Zucca Piada Bar in South Lanarkshire

Went for breakfast and decided on the Italian cheese and ham toastie. The ham was cheap ham out of a supermarket and the cheese was very cheap, poor advertising and won’t be back

I recently visited here for lunch with my son - amazing pizza and they also catered to my son’s dietary requirements.

I had a chicken club ciabatta the bread was nice! The bacon was barely cooked but alarmingly the chicken on one side was pink so I discarded that part and persevered but on the other half the centre of the chicken was actually still bloody. I told the waitress who took it back to the chef who said it was fine and just a vein. Disgusting. They took £1.79 off the bill. We won’t be back

Myself My wife and my daughter went for dinner here last week . My starter was chicken in batter it was raw in the middle. I asked for a replacement which the waitress grudgingly gave me. What was even worse was the chefs that you can see through the service hatch started staring at my wife and muttering under there breath she felt very uncomfortable so much so that she didn't want to stay i will never eat in this restaurant again .very unprofessional staff

We tried here for lunch today,our first visit & definitely our last.Two staff taking orders,serving food & drinks,taking payments is totally inadequate.Our food was bland & overpriced.Give this place a wide berth if you’re looking to have an enjoyable lunch.

On a rare, surprise trip to East Kilbride, we stopped off for Lunch at this, new to us, Piada Bar. We were drawn by, being nosey OAP’s, as to what a Piada was!I chose a Cajun Chicken Piada, while my wife chose an Italian Club Piada. Both beautifully presented and extremely delicious and tasty. I finished with a bica, which was strong and piping hot - perfect for me.The young staff were friendly, courteous and highly efficient, which always adds to our overall experience. A very, very enjoyable Lunch.

Food excellent, arrived very quickly and staff very friendly. Open plan and very comfortable. Also offer decaf coffee, would highly recommend.

Great place if you love Zucca but want something a little different but with same quality and good service. Tried the Tacos which were good value at 3 for £5. Good choice on the menu so give it a go.

I visited the restaurant last Saturday and the food was delicious. The waitress serving me was very friendly and attentive. Overall the service was superb and I will definitely be back due to the excellent service and cuisine.

I eat here regularly and have found the service and food to be of an excellent standard. Friendly relaxed atmosphere and a varied menu means that it caters for everyone

Food was the best food I had in a long time. I ordered the Cajun chicken Piada and it was delicious! The staff were a delight, so pleasant and upbeat- always there to help. Definitely the place to go for easy food that will fill you up!

My husband and I went here for lunch. First of all we were told that they could only take a drinks order and when we asked if we could order food we were told it’s drinks only and I’ll come back. Bit strange. I ordered the Thai beef piada which when it turned up was a soggy mess and not at all what was described on the menu. When the staff asked if our meal was ok when we’d finished (it was obvious that I’d had one bite) I said that it was soggy and had extra ingredients and sauce from what the menu stated. She spoke to the chef who we could see (open kitchen) who laughed initially then shrugged his shoulders and made offensive gestures. The member of staff never came back to our table so we went up to the till to pay. So much for table service. The staff member at the till was very pleasant but the girl who’d been serving us avoided eye contact and hovered about seemingly unsure what to do. We left having paid a full bill with no feedback or explanation from any of the staff. It was as if they had no experience at all in dealing with customers. Really shocking way to run a business. Needless to say we’ll never be back!

Popped in here for breakfast and must admit I thoroughly enjoy my Scottish Breakfast which was a deal for 2 for £10. Could not fault the staff or the time we waited for our food. Will be back.

We normally go to Cova when we go to East Kilbride but decided to try somewhere different. I ordered a Ham Piada which arrived quickly and looked tasty. However, after taking one bite a caterpillar crawled out and across my plate. My husband called the waitress who came over, picked my plate up without an apology and then called from the kitchen that they were making me a fresh one. After the caterpillar I didn't really want another one. A couple of minutes later someone who didn't introduce herself (the manager?) came to the table. She did apologise but then went on to say that they do get insects in the salad sometimes and suggested that there's nothing that can be done to stop this happening.

Had lunch here for the second time as I'm fond of the Piadas that they sell.

