Raw pizza with very little tomato! Years ago we ate well but lately NO! Very "hurry" service, you almost feel uncomfortable being at the table. Goodbye!

family of four and we had a tremendous time here. we shared several starters, the garlic bread was supposed to come out at the same time but there was a little delay which we really did not mind but the waitress wanted to make everything just right for us and said it would be on the house. the pizzas were huge and so tasty, i had the meat calzone. Fennel salami might be overpowering for some peoples taste but I actually loved it. There was one waitress in charge of everything the night we went there. I never got her name but her attentiveness, professionalism, and friendly attitude in the midst of a very busy shift for her was highly commendable. Thank you, we will be back.

Great spot for me and my family, well catered to coeliacs. Big shout out to our server Charlie who was really understanding and helpful with my allergies, we will definitely be back for more of her recommendations and hopefully an espresso martini or two!

Lovely pizza and had the bottomless brunch, was a great time and lovely atmosphere. Everyone was very helpful, especially Lily, who sorted everything for us, she was very funny

The meals are absolutely delicious but the ordering app is absolute rubbish. We have experience of ordering with the local app supplied to The Railway (a delightful pub nearby) and often have to request the learned help of the landlords. Today we attempted the Deliveroo version and separately on apple and Samsung my wife and I went round in tortuous app circles, wasting 15 minutes each before making a snack at home. May G*d help us when AI takes over. Kindest regards and hopes for some user friendly app development, from Peter & Roz Brighouse in Manchester ( elderly but capable users of the internet)

Service was poor. Waitress made a mistake and didn’t bother to let us know so we waited for over 40 minutes. She could have have simply told us and we would have ordered a little appetiser ( especially because our son was so hungry!). The pizza is greasy, small and expensive Go to iRuddy’s., it’s way better!

Service was great, food excellent, it was novel to see the pizzas being cooked in a big clay oven. Enjoyed my elderflower cider and Neptuna pizza which was cooked perfectly. Really grateful to Izzy for being a really fabulous server.

Quick shout out for Proove Pizza and our fab waitress Izzy. We were a large group so could have been tricky but service and good all great. Pizzas excellent as we're the olives and doughballs, homemade desserts great to.

I recently dined at a charming pizza restaurant with one of my friends, in a loveley location. The ambiance was inviting, making it a great spot for a casual meal. Our waitress, Mia, was incredibly accommodating, ensuring our dining experience was delightful. She offered excellent recommendations and checked in frequently, making us feel well taken care of. I highly recommend this place for pizza lovers!

Most definitely the BEST pizza around and we always find the service faultless.

The pizza is excellent, however the place always seem understaffed on weekend evenings. The staff are lovely, but rushed off their feet and it took a while to get served. We had to ask for a new round of drinks each time. The most disappointing aspect, as others have mentioned, is constant stream of Deliveroo riders hanging around the place. Not acceptable when you are paying for a sit down meal. I mentioned this to the staff on a previous visit but nothing appeared to have been done about it. I really hope management address these issues as other wise Proove is an excellent spot.

My wife who works at Tesco was about to have her break, so i walked in here about 5 minutes before her break to get the food ready. I was sat down immediately. I ordered, waited 5 minutes for my wife to arrive, she sat down and 10 minutes later our food was there! Very quick and it was delicious, good value as well. We had a salad and a pizza. I would like to come here again sometime.

Waited 40 for my pizza to arrive which came before my starter. The restaurant wasn’t very busy with maybe 2 other tables there. I was on my own as away on business so was sat on a small table next to the front door. The issue there is there is constantly 3-4 disgruntled Deliveroo riders waiting who are also complaining about the service time. The staffs reply is there was only one chef one and he only had two hands. So amongst the constant Deliveroo pick ups I made the staff aware that they had forgot my starter an hour into my time there. They apologised and said they would remove it from my bill or box it up to take it away. I declined ordering a dessert as didn’t want to wait however long that would be and it was a very frustrating atmosphere. Once paid and read the receipt it turned out they hadn’t taken the starter off the bill and even had the cheek to add a service charge. I wouldn’t recommend and certainly wouldn’t go back. Oh and the Pizza was ok. Genuine stone baked and authentic style although not much cheese.

Been here a few times and it's always been very nice. Tonight not so much. We waited 1.15 mins for our starters, then a further 40mins for mains. I saw 2 couples come in after us, get served and leave. Very frustrating

Both had a Calzone which were served with terrific beer. Would highly recommend.

