza arrived, the manager simply dropped it on the table without an apology or any explanation. At the end of the meal, we were shocked to see we were charged for the vegan pizza, despite being told it would be provided free of charge due to the mix-up. When we raised this with the waitress, she casually responded, “Well, you had two pizzas.” But we only had two pizzas because of their mistake! After some back-and-forth, they did remove it from the bill, but there was no acknowledgment of the seriousness of the error or any genuine apology from the staff. Given the tragic story of Natasha Ednan-Laperouse, who died after an allergic reaction to peanuts from a Pret A Manger baguette, I expected much better awareness and care regarding food allergies and dietary restrictions. Thankfully, my friend wasn’t harmed, but this could have been life-threatening, and the restaurant’s response was deeply concerning. I will not be returning and strongly advise anyone with food allergies or dietary restrictions to proceed with caution here. For record the name of the waitress on our bill was “Romy”

Wow fantastic place. Both of us went with our son, daughter in-law and our 4 grandchildren age from 1-13 We ordered all mixed food dishes off the menu. The food was out of this world. So tasty. Kids loved it too

Great experience on Saturday 15th Dec. Had booked a table and explained when we arrived we had only 1 hour. Ordered a drink and a main course each. Drinks came swiftly. Manager looked to see if mains had come and then checked with kitchen. Mains followed swiftly and then Manager brought the bill before we had to ask. Very busy that night but both our server and the Manager were brilliant. Many thanks. Enjoyed our meal and arrived at our next venue with time to spare Thank you and Happy Christmas to you all .

Food was not great, 3 prawns in the pasta, not the best flavour, kids pizza was 6inch and my daughter never ate it as she said it was to hard, base not great. £35 ( excluding service tip) for kids pizza and ice cream, one soft drink and pasta with a side French fries. El entrante eran calamares muy cubiertos de cartón, seguramente de un paquete en el congelador. Las pizzas no tenían mucho sabor. La carbonara tenía una salsa que apenas se movía, si era de un paquete deberían llevarse el paquete de vuelta. Desiertos, habíamos perdido interés en esa etapa pero tampoco eran grandes. Ok,waited a few days to post review from 4 days ago. This was my sons birthday & he loves the calamari at Zizzi’s so off we went,table for 5 in the most uncomfortable small hard chairs you’ll ever feel on your rear end! One way of not getting you to hang around. It took a good 15 mins for our drinks order to be taken,after the soft drinks were given the wine sat,sat,sat on the counter so eventually my daughter got up and brought it over. We looked at the menus and some went for the Xmas set menu & others normal. First off 7 tables were in incl us,we saw huge amounts of food going out the door with the manager dipping in and helping a stressed out guy get things boxed up to the severe detriment of sit in diners. All staff had the focus on take out before sit in. The wait was unacceptable,the manager was distracted as he took our order and my husbands GF order which was sent back. Good bits- calamari,which was ordered as a large but came out in 2 small portions. But it was fresh and very tasty. The Arancini was 3 pieces with 0 salad,poor for the price. Bad- poor portions on the Xmas set,my daughter had 2 slices of my pizza as she was still hungry. The rest was ok,fair play to the guy in the kitchen he was knocking out those pizzas etc for delivery with gusto! The poor hygiene of the manager taking order Collecting plates,serving then dipping in to help in the kitchen didn’t go unoticed. It didn’t feel like a restaurant like it used to,the constant arrival of guys on bikes was a distraction. We refused to pay the the 22 quid tip. It was amended. Would we go again?No.

I popped in for lunch with my mum and daughter . The food was warm and fresh and the wine was cold. Great Saturday afternoon atmosphere ! We got risotto, spag bol and roast chicken pasta and ended up sharing all 3. Everything was delish! For dessert we had tiramisu and a chocolate Sundae. I could also eat the pasta crisps all day! I will definitely return.

