Zucca in South Lanarkshire

We visited here as a party of six for dinner, none of us could fault any part of all three courses. A permanent addition to what will be one of our favourite restaurants. Great job.

Went to catch up with family. Sat down at our table at 1pm and did not get our food until 1:45pm. 4 main meals, 2 out of 4 meals look warm, plates roasting but food not. Sent 1 of the meals back (pizza /pasta) and was asked if we wanted a fresh one or just heated up!!!!!. By the time it was remade the rat of the party had finished eating. No offer of money or anything in the way of an apology. Very disappointing, won't be back to the centre Zucca again.

We were seated promptly, staff were very friendly and polite. Food was exceptional. And then the service stopped so that the staff could crowd outside of the restaurant to chat and play fight with one another. Had paid for a 2 course meal and did not have the patience left to even ask for my second course by the time I was attended to. Great food, clean place, pish poor attentiveness from staff.

I asked about a gluten free menu before I went in and was assured before we sat down. The young girl who served us also knew about cross contamination and explained they have a separate fryer/prep area. I ordered GF penne with Arrabiata sauce... amazing, tasted so fresh and amazing. Our waitress was lovely and chatty, happy to help and the food was awesome I will be back for sure

We ate here as part of a large group of 20 or so. The staff were very efficient and while this is not a fine dining experience the food was very good. Car parking on both sides of the restaurant. If you are hungry and in East Kilbride it is worth going to the village to eat at Zucca.

Went for lunch today and got seated quickly. Very lucky as usually queuing for seats. Food as always was lovely. Past/pizza for the 3 of us with garlic bread and chips between us. We didn’t need the sides, very filling. Reasonably priced although disappointed I got charged for tap water. My partner didn’t say until we left , otherwise I would have questioned it.

Both had the half pasta half pizza combo. Was delicious. Plenty of good quality toppings on the pizza although the base was could was undercooked and soft. Pasta was delicious. Lovely friendly and attentive staff

Being our local Italian restaurant, when pizza or pasta are desired this is where we go. Without fail we are always welcomed warmly and by a smiling face. Its homely but with an edge. It's fancy but at a great price. The food is of high standards and extremely delicious. The service is first class. The menu caters for tiny people and the elders of the family, making sure everyone is happy. There are many different selections to choose from in all areas of the menu.

Popped in to have breakfast ahead of Xmas shopping and we could not have been happier. The full breakfast was absolutely great and just what we needed, the service was fantastic a big thanks to everyone.

Went with a group of friends for a Saturday afternoon lunch/catch-up. Had a really positive experience. Service was friendly and efficient and we weren't rushed in any way. We ate from the fixed price menu on which there was lots of choice with options to suit all 6 of us. The food was nicely presented and very tasty.

This restaurant is always busy. That's because the quality of the food is excellent. For a snack, lunch or dinner the prices are great. Staff are really friendly, efficient and attentive. Any of the pasta dishes are great on their own or split it up with a half and half pizza and pasta. A fantastic food experience.

I had nice starter however, I ordered pasta for main, but the spice was too much salty that I didn’t enjoy it!

I attended this restaurant when I was ill, but none the less ate a fair amount. I found the food good, and the staff nice and helpful. I was also a fan of the interior of the restaurant. The seating was nice and I really enjoyed the booths.

Went for lunch. The service has went down hill waited to be seated nwasnt even ask if we had been seen too and then lunch was a disappointment not the same as it used to be

Always busy no matter what time of day you visit. Fab atmosphere. Excellent food. I had my usual half pasta pizza combination as did my daughter. Well presented and tasty. Unfortunately there was no fish for my dad so he had the ministrone soup and a chargrilled chicken club sandwhich. He enjoyed the soup but wasted the club sandwich and most of his chips. We visited in January and there was also no fish which is why my dad goes there for the fish tea so disappointing for him on both ocassions.

Had a lovely lunch with my daughter. The chicken salad was fresh and very tasty my daughter had a burger and really enjoyed it. The service was excellent the girl was attentive and chatty. Cost £20 and will most definitely be back.

Called into Zucca today had our usual combo of pizza and pasta,as always excellent service ,excellent food ,very reasonable price .

Located in the food court in Centre West. Have always thought that it's quite good value for money. Usually eat lunch when there however opted for a late breakfast on last visit. Pancakes with bacon, stornoway black pudding and maple syrup. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

Went for lunch as a wee treat with my daughter was very busy but got a seat pretty fast nice clean good service seating can be a bit tight

Been here a few times always order the carbonara staff are helpful and friendly and always a pleasure to visit here

Great food. Great staff and atmosphere but went with a friend back in April and we had a meal and a two beers each but the waitress spilt a whole pint over the table and my friend accidentally and all she said was she wouldn't charge for that one and that is all she didn't charge for. It spoilt his evening and understand it was an accident but think she could have the very least offered to pay his dry cleaning or not charged for the drinks. Not been back since.

