What a great find. I bought an Itison voucher for this restaurant, never having been here before. The staff were very friendly and helpful. A great choice of mains & starters. The food was delicious & piping hot. There is a lovely lunch menu & a Sunday lunch menu too. Highly recommend. We will be back!

This is my family’s favourite restaurant. We travel to Italy on holiday often and this restaurant represents the very best of Italy with a wee Scottish twist. In Italy family is everything and children are super important. Restaurants to Italians are an extension of the family and Twenty one epitomises this- our kids are treated as VIPs but it’s still a great place to come as a couple as we occasionally do. The layout lends itself to big parties as well as some places for more intimate meals. Ask for the carbonara “Roman style” (without cream) and you will feel like you are in Italy!

For a few years ‘21 Restaurant’ has been our restaurant of choice in Hamilton. Tonight we were so, so disappointed in our meal and service, especially as thus was our first night out after my wife’s prolonged five months in hospital and all that she’s been through and also the first chance we’ve had to celebrate our Ruby Wedding Anniversary. First up - couldn’t do a Bloody Mary cocktail because “It’s not on our menu list and we don’t have any tomato juice” - our mistake, we should have read their list, so we chose two selections from their cocktail menu. Starters: I had the Scallops starters - they were delicious; my wife had the Calamari, some of which were rubbery 👎🏻 Mains: my Veal Saltimbocca and accompaniments was great; my wife’s Sea bass was good but her veg was tepid/cold👎🏻 Desserts: the Tiramisu I had was OK but the hazelnut ice cream had a burnt aftertaste. My wife’s ‘Coppa Amereno’ was not what we were expecting. Cold Cherries straight from a jar spooned onto a scoop of ice cream in a glass. Again, our mistake, we had expected the cherries to at least have been warmed through. At this point the owner came across and asked if we had a problem with the dessert and we were given a short lecture on how his cherries were always the same, marinaded in a jar… Coffee: We ordered two double expressos. When they arrived I had to look deep into the cup to see them! I called the owner over and asked if they were, in fact, doubles - only to be told that “I press the button on the machine 1 for a single and 2 for a double - if you want more you should order a Lungo!” He went on “You’re only saying this because you were unhappy with the cherries!” We got the bill and left. Disappointing to say the least, particularly since my wife and her sister and aunt had a terrific lunch there on Wednesday. Don’t think we’ll be back anytime soon, sadly.

I stay away with work and when I’m Hamilton I always eat here twice in the week. I have got to know everyone and they treat me like a family friend and make me feel so welcome, which is lovely for me as it can be very lonely staying away. The food is always sublime and I mix between the menu and specials. The fact that you will get AUTHENTIC Italian food is what makes this place amazing. I have even been given recipes, cooking and ingredient tips for cooking at home. I can’t fault this place and urge you all to visit.

Easily the best Italian meal topped off with the very best tiramisu you'll ever have. This is what every restaurant should aspire to be. An absolute gem of a place. This is a must for anyone who enjoys good food, good wine and great company.

The food was absolutely delicious - everything tasted fresh and perfectly cooked. The staff were also a highlight - very friendly and attentive, always happy to help with anything we needed. Jennifer in particular was fantastic! The prices were very reasonable for the quality of food and service, and the atmosphere was lovely - relaxed but with a nice touch of elegance. Would definitely recommend Twenty One to anyone looking for a great meal in Hamilton!

We had a lovely meal tonight for our 25th Wedding Anniversary 22/6/24 we were made so welcome by Jennifer and family took time out to speak to us it was great to be back after all this time .Thanks for a great night and plenty of memories put the photos on my Facebook page hopefully see you sooner than later xxx

We did the £22.50 early evening menu, great choice of quality food and service.

Went back for lunch on Sat, had a prawn salad and brushetta, followed by veal Milanese and peppercorn chicken. My wife also had the pavlova. All food amazing, staff are so pleasant and friendly. Would highly recommend this restaurant and we will obviously be back. The quality of food and prices are unbelievable.

As always food is amazing and amazing service as usual always a returning customer as I’m treated with such respect and kindness will never stop coming here .

On a visit back to Hamilton visiting family, we had dined here a few years ago on a previous visit and had a great meal and evening. Great to see that the owners and staff fantastic service hadn’t changed. We had a superb meal, great atmosphere and service is the best of any restaurant we have been in! We Shall Return!! Plus has been a family favorite for all different get together's ... the Italian Carbonara is amazing 🥰😍😇 Jennifer is doing an excellent job in taking the family business over an making sure Our Family Favorite is Still going to be a Fantastic Family run restaurant for years to come 😀

