My first visit, I really enjoyed my spicy salami sour dough pizza. Just had my second visit and was not disappointed. I had the same pizza but added extra chillies to really spice it up, it was superb!

The sourdough Pizzas are great. Freshly cooked to perfection. Staff are friendly and attentive. Wide choice of Pizzas including Vegan options

Lovely food, however service was awful considering we spent about £100. When told at the end that we didn’t have a great time, it was disregarded and nothing to redeem it. Served by at least 4 different servers, very disorganised place.

The manager, Carrie, tended to our every need and made our whole experience well worth it's while. We will definitely be returning again!

This is the best restaurant in Guildford! The staff were so accommodating to all of our needs- massive shout out to Carrie (biggest sweetheart, so chatty- and helped us find a table during peak times) and Shelley! It also helps that the food is always delicious- check out their specials menu!! The food came out so quick! I’ve never had a bad experience here.

It’s literally like eating cardboard. So tough and chewy. Nan almost ripped her dentures out from taking a bite of their pizza.

Normally good but the pizza quality was horrific today not many ingredients and poorly made and they sold us a garlic bread for 8 quid which was miniscule. Obscene rip off. Won't come back

Shame about this restaurant as my family have eaten here for years and always had great service and great food. Now this review is not about the food but the service. We did not get to the food as the service was that appalling we left before anybody had the decency to come and ask us what we wanted. We waited for about 5 minutes and still nobody came to our table, despite there being about only 4 other couples in the restaurant and about 5 staff drinking and talking at the back of the restaurant.

Now this is great pizza. Absolutely delicious.

Quality of ingredients is very good however far too little toppings on the pizza; even with extra topping purchased I had to search out the chicken

I can honestly say this is the best pizza I have ever eaten. No.5. The chef is a master. Perfectly balanced herb and cheese and chilli on a thin cooked base. Unbeatable.

In every Franca manca I go in the pizza is always delicious. The best thing about it is always the dough which they make fresh, it is always stretchy and puffy. They do a very good deal for children which is a perfect sized pizza, a drink and ice cream all for £8.25!!!! One of my favourites for Italian

Recently discovered chain serving up quality pizza with delicious toppings at a reasonable price. Pleasantly surprised.

What can I say? This FM is so good that when I visit another branch from the same franchise, it tastes like a different pizzeria. Owners care about the details. The waitresses are absolutely lovely. Best of all, the oven masters, cook, chef - well done guys, you could say you're better than many in Napoli. Thanks and keep it like that!

Visited early evening to be one of the few tables in the restaurant which doesn’t seem to be a good sign on a Saturday. Food was to expectation, can’t particularly fault it. Just a stone baked pizza done well. Kudos to the one chef actually pulling his weight out of all the team members on shift. Service was lacklustre in that no glass was provided for the drink ordered. Water glasses already on the table and yet no water offered? Noted that wine was also served in a water glass, which for a glass averaging the £9 mark is a bit unorthodox. Our drinks were finished during the course of our meal and we were not offered more even though we moved our empties to the edge in order to be easily accessible to the FOH members. No meal check, hence why we also didn’t order more drinks. The team didn’t display much professionalism? Laughing, dancing, singing and being the loudest in the restaurant. All for team morale and not being a robot at work but also there’s a threshold for how you should conduct yourself in a place of work. Band t-shirts aren’t appropriate uniform and if a member of management is to wear their own clothes they need to at least be smart surely? Appears that service isn’t important since the 10% service charge is already applied albeit optional, there isn’t much motivation since gratuity is virtually already included so doesn’t seem to matter either way to give good service. If this the case, surely they want to increase the spend per head on tables especially tables of 2 which turn quickly to increase that 10%. Could have really done a lot with us to do this by offering drinks, a dip for the crusts or offering the dessert menu. Only reason it’s not a 1* is because of the pizzas being done well. Just a shame.

wine served in a water glass, pizza lacked toppings, and last pizza was very slow to arrive seats very uncomfortable all in not a good experiance.