Went here for lunch last year 2015, we were looking at menu at the entrance when a which looked like a manager appeared and said come in so we went in, he sat us down at a table at the balcony , he came over with the menu and he said what was the treat of the day, so we went for the Lasagne when it came it piping hot and we were told to watch the plate if we handled it. the guy came over with Parmesan Cheese , we can honestly say it was delish, nice place for a lunch have been back on many occasions but don't go into the other part of Zucca as it looks dark , the place of Zucca we were in a brighter.

El personal era muy servicial y educado, y bueno, las opciones de menú a un precio razonable para un bocado rápido para comer. No esperar mucho tiempo para la comida, que era perfecto. El personal conocía a su menú de postres y sugerencias ofrecidas fabuloso. Elegimos el merengue con crema y fresas. ¡Delicioso!

Llegamos sobre las 4 domingo de Pascua, que no debería haber molestado,. Dijo el Sr. ningún contacto visual del centro comercial cerrado a las 5 ... no ... muchos cafés estaban abiertos hasta seis personas. Debería haber dijo "no te apetece hacer las comidas en este momento. No lo hizo. Lo que hizo fue que pudimos hacer sándwiches y sopa, que pedimos. La orden estaba equivocado cuando llegó., ahora no podría ser molestado. Fue increíble que hizo todo esto sin tener que buscar en nosotros. Te puedes imaginar que no dejar una propina. No volveré y me dijeron unos amigos que estaban planeando ir a ir a Pizza Hut en vez, ...

Han venido a visitar este lugar sobre una base semanal, buena comida, y un personal amable. Recomendaría los piadas, hay un 'construir su propia opción al incluir a todos sus favoritos. También el empalagoso brownie suave es para morirse, y todo a un buen precio. Para mí, la única pega es que los baños públicos son un poco demasiado lejos.

If you have ever thought of treating yourself to Saturday or Sunday breakfast then this is the place. The staff are friendly; time from ordering to food on the table is quick and the food is very good.

I visit zucca either with a friend or spouse most weeks for lunch. Staff are great and very attentive and friendly. They have the little extra touches when they know what my little personal likes and dislikes are. Always greeted on arrival and departure. Queues form some days at busy times but it is worth waiting as a table usually becomes available very quickly/. food is good and prices are reasonable. well worth a visit iof shopping in EK

We were seated, and it was a little busy around 1.30/2pm, however another couple were seated next to us, 2 mins after we were, ordered to be fair at the same time, and to make it brief they had received, eaten and paid for and left, (similar order and not quick eaters) before we even got to smell ours, really poor service on this occasion, food was good, but worth the wait???? Not this time I'm afraid.

Called in for a few rolls and sausage and what I got was two banquettes with disgusting sausages that seemed to be cooked in a microwave but when I complained I was told they were from a new supplier, yeah rightThese were cheap and nasty sausages which I did not eat and I refused to pay forSo no more rolls and sausage from this place

Stopped into their "deli" section in the plaza for lunch today with my daughter, an Italian man, whom I assume is the owner, showed us to our table and took our order, he explained the menu thoroughly and gave his recommendations, I got soup and triple deck sandwich and my daughter got soup and chicken pesto wrap, we waited no time for it to come by a lovely young guy who was very pleasant, the lunch was delish and reasonably priced and it was nice to see the rapport between the owner and young fella serving, they were funny and made a great team will deffo be back

Ate at Zucca in the Plaza yesterday. Pasta not the best and lasagne overly salty. When we paid at the counter after waiting to be acknowledged by 2 members of staff (there was 1 on either side of the counter) the female behind the bar sighed and said do you need change to which I replied no as it was the exact amount and I left. It was the exact amount as there was no tip. Top tip, teach your staff at the bar some manners.

Had my weekly visit to restaurant with my family. Food is always good and can never be faulted. The price good be better but sometimes it is better to pay the extra as you know the quality and service is good. Stornaway stack is a must if you do t want the usual full breakfast.

While staying in East Kilbride we read reviews & went for breakfast before our shopping trip, nice staff, nice service & tasty breakfast, pancake & bacon stack & American breakfast & it was nice, nice coffee too.

well as soon as I walked in I instantly recognised that we had made a good choice of place to eat! the smell of pizza was delightful! we sat down and surprisingly the prices were not as expensive as I thought it would be, especially with the deals on. the food well amazing and prepared quickly!

Floor was full of food , was seated at the kitchen witch was very loud and disturbing,chips were more like a potato in a bowl and was give a napkin for my meal or a offered another drink.!

