Blue Sardinia in Guildford

Treated ourselves for a date night here and weren't disappointed. Food was beautifully presented and delicious. The lemon oil with the burrata was wonderful and a huge portion of gnocchetti that was well balanced. The staff were wonderful and friendly and attentive. I'd love to go back and try the tasting menu with wine when I'm not pregnant. Thanks for a great meal.

I loved it! It is a rare find to eat at an Italian restaurant that puts much effort into the vegan menu as well as the meaty one! - in my experience. The wine menu is also impressive. I/we will be back!

Definitely one of the best restaurants in Guildford! The food was incredibly flavoursome and absolutely delicious. They have a dedicated vegan menu that even includes a few dessert options (the one I picked was mouthwateringly good). The staff really make you feel at home and will offer wine pairing recommendations. Highly recommend!

We were looking for a place to eat tonight and stumbled across Blue Sardinia earlier on in the day. Honestly, some of the best food we have eaten in ages. The staff were attentive, & they made sure we felt super looked after, as well as the food being incredible from start to finish. It was fresh, tasty and left us wanting to come back asap. Couldn’t recommend it enough ! I had the carpaccio with truffle, potato and mint ravioli and the tiramisu to share - my partner had the squid & rib tagliatelle They also have amazing amazing wine! What a fantastic restaurant! Firstly it's very conveniently located right opposite the Castle Car Park. Then once inside, staff were friendly and a warm atmosphere. Everything we ordered was amazing and we can't wait to come again. Thank you!

Celebrated a big birthday with 20 others. Food excellent, service brilliant and staff very attentive. Big shout out to Cinzia for helping to organise. Everyone had a lovely evening, our glasses we kept topped up all night and there were no delays in food being brought to the table. Only downside - need a better alcohol free beer option. All in all we will definitely be going back for the next "special" occasion

We have been twice so far, quality food with attention to the detail, lovely wine selection and bit of intimacy as the restaurant is located little bit to the side of high-street. Great for any occasion and great spot for Italian on Guildfords map! X

We visited Blue Sardinia restaurant for my husband’s birthday last week. We had previously been years ago and loved it but sadly hadn’t made it back since. The restaurant more than lived up to our memories- food was absolutely incredible. A highlight was the potato and mint ravioli but everything we had was divine. The ambience was lovely and the service was perfect- really friendly and efficient. We remembered it being quite expensive when we went before but I think while the coast of eating out has risen so much in the past few years Blue Sardinia has kept its prices reasonable so it’s now much more in line with other restaurants and offers significantly better value than most! I’m surprised more people don’t know about this restaurant- I would highly recommend it and we will certainly not be leaving it so long before we go back this time!

The restaurant recommended by a friend has a very nice environment and the overall dishes are very stylish. The owner is very nice and serves authentic Italian food. I recommend the scallops and calamari, which are very fresh. The seasoning is very good, I will try it again next time.

This is by far the best experience we've ever had in Guildford. We booked a reservation to celebrate our Chinese valentines day, and the chef made a lovely decoration of napkin with rose for us. The food was amazing. The wine she recommended was harmonious with the food. The service was impressed. Everything is just perfect. We will definitely come here again.

our evening here was one of the most disastrous establishments all round we have been to. cocktails not known which is which when served, no fruit for them either. 90 mins. before any starter. after 3 hours and still no dessert menu. time to move on. food could be better as could the service. only one person takes the orders, and on a busy saturday, not good enough.

Went here fir dinner as had goid reviews. The night we went the meal for 4 of us was very slow. The table next to us waited almost 2 hours fir main course. We had the tasting menu food tasted good wine pairing was very good but incredibly slow service.

A gem of Italy in Guildford, it stands the fiery competition of Italian restaurants in Guildford. Wide range of food available, even some local Sardinian specialties you won't find around. Wine list is rich and sophisticated. Definitely worth visiting. The owner's kindness when we were there with a large group has been superb and added value to our evening!

Delicious food - the bresaola starter is the most perfect mix of flavours and the choice of Vermentino is excellent. Wonderful service from all the staff and we all love Cinzia of course!