The service was top notch. The ambiance was really great too. Food could have been better, the pizzas didn't feel that fresh. The cheesecake was pretty good though. Overall, a decent experience.

I have been frequenting Franco Manca in Guildford for a while now and thought it might be an idea to say "thank you" by way of a review. The staff are always incredibly pleasant, particularly Rob - he always takes the time to give an authentic welcome and great advice on the various flavours and new additions to the menu. Pizza arrives incredibly fast, piping hot and super tasty. A lovely experience time & time again.

The waitress Lucy was amazing! I explained I was coeliac and she did everything to make sure I was taken care off. Lucy even checked on me a few times during our meal. Lucy has catered to every single one of mine and my friends needs throughout our experience. I would definitely recommend.

My first time ... won't be the last! Had a lovely lunch with a work colleague. Our server, Rob, was extremely pleasant and made us feel very welcome. Really tasty pizza. I will definitely be returning!

Booked a table in advance and turned up on time only to be offered a table too close to a couple table next to us. Looks like they were trying to cram as many people as they could, never mind how uncomfortable it might be for customers. And the light was like a search light on top of my head. Waitress was a bit rude when I asked for another table. Anyway we didn't stick around and left. Wasn't worth the trouble just for a pizza.

Staff were super helpful and friendly. Service was fast and food was lovely! What more could you ask for? :) I’d like to give particular thanks to our waitress Lucy, she made sure everything at our table met our expectations and was super sweet to talk to. Hope to see her there again!

My friend and I always go to Franco Manca in Guildford when we have a get together, we are usually looked after by Rob and he always has time to engage with us even when its busy, a really friendly and attentive chap. We were looked after last month by Lucy and Lina, again, both were excellent... Lucy has brilliant banter with the punters, which is great to see. We work in hospitality and therefore recognise excellent customer service and these guys give it out in abundance! The pizzas are amazing, we'd say the best I've ever had anywhere in the world... and we travel a lot! The scotch bonnet sauce is HOT and the house white wine is very good... great service, great food and excellent value for money... what more could you want? We will be back soon!

We had the pleasure of dining at Franco Manca in Guildford on Wednesday, 29th May 2024, to celebrate my father-in-law's birthday, and the experience was nothing short of brilliant. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly greeted. Our waitress, Lucy, was absolutely fantastic. She was incredibly attentive and went above and beyond to ensure that we were comfortable and well taken care of throughout our meal. Her friendly demeanor and genuine hospitality added a special touch to our celebration. The pizza at Franco Manca is, without a doubt, some of the best we've ever had. Additionally, we were pleasantly surprised by how reasonably priced everything was. Considering the quality of the food and the exceptional service, Franco Manca offers excellent value for money. Highly recommend!

Absolutely love every number on the menu, however if i was forced to pick one itd be 5 . Obsessed with Salad dressing, unfortunately they they dont sell these, but Shelley branch manager gifted me a collection of these, Great customer service, Shelley and Lina great team, thanks for the gift.

Great restaurant with great vegan food options, and I love how relaxed and casual it is. Great staff as well, our waiter was Rob and he was very helpful and attentive! Great for kids and babies as it has plenty of high chairs and a kids menu. Accessible toilets with a baby change area as well which not everywhere has.

I came in here to claim a free pizza for having run the London marathon. All the staff were so lovely, especially the manager, but I unfortunately did not get her name! She was so sweet and kind.

Enjoyed the kind and friendly service from Lucy. As well as quick and good quality food. Accompanied by a great atmosphere.

We had my daughters birthday party here for 10 x 8yr olds and the staff really looked after everyone. The food was great as usual and the girls enjoyed seeing the pizzas being made. The staff went above and beyond helping us with the cake. Everyone had a great time. We will be back soon.