Staff were very friendly and attentive, service was prompt and quality of food was excellent, I can highly recommend the Sea Bass, absolutely gorgeous, will definitely go back xxx

Definitely my favourite place to go for some decent Italian grub! The crema pasta is to die for! Sometimes service a bit slow as the staff are usually busy it's hard to get anyone's attention, waited 20 mins just to order food! But definitely worth the wait the food is always excellent! The girl at the door who seats people (Leanne I think) is definitely a credit to the restaurant she is always so friendly & helpful nothing is too much trouble! Although we usually queue at the weekends to be seated she always finds a table quickly! Definitely be back & would recommend

Well worth a visit to Zucca in the Village, but would definitely phone first to check availability as it gets really busy even on week nights.

Their staff are very friendly and attentive. The menu includes my favourite; Cajun Chicken with Fettuccine, also a great Carbonara with cheese sauce. They also have Peroni beer, what goes better with this type of food?

From start to finish our evening was excellent. Staff were really attentive and friendly.food was fantastic. Great atmosphere. We will definitely be back!

Have been popping into Zucca on and off now for a couple of years and never been let down .. Lovely friendly staff , great food with great service.... A must when shopping in East Kilbride ..........

Best staff, service and food in East Kilbride. Zucca know all about looking after the customer. Tip - if going for lunch get in early, it is ALWAYS busy.

First visit to this restaurant in the Village area of the town. Nice atmosphere inside, a reasonable menu especially looking at starters and mains. Good table service and meals were produced promptly, hot at table and well presented. All meals were really tasty and portions good. Prices were good value, including drinks.So, a good experience for us ( 3 in total ), and a satisfactory visit which will ensure we will be back!

Can't really say much as we walked out after sitting waiting just over 20minutes with out a member of staff taking a drinks order.Yes it was a busy Saturday afternoon but there seemed to be plenty of staff just walking up and down not making eye contact.Two of whom so us get up and walk out and said nothing.

No complaints from our table for 9 people. Waiting staff were helpful and friendly from start to finish. There is a good range on the menu from pasta and pizza through to some quality fish and meat dishes. I enjoyed the duck ravioli starter and some excellent monkfish wrapped in Parma ham. I was however a little envious of the veal cutlet ordered next to me! Very enjoyable evening for my daughter's birthday.

This is one of the best places to eat in East Kilbride with the friendliest staff and a great experience all round

My mother and I were visiting East Kilbride shopping centre last week and we decided to grab some breakfast before we hit the shops, we decided to try Zucca and we weren't disappointed. The breakfasts were huge and with a latte each the bill came to £10.00 which is brilliant value. The staff were friendly and helpful as well and I will definitely return the next time I'm over in East Kilbride.

Good food but they can be a bit 'haughty', giving the impression that they are doing you a favour by letting you have a table, even when the restaurant is half empty. The service can be either fantastic or slow, depending on who you get as your waiter/ress. The food is very good indeed though and the half pitza half pasta deal is very good.Quite expensive for some of the dishes so watch out. Drinks are dear too.

Went in for a quick lunch. Seated and served quickly by a very pleasant young man. Food was very good and the service with a bit of banter thrown in continued until we left, despite the place being very busy. Pleasant experience, would recommend.

Zucca's in the Plaza - not to be confused with the other East Kilbride Zucca restaurant is located on the top floor of the plaza shopping centre - along with some other dining out places. A good atmosphere and a wide ranging menu mean that this place is one of many similar average places to choose from.

nice atmosphere in this place and the food was brilliant, it was a very busy night and i waited quite a while on my meal but one word to the waiter and it was in front of me within 5 mins. looking at the place from outside you would think it was a tiny resturaunt but its not at all i had a steak and my daughter had a pasta dish they were both beautiful and cooked to perfection. its the first time i had been in here but my daughter has been a few times. if your looking for a nice wee italian in ek id defo give it a go

we decided to go to zucca in the village in east kilbride for lunch as we had been wanting to try this place for some time,BOY were we disappointed!!!!! on arrival we were met by waitress who all i can say was less than representable. her clothes had food stains on it and nails were covered in chipped nail polish which in the food business is unacceptable. I also noticed we were showen to table and were not asked if we wanted our jackets hung up but people who came in after us were,We waited for 20 minutes before a drinks order was taken and then a further 15 before food order was taken, not acceptable as people who had came in after us had there orders taken before us, Menu was of poor choice and food of a substandard quality, i would advise anyone who is thinking of going to this place to seriously rethink the only time waiting staff should any sign of professionalism or friendliness was when we requested the bill, TO LATE NO TIP WAS BEING LEFT.iF THE OWNER OF THIS RESTAURANT IS READING THIS SERIOUSLY HAVE A WORD WITH YOUR STAFF VERY POOR STANDARDS AND AS FAR AS I AM CONCERNED ALL CUSTOMERS SHOWED BE TREATED THE SAME NOT THE WAY YOUR RESTAURANT SEEMS TO MAKE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN PEOPLE
