Went early so was not busy. Pizza was amazing I swapped the onion for Blue Cheese on No7 on the menu. Sourdough pizzas are the best.

I went in with a few friends the other day and had an amazing time. The food is lovely and the sourdough pizzas are nice and filling. I would recommend the pizza number 7- a classic but always good. The team are very friendly and the service we received from Lina was great. She was very attentive and happy to help :)

Recently visited Franco manca in Guildford with my dad, and we had the absolute pleasure of being served by Lucy, a truly incredible member of staff who was kind and inviting to not just us, but every table she served. She was able to reccomend her personal favourites from the menu, and discuss what we may like to accompany our meal as well. Our pizza was incredible, and the specials are always a unique and tasty choice! We'll definitely be coming back to this incredible restaurant in the future, staff, atmosphere and food are all impeccable!

My go-to restaurant to get a bite to eat. The servers are so friendly and accommodating, especially Lucy, and the pizza is delicious. The service is fast too and lovely fresh ingredients. Can't recommend it enough!

Had a great experience at Franco Manca in Guildford the other evening. The pizza was full of flavour with that perfect mix of crisp and chew. You can really taste the quality of the ingredients. What really stood out though was the service – Lucy looked after us and was genuinely warm, friendly, and attentive without being overbearing. It made the whole experience feel relaxed and enjoyable. Definitely coming back!

I am writing to express my ongoing disappointment with the service at your Guildford branch. My friends and I have visited the restaurant on five separate occasions, and unfortunately, each visit has been marked by extremely slow service, even during times when the restaurant was not particularly busy. Most recently, we were left waiting for 25 minutes just to pay the bill, despite the fact that it had already been printed and handed to us. This lack of attentiveness and efficiency is incredibly frustrating and reflects poorly on the otherwise enjoyable food experience you offer. We had hoped that our previous experiences were anomalies, but it’s now clear that this is a recurring issue that needs to be addressed. We truly enjoy the food at Franco Manca, but the service continues to let the experience down and makes it difficult to recommend the restaurant to others. We hope you will take this feedback seriously and take steps to improve the level of service at this branch.

Ordered thrice from this place and got cold, hard-as-rock pizzas only.

I really enjoy eating at Franco Manca, and have great dining experiences at your other branches, but have been let down multiple times by the service at the Guilford branch. On each occasion I have visited with my friends, the service has been frankly, poor. Being seated at the table is the fastest part of the service, and after that it goes a bit down hill. The waiter took a long time to take our orders, and while the food arrived quickly, we had to wait 25 minutes more to pay our bill while the waiter stood by the drinks section not attending to other tables. It must be a training issue, because on each occasion I’ve been waited on by new, different members of staff, yet the service remains the same. I have had to take the service charge off our bill each time I have dined there, which is unfortunate, because the food is brilliant. It’s a shame the floor staff aren’t as adept as the kitchen team.

They gave me a burnt pizza. I mean pizza crust was burnt from one side. This isn’t acceptable.

Pizza was lovely, one of the starters was just awful, the dessert were excellent - chocolate cake. Would be nice to have wine served in wine glasses not water glasses. The service was initially good from one female however when taken over by a younger female with many tattoos it deteriorated considerably as she started chatting social with some customers and as a result other customers didn’t receive service.

Props to the kitchen staff for the delicious pizza!! However, we had a negative experience overall with the young waitress with dark hair. Upon arrival she didn’t acknowledge my friend’s allergy which I had noted on the online booking as requested, nor was the waiter who took our order aware, which was made clear when we mentioned the allergy again. This created a bad impression but we decided to give it the benefit of the doubt as it may have slipped the through the net. After our meal the wait to get the bill was around 30+ mins, the restaurant was very quiet and we kept attempting to politely get the waiters’ attention, making direct eye contact but being ignored on multiple occasions, to the point where it was uncomfortable. Once the waitress came over she appeared irritated and bluntly asked what we wanted and responded “what?” when she didn’t hear. I repeated that we would please like the bill and thanked her and she stormed off without saying anything or acknowledging that she was getting it - to the point where she appeared offended. When paying she abruptly suggested “split in half, yeah?” before we had even looked at the bill. Once we had paid she abrubtly walked off without saying thank you etc. This was made worse as there was a 10% service charge which wasn’t made clear, which we realised after paying. We are normally happy to pay a 10% service charge as we have both previously worked in hospitality and acknowledge that hospitality workers deserve it as it can be a pretty tough job. We also realise that everyone has bad days at work. However, we did not feel like this attitude and lack of manners was needed, and felt on this occasion the waitress was particularly hostile, making it an uncomfortable experience.