Great wee restaurant. 'Zucca' have a ristorante right across from this place and one in the village but this place is the best of the 3. More informal and serves up something different than the other 2. Also the pizza in here is genuinely the best pizza I have had in ek and possibly in Glasgow. Best of all it's honestly priced unlike the restaurant chains at the other side of the shopping centre in 'the hub'. Fantastico!!

Tried out this restaurant for the first time today and I'm pleased to say this was a pleasant enough.

Love this place, quick, super tasty and wonderful staff! Everything is delicious and even the side salads taste superb! :)

Looking for somewhere to have a quick bite to eat.you should try this place, The service was excellent,food freshly made and plenty of it.Our first visit and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal I had the chicken piada with a side salad,which was delicious.My husband had the burger with chips.They were very generous with the servings and the price was good too.Staff are very friendly and chatted away even though the place was very busy for a Saturday afternoon.Next time we are in EK we will definatley pop in here for lunch

We travel in Italy every year and we love Emilia Romagna. To find several dishes that we love & recognise in deepest EK was a great surprise & pleasure. We sat & watched the staff and they certainly know what they are doing ... our salads were created on the spot from quality ingredients, and they were authentic, ample, tasty & affordable. The owners have a great philosophy to their menu and everything is freshly prepared for all to see. Let’s hope more local people recognise what a treasure they have on their doorsteps ...!

Eat at Zucca often( been a regular since it opened) but not always in the Piada bar, had been promising hubby I would take him for their breakfast skillet, so that is what we did last Sunday. Food is always consistently very good here, and staff are lovely and so welcoming. Great with kids too. Very accommodating as our little one wanted pancakes(not on the piada bar menu) but chef made them for her anyway! The skillets are delicious, my favourite is the Milano with Italian sausage and hollandaise. Lovely coffee here too!

Really good piada, nice omelette with cheese and mushroom, served fresh!!! The service was great, all in all, an excellent first visit, will definitely be back!!!💫💫

This is a good eating place with good service and atmosphere. The staff are all very helpful and the menu is wide and varying. The food we had was well presented and tasted good.

Wow... You don't get many eateries in shopping centres that are this good! Superb staff, excellent food and such a nice atmosphere. Waiter recommended the steak piada.. Outstanding and even the side salads were super tasty too! Really impressed! :)

Different class Best pizza in the west of Scotland Comes with a homemade hot sauce Staff friendly..... I've been a few times... food is always fresh and delicious.... Great selection on the piadas .....

visited here last Saturday 5.11.16 about 11.45, just as the breakfast service was finishing. waited in a small queue for a seat which wasn't a problem. taken to our table by very pleasant waiter, given menus and then left for 20 minutes. No-one came to take our order, apologise for the delay - nothing. when I looked round I noticed the majority of the remaining diners were either waiting to order, waiting for a bill or waiting for food. one table in particular seemed to have been waiting for ages and was told the kitchen had lost their order. I was so disappointed. Zucca Bistro is lovely and has great service, I don't know what happened here, almost as it they stopped everything on the changeover from breakfast to lunch. on our way out they even said 'have a nice day', I don't think they were aware of what was going on!

Stopped in for a late lunch rather than the usual cova just to see what it was all about... Really tasty piadas you should give them a try interesting flavoursome lunch option and a bit different from your usual light lunch. Great service from the Manager who even gave my girlfriend a free lemon meringue crumble dessert to try as he was clearly aware she had been eying it up the whole time she was in!

Place always busy so you know food is fresh. Really enjoyable, good value, great service. A really good choice of menu and pizza/pasta combo is particularly excellent. Reward card for free meal after several minutes adds to visit!

Doing what Zucca do best. Pizza was the best I've had in East Kilbride for a longtime. (Highly recommend pizza) Can not fault the staff or service. First class. Keep it up Zucca. 5*

The staff were all very welcoming, and the food was amazing, I basically had a traditional breakfast with a spicy sauce all within a Piada wrap (A Piada is is a thin Italian flatbread), whilst my wife had an omelette, both were very tasty and great value. Very filling. Oh! and the coffee was great to.