This is probably the best Italian restaurant in Guildford. We have eaten here a couple of times over the last few years, and the food has been delicious each time. Most recently, the lamb meatballs and burrata were both amazing starters and the gnocchetti and green ravioli were also excellent. Very good wine selection too. Service was friendly without being overly attentive. Would 100% recommend and we will be back again soon!

My boyfriend and I went to Blue Sardinia for the first time today, we returned to Sardinia for a day even though we were in England, the only thing missing was the view of the sea! I absolutely loved the experience at Blue Sardinia. I went there because I wanted to have pasta. It was the best decision for me as the food was delicious. I ordered a shrimp linguine and it was perfect. Both the texture and flavor was appetizing. Also, the ambience was cozy and comfortable. The staff was very welcoming. Both Rajan and Yulia ensured my experience was nothing but amazing. They were checking regularly if the food was up to the mark and if we needed anything else. This made us feel very welcomed and seen. It was good to be able to communicate our requirements throughout the duration. The tiramisu was spot on as well. Overall it was a very pleasant experience and I'd definitely recommend it to more people.

Blue Sardinia is definitely the “Hidden Gem of Guildford”. We have enjoyed dinner there as a group both before and after attending G-Live and also as a couple frequently for dinner. Food here is reliably of a high standard and is delicious , staff absolutely charming and the atmosphere is relaxed. Definitely recommend for family, couples or business.

Lovely restaurant with a traditional Sardinian feel. We chose from the vegan menu and had a lovely bruschetta to share followed by a vegan lasagna which was one of the best I have tasted. The dessert was delicious and we would definitely visit again. 10/10 😋

Hidden gem alert! Fantastic family run foodie place. Home-made dishes including of course their pasta. If you’ve never had fresh pasta, you’ve never lived. It’s different. Take your time over it instead of discussing the football results at full volume. Their prosciutto was salty divinity and their lemon tart melted dreamily and tartly away, tempered slightly by the fresh crème anglais. Soon there won’t be places like this left. It’s a marvel. A subtle, natural, unostentatious but sit up and surprise me marvel. How on EARTH did I keep missing it? Opposite the Castle car park too.

There is a multitude of mediocre restaurants in Guildford town centre. Most of them don't last long. A lot of them are noisy and fashionable. However, tucked away behind the High Street in Sydenham Road is a little gem, the Blue Sardinia, that has been there for years. This is still the best restaurant in town if you like good, fresh, simple well-presented food and friendly service. Cinzia runs this small, elegant venue with dignity and charm, and we always eat well. This time I had the Sea Bream with spinach and mashed potato, beautifully fresh fish simply cooked, with a crisp Gavi glass of wine, and then a gorgeous raspberry cheesecake, a dessert to die for. We will return!

A bit difficult to find but if you want to enjoy Italian cuisine you should go here. Prices are okay for the region. Menu with wine accompaniment is recommended.

What a joy to find a restaurant serving authentic Sardinian cuisine. Lovely decor, good atmosphere and friendly staff. The food was delicious and the Sardinian wine brought back lovely memories of past holidays in the beautiful island of Sardinia. Not the cheapest but well worth it for the best meal we've had for a long time.

My friend and I booked for an early dinner before going to a show at G-Live, which is under 10 minutes walk away. Throughout, the service was impeccable - friendly, knowledgeable and attentive without ever feeling intrusive. The advice on the dishes to try was spot on for us, everything we had from the Sardinian bread and olives, through baby aubergines with goat's cheese, steak, and Millefoglie was delicious. We chose wine by the glass and both thought it was lovely - there were a couple raving about the wines from the cellar, so I'm sure there's plenty more to explore! When visiting Guildford I like to park in the Castle Car Park, and this fab restaurant is very close by. A little sad I didn't make it to the restaurant when I was working in Guildford, we would make this place our first choice when we are in the area again. Thank you to the family and staff for a wonderful start to our evening.