Soy un amante total de la pasta y visité Zizzis por primera vez hoy con mi madre y mi hija. Gran opción en el menú, pero fui por pasta de pollo asado. Mi madre comió risotto de salmón y mi hija comió spag bol. Terminamos compartiendo los 3 platos y eran encantadores! Fresco y cálido y un gran ambiente. El personal era amable. Nos sirvió Stuart. El brownie de caramelo salado es imprescindible y podría mordisquear las patatas fritas de pasta todo el día.

Food good, apparently you order and pay exclusively on your phone now by scanning a code at the table but it wasn't working for us. We ordered via staff though which was fine. The food is always decent at Zizzi.

We were pleasantly surprised. Very good quality pizzas. Expand vegetarian and vegan options, good delivery service! Quality - price for Glasgow, excellent. Next time we want to go to the local.

There was at least 32 of our family here together with our Canadian visitors and I could not fault it especially our server Joanne. Couldn’t believe how all our food came out at practically the same time and she was a whizz in the drink service too xxx thank you so much xx

We had a family dinner last night with a group of about 32 people, and the experience was wonderful! Joanna, our server, was outstanding—friendly, attentive, and knew exactly who ordered what as she brought out each dish. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the food was delicious. This is my 'go to' restaurant when I'm visiting Scotland and staying in the West End of Glasgow. This time I booked by text for one night and it was so good, I booked in person for a second night. Great place, bright and spacious with high ceilings and a busy open kitchen. Good atmosphere. I think it's a converted GPO / Royal Mail sorting office. Good choice of food options, drinks too and friendly, helpful, informed, attentive staff. Had the sea bass one evening and a pizza the next, both followed by desserts,plus a beer and good wine. Special mention to Grace Stewart and her colleagues who were on duty when I visited on 30 & 31 August, who made everything run smoothly, despite being very busy. Thank you.

The pepperoni pizza was a nice, thin crust, but flavorless. At checkout, the waitress sprung it on me that they were card only. I only had cash. I have her $30 on a $23 tab and she returned saying the cash payment was fine! I called her back to request my change, and she said they were unable to give me any. After a hassle, the “manager” said she would “take money out of her own purse” to give me my rightful change back. It was an odd exchange, especially for mediocre pizza.

Great lunch, fabulous food and the Manager was very helpful and friendly. We had starter, main and drinks for under £20.

Would highly recommend this spot anyone looking for amazing food and service that is second to none, the pizza's are of the highest quality and the staff are very friendly and go out their way to make sure your needs are satisfied, also look out for the manager Stuart who is a complete gentleman who went out his way to make my experience top drawer. We had dinner here last week. Excellent food; The starters were terrific and the thin base pizzas are way above average. This is a big open restaurant, airy with a very nice ambience. The service was outstanding. Romy and Louise were out servers and both were highly efficient, attentive, pleasant and always smiling. 10/10 for both of them.

Busy Saturday night & the kitchen could not cope. Garlic bread didn't have any garlic flavour. Spicy chicken pizza - didn't eat chicken as quality so poor. Sea bass was burnt, so couldn't eat most of it. We ordered side salad, but they brought it when we had finished the mains. The waiting staff were professional & friendly, but the four of us were disappointed & will not return.

Really good Zizzis if you are ever in the west end.

Popped in tonight with my husband for a quick bite. We had prawn linguine and mushroom risotto. Both were very tasty! After the meal I had a coffee. It was delicious. We were served by the new manager Stuart. Food and service was fantastic. The restaurant itself had a lovely buzz about it. We will return.

What a brilliant place for tasty food! Emma Louise was our server and she went above & beyond to ensure we had the best experience we could have. A member of our party has a dairy intolerance, and Emma was incredibly helpful with the allergens and ensured that all their food was suitable for them. Will definitely be back!!

Pizzas were ok but very little topping for the cost of the pizza ! As for the very over priced pasta dishes , let’s just say I make much better at home . Service was fine although we waited forever for our mains . I will not be back .

