A quiet Sunday morning breakfast for me was not quiet in this kitchen, as they only had one chef on, I was warned of the thirty minute wait before I sat down (without a wait). But I had nowhere to be, so it wasn’t an issue, and the staff were so good about it as well. The cappuccino was very tasty, but the apple juice I ordered alongside, I question whether it was watered down. I wouldn’t be surprised if it was in order to make the “Go Magnifico!” offer financially viable. In the end, I only waited about twenty minutes for my food, and it was alright. I’m pretty sure my Eggs Pancetta Benedict was served with bacon, not pancetta. The eggs were a little undercooked, but this is preferable to over-poached eggs, so it was fine. The Hollandaise sauce tasted “jar-y”, and indeed it’s spooned out of a bowl from under a heat lamp, so if you’re a Hollandaise snob, would not recommend. Overall, for £15, it’s a nice coffee and some alright grub. It didn’t break the bank, and it’s nice to have a server actually smile at you for once, unlike at other family friendly restaurant chains nowadays.

I went for a meal here and I am now 3 days in with a bout of terrible food poisoning since my visit. I had the pork ribs for starters and a lobster pasta dish for main. My friend ordered differently and hasn’t been affected. Overall the restaurant is lovely looking - we sat in the conservatory but it is very pretentious and we felt the waiters were overly attentive, several different waiters checking in with us too many times during the meal we could hardly start a conversation between us without being interrupted. Update: 17 days of illness and a course of antibiotics were needed. I have yet to get a response from the restaurant. I have filled in all the relevant info on the document they sent. Service isn’t acceptable. 31/10/24 as of today I have still had no response to my complaint of food poisoning. I have chased a response several times to keep being told the compliance manager will be in touch. It begs the question do they have a compliance manager! The aftercare has been shockingly bad with no comeback to my complaint. I was extremely ill after eating at this restaurant and had to take a considerable amount of time off work in which I’m self employed resulting in a huge financial loss. This has been relayed to the restaurant and there has been nothing but silence. 02/12 - still no response to my complaint. Service is terrible I ended up getting a response from San Carlo several months after my complaint - they said it was nothing to do with them - I didn’t expect anything else to be honest. Will never eat here again. The customer service has been just as bad a the food poisoning I had!

Visited for the first time last night as part of a small family meal. Staff very friendly, and a nice venue, although very noisy i think due to the high ceilings and open plan layout. The food was nice. Not amazing, but not bad. A little overpriced. Probably wouldn't go back sadly.
