Service was really good. Food was super outdated. I wouldn’t recommend. Worst Sea Bass I have ever had. It was more like a fish soup that’s how much sauce was there. On one top of was so vinegarish that could barely eat it. My girlfriend appetizer wasn’t prawns with salad. It was mayo with salad and prawns. Nevertheless service was amazing O do believe that if they change a menu it can be a great place.

First time here, found it online as was near the academy- which was the reason we were in Manchester. From the the minute we stepped through the door the staff were brilliant. Menu was everything you’d expect and more from an Italian restaurant. Lovely vibe , great service and food was 10/10. We will certainly be going back again.

I have visited this restaurant many times when visiting Manchester on a theatre trip, and have always enjoyed the delicious food. This time the food was lovely as always, but our visit was somewhat spoiled with the service. We waited an age to order drinks - there was a VERY LOUD waitress called Sophia I think (Irish girl) who was just way over the top. She was incredibly loud and one of the reasons we waited so long was the length of time she took to serve the table next to us because of the constant flirting with one of the guests. I'm all for interacting and having a laugh with customers but it was ridiculous. It won't stop me visiting again and hopefully she won't be there......

Busy vibrant place with a good atmosphere and decent food albeit a bit pricey (£29.00 for a bottle of wine, £23.95 for Lobster Ravioli?). The limited choice pre-dinner menu was £25.95 for two courses but desserts and drinks/coffees push this up somewhat. Overall very nice. Only downside is it's location. Central Manchester is a congested nightmare whether driving or in a taxi. The council obviously don't want motorists.

Never been before. Work team meal on our visit to Manchester. The manager was very welcoming and happy to have a quick chat as we got seated. Staff were knowledgeable about the food and really friendly. There is a great variety of meals on offer here. Chicken and rice dish was so fresh and filling. The freshly made pizzas were perfectly cooked and there was plenty of garlic bread to go around the group. The meatballs were very popular with the group and pasta dishes. There was a great atmosphere all round and we didn't feel rushed at all even though we seemed to chat amongst ourselves for ages and the restaurant filled up without us really noticing! Prices were very reasonable, especially with the food quality, service and we all had plenty of drinks. You do have to go down a set of stairs to get into the restaurant, I walk with a stick and did manage easily, so it's not too badbut would obviously be a problem for a wheelchair user.

Special outing for 70th birthday 🎂 After going to an afternoon matinee at the Palace theatre we wanted a restaurant near Oxford Road train station and the theatre. Giorgio's is literally round the corner within a short walk. We had booked which we were glad we did; very popular. Starter and main - delicious. Worst food we have eaten, microwave meals are better than what they serve ! The chicken breast was so hard, they think large portions make up for the poor quality of the food. The majority of the staff don't know what they are doing, not sure if they got them to cover from standing at the bus stop opposite and the manager (blue shirt) was stressed and not very friendly. We are down in Manchester from Glasgow for a concert in the new CO-OP Arena. Out for a walk around Manchester early on a Monday evening, getting hungry opened Google maps to see an Italian restaurant, kept walking looking in a few, looking at some until we came across Giorgio on Portland Street. Looked very nice inside and we went in. Our meals arrived and were absolutely delicious. Service was second to none. When we went in it was a Monday 6pm and by the time we left 7.45pm. It had went from only two tables being used to full, so I imagine it would be a very busy place most of the time. Highest marks to the owners and staff. Thank you for a delicious meal.

This spot was one of the best meals we had on our 2 week UK tour. Staff was friendly, outgoing, and the food was delicious. North American friends be warned -- the 'garlic bread' starter is actually an 18" lovely thin crust pizza oozing in cheese. So good! It's a large dish though, so we ordered half portions of penne and the special: a mushroom cream gnocchi that was outstanding. Even with pre and post dinner drinks, and shared dessert, it was still extremely good value! Highly recommend.

I had the spaghetti arabella (I think that’s what it’s called), garlic bread, fries, and a chocolate fudge cake. I’m 90% sure that it was the pasta that made me feel this way. I had booked for the pre Theater dinner at 5pm. We arrived a little early but the sign on the door said “We are open, come in.” So we did. On entering a very grumpy, brusque waiter showed ourselves and another party to our tables, chuntering away saying they were not open yet. Our table was probably the worst in the restaurant. Menus were unceremoniously thrown at us and then we were ignored. After some 15 minutes I had had enough and we walked out, going to nearby Turtle Bay, where we could not have been made more welcome. We come into Manchester a lot, but I will never return to this restaurant.

Ate as a couple on a Saturday evening at 6pm. Unaware that we would be limited to the theatre menu. Asked for the main menu but was told it was only available from 6:45. Ordered the steak at a £2.50 premium. The steak was supposed to be rare but was far from it. It was medium at minimum. The real sore point however was the fact that my large glass of house red wine was £12. Quite a ridiculous price. I hadn’t checked the price but had expected it to be around £8. I questioned this as the bill arrived but was told it was on the menu. Finally when I arrived home I realised the bill didn’t add up and I think I was overcharged. It should have cost £23 per person plus £2.50 surplus for steak plus £12 for wine plus £8 for a Malibu so a total of £68.50 but I was charged £70.50. Only £2 over but still annoying.