Disgusting 🤢, maybe they just didn't try because they were doing a deal on Uber eats, but WOW , Bolognese fries were bland and had mushy paper mixed into it and half cooked chips , pulled pork chips were bland also with little pork and little honey , macaroni was bland and dry with very little chorizo , chilli wings were mushy and left me nervous to eat more a little pink on some Inside too , can forget coming here again so we'll done Zizzi! 💨

Love this restaurant staff are excellent and food same. We came here after having a disappointed lunch in Princess sq Glasgow and I can’t fault this restaurant or staff. Food was excellent well presented and really good portions. Great value for money. The Manager of this restaurant has to be congratulated on his excellent manner towards customers he was so helpful and very courteous dealing with us and made a lovely lunch exceptional we can’t wait to come back thank you for accommodating us at such short notice and again for all your attentiveness. It didn’t go unnoticed a terrific restaurant and terrific staff esp the lady who served us. Thank you.

The food was nice despite having a lot of chilly in my sea bass. Mocctails not worth it the price. The service was varied. One very young blonde lady was running around trying to help everyone and another one brunette was not interested whatsoever. Her face was tripping and she was complaining about something to a young gentleman who seemed to be in charge. Taking to consideration it was Easter Sunday and it was busy. In general seems like this place in under staffed.

We asked to sit outside since we had our dog with us and we combined tables together ourselves, went inside asked to get menu. The staff brought menus and through menus at us so rudely and I asked her to send another staff to take our orders since she was so disrespectful and unprofessional. I asked to see the manager and she said I am the manager and I will get another manager to come. The customer service and the way she treated us was so rude and we decided to leave and end up not having any food! Do not recommend! The staff’s name was Louis! It’s an absolute shame since she said she’s one of the managers and what a poor management to have someone this un polite to serve customers!!!

Family dinner here and staff, food and everything else was perfect. We were served by Karen and nothing was a problem for her. Food was great and good portion sizes. We can’t wait to come back

The service was outstanding, we regrettably don't remember the name of our waitress, however her tattoos were really cool. Her service was outstanding and we had an amazing time. The food was amazing, the garlic bread with mozzarella and caramelized balsamic onions was out of this world!

Pizza home delivery was late, very cold, did not have any toppings, just a crispy pitta bread, it was like eating a giant crisp. Worst pizza experience in my life.

Would love to write a review about the food but got turned away at the door for having a voucher. We wouldn’t have been visiting Zizi’s if it wasn’t for having a voucher. The voucher was only £20 so barely covered one main and we would have been spending a fair amount on top of the voucher. Had a table booked so it’s not as if they would have filled the table anyway. The restaurant was half empty as well so they just lost money and lost a customer. Server at the door was rude. Much better non-chain Italian restaurants for cheaper prices in the area. Avoid.

Visited this restaurant for the third time a couple of days ago. First two times we thoroughly enjoyed it. I don't know what happened on Tuesday, perhaps it is the chefs night off. Just over a week ago I had the Chicken Cabrees dish it was so good I ordered it this time, so did my wife. It was completely different from the previous week. The chicken was like rubber, it tasted like it had quickly been defrosted and cooked in the microwave, and the added to the dish. The week before it had nice potatoes and other vegetables, and topped with Mascarpone. Not this time. I left half my chicken, my wife didn't finish hers. Had pains in my stomach next morning. It was horrible, and we decided we will not be back. How the same dish can be excellent one week and horrible the next is beyond me. The waitress was friendly and helpful, but the food let it down this time. We should really have sent it back.

Can't fault the food, but the service was terrible. The server who seated and took our order seemed to be offended that we were there for some reason. Constant scowl and took orders from other tables before us. Ruined the atmosphere and put off coming back.

Good potential atmosphere was ruined by lots of screaming kids. Our waitress was excellent. Saturday lunchtime is best avoid if you don't have kids. Maybe we were just unlucky.

Had a lovely visit here while in Glasgow for a day trip yesterday - staff were friendly, plenty of vegan options for me and the drink (passion fruit sparkler) was delicious. Food and drinks came out quickly and tasted gorgeous. Will definitely be back.