What a delight to eat at this beautiful restaurant. My husband and I turned up without reservations today after a tough morning following a bereavement to try and take our minds off our sadness. The restaurant owner pulled out all the stops to find us a table, and his kind and friendly manner instantly lifted our spirits. The food was the best we have ever eaten, the staff were so attentive and clearly very happy in their work, and the other customers were obviously in their happy places too. Incredible dining experience in a truly welcoming place full of joy, and heart, and hope. Thank you so much x

I was here as part of a large family group of 20 to celebrate my brother-in-law's birthday. I had never been before, but will definitely be back. The Italian restaurant is a small family run business. They were so welcoming, friendly and helpful. It was pleasantly warm - I cannot bear to eat beside extractor fans blowing cold air at me - and so comfortable. We had a lunchtime menu, so I cannot comment on the full availability, however, our choice was very good. There were two vegetarians in the group, and there were at least two mains options for them. In fact, I chose the mushroom risotto, and it was lovely. The food was delicious, there were no complaints at all. After the obligatory birthday song, the cake was cut up and served happily. Altogether, I would thoroughly recommend Twenty One for a quiet meal, or a larger celebration. There is a public car park just beside it, so handy.

Three of us dined in this restaurant the other day.Excellent service and food was brilliant, next time I'm in Hamilton I would definitely go and have lunch there and recommend it to others.

Fabulous restaurant. My 4th time visiting. Owners are the most lovely and warm italian family who make time to talk to every person dining with them. The food is delicious and value for money is outstanding! My friend and i chose from the extensive set menu, a starter and main each with a complimentary bottle of wine, and we both had dessert. Our bill was less than £50! Three courses each and a bottle of wine for £50... whats not to love? We have already planned our next visit for a post christmas catch up in january. Honestly cant recommend highly enough.

First time here, it was really nice. The chicken liver parfait is the smoothest and best I've probably had. My husband loved his Penne Salsiccia, we had 2 courses each and a bottle of wine and it was under £70 so fairly priced too. The waiters are very attentive and friendly and I really like that in a restaurant, the owners are present and are sure to say hello to everyone, you can just tell they love what they do and that's how good restauranteurs should be. The restaurant itself is spotless, The toilets were clean and smelled nice, I'm mentioning it because I think it's also a sign of a well kept establishment. Sadly didn't have space for a dessert but I'm sure we will be back.

The most amazing dinner I’ve ever had!!!! Friendly staff and great environment. The owner took the time to come and speak with us, share stories and laugh. Great food and great company. Doesn’t get much better than that! We booked another dinner for the following evening on the spot. YOU MUST COME HERE!!!!!

I seldom find a restaurant that I would be happy to return the next day for another meal but seems I have now. From the informal and hospitable hosts (owners) to the pleasant surroundings, friendly service and fantastic food, this is a true gem of a place. We ate from the fixed Xmas menu which was still available and very reasonably priced and also had option of additional dishes of the day included. All dishes were fantastic and not one complaint or disapproving comment from any of my family. Good wines were recommended and chatted about with the owner. Desserts were also very good. Can’t recommend this place enough and can’t wait to visit again soon. Try it, Italian-Scottish contemporary food at its very best.

What a lovely little place this is. We went for dinner on a Wednesday evening. The staff were great, really friendly and helpful and the place was spotless. The food was amazing! The lasagne was like magic in my mouth! Like no lasagne I've ever tasted before, I don't know what the secret ingredient is! The calamari starter was delicious too, as was the prawn bruschetta. The set menu was excellent value for money with a bottle of house wine included per couple. Unfortunately we didn't get our wine as I was driving and my husband is unable to drink just now. Its a shame we couldn't take it home to enjoy as they don't have an off license. That won't stop me giving 5 stars though for a beautiful meal and great service! They also offer a-la-carte and children's menus.

Visited for the first time this evening. Staff were amazing and the food was first class. The children's menu was fantastic, our 2 year old loved it. My wife and I will definitely be back. The staff were right about the Tiramisu being the best around 👍

Takeaway with a difference 5 star food piping hot delicious. We were staying at the caravan club site for one night and found this restaurant offering a great takeaway deal £30 for 2 starters 2 mains and a bottle of house wine. We called to book it a lovely lady took our order snd we agreed a collection time, not really knowing where it was we were slightly early and she was very apologetic that as it was cooked to order it would not be ready until that time . It was worth the wait, all home made we had prawn cocktail, their famous haggis pakoras fish snd chips snd homemade steak pie. All fabulous tasty good sized portions we will trinitrotoluene here back on our next stop over and will recommend to everyone at the caravan siteThanks for a great meal

My wife and I visited No 21 for the first time yesterday 13/6/21. I have heard great reviews from other local people and decided to book for our afternoon lunch.I do have Italians in my family and have spent sometime living in Italy.The restaurant is very clean & tidy and very well presented, all staff are very welcoming and very well mannered. The food and drinks are first class, we are so pleased to have found a truly authentic Italian Restaurant on our doorstep.We really enjoyed our lunch and will become regular visitors.