Bit of a mixed experience. Food was okay but definitely not worth what they’re charging, I’ve been to much nicer Italian restaurants in Manchester with much more reasonable pricing. We weren’t told when booking that we would only have access to the set 2 course pre-theatre menu, I would have chosen another restaurant had I known this. I’m not sure what time you’re allowed a proper menu, we booked at 5:30. The toilets are tiny and in the lady’s one of the doors is swollen and doesn’t shut. They are clean but your legs are sat right up against the bin in the toilet. If you were plus size or had mobility issues (the toilets are down a flight of stairs also) I think you might struggle. There were a few little things that were missed, the salt and pepper were in the wrong containers so you couldn’t get any pepper through the single hole. Things like clearing side plates after starters, replacing used cutlery etc. we had to ask for. On a positive note, they catered for our gluten free guest- they have gluten free pasta (although her starter of soup came without any bread as they didn’t have a replacement for this). The servers we had were lovely and they calculate the check with and without a service charge and you can choose which you pay which is nice.

Visited here with my daughter before seeing a show at the theatre. The service was very quick in terms of taking drink orders and food orders and the food coming out. The food was average, probably slightly overpriced for what it was and the wine was expensive at £7 for the smallest glass. The reason behind my poor score is the manager/owner. I feel sorry for the staff working here (who were all great) because he seems like an absolute nightmare to work for. I sat eating my meal watching him order the staff around while he stood at his little desk thing, I witnessed him speak in an awful manner to one of the waitresses when she asked him if a table of customers could have the al a carte menu instead of the pre theatre menu as they didn't want that menu. I heard him snapping/speaking at the same waitress in a condescending manner on more than one occasion. This brought down the atmosphere and made it a very tense, awkward dining situation. After we had finished our starters he actually left his little desk thing to come and collect our plates, whilst doing so he said "look at those clowns" and laughed while nodding his head towards some of the staff that were near the bar. Literally speechless that he would even continue to belittle them so brazenly. He told us he would bring the bill but never did, waited 10mins before asking another member of staff, another 10mins passed before we were given the bill. It seemed like he was the only one that dished the bills out. When he came to take payment he outright pointed out that service charge wasn't included and would I like to pay one, I normally would although I prefer it when they just hand me the card machine and let me decide discreetly without feeling pressured into it. I didn't leave a tip/service charge as I didn't know if it would go directly to the staff who deserve it for having to work for this man. Quite honestly the only tip I'd like to give is to treat your staff better as it was honestly disgusting to witness.

Lovely food and friendly enough staff, but I struggle to commend the service - we had a long wait between our starter and main courses, and struggled to get our bill, which left us quite rushed and stressed. We arrived just before 5:30 and the starters came relatively quickly, but we didn't get our mains until more than an hour later and we watched other tables get their starters AND mains in that time. We ended up rushing our mains and asking to pay (we wanted to be at the theatre for 7:00). Although our table was cleared we didn't receive our bill - our waiter made no move to procure this and when asked he said it was "coming" but still didn't move to provide it. We watched others request and pay their bills in this time, and ended up going to the maître d's station and requesting it directly. This being said, if you have time, I can't recommend their food highly enough - we had to rush our mains, but I wish I didn't have to - mine tasted great (I had the caprese, and the steak with veggies - nobody has ever heard me rave as much about carrots before!). They also have a fantastic dessert case, and I would have loved to properly peruse the desserts if there had been time!

Great service and lovely food. We went with a group of friends pre-concert. Had choices off the set meal menu designed for fast service to avoid being late for the show. Quality of the food was excellent.

A fab find just around the corner from the Palace Theatre so perfect for a pre-show meal and drink. The waiter was very friendly and attentive, the little touch of filling our fizz glass as he walked past was appreciated. We both ate pizza - huge and very flavoursome! The toilets are downstairs and a little tired.

This afternoon I went to casa italia and I ordered two hot chocolate. I already know this place, and as soon as I entered no greeting, no one seat you in the table, all the tables are creammed each other and the lady seated us in a small table where I was tight with someone sitting behind me, but very close to me that I barely move. So I moved to another table myself. The hot chocolate came and it was good, but not too good as the Italian hot chocolate must to be tick and the hot chocolate I had was pale and milky, but the taste was good. The price for two hot chocolate was exaggerate 8 pounds. No customer service at all, no prices displayed in the items they sell and all the tables were dirty. It is a small place. It is not difficult clean 4 small tables and if you do this job, you must have a good customer service. I work in a restaurant and I know very well the job. This was my third time in domus italia and things hasn't change. I won't come back

Very poor experience in this pizza restaurant, after waiting 30 mins when it was very quiet, we assumed our food would be fresh and worth the wait, very disappointed when we brought it back to our hotel beside it, crispy potatoes were soggy and clumped together so some were still Ice cold, pizza base was thiner than a wrap not cut properly and all the toppings just slide off as it was so thin it was breaking. Chicken portion was 3 pieces and mozzarella sticks was small aswel, would not recommend anyone waste there money here as it was expensive, and by far the worst pizza I have ever had. Should of known by how quiet it was.
