spot on family restaurant, great staff, lots of fun play for the kids. food was great as was the service.

Always loved Di Maggios before the refurb. I've been a couple of times since, and it's okay, but the food isn't as good as it was in the past. Service can be patchy unless it's quiet, but a big no no for me is the automatic 8% tip they add to the bill, regardless of group size. My most recent trip (29Jan) saw us (2 people) arrive 6pm on a Tuesday. Initial service was good - order taken quickly and the starter was out quickly. We got the Louisiana wings to share. They were really not hot at all, and this has been the case the past few times. Really small wings too. The badass wings were legendary many years ago - very saucy, and very hot. And very painful if you had any exposed cut on your fingers. Progressively they seem to have been toned down, even before the refurb. The wings yesterday, however, were so dry with minimal sauce applied, and therefore not hot at all. Perhaps applied as a mist rather than a sauce. The plate was virtually clean afterwards such was the lack of sauce, and what was left on the plate was more watery than saucy. 10 wings each and we were still starving. The plates were taken away quickly and mains out soon after. I had spag bol - it was great to be honest, but felt a bit stingy on the amount. While it's a deepish bowl, there wasn't much and I was done in a couple of minutes. My son had the lasagne. Like the badass wings, the lasagne was legendary in the past. Yesterday, it was reasonable. But like the newer wings it felt quite dry inside it. Taste not amazing, quite a carroty taste in my opinion, but still good enough that it was finished. Good size though - no complaints on that. As a side note, and having had other meals as dine in and takeaway here, it does seem that anything with a sauce is given the bare minimum. I've had a few Mac and cheese (which I love) but they are a bit dry at times. At this point we were happy enough, but it's also at this point it went a bit downhill. The restaurant was fairly busy, but there were still a good number of staff running around. We wanted dessert, but it took about 40 minutes from finishing our main to be asked. After about 20 minutes, we tried to proactively catch someone to ask for the menu, but only succeeded after some time. Maybe we need to be more bold, but it seems that rather than certain staff dealing with certain tables, it just seems like all staff deal with all tables, so it's a bit chaotic. Dessert turned out to be nice (desserts always are) but we noticed it was sitting for a good 5 minutes on the counter and the bell was rung a few times before it was brought to us. Not great when a hot chocolate fudge cake is sitting with ice cream. Then we got the bill, and it came with an additional 8% tip already added. There was only 2 of us, and it's happened before, and this is a bit of a no no for me - I should decide if I tip based on service and how much. It's not a tip if it's already added on. I would always tip anyway, so I didn't complain and paid it, but it's little things like that which can put a negative ending on the experience, and can override any positives from your visit. And because it's already added, it doesn't seem as appreciated when payment is taken. In the end it was just a few pence under £70 for 2 people (including 3 drinks and the automatic tip). Put it this way, I typically don't leave reviews for food. But I felt I should, because how can a place improve if you don't share your experience.

Very pricey but food was decent

The food is amazing quality and tastes good too. Very good atmosphere chilled and the sound of people enjoying themselves. Owners have done reliant renovation. Have already been 4 times since it reopened. Definitely recommend .

This is a place for young families. Food is very basic. It was very noisy & certainly not a place for a nice quiet romantic meal. Didn't have Guinness Zero, which in this day & age is simply not acceptable. Personally, I won't be back.

We’ve had our Christmas Eve lunch at this di Maggio’s every year for 11 years and we were so disappointed this year. Service was really slow at points and as we were told we’d only have the table for 2 hours, this was going to be impossible given the wait. Two of us were given the wrong pasta dish, although staff were insistent that it was correct. It 100% wasn’t, we were given carbonara and. It what we ordered and one of the chicken pasta dishes had one single bit of chicken!! One of the starters, calamari, had to be sent back as it was inedible and like rubber. Some of the starters were cold. The macaroni had no taste. Just lots of little things like that made it a really poor experience & it didn’t even seem that busy compared to previous years. We were told immediately that they only have one type of lager so that’s what we’ll get. Rude. We also ordered drinks that just never arrived & then had to ask for it to be taken off the bill. Overall, it was just pretty disappointing to be honest. Our bill came to over £300 and it wasn’t worth half of that. And of course, they now add their own gratuity. Sadly, we’ve now called time on our wee di maggios Christmas Eve tradition and will need to look for somewhere else.