We attended for a family members birthday, there was 6 of us in the party so we were prepared to be spending a reasonable amount. The restaurant wasn't busy when we were first in. Our drinks order was wrong, we had to ask 4 times to have it replaced and to even recieve half of our parties drinks. Other tables were receiving theirs and we got our food befoee half the party even had their drink. Both on main course and dessert one member from the party order was missing. Dessert took in excess of 25mins to arrive after ordering. Two of the desserts were missing elements off of them but at this point we had enough and wanted to just head. The only saviours were the food was yummy (main course), and the management male on shift. After a bad experience in zizzis down in chester oaks also, i am left questioning if it is a staff training issue as the food is what has made us return but after now 2 failed visits to the chain in 3 months, i think i will try out some other places 1st before returning for hopefully 3rd time lucky in terms of a great experience.

Worst Italian food I’ve ever tasted, could make a nicer bolognese at home. Pepperoni pizza is far too Smoky also. And they send the pizza uncut? Lazy much.

We booked a table for 4 (1 child) for 6.15pm. Arrived at 6.10pm. Some confusion over our table, was it ready? Did they actually have a table for us? That was sorted pretty quickly and we were seated at 6.15. By 6.35 we hadn't been approached for our drinks order or food choices. Asked a waitress who replied as soon as I finish this tables order I will come over. Not impressed! Appeared to lack staff. Drinks order taken and food order. Starters arrived around 15 mins later. No one approached to ask if everything was ok. 7.10 plates taken away. Noted the table behind us and to our right hadn't been cleared (in over 30 mins). 7.35 still no sign of our main meals. No sign of staff to ask. We went to the bar to ask what was the delay. Waitress approached us, food should be here in the next 20 mins!!! Not good enough. We had a 6 year old child with us who was hungry! As were the adults! The waitress seemed lost on how to reassure us - it was out of her hands understandably. We decided to take the bill and leave. Tables who arrived after us were eating their main meals! The manageress approached and apologised so many times. Agreed that the bill had been wiped. I stressed how there was a lack of staff and she advised that this was an HQ choice. So complaint will also be sent to HQ. After all 8000 people x twice, attending a show at The Hydro in the afternoon and again at night and they didn't have the staff to manage the demand. Can't say that we would return again. And couldn't recommend food as we didn't get any 😩👎👎

Poor quality of food not the same as it use to be very poor quality. Staff not very friendly. Been b4 but wanted to come back and see if it had changed but was very disappointed as its in my local area to eat out. Wodent be back unfortunately. Will not be recomeding to my family and friends again .

First time at Zizzi’s, but was not the best experience. Some of the items we ordered were great, (like the Truffle & Panceta Carbonara) but some others were quite forgettable (like the Primavera pizza, which was quite dry). The thing we disliked the most was how long it took for the food to arrive: 4 main courses took almost an hour to arrive, and it was just a pasta dish, a single pizza, a calzone and one final chicken dish. Overall the food is good but if you’re short on time, maybe look for another one.

Had the garlic bread and the pizza primavera. The bread was very good but the pizza was okay at best. On a non-busy night, the wait time was over an hour. Very friendly staff, though.

We went for dinner by chance and were pleasantly surprised. The waiters very kind and friendly. And the pizza is delicious and the cheese and lemon cake is spectacular. For Glasgow, the prices are good. Highly recommended!!

Unfortunately it was so loud due to the staff at the pizza bar banging pots and utensils everywhere, we couldn't hear ourselves talk to each other. Pizzas could have been better, very dry, little cheese and a scraping of sauce. City centre zizzis is better

We used to come regularly when living in the west end and now only occasionally when visiting. We’ve been here twice in the last month and whilst hints of the issues surrounding slow service picked up in recent reviews we enjoyed our visits. We like the rustica pizzas. There is a new mushroom one with mushrooms like pulled beef my wife likes and I like the primavera. The same manager seems to have been here for a while and he seems on top of things. It was comfortably busy but not full on both our visits. Staff were nice.