Despite us being a large group of 11 on a busy Friday night we were able to combine a couple tables so we could all sit together. Apologies to any customers we may have disturbed by being loud but we had a wonderful time and unsurprisingly there was not a crumb left afterwards as everyone’s pizza was fantastic including my meat special which had a fluffy crust but a thin base that was cooked just right. It was reasonably priced too and a big thank you to our waitress who let us all pay for each part of our bill separately.

Such good food and drinks at such a good price, couldn’t recommend more. Lucy was absolutely wonderful as well, so friendly! Will be back soon!

Food was really good especially number 7 from the pizza options. Service was amazing our waitress, Lucy, was a gem so nice and accomdating, made me feel really comfortable! Food was slightly pricey but apart from that really enjoyed having lunch there!

The best Pizza place in Guildford, without any doubt. Was my first visit and young ladies called Lucy and Lina served us! Went through the whole menu and helped us choose our pizzas. Awesome service. Food was sooo good but the service was excellent!! Highly recommended!!

I stopped for lunch at Franco Manca Guilford with some family recently and had a fabulous experience. The food was fantastic and fresh, and my pizza was absolutely sensational. The tiramisu was also very good. The staff were all very friendly and attentive, and the whole meal was very well priced for the quality of the food and service. If you’re looking for great pizza – there really isn’t anywhere better in Guildford town center!

Good pizzas, a Neapolitan would have some fault with them, but it is the best you will find around here. Good ingredients.

The pizza is always good but what has prompted me to post a review is the extraordinary kind and considerate service received from Carrie, who was serving the evening of 27 February. She went above and beyond and should receive at a minimum recognition by Franco Manca, and ideally an increase in whatever she is currently being paid.

Excellent pizza unless you object to dried herbs (other half does ...) however we would definitely go again. Freshly cooked sourdough pizzas for reasonable prices. The children loved theirs.

Great place for super affordable, and amazing pizza - burata starter is unreal, and no.5 pizza is best I’ve had in a long time. Shelly was our waitress and was brilliant - we were celebrating a friends engagement and had a Prosecco on the house, a very nice touch to end a fantastic meal, will be back soon no doubt!!!

There might be something going on with their food…. Every time we eat pizza at Fanco Manca somebody in the family ends up with a stomach ache and digestion difficulties. This time it’s my son who couldn’t go to school due to being sick.

Our fourth visit here, and we enjoy the simplicity of the tender sourdough pizzas. Sunday lunch visit, and it was averagely busy. Staff were relaxed and attended to the tables well. The children's menus are good value for money.

When i went to the restaurant it was super yummy with a nice atmosphere but when i ordered a “click and collect” takeaway my pizza was awfully made. Not enough sauce and too much oregano.

We have ordered about 6 times since moving to Guildford and every time it has taken ~1.5 hours for them to complete the order, even on quiet days. We live only 5 minutes away and it always arrives completely cold. It is very overpriced for what eventually arrives and I always get the impression in Franco Manca’s restaurants that the staff do not care. We will not be ordering again.

Cheap looking and limited menu. There were 13 of us, and they could only supply 3 pizza's at a time, so some had finished before others arrived. Staff did their best but I would have to be dying of hunger before I thought about retuning. Most of the others in the party were also disappointed.

Wonderful food, quick service and lovely staff! Absolutely loved the chilli dip! Ordered the bruschetta thinking it was vegetarian and had to advise the staff that we had made a mistake in the order. Shelley very kindly removed it from the order and asked if we wanted a vegetarian version. Shelley was super friendly, provided a quick service, made us feel very welcome and really looked after us. The special pizza was nice and tasty, with the garlic bread and mozzarella. So the food and service are good at a reasonable price.

Always so keen for a Franco Manco’s it’s always so good. My dad and I had the specials pizza which was delightful with Njuda and basil. So tasty and fresh. We shared a beef ragu pot with bread, again so unbelievably delicious. I tried their Christmas specials cocktail with hazelnut liquor, cream and cinnamon which isn’t my go to type of cocktail but I could have drank 10. Our waiter Lucy and the rest of her gang were so polite, chatty and friendly, so thank you guys!!