Went here for family dinner.. quick service, good food, excellent staff. Great for adults and kids. Children loved the play area.

Got an online delivery which on the last occasion was great. Spent over £50, food arrived 40 minutes late after phoning to check where it was, it was lukewarm with the cheese solidified on the pizza. Disappointed and won't be rushing to order again

I have known this place for many years and today I had dinner here again and I think the change suits them very well in every way. Good service, very good food and a great manager who makes sure everything goes well.I know Marious very well since the Atlantis restaurant. And he always looks out for all the clients. It was the lads Xmas day out. We booked a table for 3:15pm. The staff were excellent from the minute we walked in the door. We were shown to our table as soon as we arrived. The establishment was about 40% full and seen a few folk we knew. Staff were quick to get our drinks order and take our food order. We didn't have to wait long for the food to arrive. We ordered off the Xmas menu. The food was decent but the staff were outstanding. The drink flowed and was a good atmosphere.

Food is ok - standard Delivery service - terrible. We live around the corner it took a lifetime. Delivered everywhere and us last Staff are unpleasant and immature

Not cheap but very well cooked food

Location is actually really good. Great parking, ramp to door and ground floor seating makes it really accessible. Spacious inside and nice light decor, great for large party tables or booths for 6. Food was just about average unfortunately. The mushroom aranchini (pictured) was very good, creamy and flavorful. Ying yang chicken (pictured) we got as a starter. Chicken was fine but sauce was quite rich, doesn't go at all with the thousand island sauce you get with it. Very samey so glad i took it as a starter and not a main. We also had peppercorn chicken and veggies with fries, good and i had a tomato penne with roast chicken, this was the one that wasn't great. Needed salt/pepper and pasta was VERY all dente. All cooked well and came out hot but just nothing very stand-out about it for us. Drinks menu is good for cocktails and the disney star martini (mocktail) was very sweet but nice.

This is a large restaurant which attracts a lot of families with young children. The soft play area is a massive bonus for families. We were having a family reunion and there were about 25 people at our table. The restaurant managed to deal with this large booking really well - there wasn't a single mistake with our orders and I can't fault the service (although one dish arrived slightly cold, which was corrected promptly). The food was all really good, and represents good value for money. I would definitely return. Only slight downside was the noise levels. We visited at a time when there were lots of children and the noise from the soft play area was a bit intrusive. But this is only a small issue and was far outweighed by the benefit of being able to let our children play while the order was coming. Been to Di Maggios multiple times over years both the resturant and takeaway. Tonight we ordered two takeaway pizzas. One was salami. There was five small pieces of salami not even one piece per slice. Very poor.

Been lots of times. Last visit was less than standard we're used to. Had to return starter as sauce was watery. Normally would give 5 star.

Food and service lovely but the whole place is a play area. You’ll have kids running past your table jumping on chairs screaming running into you wrestling under your table. No parenting going on. Not acceptable when you’re paying to eat somewhere.

We used to love it here before they changed menu, whoever changed the diavolo pizza and the garlic mayo, I really hope bad things happen to you. They’ve literally took the three favourite thing I get away. Diavolo pizza or however it’s spelled, everything about it has changed! Garlic mayo has changed, it’s still ok. And they’ve took away the the one good desert the waffles. Could’ve actually cried, shame the staff are so nice and I really did like the way it used to be… please go back to the way it used to be. Also please clean your cutlery properly 😫 it was minging!

We ordered 1 set of dipping churros and 1 set of filled. Both arrived filled. Tasted great but not what we ordered.