Best pizzas around Surrey. The only place we eat at in Guildford that serves delicious Pizza. No.5 is amazing and the chef consistently knocks it out the park. I add the 3 chilli mix which is perfect

If you want a guaranteed great pizza this is the place. Shelley the manager is brilliant and the food is always amazing. Pizza No.5 is excellent especially good with 3 chilli mix added. First rate.

The pizzas at Franca Manca have a perfectly thin crusty base and are cooked beautifully in their custom massive oven by their incredible chef. We have No.5 more often than not and add the three chilli extra topping and fresh anchovies. The chillies they use are so tasty if I could buy some I would. Shelley is a fabulous manager and waitress and is very knowledgeable and friendly. We won’t go anywhere else now for Pizza after discovering Franca Manca in Bristol. Due to their loyalty app we get a free Pizza on the seventh visit which is an unexpected and very welcome bonus.

Pizza Margerita is out best choice, great place for lunch and for dinner.

Always seen Franco Manca, but never been. Took my mum for a spot of birthday lunch and was presently surprised, Shelley the host was wonderful. Gave my mum a birthday cake 🎂 on the house, was all very cute. Would recommend 5 stars.

I had an amazing meal! The pizza was fantastic and really hit the spot. A huge shoutout to Lena, our server, who was so attentive and helpful throughout the meal. Will definitely be back soon!

The food was to a good standard, servers were polite however clearly lacked organisation and direction. I was part of a party of 10 with some opting for the Christmas deal which was great value. However it took nearly a hour to bring out 4 olives, a handful of nuts and some crackers. Eventually I had to ask where our food was and why it was taking so long, this was met with “bites” and main courses coming out at once. Food was coming out at different times eventually all food had come out but this was again around 20 minutes for the whole table to get what they ordered. After I politely asked to remove the optional service charge this was met with a child like response, snatching the receipt away and presenting the card machine without eye contact and no basic manners. In short the staff need more training.

Arrived mid week. Nothing busy. Took nearly an hour to get our food. People getting both starters and mains at the same time and others left waiting. Other tables arriving, eating and leaving before we saw a sniff of a starter. Food was great, service needs to be reviewed.

Birthday celebration for our 11 year old at Franco Manca Guildford. From the first phone call to book a table for 14 children (with Shelly the manager) through to the service and food, it was absolutely fabulous. We also had 14 parents on a separate table too which worked really well. Highly recommend for the effort and quality of the experience at Franco Manca for everyone! Thank you Shelly!!

My first visit, I really enjoyed my spicy salami sour dough pizza. Just had my second visit and was not disappointed. I had the same pizza but added extra chillies to really spice it up, it was superb!

Lovely food, however service was awful considering we spent about £100. When told at the end that we didn’t have a great time, it was disregarded and nothing to redeem it. Served by at least 4 different servers, very disorganised place.

This is the best restaurant in Guildford! The staff were so accommodating to all of our needs- massive shout out to Carrie (biggest sweetheart, so chatty- and helped us find a table during peak times) and Shelley! It also helps that the food is always delicious- check out their specials menu!! The food came out so quick! I’ve never had a bad experience here.

The manager, Carrie, tended to our every need and made our whole experience well worth it's while. We will definitely be returning again!

It’s literally like eating cardboard. So tough and chewy. Nan almost ripped her dentures out from taking a bite of their pizza.

