Zucca Bistro in South Lanarkshire

The bistro is in the shopping center on the first floor. Were here for breakfast. Condition totally friendly. The food came super quickly. We really enjoyed it. Prices rather cheap. Clear recommendation.

First visit for a number of years. Service was first class by a very friendly, helpful young man named Aaron. He was so polite and welcoming. The food was lovely and plentiful. Will definitely go back for another visit.

Looking for somewhere to relax and eat out. Great food and reasonably priced. Service was good and fast. Food arrived quickly and tasted nice. The 1/2 & 1/2 deal is worth it and a good selection to choose from. 👍

Visited bistro at ek Town centre on Saturday 13th January,,very disappointed,paid £12 for chicken pasta,,not cheap for a town centre cafe,& got a tiny portion which for the money was bad,&was tasteless,,will never be back &compared to my regular Italian lavita in the East end of Glasgow zucca was just rubbish ,

It doesn’t matter if the food is good or how polite the waitress staff are if all you hear is constant foul language from the kitchen, the constant use of the “f#ck” word and others is not acceptable at any time. If the management doesn’t address this issue especially when young families are having breakfast shows a total lack of professionalism and customer service. This has now happened on our 3 last visits and our last.

Granddaughter and her boyfriend were in today Monday at 1pm ish pasta dish was over salted and the pizza meat on top did not taste nice been using this restaurant for years and is alway our go to favourite place so sad to here this was not a pleasant experience for them

First time eating that this restaurant the food is good and all the staff were pleasant

Always a lovely place to go for a quick lunch. Prices are reasonable. I recommend the Cheesy Garlic Bread and Haggis Bon Bons for starters and the Chicken Milanese and Cajun Chicken Pasta for mains.

The staff was very nice but very busy. The food was cold by the time it got to us and was just sitting there on the counter for ages. I would not go there again.

Was in on Saturday 28th October the place was a joke waiting an hour and 10 mins for our food shouted the waiter over and she said it would b out in 5 mins 15 mins passed and still no food won't be back they had the cheek 2 charge for our soft drinks

Poor food. Expensive price. £13 bowl of Pasta was full of spice Couldnt eat it. Pizzas were average. Tap water & barely a squirt of blackcurrant £2. Awful. Never again.

Overrated. My pasta arrived in a puddle of sauce, which any Italian will tell you is a huge fail. If your sauce doesn't stick to the pasta you're doing something wrong. There was no atmosphere at all and the staff were lovely but absolutely run off their feet. I'll not be back.

The wait to get in is terrible. But the waiting on waiter is worse. Over an hour. The food has changed in taste also. If it wasn't for nowhere else to eat in the centre. They wouldn't have customers.

Not as good as it used to be. Feels a bit sixes and sevens.

Service was very good with a decent menu. Table a bit wobbly, mentioned this to staff they got a wedge placed in under the fault table leg and problem fixed. We will be back.

Used to love this place, not been in while. The prices are ridiculously expensive! Had lunch with family we opted for the pizza pasta combo at £13.50 each. However later I realised if you opt for the margarita pizza with napolina pasta it's £18 for both not £27 if you decide to share!! Also £2.75 for a small glass's of Fanta (not a can!!) Is a bit of a rip off! Service was very poor, asked for a glass of water off 3 different wait staff and never got it! Was also charged for extra drinks we never had!! Won't return

Great food with great company thoroughly enjoyed my visit.

Food and service were brilliant...however it was the quietest I've seen the place so may not always be the case but the staff that attended me and my friend were exceptional and now want to return...no atmosphere tho cos its in the centre!ffs lol 😆

Always enjoyed Zucca but not been fior a few months . Tny portions on lunch menu. Dissapointed, not good value.

Brilliant had Cajun chicken pasta, big plate chips, chicken-ham pizza, tea and coffee everything was excellent. £27 bargain, and staff were amazing 👍👍👍👍

Food was amazing, as a first timer in any new place I’m always wary about trying new food but this was amazing. Portions were huge. I was stuffed I couldn’t finish it all. Service with a smile and friendly banter too boot. Defo will be back again very soon.

