Terrible service for a so called well known Restaurant. Just turned away for food even though there were tables sat and not busy. Claimed to be shutting due to maintenance yet their kitchen was busy, open and we could see them making pizzas! After a great weekend in Manchester you were the worst part. Do not recommend.

We ate on a Wednesday evening. Poor service overall, had to wait to be seated - too busy on phone to supplier and seemingly short staffed. Restaurant ambience ruined by takeaway delivery drivers coming in and out & poor music choice Had a long wait to order food & drink and not enough staff to deliver drinks whilst waiting.

Zizzi, Manchester Corn Exchange has a lovely ambience but unfortunately it took three attempts for our food to actually arrive at the temperature it should have been! Twice both meals were cold, after waiting over an hour for the third attempt, finally our meals were piping hot! Just ashame my prawns had been cooked three times over, but at least my pasta was fresh! Warm white wine is not very pleasant as apparently their was none in the fridge! I must say though, our server was "Wonderful!" Zara is her name & she saved the evening! What a polite, well mannered young lady she really is! All credit to her, she completely turned a disaster into a pleasant meal!

Went to Zizzi last night and we were served by Jess! We come to Zizzi Corn Exchange regularly and all of the staff in there are amazing but Jess just went above and beyond to make us all smile and was so accommodating for everything we needed 😊 Great food as always! Thank you for a lovely night and we will definitely be back soon. ❤️

Booked a table and as we walked up to the reception desk I asked if we were ok to use Tesco vouchers on a Sunday, waitress said yes and gave us the menus. We then ordered three lots of three course meals from the menus the same waitress had given us and she took the orders no problem. Then when we came to pay a different waitress said we couldn’t use the Tesco vouchers on the three course menus and so it ended up costing more to split back to individual items. We also didn’t get any of the pasta chips that are supposed to come with each meal, despite other diners getting there’s automatically. Not a problem if the Tesco vouchers can’t be used on the three course menus, but all staff should know this and the waitress should have told us this when we order and we would have ordered differently. £125 for three people in Zizzi is a bit steep in my opinion. Left feeling a bit annoyed and duped.

I took my daughter and my 4 month grandson to Zizzi’s on 4th March 2025 for lunch. We were served by Nicola who told us they only had one chef working so it would be 25 minutes for food. We were ok with that as the baby needed changing and we just wanted to catch our breath. We ordered a drink and also our food and had the lunch offer. I have to say it took a while to realise that Nicola was the only person on waiting duty and there were more than half a dozen tables including a big group table. We could not fault the service or the food. They made it all look so easy despite there only being two of them working. We had a dab lunch, food was really great and Nicola was awesome! Thanks for a lovely lunch experience. 😀

I went to eat at Zizzi, the place is very nice, and the food was delicious. They have gluten-free pasta and pizza, which is a plus because one of my relatives is celiac. The only complaint is that the restaurant was almost empty, with only 3 or 4 tables at most, and they took a long time to bring us the food.

Came in this afternoon for a lovely pizza served by Lois who was very attentive and made sure we were well taken care of! Would recommend asking for a booth if available! Will be returning when I am back in Manchester.

Great downstairs eatery, sadly hard to see if it open. We only found it because some brave customers tried the door. The service is fab the food is exactly what to expect from a food chain. Loved the primavera pizza.

Four of us were out for a meal at Zizzi’s (Corn Exchange). Whilst the restaurant was packed, this did not delay service or let the quality of food slip! We really enjoyed everything! The lemon drizzle martini was delicious and we even stayed for desert! Raspberry Collins cheese cake & Honeycomb cheesecake. Zara was brilliant and worked hard.

Wouldn’t recommend. We had a table for 6, but it was small and cramped and in a draughty location. Every time the front door opened for delivery drivers coming and going we were freezing. Food was decent, but service was average - they were alow taking orders. Despite not being all that busy, food came out sporadically and not at the same time. Drinks orders sat for ages on the bar, and we had to remind the staff to get them.

