My wife and I tried Blue Sardinia for the first time and really enjoyed it. One of the owners had a nice chat with us, and our waiter was friendly. The food was lovely.

This was a Mother’s Day lunch. We had three courses including a shared starter. The service is impeccable. We enjoyed all three courses. We’d characterise the food as authentic Italian and everyone including families were in attendance.. The Vongale was probably the best dish with the fried zucchini a close second. We really enjoyed the Tiranisu! Everyone was friendly - not sure what previous reviews about grumpy staff were. We saw none of that.

I booked a table for two for my girlfriend and I. Wonderful atmosphere, fantastic food and service. The owner sat with us as we told her our story of our two week anniversary of our finding each other, she had a tear in her eye. She gave us a complimentary lemon liqueur and gave my girlfriend a hug at the end. This is a magical place. It has my highest recommendation. You have to dine here.

We had an absolutely excellent lunch at the blue Sardinia and ate tasty pasta dishes. There was a very nice atmosphere. The restaurant feels quite upscale but the prices are reasonable. The wine list is extensive while the food menu is just the right length.

The food was delicious and the service super. Cinzia, the owner, was super friendly. I’m from Sardinia and I asked for a typical Sardinian dessert,Sebadas or Seadas. Despite not being in the menu, Cinzia was so kind to make me trying one of the Sebadas that she prepared for personal use. Thanks Cinzia for this and for made feel at home.

The food is always great, the service impeccable and I love the Sardinian vibe.

Went here for Valentines day and ate from their valentines menu. I had the scallop starter which wasn't to my liking as it was served cold with a passionfruit sauce, it just didn't work for me but that's not to say it wouldn't suit someone else's taste. The main was lobster and that was delicious but a small portion, even the chips on the side was a very small handful. Then desert I had trifle which was delicious but my partner had the milk chocolate fondant which you needed a chisel to break apart into edible pieces! Atmosphere was good and staff were friendly just a mixed opinion on their food. The price wasn't extortionate though at £65pp for three courses and a cocktail but still more than I personally valued the meal.

It’s always a treat coming here. My favourite is the cannelloni and haven’t had it this good elsewhere. The service is great too. Rajan is a legend.

Today yet again we enjoyed an excellent lunch with a friend. This lovely family run and owned little gem never fails to please, the food is of a very high standard and so obviously freshly cooked. The wine menu, where do I start, the first class choice of very exceptional Italian wines and all priced very reasonably especially for the quality. We make the trip from Horsham and to able to sit and enjoy such beautiful food and wine, totally unhurried, makes the trip so worthwhile. Not forgetting the very warm and friendly welcome from the beautiful host and her staff. Ci vediamo presto!

Blue Sardinia is a real gem. Freshly cooked, authentic Italian cuisine showcasing flavours from across Italy, with outstanding starters , perfect homemade pasta, and an excellent wine list. The warm, attentive service makes every visit special. And no pizza, because it is not a pizzeria. If you are after pizza, try their sister restaurant Shardana. Highly recommended!

Finally tried Blue Sardinia, and it didn’t disappoint! The scallops with goat’s cheese mousse were delicious, followed by perfectly cooked lamb cutlets and beef fillet—great quality and value at £65. We finished with a delightful Italian trifle, the perfect end to the meal. The restaurant was fully booked, and while service was a little slow due to the Valentine’s rush, the staff were clearly trying very hard to make the experience a great one. The food was well worth the wait, and the warm ambience made for a lovely evening. Highly recommend and will definitely return!

We went to Blue Sardinia in Guildford for Valentine’s Day but unfortunately it was a disappointing experience. The restaurant had a set menu priced at £65 per person but the options were quite limited. Since it was Valentine’s and everywhere else was fully booked, we decided to give it a try. The portions were very small to the point that we had to order extra starters just to feel satisfied. Thankfully, they allowed it. Even so, the food was underwhelming, lacking the quality and flavour we expected for the price. The service was also slow and despite asking twice for something, it never arrived. We were not the only ones feeling this way. We could hear other couples complaining about the portion sizes and the menu choices. One couple asked if they could order something other than what was on the set menu and when they were told no, they decided to leave. As they walked out, we overheard them saying they would just order a takeaway at home, knowing they would not find a last-minute table elsewhere. The staff were polite and the atmosphere was pleasant but overall it did not feel like good value for money at all. I had specifically chosen this restaurant for an Italian dining experience but the only pasta dish available was mushroom lasagna and there was no pizza on the menu. The mushroom lasagna was truly disappointing! Honestly, even a Tesco Ready Meal would have been more enjoyable. It did not feel like a true Italian experience at all. In comparison, Positano (another Italian restaurant in Guildford) is miles ahead in terms of food, service, and authenticity. As for dessert, every option on the set menu included fruit, which was disappointing as I do not eat fruity deserts. I am not sure what the menu is like on a regular night, but overall, I was not impressed. For the price we expected much better. Unfortunately, it was not worth it and based on this experience, I would not recommend it.

We had a lovely Valentine’s evening great atmosphere and the food was wonderful. Scallops carpaccio, beetroot with bitter honey……only 4 stars because it was very very busy but everyone was very relaxed.

Went for Valentine’s Day meal. Food was really bad. Like terrible. Inedible. Left starving. Staff didn’t seem to understand what was going on and kept charging us for things we didn’t order. Shambles!!

We visited at 7pm on a Thursday and had the pre-theatre menu. Great value at £30 for a glass of prosecco and 3 generous courses. The vitello tonnato starter was lovely, and the crema catalana was to die for. Friendly service. We would highly recommed and will be back soon!