Me and my partner went to the bistro in East Kilbride shopping centre. It’s the first I’ve been in about 15 years. It’s still the same as I remember. Lovely food and lovely service from staff despite them being extremely busy. We would like to pass on how lovely and helpful Donna was. Thank you very much for making an already good day a great day

Only downside was £3 for a plastic bottle of sparkling water, could do with new glasses as all marked. Food wasn’t bad

Usually go to zucca's in the village but decided to try the one in the town centre as the branch in the village is closed on a Tuesday.. It was simply excellent. Food great. Wraps are just amazing. The staff are first class. Very friendly, helpful & very efficient. Will definitely return & recommend.

Zuccas is absolutely fantastic. My son and I visit there regularly and the staff are great so helpful,and the food is awesome. If I ask my son if he would like to go out for a meal he ALWAYS says ZUCCAS PLEASE? I usually get the pesto,which is great but appears to be missing pine nuts which is a vital ingredient of pesto,and the pizza never comes sliced,which I don't get but overall this place is the best place in EK centre to eat.....BY FAR

I really like the food here as a rule, it's always fresh and delicious but sadly the loaded chilli chips were drenched in oil today and that rather spoiled the meal for me. I shall be going back though because its the only meal I've ever had a complaint about. The staff are friendly and helpful.

Fantastic food and attentive staff

Went in and ordered the cajun chicken and my god, I wanted to find the chef and thank them myself, they truly perfected one of my favourite dishes. The whole menu sounded great we were spoiled for choice. Server was very polite and attentive despite being quite busy. Great place!

Not food related because usually really enjoy it here, but came in today for something to eat with my daughter who has just had an operation so has a cast on her leg asked for the couch seated area outside so she could sit up with the depth of the couch as a normal seat wouldn’t have been as comfortable! & was told it was for staff only! Even thou I’ve sat there on 2 separate occasions! What’s that all about!!??

Great food , but when the pasta dish says chilli on the ingredients i wasn't really expecting to have a meal I could eat a part of (amatricana) I think, its far too spicy and I like food with a spice

Service and food absolutely amazing

I sat in for the breakfast menu with my wee one and the server wasn’t really bothered. She gave my 3 year old a child’s fork and an adult knife which I found a bit daft. The adult breakfast was far too big for the plate it came in and there was enough oil left on the plate to do another fry up. The child’s pancakes came in a small plate as well. The breakfast choice for the kids is bare minimum at best with little choice. The food was good but other than that, it was a poor visit.

They definitely need to improve the service as I asked for poached eggs and toast, only to get scrambled egg and toast that was like a brick. The bread they used is defo not for toasting. Defo won’t be back

Had a cheese and bacon burger and i have to say, its in my top 5 burgers of all time, 33 years on the planet and i will definitely make a point of returning for another. Thanks, would recommend!!! 5*

Lunch with a friend .I had caesar salad which was beautiful full of chicken and bacon delicious dressing. My friend had pizza pasta which was also really nice. Nice coffee and lovely friendly service. It was really busy but the staff were very attentive and efficient. Would highly recommend.

Too expensive now,over £30 for 2 adults and a child for breakfast.

Scottish breakfast was great. I just managed to eat it all, and coffee was really nice. Excellent price for our breakfast and drinks (coffee and juices). Well worth the visit.

We visited today, 15/02. We are long standing customers, and have loved to enjoy the delicious food, since the first days of the Bistro. Today was no exception as the food was everything we expected and hoped for, however, the general presentation of the restaurant, staff and toilets falls way below what I think is acceptable for an eating establishment. The floor throughout the restaurant is littered with used/unused napkins, scraps of food and chips, which is never tidied up during service. The single toilet on the ground floor which is the only one currently in use, appears not to be regularly checked and cleaned. Wet, used and unused paper towels are littered over the floor and wash hand basin, and the sanitary ware looks like it has not been properly cleaned in some time. The waiting staff wearing masks are not covering both nose and mouth, and I did not see the staff sanitise their hands once during our time in the restaurant whilst handling dirty used plates and cutlery, and fresh food. Whilst the food was delicious and the service good, the whole presentation of the restaurant and staff is grubby, together with the lack of a uniform and neat tidy presentation of the staff, seems to add to the overall unappealing appearance.