We found the service really poor. The staff seemed to largely ignore us (& those tables around us) - we had to ask to have our order taken after waiting for ages. And when we asked they said “oh do you need the bill?” - Our starter came with our mains - No one came to see if our food was ok - we got some water but no glasses - No one cleared the table until we asked them to as the puddings came. Food was average. The pizzas had raw slices of garlic on them! Wouldn’t recommend.

Finest pizza in Guildford. Proper Italian sour bread that is the most authentic i’ve had in the area. All the waiting staff were lovely and patient with me. I’ll be coming back again!

Friendly efficient service. Delicious pizza. Waitress was suitably attentive but not intrusive and we felt able to take our time even after paying the bill.

I asked a table for one person (just myself). Waitress' Answer was: 'No'. I worked in the restaurants for 10 years. I gave a glance around and there where at least 2 potential tables, just used from previous customers. They need just a quick clean and they could be available.So I replied: 'Could a table for one be available soon or later?' ANSWER: Oh, yes! it will take 15 minutes, but serving time are around 20/25 minutes.' (It seems she persuaded me to give up) I reply:'Ok, i can wait'. (I was so hungry). I took the seat and I ordered. One antipasto bruschetta and pizza #4.(so they can recognise me while they read this review).Ordering bruschetta was my way to give the pizzaiolo some extra time for making the pizza. I ate my bruschetta with burrata (i come from The Town where burrata was invented- no good no bad). After 40 minutes I ate my bruschetta, the pizza has not arrived yet. Other customers arrived after me were served, and almost concluded their dinner. The same waitress of reception approached me and asked:" I was your dinner? Would you like the bill?. My answer:' Are You joking? (basically they totally forgot my order). I mentioned that to a woman who looked like a sort of manager, although i am not really sure. She looked surprised but not enough to apologise. My beer was finished, therefore i ordered a new one to her(offering the second beer as the first one was finished as it took ages for a pizza it would be a good gesture -but she didn’t do it). When I tried the pizza....i realized that it was better for me if it did not arrive at all. It was very bad. It was chewy, some part burned some other row, low quality ingredients not arranged well. I ate it, no time for discussion and looking for a new restaurant. I ate it, i paid it, i left.I lived in Brixton when Franco Manca opened the first pizzeria. I used to love it, but now it seems a English pizzeria taking advantage from the reputation of great italian pizzeria that used to be. Never again.

Food was okay, cold and not the best. Service was unbelievably bad, I waited one hour for some tap water and over an hour for my pizza, not to mention how long it took to order. Turns out the manager ate my pizza! Would not recommend especially since the food was not worth the wait. Then the bill took around 30 minutes

second visit within a month now after finding this great pizza place first with a friend then brought my family for the second time. staff super friendly, and food is incredible really nice larger too. Best place been to for ages and 100% recommend and will be back.

Service let it down, too many chiefs. Had to ask to get served drinks and food, did not get a come back to ask how good was, asked for the bill twice. Pizza chefs did a fantastic job.

We attended Franco Manca in Guildford for my birthday. The service was amazing. Very friendly yet professional. Clearly a great team that are good at their job. And, as ever, the pizzas were brilliant.

Me and my friend went for dinner after the cinema. What a lovely dinner we had, our weirder Lucy was super nice, friendly and professional. Our pizzas were delicious. Super recommended!

Lucy and her mum Shelley were SO wonderful they really made the experience for me and my sister!! Obviously the pizza was incredibly delicious too - genuinely can’t wait to visit again when I’m next in Guildford!!

This restaurant always makes a great Pizza, i would easily say its the best in town! Definitely reccomend for a cute date-night or somewhere for the family! Staff are amazing, always helpful and friendly. Unidays discount is a plus too! 😎

Consistently good pizzas served by friendly staff, for verly little money compared with other restaurants of comparable food quality. I come here frequently with my daughter and friends, and even by myself. Yum.