Visited Proove this week for only my second time. Service was impeccable from Mary who looked after us from greeting to payment. She really is a credit to the friendly team and we will definitely be back for more Aperols made by her! She was particularly helpful in navigating the vegan menu, advising we get the parmigiana as a first choice option. Overall a great evening, my only critique would be the aged interior decoration which could do with a more sophisticated update in comparison to other venues I’ve visited.

Went for Lunch, was quiet and food was fantastic. I don't like how restaurants now automatically add a tip, even if discretionary as it adds pressure on the guests.

Insuficiente personal y servicio muy lento. No estaba ocupado, pero parecía estar priorizando pedidos para llevar / aplicaciones de entrega, lo que significaba que esperábamos para siempre por nuestras pizzas. Bonito cuando se trataba, pero el servicio no era bueno - vasos estaban apilados en la mesa y repetidamente tuvimos que pedir bebidas que tomó mucho tiempo. Siento pena por el personal, solo 3 de ellos haciendo su mejor esfuerzo, pero en general no es una buena experiencia.

Sin embargo, cuando entramos a las 9. 20 era bastante tranquilo, aparte de una cola de conductores de AP de entrega. Inmediatamente el servidor nos dijo que necesitaba comprobar si la cocina estaba abierta. A las 9. 20 . Es una cocina abierta. Literalmente un horno de pizza en la esquina. Con personal haciendo pizzas para llevar. Tuve la clara impresión de que no se preocupaban por servirnos. Nos ofrecieron asientos a regañadientes en una gran mesa comunitaria a pesar de que era tranquilo. Honestamente. La pizza estaba bien. Nada memorable pero bien. Comimos. Pagado. Izquierda. Media hora. Cuando Rudys en Didsbury tiene colas afuera en un día de semana, Prove necesita mejorar su juego. Hay al menos otros seis lugares que sirven pizza artesanal.

Spot on in Didusbury. Went in for the first time, perfect design. Not too busy but still some table, (which is great for a Tuesday morning). Pizza was perfect as were the fries (proper Italian seasoning 😂❤️). That cheesecake OMG, gotta find out how they make it!!! Reagan (hoping is the right spelling 😂) amazing waiter attentive and always smiling, which is rare nowadays😊 Overall full, but happy!😃

Came here for a Friday night treat but was really disappointed with our visit to the point I couldn't recommend this restaurant. We were seated in a nice spot below the open skylight which was nice and bright, but the service was very poor, ordered drinks which took a while to come, then followed by taking order for food, pizza and fries were ordered...Pizza's came but the fries never did, we assumed they would bring them out, however half way through pizza we had to ask a lady where they are which she said they were coming.. then still no fries, we ask our original server he goes to have a look and at the same time we ask for mayo for our crusts, he replies yeah sure... again nothing comes, a while after he tells us sorry the fries were never put un fryer, so we say forget them - and still no mayo! Its a shame as pizza was nice but it was ruined by being on edge all meal waiting for things and constantly trying to get our servers attention to the point you cant relax or thinking 'should i eat my pizza or wait for other part to appear'. Then the bill comes with fries still on the bill and a £5 service charge, so my boyfriend goes to the till to rectify this problem and asking for service charge to be taken off as the service was terrible. Thankfully the woman takes fries, service charge off and the drinks which was good of her! Server was just really inattentive and relaxed and it really did spoil the meal.

Ordered their gluten free pizza naively thinking it would be wheat free too considering that's most of the time the case and they didn't write absolutely anywhere it's not. Allergen menu doesn't include gluten free option either. Long story short after a few bites i realised my mistake but had a bad allergic reaction. So if you have wheat allergy do avoid.

What can I say the pizza was lovely - I opted for a calzone filling but in a pizza instead and this did not disappoint. Once again the 2-4-1 cocktails at happy hour were still on. The staff were attentive, friendly and nothing was too much trouble

The gluten free pizza base felt undercooked and there wasn't much cheese on either the pizza or the cheesy garlic bread. The service was quite slow as they seemed to prioritise deliveroo orders over orders from those dining in. It wasn't awful but there are much nicer pizzerias in Manchester.

Ok but won't go back. Chips were really disappointing. We were squeezed in between other diners. Pizza OK but nothing special.