The delivery was a bit delayed which we were notified of, which is helpful..it still arrived within the expected time frame - on the dot! Food was excellent

love the new take on the old menu. was in for dinner 2 nights ago, had the same as I ordered tonight, although I was disappointed that in restraunt u get veg with the peppercorn chicken, but not on here...duno why 🤷‍♀️ but apart from that the food was bangin 👌 chicken is melt in the mouth, sauce is stunning, and chips were decent too 👍 onion rings are expensive, but u get a lot in the bag

Thoroughly enjoyed my afternoon here celebrating my daughters 3rd birthday. Very good menu, food was very tasty and my daughter lived the soft play area indoors and the play area outdoors.

I recently visited DiMaggio's in East Kilbride, and while I was initially excited, my experience was unfortunately ruined by the behavior of the manager, Weronika. To start with the positives, the food was absolutely delicious – fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The rest of the staff were also fantastic, offering friendly and attentive service that made the meal enjoyable. However, Weronika's rude and unprofessional behavior completely overshadowed the otherwise great experience. Despite the excellent food and the efforts of the staff, her attitude negatively affected the atmosphere and left us feeling unwelcome. It’s a shame that such a wonderful team and great kitchen are being let down by poor management. Until Weronika's behaviour is addressed, I won’t be returning, as she ruined what could have been a pleasant evening. DiMaggio's has so much potential, and I hope this issue is taken seriously to improve the overall experience.

We love DiMaggios usually but the chicken dish was such a let down. A big dry overcooked breast! Most of it was left! Sauce was nice though.

Food wasn't that good. Also added a tip onto the bill. Didn't notice until we got home. Won't be back

First time visiting. Went there for lunch, food was good, had chicken wings, loaded fries and brushetta Chicken wings weren't that spicy, luisiana hot sauce wasn't spicy and was quite runny, not like the one you get at frenkies but it was still nice enough. I will go back to try pasta at some point

Normally excellent, was disappointed this time. Pizza was fine, but my YingYang main was wrong. I got sent a big tub of Thousand Island, and not Ying Yang sauce. The restaurant offered to recook it, which I accepted, and they sent just a tub of sauce. Meaning my ying yang chicken was cold by the time it got its actual sauce. It was nice but because of cold chicken it was spoiled unfortunately. A rare loss for di maggios this time.

There take away is great as well as sit in dinner

First visit since the refurb, I don’t think I’ll be back. We were seated for 30 minutes and were checked on all the time, it was a bit overkill. Felt really rushed, the food tasted like it wasn’t freshly made as it came out so quick and I felt sick afterwards. And who doesn’t slice a pizza before serving to a child! Gratuity tip should not be added onto the bill! This is a customer choice! Overall, I think I’d rather spend my money elsewhere, wish I had gone to carrigans!

This place has recently been refurbished and has a (very small) indoor soft play and outdoor play park. There are a lot of older kids in the soft play and it just isn't big enough for them. I would say age 5 max should be allowed but nobody polices it. The food is good to average, everything was very garlicky. It wasn't bad but it is by no means great Italian food. Kids menus, food and portions were all good.

It was a good pizza but it didn’t have all the toppings that it usually has, and I’ve had the same one when sitting in the restaurant so it was disappointing.

Lovely setting, just popped in for an ice cream, coffee and churros. Service was good very friendly waitress and manager. Only thing I’d say a service charge which is no issue for me as would have left a tip anyway but shouldn’t be on a table for 2 imo, obviously is up to customer anyway. Everything was good anyway and the place is spotless.

Sorry but no longer value for money portion sizes are a complete joke chef must be on commission for cutting back on delivery meals, 62 chips cold on delivery for £4.50 and a family pasta tray that wouldn’t have fed 2 kids let alone 3 adults, sadly you’ve had your last order from myself either a management or chefs are playing a game, looks like a calorie control game that will loose you more customers unless someone pays attention to what’s leaving the kitchen

It was a home delivery, burger very well done , ordered cheese burger, no cheese included, lasagna small, more watery sauce than pasta, a bit disappointing

The new decor and transformation of the bar area into the churro section really brightens up the inside and makes it feel more spacious. Food and service great as always. Waiting staff we very friendly and attentive even though they were kept busy with the number of tables. The soft play area is a bonus for parents with younger kids. If you're an older family or without kids maybe ask to be seated slightly away from there.