Normally good but the pizza quality was horrific today not many ingredients and poorly made and they sold us a garlic bread for 8 quid which was miniscule. Obscene rip off. Won't come back

Shame about this restaurant as my family have eaten here for years and always had great service and great food. Now this review is not about the food but the service. We did not get to the food as the service was that appalling we left before anybody had the decency to come and ask us what we wanted. We waited for about 5 minutes and still nobody came to our table, despite there being about only 4 other couples in the restaurant and about 5 staff drinking and talking at the back of the restaurant.

Now this is great pizza. Absolutely delicious.

I can honestly say this is the best pizza I have ever eaten. No.5. The chef is a master. Perfectly balanced herb and cheese and chilli on a thin cooked base. Unbeatable.

In every Franca manca I go in the pizza is always delicious. The best thing about it is always the dough which they make fresh, it is always stretchy and puffy. They do a very good deal for children which is a perfect sized pizza, a drink and ice cream all for £8.25!!!! One of my favourites for Italian

What can I say? This FM is so good that when I visit another branch from the same franchise, it tastes like a different pizzeria. Owners care about the details. The waitresses are absolutely lovely. Best of all, the oven masters, cook, chef - well done guys, you could say you're better than many in Napoli. Thanks and keep it like that!

Visited early evening to be one of the few tables in the restaurant which doesn’t seem to be a good sign on a Saturday. Food was to expectation, can’t particularly fault it. Just a stone baked pizza done well. Kudos to the one chef actually pulling his weight out of all the team members on shift. Service was lacklustre in that no glass was provided for the drink ordered. Water glasses already on the table and yet no water offered? Noted that wine was also served in a water glass, which for a glass averaging the £9 mark is a bit unorthodox. Our drinks were finished during the course of our meal and we were not offered more even though we moved our empties to the edge in order to be easily accessible to the FOH members. No meal check, hence why we also didn’t order more drinks. The team didn’t display much professionalism? Laughing, dancing, singing and being the loudest in the restaurant. All for team morale and not being a robot at work but also there’s a threshold for how you should conduct yourself in a place of work. Band t-shirts aren’t appropriate uniform and if a member of management is to wear their own clothes they need to at least be smart surely? Appears that service isn’t important since the 10% service charge is already applied albeit optional, there isn’t much motivation since gratuity is virtually already included so doesn’t seem to matter either way to give good service. If this the case, surely they want to increase the spend per head on tables especially tables of 2 which turn quickly to increase that 10%. Could have really done a lot with us to do this by offering drinks, a dip for the crusts or offering the dessert menu. Only reason it’s not a 1* is because of the pizzas being done well. Just a shame.

I have been frequenting Franco Manca in Guildford for a while now and thought it might be an idea to say "thank you" by way of a review. The staff are always incredibly pleasant, particularly Rob - he always takes the time to give an authentic welcome and great advice on the various flavours and new additions to the menu. Pizza arrives incredibly fast, piping hot and super tasty. A lovely experience time & time again.

My first time ... won't be the last! Had a lovely lunch with a work colleague. Our server, Rob, was extremely pleasant and made us feel very welcome. Really tasty pizza. I will definitely be returning!

The waitress Lucy was amazing! I explained I was coeliac and she did everything to make sure I was taken care off. Lucy even checked on me a few times during our meal. Lucy has catered to every single one of mine and my friends needs throughout our experience. I would definitely recommend.

Booked a table in advance and turned up on time only to be offered a table too close to a couple table next to us. Looks like they were trying to cram as many people as they could, never mind how uncomfortable it might be for customers. And the light was like a search light on top of my head. Waitress was a bit rude when I asked for another table. Anyway we didn't stick around and left. Wasn't worth the trouble just for a pizza.

Staff were super helpful and friendly. Service was fast and food was lovely! What more could you ask for? :) I’d like to give particular thanks to our waitress Lucy, she made sure everything at our table met our expectations and was super sweet to talk to. Hope to see her there again!