A spontaneous decision to go there on Saturday night turned out to be a delicious experience. It was by some distance the best pizza I have had anywhere in the UK; in my case the Diavola with extra rocket. The pizza bread was beautifully cooked fresh from the oven with all piquancy you would expect from this particular choice. The restaurant is light and airy. We had a table next to the kitchen which enables you to see the chefs at work, but well protected from any uncomfortable kitchen heat. The bottle of Barbera was decent and reasonably priced. The table service was extremely warm and friendly. All dishes were served promptly. Definitely one to return to the next time we’re visiting our son in Manchester.

My Mum and I had heard about Proove from friends who are regular diners, and as we were visiting the area from North Yorkshire for a tour of Salford Quays, we decided to treat ourselves. We weren't disappointed! Lovely menu and ambience, attentive and friendly staff. Everything was seamless, from ordering our meal through to asking for the bill. We had a lovely time, and will definitely go back.

Came across this business by accident whilst travelling for work early February. Having had such a great experience the first night I ended up eating here regularly whilst visiting Manchester. Really friendly staff, cocktails where so nice and the pizza was really tasty. I'd highly recommend eating here if you get the chance.

1st time at this wonderful restaurant, what a wonderful experience visiting this marvellous eatery. Went on a group booking for what I thought was just a pizza, wow it is so much more. The food is to die for, also the service, quality of food presented and general ambience of this fine establishment is a true gem in the middle of West Didsbury.

It’s one of my favourite pizza place in Manchester. If you want guaranteed good pizza, this is the place you want to go. The staffs are all lovely, taking care of guests so well. Also it’s nice to see the kitchen that you can tell the chefs are working so hard to make a great pizza for you.

We’ve visited Proove in Didsbury a couple of times and had a lovely experience. It’s been a while since we last went and if there’s been a shift in management, it shows. Me and my partner visited for a valentines meal and it was hugely disappointing. Staff were poorly trained and inattentive, not once did we receive a check back and after ordering, we had to remind wait staff to bring us our drinks and starters, after a 45 minute wait for food. We sat down at 8:30 and didn’t receive our mains until 9:45pm, by which point they had ran out of an ingredient for one of our pizzas, they arrived at different times and one had clearly been sat under a hot pass for a while. When we notified the staff that we were unhappy with the experience, we scarcely received an apology for the service. When wait staff consulted the manager he didn’t bother to speak to us directly or offer his apologies. We have both worked in hospitality ourselves and appreciate the stressors of restaurant work on a busy night, but the restaurant was understaffed and poorly managed. The food was late and average, we will not be returning.

DO NOT EAT AT THIS RESTAURANT. Not unless you want to spend the evening watching the kitchen slavishly churn out orders for Deliveroo. Staff ignoring miserable, hungry customers. Countless valentines evenings ruined. Shambolic. Never again. We gave up and ended up getting a pizza from the co-op on the way home. 👎

Ordered the pizza with Pesto as the base, cant recall the name of it. It was actually really nice. The pesto flavour was clearly coming through, the veg on it added more flavour. The waitress had the Mozzarella cheese substituted to Vegan which was good of her. She was a really pleasant girl (tall, slim with short hair) it's nice to visit a place where the staff are pleasant. Forgot to mention the Fries with a fancy name on the menu were just standard fries, that came a bit later than the pizza. The only thing that made me slightly sad faced was, i ordered pineapple juice but got apple instead. I can maybe understand the confusion.. apple pineapple, but yh, that's minor. All in all, it was a lovely pleasurable dining experience

Ordered from deliveroo all the way from Stockport. Pizza was still gorgeous even though it was only slightly warm (due to long journey, can't be avoided). Sign of a really good pizza. This place definitely has an edge on the other authentic pizza places in Manchester. The lunch deal is fantastic

Very good pizza. Not the best I’ve ever had (I would say Rudy’s is slightly better) but in combination with the really nice staff and the nice atmosphere you will not leave unsatisfied. The Burrata is excellent and the arancini is a must have. It’s really hard to find good arancini in Manchester (they’re like a deep fried rice ball filled with spicy meat)

First time having a meal here, and it was lovely. Staff were really polite and attentive and the food was great. The only thing I’d say is that the middle of the pizza was a little too wet BUT once I cut a slice and folded it over it was fine. Great portions, really nice variety of flavours, definitely something for everyone. The star of the whole evening was the biscoff cheesecake. The dreamiest cheesecake ever. Also very accommodating when it came to bringing an assistance animal with us. Would absolutely return to Proove :)