Early evening and the restaurant was quite busy with young families. The entrance level has the toilets and bar and the dining area is on a level 4 steps up. They have a ramp to allow wheelchair access to the dining area but not many staff are allowed to use the ramp so it's not convenient foe wheelchair user responding to a call of nature. The staff are friendly and helpful. The food was OK, I had the Calzone DiMaggio and I thought it needed seasoning and had a lot of sweetcorn to fill it out. Range of draft beer is very poor.

Not enough vegan options on the menu - there was only one item marked vegan and none on the kids menu. It's not hard to have some vegan cheese on hand to veganise a pizza or some lentils for a vegan spagbol. We made a special request from our server to have a vegan pasta option for our wee boy. Food was well made but a little boring. Our son loved the soft play and the kids playground.

Tasted like a full bottle of salt had been dropped in the lasagne. Completely inedible and absolutely no contact from the restaurant when I flagged this via just eat. A complete waste of £20 and terrible customer service. Avoid at all costs.

Came to DiMaggios for an early dinner so half 4 and the place was very busy. That did not affect the service at all and food came quickly and was beautiful. The kids enjoyed coming and going from the inside and outside play area allowing us adults to have a nice chat. It was my daughters birthday and the staff kindly brought her dessert out on a plate with happy birthday wrote in chocolate and also singing happy birthday, it was very much appreciated.

I cannot give this place enough stars. We attended tonight as part of a large party. Our son was recently diagnosed as having an anaphylaxis to eggs and I was so nervous about going in an environment with so much risk. Every single member of staff we came onto contact with was so switched on. They were calm, collected and confident and that left me feeling so relieved. We didn't have any exposure and honestly I could cry with relief. We are so thankful. And the food was delicious!!

If you have kids you HAVE to come here. Lovely family restaurant with soft play and an outdoor play park to entertain little ones. The food was unreal, staff couldn’t be any more helpful, really accommodating to an allergy and even blended a portion of bolognese for my 10 month old to eat! Can’t wait to come back. Fantastic service.

Just been given a good makeover, and it looks well worth the money they have spent, much more lighting, better seating and a fantastic churros bar...its a Great place to eat when you have active kids, indoor and outdoor play area, staff good with kids and value for money.

Visited the resturaunt last night 06/07/2024, 1st Class service from the staff and speedy service from the order being taken to the food arriving, Our only complaint and I know the place might not be able to do anything,but something needs to be done about the kids being allowed to run wild about the resturaunt, One of them is going to end up being hurt or scalded by the hot food thats being carried about..

Food was great. Service was good. Only issue was with an order of churros that seemingly went to the wrong table, but annoying everyone couldn't eat together. The kids loved the indoor soft play and outdoor play area.

Had a great visit with a friend. Excellent service, great food, good atmosphere. We hadn't been since renovations which are great and contribute to the feel and atmosphere.

Great family outing, kids love it! The new renovation is very nice, and highly recommend the pizza and macaroni. One of my favourite family outings, kids love the play place and the bit outside.

Not been here for years. Decided to give it a try since it’s been refurbished recently. Nice decor and the place was busy for a Sunday. The waiting staff were all pleasant and the food arrived in good time. We were all happy with our food. Good quality and decent value for money. Only complaint was the 8% service charge that is added to the bill. I appreciate it is noted on the menu, however don’t agree with the restaurant deciding how much tip you should leave. It’s embarrassing for customers having to ask for it to be removed so they can decide on their own tip amount. Please reconsider this DiMaggios.

New decor is beautiful, meals where very filling and tasty

This is reviewing a take away 2 weeks ago, although we have had many take away meals and eaten in, this is the worst meal we have had. 1 chicken Chicago, 2 pizzas which were ok, cheese burger was missing the salad and did not taste the best. Ordered the 20 wings as a shared starter and asked for bbq sauce but they tasted more like sweet and sour and could not finish them as they were horrible. At £70 for 5 meals which we all struggled to finish I feel a bit ripped off to say the least.