First time we have been to Zizzi. We usually go to indrpedanr Italians rather than chains but thisvonr was near our hotel in Manchester so we thought why not. We were not disappointed. Georgia was a fantastic first contact and also throughout our meal. The food was really good. We had the bombe to start and bit was very tasty. Does not look a lot to start but when you get into it it's more than enough as a starter for two. My wife is quite picked, she uad a spaghetti pomedoro and she thought it was brill. Had a nice lunch here with my mother. My mother had the Six Layer Lasagna which she thoroughly enjoyed. It looked so good that I had to steal a mouthful. Totally worth it! I had the Mediterranean Sea Bass. Not bad. Plating was a bit clumsy and dish lacked a couple of ingredients (courgette ribbons and roasted red peppers). A handful of the larger pieces of potatoes were slightly undercooked. Both ended our lunch with a tiramisu each which were devoured in seconds! Was well looked after by Georgia. Service was smooth and attentive even though she had the whole restaurant to take care of alone. A credit to the team here.

We had a brilliant pre-theatre meal at Zizzi’s when it was really busy. Both our pasta meals were scrumptious and as a coeliac, I was catered for very well. Lauren was a superstar, at tentative, friendly and lovely! She is a great asset to you!

Food was frozen in middle, so sent it back 30 mins later still waiting… then it came back luke warm in the middle…didn’t fancy food poisoning so we just left. Felt for the waiting on staff having to excuse the terrible chefs. Absolutely awful.

Wednesday 5th February Lunch. My 3 friends and I met for our regular bi- monthly lunch. We have been doing this at Zizzi for some time. This time it was obvious that Jess was the only front of house person and as far as we could see there was only one chef. The food was very good as always and Jess was always welcoming and polite. The problem was that a large party arrived as well as other diners which made the service somewhat slow. In the end we had to leave hastily to catch our trains/buses. Didn't get chance to thank Jess personally for her valiant efforts. We have already booked for our next lunch and hope that there will be more than one server on that occasion

Great meal, nice venue, and Nicola was amazing!

We were a party of 13 people pre booked. Had a lovely greeting from Jess who showed us to our table,which had been set for us, she gave us all a menu and told us she would return shortly. After waiting a while it was very obvious that Jess was the only front of house member of staff working, and there were also a number of other customers dining. Orders for drinks taken and delivered, orders for food taken and then we had a long wait as there was only one chef working, they both did a fantastic job under the circumstances. I however feel that knowing we were coming at 1pm there should have been more staff at both front of house and kitchen. Our group has used your restaurant many times usually with over 20 of us, today's experience will make us think again, not because of the staff Jess and Chef need a big thank you. (Yes l did thank them in person before leaving) Your restaurant has now gone cashless, nowhere on the menu or before you enter is this information displayed. I also do not recall seeing it on your Web page when l made the booking.

It’s always a pleasure to come to Zizi’s at the corn exchange in Manchester and this time was no exception. We were served by a lovely young lady called Georgia who explained that she was on her own with 1 chef and there might be a little wait for food. We were so impressed by her calm, friendly and professional manner and she worked hard whilst keeping her cool under pressure. I felt that our food was served quite quickly knowing that there were only 2 staff on duty. We ordered the chicken and the salmon salad with a garlic motzerella bomb each (if you’ve never tried one they are a taste sensation!). The bill was a lot less than we were expecting as we had a voucher through the zillionaires club feature, which is definitely handy to download as there are always offers and you can collect points towards free starters or cocktails. To sum it up, the food was great, the atmosphere was friendly and the server was wonderful 10/10

This was my first visit to Zizzis in Manchester and it did not disappoint. The restaurant is fab! Delicious food and great atmosphere. The customer service was excellent too. I will definitely be visiting again soon. ☺️

We can not speak too highly of our experience at Zizzis this evening. The restaurant was short staffed and they weren't able to serve us for 30 minutes which was made clear from the outset. But we waited in a warm space and we reserved beautifully by Zara and Georgie...so courteous and cheerful despite being so busy. We loved the food and really liked the atmosphere...the leafy arch as you go in and near which we sat is lovely. Thanks to Zara and Georgie and the entire team.