Went last weekend after hearing positive things so thought we would give it a try. We were quickly sat down even though the place was quite busy given it was a Saturday night. The server who took our order was really nice and we thought we would have a good time. We got the olives to get us going, they were ok at best. Our garlic bread arrived but was burnt. We tried to eat it but it wasn’t edible. We told the waitress and she took it away and we asked for it to be taken off the bill as we didn’t want a replacement. At this point, they should have requested for our mains but this didn’t happen. We noticed that tables around us were getting food so we questioned the waitress and she said she would check on it but didn’t give us any feedback. We waited for a while and then asked what was happening and that if it was going to be much longer we would just leave. Eventually the mains arrived, two calzones and a couple of starters. One of calzones again was burnt so was sent back and had to wait again for another to be made. The calzone had a decent flavour but wasn’t worth the wait, the arancini was quite bland, little disappointing. When the bill arrived, it had a service charge included. We told the waitress, given the service hadn’t been great and the food kept arriving burnt, that we wanted it removed from the bill. She then went to remove it but we could see her complaining to other staff behind the bar about us refusing to pay service. Overall, the food isn’t worth the hipe and the service was mediocre at best.

Great place for fresh Naepolitan pizzas, Italian appetisers and coffee located on the chique Burton Road, West Didsbury. Detailed review: Visited the place for a child's first birthday party and so managed to sample a bit of everything. The place was large enough to accommodate a crowd of 25 well behaved adults and still have spare tables for the regular customers. Good ambience and lighting with simple decor and an elegant stone bake Naepolitan oven. The garlic bread and pizzas were fresh with good vegetarian options as well. The anti pasti verdure was refreshing and loved by all. Quite a few drinks options with spirits, beer and good coffee. The staff were pleasant and very helpful. Parking is a universal concern at West Didsbury, but there are options on Orchard Road, Vicker Street or Cavendish road park. Definitely recommended as a good place to catch up.

Ordered a vegan pizza, was given a normal Funghi pizza instead, only to be told half way through eating it that it wasn't vegan and I was given the wrong pizza. Not the best thing to hear when I'm lactose intolerant. Some food never even showed up, even after asking multiple times. Specifically went there because of the vegan options. Organisation might have been off on the night, but seems to have let it down on this occasion.

I don’t know why people are so obsessed with Rudy’s when Proove Pizza is 1000 times better! They also have so many vegan options and their vegan lotus cheesecakes is unbelievable. Service is good and quick!

A group of us came here for a birthday meal after being recommended by a friend. The food was very good however the service was terrible. We spent most of our night trying to grab a servers attention and when we finally did, they’d walk off before we’d even finished ordering and not wait to hear the rest. This happened on numerous occasions where we had to call them back because we were not finished ordering. My starter had been forgotten off the list and eventually arrived when everyone else had finished theirs. It was the tiniest portion for something extremely pricey. We also requested that our chips came with our mains, which instead came with everyone else’s starters. When our mains came, one server gave my pizza to someone else and called it the wrong name. Luckily, we were able to work it out before anyone had started eating and swapped them back over. I would not be writing this review if the servers had turned around at the end and apologised for any of the inconveniences and perhaps even knocked my starter off the bill after it was so late. All it takes is a little acknowledgement and I would have walked back through the doors to give the place a go again. However, it was the total disregard for the shocking serving that caused me to walk out without any intent to come back.

Pizza was authentic and tasty also loved the dressing on the salad..only downfall was could do a bbq base pizza apart from that service was good and reasonably priced

Had to drop my 5 star rating as the quality of service on our last 2 visits has been poor to say the least resulting in Luke warm pizza .Real shame that the staff have changed to foreign people or students , no problem with that but surely a necessity to understand us when ordering?Dirty glasses capped it all . Won't return.

Couldn't fault this place if my life depended on it. Walking in, the smell alone intoxicated me. Such a rich, rustic scent of pizza dough from the woodfire ovens hit my nose and I literally had to stop moving just to take in the moment. Food speaks for itself, pizza is incredible and the supporting menu items are well crafted. Staff and service is top notch, friendly, warm and helpful. And for the price!!! Me and my mate had cocktails too - I swear I've been to other restaurants and eateries where I've paid triple the price for half as good an experience. Couldn't believe how cheap the bill was! Will definitely be back every time I'm in West Didsbury 💕