Wouldn’t recommend eating here if you’ve a dairy allergy. Almost every menu item contains it and when we visited the kitchen said they were unable to prepare any pasta dish without the use of butter. Also for children with dairy allergies the only option available from the children’s menu is chicken goujons. Will not be visiting again.

Gone to DiMaggios (East Kilbride) many times over the years and always enjoyed the experience. 1st time back since refurb and it looks bright and family welcoming. Staff were friendly however not very attentive. Food arrived in good time considering how busy it was for Father's Day. Kids enjoyed their pizza pasta and garlic bread with just the right portion size. Wife enjoyed her pasta portion size and taste. The only disappointment of the night was my own meal. Ordered my usual full rack of BBQ ribs and it tasted as good as ever however recieved barely a half rack portion (5 rib bones). When asked if it was indeed meant to be a full rack I was answered yes. To be fair we had money removed from the bill (gratuity charge + 10%) however still a disappointing experience.

Ordered at 18:25 said it would be 20minutes. Got to the pick up point at 18:35. Said it was ready on the app at 18:45, waited a further 25minutes and finally collected at 19:10. Sitting waiting for food to be made the chef was screaming at people in the kitchen aggressively. Not a nice experience. No real apology from the counter staff or update as we were sat waiting. Wasn’t even as if the place was busy then it could be justified. Disappointed with Di Maggios & expected better. Food was ok.

I was surprised if I’m honest as I’ve felt DiMaggios has kind of been hit or miss over the years but we came for lunch on a Saturday afternoon and it was mobbed, didn’t think we’d get a table but they fitted us in somehow and then wasn’t really expecting much but the service was excellent and the food was unbelievably tasty! I can honestly say the diavola pizza was the best tasting pizza I’ve had for years and that’s coming from someone who has ate pizzas all over Europe, so I’d definitely recommend.

Absolutely fantastic place for a family meal. The kids absolutely love the soft play. It was buzzing when we were there, very very busy which instantly makes you think this will affect the service. However the service was fantastic. Such a great team, so efficient, attentive and on top of everything. They didn’t keep us waiting for anything. Always making sure we were ok and if we asked for something it was immediately brought to us. Not easy to find service like this. Such friendly staff who clearly want to be there and genuinely care about giving an excellent experience. Very impressed. Food always delicious and always piping hot.

Mediocre food, expensive for what it is but the worst thing was the constantly being referred to as guys! I was there with my daughter, it was so irritating! I know it might be the training but honestly so annoying! How about just saying is your food ok, can I get you anything else? Drop the ‘guys’

Food was nice . Atmosphere noisy with kids but lovely too considering how much fun they including ours were having. Star of the show were the young staff. Fabulous. They allowed my husband and I to share which was perfect and our vegi pasta was lovely. Nothing was a bother including presenting my birthday cake. Lovely wee night was had by all. Really looking nice since renovation

Do not use this restaurant if you're in any way hungry or heading out as you'll wait over an hour and a half for 2 pizzas by which time your guests have since left. Seems they only bother with their own sit-in customers and just eat take a backseat getting us to do all the running calling the restaurant for updates or money off! No apologies, no nothing. Never again.

After a recent refurb supposedly costing several million, Anyhow I didn't see what they spent the money on lick of paint job , the place seemed brighter, Staff and food same as usual

I strongly suggest that allergen training to delivered to ALL of your staff. I called twice and was advised your pizzas did not contain egg and milk. I placed a full order and when I turned up, I was advised that that pizza base does in fact contain egg. Two staff members not knowing allergens is something that you should be taking very serious!

Great service and lovely food loved my pepperoni pizza & my churros for pudding with the kinder dip was amazing also tried a milkshake which was really nice was nice and we were quickly served

Really enjoyed my first experience here. Ideal with 3 kids with us having both the inside and outside play areas. Food was great too enjoyed by everyone. Will definitely return.

A bit disappointed. Nachos to start, but barely one spoonful of chilli mince, and very little cream sauce. The Cajun chicken pizza was nice, but again there was some serious skimping with the topping - the sauce base, cheese, and the chicken. The strawberry sundae on the other hand was excellent. Nice atmosphere and friendly service, but I won’t rush back.