Honestly really dissatisfied . Due to the reviews, we thought this would be a great place to eat - until we were sorely disappointed. The cannelloni was watery, flat and not cooked well. The spaghetti with mussels was also incredibly salty. So much that I had to send the food back. They did consider my allergy to scallops, however did not replace the scallops in the dish with anything else. Atmosphere was quiet and serious - despite a bustling town. Staff nice enough but very serious. Overall not worth it. Olivo was great in comparison, despite the price being cut in half!

I personally think this is the best Italian restaurant in Guildford. The ambience at Blue Sardinia is perfect, with a cozy and inviting atmosphere that makes every visit special. Let me tell you about the desserts I tried this time. The cheese fritter with bitter honey was a delightful surprise. The fritter was crispy on the outside, and as I took a bite, the creamy cheese inside oozed out, creating a perfect blend of textures. The sweetness of the cheese paired with the slightly bitter honey created a harmonious contrast that was truly satisfying. The panna cotta with passionfruit was another star on the menu. The panna cotta was incredibly smooth and velvety, with just the right amount of sweetness. The tangy and vibrant passionfruit sauce on top added a refreshing twist to the classic dessert. To wash it all down, I enjoyed a Shirley Temple, which has always been a favorite of mine. The blend of flavors in this non-alcoholic drink is simply delightful and a great choice to complement any meal. We went to Blue Sardinia with a last minute booking after we couldn't get a table at one of our favourite restaurants nearby. We are so pleased we tried it. The food and service were excellent. The menu had a good range of unusual pasta dishes and main courses - all at very reasonable prices. We will definitely be back.

Perfect for a special treat, food and wine are sublime

Food was average and expensive for what it was. Beetroot and ‘whipped goats cheese mousse’ starter, was a tiny slither of shop bought pickled beetroot, and a lob of thick goats cheese log on a plate with two croutons. Mussel Volute was tiny and priced at £15. The waiting staff were nice, but one the ladies was rushing us to finish the meal and get the bill. It’s all about the turn over, no love joy or atmosphere in this restaurant. Sadly I wouldn’t recommend it and would not return.

Just has a great Monday lunch with some old friends. Tim suggested the restaurant and having just been in Sardinia agreed it was a great idea. Our hostess and her brother were very welcoming. Cinzia always gives a warm welcome, with the professional team around her. It’s a ‘one sitting’ restaurant, slightly in the know for the lucky locals. Set away from the High Street, in an unobvious building, this is the place to eat delicious, well presented, Italian cuisine. To be frank, it’s hard to eat out in Guildford and enjoy a meal we wouldn’t cook at home but this is our place for that. Thank you for another delicious and fun evening.

We had a lovely meal last night at this restaurant last night. The food was so tasty and beautifully presented. The restaurant had a Lovely atmosphere and the waiters were very good and attentive. I couldn't fault it I am a qualified chef so to get a good review from me doesn't come easy. We have booked to come back with friends in a few weeks' time because we loved it so much.

Despite eating in an empty restaurant because we had theatre tickets booked we enjoyed our experience. The service is so very friendly - thanks to Yulia, Cinzia and Rajan for being so welcoming. I would rate the food as being at the fine dining end of Italian cuisine but not reaching the very top. I particularly enjoyed my Vitello Tonnato starter and my ice cream and sorbet dessert, My king prawn linguine main course (black linguine) was tasty but the quantity of prawns was somewhat small. My wife's fish main course was rather mushy and her creme brulee dessert not too exciting. The Vermentino wine we had by the glass was excellent.

The best Italian restaurant in Surrey for a birthday celebration! My starter was a vegan vegetable terrine, for my main I opted for a gluten free mushroom pasta and my friend had a fantastic black linguine with clams. The dessert we shared was delicious "beautifly decorated" chocolate and cherry cake. Attentive service and great attention to details- very accommodating with dietary requirements . Wide selection of mocktails I really enjoyed the Shirley Temple. We will definitely go back.

We spent a wonderful evening with my boyfriend in Blue Sardinia. We had prawn linguine and branzino first. Then, we ordered tuna steak (that was outstanding, highest quality) and two starters: vitello tonnato and duck salad. Finally we concluded with a tiramisù and a vodka based sorbetto which we never tried before. Everything was delicious, comprising the Italian white wine we drank. Thank you for the amazing dinner.