My friend and I always go to Franco Manca in Guildford when we have a get together, we are usually looked after by Rob and he always has time to engage with us even when its busy, a really friendly and attentive chap. We were looked after last month by Lucy and Lina, again, both were excellent... Lucy has brilliant banter with the punters, which is great to see. We work in hospitality and therefore recognise excellent customer service and these guys give it out in abundance! The pizzas are amazing, we'd say the best I've ever had anywhere in the world... and we travel a lot! The scotch bonnet sauce is HOT and the house white wine is very good... great service, great food and excellent value for money... what more could you want? We will be back soon!

We had the pleasure of dining at Franco Manca in Guildford on Wednesday, 29th May 2024, to celebrate my father-in-law's birthday, and the experience was nothing short of brilliant. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly greeted. Our waitress, Lucy, was absolutely fantastic. She was incredibly attentive and went above and beyond to ensure that we were comfortable and well taken care of throughout our meal. Her friendly demeanor and genuine hospitality added a special touch to our celebration. The pizza at Franco Manca is, without a doubt, some of the best we've ever had. Additionally, we were pleasantly surprised by how reasonably priced everything was. Considering the quality of the food and the exceptional service, Franco Manca offers excellent value for money. Highly recommend!

Great restaurant with great vegan food options, and I love how relaxed and casual it is. Great staff as well, our waiter was Rob and he was very helpful and attentive! Great for kids and babies as it has plenty of high chairs and a kids menu. Accessible toilets with a baby change area as well which not everywhere has.

I came in here to claim a free pizza for having run the London marathon. All the staff were so lovely, especially the manager, but I unfortunately did not get her name! She was so sweet and kind.

We had my daughters birthday party here for 10 x 8yr olds and the staff really looked after everyone. The food was great as usual and the girls enjoyed seeing the pizzas being made. The staff went above and beyond helping us with the cake. Everyone had a great time. We will be back soon.

Despite us being a large group of 11 on a busy Friday night we were able to combine a couple tables so we could all sit together. Apologies to any customers we may have disturbed by being loud but we had a wonderful time and unsurprisingly there was not a crumb left afterwards as everyone’s pizza was fantastic including my meat special which had a fluffy crust but a thin base that was cooked just right. It was reasonably priced too and a big thank you to our waitress who let us all pay for each part of our bill separately.

Food was really good especially number 7 from the pizza options. Service was amazing our waitress, Lucy, was a gem so nice and accomdating, made me feel really comfortable! Food was slightly pricey but apart from that really enjoyed having lunch there!

I stopped for lunch at Franco Manca Guilford with some family recently and had a fabulous experience. The food was fantastic and fresh, and my pizza was absolutely sensational. The tiramisu was also very good. The staff were all very friendly and attentive, and the whole meal was very well priced for the quality of the food and service. If you’re looking for great pizza – there really isn’t anywhere better in Guildford town center!

The pizza is always good but what has prompted me to post a review is the extraordinary kind and considerate service received from Carrie, who was serving the evening of 27 February. She went above and beyond and should receive at a minimum recognition by Franco Manca, and ideally an increase in whatever she is currently being paid.

Excellent pizza unless you object to dried herbs (other half does ...) however we would definitely go again. Freshly cooked sourdough pizzas for reasonable prices. The children loved theirs.

Great place for super affordable, and amazing pizza - burata starter is unreal, and no.5 pizza is best I’ve had in a long time. Shelly was our waitress and was brilliant - we were celebrating a friends engagement and had a Prosecco on the house, a very nice touch to end a fantastic meal, will be back soon no doubt!!!

There might be something going on with their food…. Every time we eat pizza at Fanco Manca somebody in the family ends up with a stomach ache and digestion difficulties. This time it’s my son who couldn’t go to school due to being sick.

Lovely food and friendly staff, a little bit expensive but we will go back for sure! 👍

Went with kids. Perfect portion sizes, colouring sheets etc. And the pizza was as good as ever