Everything about the place was fabulous. Tucked away, off the high st in Guildford, we found this treasure! The service, the menu, the food were excellent and the Papperdelle a Ragu was the best I’ve ever had… delicious. We will be back for more, thank you

I was looking forward to going here, we were very disappointed however. I ordered off the menu and had spaghetti carbonara which was incredibly dry and my husband had the ravioli dish, a small anaemic dish arrived, which again was dry and uninteresting. There was a female who appeared to be in charge, she was very brusque and unfriendly. Beware if you go here, service charge was added as they went along, ie on a bottle of wine and then again when we paid the bill. We asked for it to be removed as the service was not very good and nor was the food.

Treated ourselves for a date night here and weren't disappointed. Food was beautifully presented and delicious. The lemon oil with the burrata was wonderful and a huge portion of gnocchetti that was well balanced. The staff were wonderful and friendly and attentive. I'd love to go back and try the tasting menu with wine when I'm not pregnant. Thanks for a great meal.

Visited this amazing restaurant at the beginning of this month with a friend. It’s not easy to find a good Italian restaurant when there are loads to choose from. We had their signature smoked duck and it was the best duck we have had in England so far. For mains we had the crab risotto and spaghetti alle vongole and they were impeccable ( Coming from Italy I think I can say that 😜). The place has a cozy romantic atmosphere and I would totally recommend if you’re going out on a first date. The staff is very friendly and welcoming and they even poured our drinks and tap water from time to time. Overall I enjoyed being there for the couple hours that we spent in the restaurant and I am definitely looking forward to come back to this place on our next trip to Guildford.

Definitely one of the best restaurants in Guildford! The food was incredibly flavoursome and absolutely delicious. They have a dedicated vegan menu that even includes a few dessert options (the one I picked was mouthwateringly good). The staff really make you feel at home and will offer wine pairing recommendations. Highly recommend!

We were looking for a place to eat tonight and stumbled across Blue Sardinia earlier on in the day. Honestly, some of the best food we have eaten in ages. The staff were attentive, & they made sure we felt super looked after, as well as the food being incredible from start to finish. It was fresh, tasty and left us wanting to come back asap. Couldn’t recommend it enough ! I had the carpaccio with truffle, potato and mint ravioli and the tiramisu to share - my partner had the squid & rib tagliatelle They also have amazing amazing wine! Celebrated a big birthday with 20 others. Food excellent, service brilliant and staff very attentive. Big shout out to Cinzia for helping to organise. Everyone had a lovely evening, our glasses we kept topped up all night and there were no delays in food being brought to the table. Only downside - need a better alcohol free beer option. All in all we will definitely be going back for the next "special" occasion

What an amazing leading restaurant for GUILDFORD. At last you do not have go to a restaurant chain or franchise. B SARDINIA provides local excellence. This is not the first or last time we shall go here with client, friends and family. It is superb. The young lady boss is a delight, her brother a soon to be fully qualified sommelier make the marriage seriously work. Great food and. Great wine, if you stay on the Italian. Great place to go and to be. AVOID THE FRENCH WINE. everything else is superb

We have been twice so far, quality food with attention to the detail, lovely wine selection and bit of intimacy as the restaurant is located little bit to the side of high-street. Great for any occasion and great spot for Italian on Guildfords map! X

We visited Blue Sardinia restaurant for my husband’s birthday last week. We had previously been years ago and loved it but sadly hadn’t made it back since. The restaurant more than lived up to our memories- food was absolutely incredible. A highlight was the potato and mint ravioli but everything we had was divine. The ambience was lovely and the service was perfect- really friendly and efficient. We remembered it being quite expensive when we went before but I think while the coast of eating out has risen so much in the past few years Blue Sardinia has kept its prices reasonable so it’s now much more in line with other restaurants and offers significantly better value than most! I’m surprised more people don’t know about this restaurant- I would highly recommend it and we will certainly not be leaving it so long before we go back this time!

The restaurant recommended by a friend has a very nice environment and the overall dishes are very stylish. The owner is very nice and serves authentic Italian food. I recommend the scallops and calamari, which are very fresh. The seasoning is very good, I will try it again next time.

This is by far the best experience we've ever had in Guildford. We booked a reservation to celebrate our Chinese valentines day, and the chef made a lovely decoration of napkin with rose for us. The food was amazing. The wine she recommended was harmonious with the food. The service was impressed. Everything is just perfect. We will definitely come here again.

our evening here was one of the most disastrous establishments all round we have been to. cocktails not known which is which when served, no fruit for them either. 90 mins. before any starter. after 3 hours and still no dessert menu. time to move on. food could be better as could the service. only one person takes the orders, and on a busy saturday, not good enough.

Went here fir dinner as had goid reviews. The night we went the meal for 4 of us was very slow. The table next to us waited almost 2 hours fir main course. We had the tasting menu food tasted good wine pairing was very good but incredibly slow service.

A gem of Italy in Guildford, it stands the fiery competition of Italian restaurants in Guildford. Wide range of food available, even some local Sardinian specialties you won't find around. Wine list is rich and sophisticated. Definitely worth visiting. The owner's kindness when we were there with a large group has been superb and added value to our evening!

Delicious food - the bresaola starter is the most perfect mix of flavours and the choice of Vermentino is excellent. Wonderful service from all the staff and we all love Cinzia of course!

This is probably the best Italian restaurant in Guildford. We have eaten here a couple of times over the last few years, and the food has been delicious each time. Most recently, the lamb meatballs and burrata were both amazing starters and the gnocchetti and green ravioli were also excellent. Very good wine selection too. Service was friendly without being overly attentive. Would 100% recommend and we will be back again soon!