Georgia and Zara here amazing! Service was great, and so was the food! We were here for a birthday celebration the staff were very good in helping us with a cake and song! Only thing is there were only two servers in a busy restaurant. We could see the servers were trying their hardest and rushed off their feet. Could maybe have staffed up a bit more.

Unreal customer service from the 2 girls, Zara & Georgia! Short staffed and a packed restaurant, these 2 absolutely gave us 100% commitment, from making our drinks to serving our food and then singing us happy birthday to our friend with big smiles on there faces! 10/10 service! Great teamwork! They was born somewhere but raised at ZIZZI!

Amazing service from Georgia and Zara. A group of us were celebrating a friend’s birthday. Girls were very attentive and never left us waiting. However I didn’t see any other staff members on the floor. So considering is was very short staffed the girls did a brilliant job and would definitely return if the girls would serve us again.

Zara and Georgia were absolutely fantastic and treated me and my friends superbly while celebrating Fredrick’s birthday! 8 years old is a massive milestone and I’m so glad they got to see it in with us. Once again thank you so much Zara and Georgia. Best Wishes, The Freddies.

Good food good service, nothing super special but still a good time. Got the Rustica Black Truffle Salami & Mushroom. It was delicious although took quite some time to come out, decor and atmosphere was nice too. Would recommend 👍

Made to wait 10 mins with no acknowledgment from staff. Had to wait a further 10 mins cos table want ready. Restaurant was half empty? Had to wait long periods in between being seated to asked if want drinks and then in between courses. 40 mins between starter and main! Also restaurant was very very cold with cold air blowing constantly. Temp outside was 1degree!

Zizzi is an Italian restaurant, which is located in the Corn Exchange of Manchester City Centre. We ordered garlic bombe, half & half sticky pig pizza, lasagna and calamari. The food is delicious. Esp. the waitress and waiter, they provide attentive and good service. Thumb up.

Delicious Italian food! We were with a large group, but everything was done to make sure we had dinner! Service with a smile! The food was really tasty! So delicious that we also had dinner there the next evening! Highly recommended!

We walked into an empty restaurant, asked for a table for 4 adults and 2 children and we're told they couldn't accommodate cos they didn't want to "stress out the chef". Wow, just wow! I thought it was a restaurant not someone's grandma's house we'd rocked up to!

We had a christmas party for 14 people here this week. The pre-ordering process was very easy and simple to use, the manager Natalie kept me updated prior to the event and the team on the day were brilliant. The food was lovely, all came out with good timing so no one was waiting around, they were very attentive and helpful.

I ordered sweet potato fries and had to send them back as they were burnt. I understand these things happen but then the same burnt fries were returned. I challenged this and the waitress placed her hands on the top of them to check if they were hot! I then advised that I wouldn’t be eating burnt fries or fries that had been touched by the waitress hands. There was no discount offered off the bill - very disappointing.

Had to wait over 45minutes for the food to arrive. Had we been told this on arrival we would have happily gone elsewhere. We had to sit there with our coats on as the restaurant was cold. We ordered the spaghetti bolognaise and lasagne. When the food eventually arrived, we had to ask whether the spaghetti bolognaise was a kids portion as there was literally half a table spoon of look warm bolognaise sauce on top of a small amount of spaghetti. I sent it back as it defiantly was not worth the £17 price tag! My wife being very pregnant and hungry committed to eating her very dried up lasagne. The garlic bread was also over done, dried up and cold. Other tables surrounding us were also remarking on how long the wait was for food was. We were prepared to accept the hefty wait time in return for some delicious food. However that was not the case. Very disappointing experience especially with how expensive the food was. We will not be returning. We have been to Zizi’s before and enjoyed it so this was very disappointing.