Never had a bad experience here! The food is consistently delicious and great value for money (specifically the half pizza/pasta). One of our favourites and we go out of our way to travel here! Defo would recommend to anyone!!

Popped in for quick midweek lunch and turned into a bit of a marathon. Took 50 minutes to receive food and by which time drink was finished and not offered or asked if I would like another. I asked for another drink and by the time it got to me I had almost finished my food. No apology or acknowledgement of delays. The food tasted nice though which made the experience better.

Busy place but food and service were both great. Queuing at lunchtime to get in but worth the wait.

Ate here for the first time today since moving from England. Really good service. The food was of good quality and the portions were large. Will definitely be returning. Two for lunch with drinks and starters £40.00. Excellent value I feel.

Lovely meal spoiled By a rude person at the tillpoint who we found out later to be the manager Mary Ann grainger were regular patrons at this establishment till that day won't be back.

Helpful staff, kid friendly and reasonably fast service. We didn't eat but our friends and kids did. 8 people for drinks,.one on beer. 4 o ds meals and 2 adult meals and sides for £65. Seemed pretty reasonable to me and the food was good.

Great food, initially customer service was poor but the young lad that served us was very helpful, management not accommodating at all, 5 mind early for breakfast and she said breakfast was finished and to come back in 30 minutes for lunch as she had called it!!

Great Italian, prices are reasonable and food has always been delicious. Been coming here for about 7 years now. I like that they do half pasta, half pizza even if just 1 person at the table orders that. Portion sizes are always generous. Recommend to anyone who likes tasty, authentic italian food. One of my favorites and absolutely worth a visit when you're in the mall.

Food was good the service however was slow to get extra drinks then even 5 mins we where approached after our meal if we wanted anything else felt like they where trying to get us out although they weren't busy so that's not any excuse.

Would have been 5 stars if the stornoway stack was on and coffee cups that actually held heat

The straws are such good quality. I'm not being sarcastic but they aren't flimsy and actually last the full drink. Better than any other paper straws I've had. Would recommend.<3

I visited today for breakfast with my daughter who has additional support needs and the staff were very accommodating to our needs. The girl that welcomed us, Clare, was very friendly and kindly allowed us to sit in a section of the restaurant that was closed. This allowed us to eat without disturbing other customers. My daughter can be quite loud and, as much as most people understand, it can cause some disapproving looks when people are trying to enjoy a meal. The food was excellent, I had the full Scottish breakfast and my daughter had the American breakfast, both were very tasty and plentiful. At 2 for £12 it was an absolute bargain and a very enjoyable morning.

Have been a regular and this was always the go to place sadly this visit lacked the atmosphere and classy edge of norm. Covid aside I felt service was poor and food lacked its usual refinement, sorry to say

Ordered ham and tomato sandwich with wholegrain mustard. Got sandwich with above plus mayonnaise. I don't like mayonnaise but luckily I don't have an egg allergy or above restaurant could have had a death on their hands. I politely complained pointing out the mayonnaise issue, which didn't appear to worry the staff, and received replacement " sandwich" which had no mustard or even butter/spread, so basically dry bread with a bit of ham and tomato. First and last visit to this place. At least they had the decency not to charge for my " sandwich", but under the circumstances I don't think I should have been charged for anything. So anyone with an allergy please be extremely careful if eating in this place.

Nice inside and really nice waiting staff. The food was a let down however. We got a mixture of starters and the half and half deal but my pizza was soggy and carbonara extremely dry. And neither me nor my partner enjoyed the starters or sides. Wouldn’t rush back but can’t fault the service

We come here every 2nd Sunday for lunch with two of our grand children. Nice staff nice food nice atmosphere.

used to come with friends years ago and have recently come back. Have now been in a few times and meals have been delicious- staff team are very good and up for some banter.
