The food is pricey but worth it. Really tasty and have never had a bad meal here. Staff are always so welcoming and go the extra mile. Well worth a visit!

Authentic tasting Italian food cooked to order in the kitchen. Disappointed by the waiter service which was slow, this a quiet Saturday afternoon. But that aside the food was great really enjoyed the seafood linguine.

Amazing restaurant, we have been there several time, our kids love to go there... family environment, very friendly and the service is amazing, all who works there are very good people. The New Year party was absolutely fun and perfect, we took our family from Panama and they enjoyed a lot, food, music, and people excellent.

Hired the place for a party.staff and organising was fabulous. Everyone knew their job and I didn't have to do a thing. Highly recommend .the food,bar staff,dj were excellent.

A really fantastic choice of restaurant. Really great venue - looks lovely, great atmosphere, staff were really friendly, service was superb and the food was fantastic. With the choice of Zizzi's, Prezzo and Pizza Express within a minutes walk, we made the best choice. Starters of sardines, calamari, the floatiest garlic bread and my choice of goats cheese was fantastic. Mains + such a wide choice - I'd never tried veal before and the veal escalope Saltimbocca was just so tasty. We were absolutely full up before we got to deserts, but still managed to fit in some lovely affigato and sorbets. Just lovely and will be going back again.

Fantastic service with fabulous food. I would highly recommend here. From 17 to 87 years, everyone had a wonderful meal. The prawn dish and skate wing were both exceptionally well cooked. Something for everyone.

We also had sea bream which was lovely. We had soups Chicken liver pate for starters. We liked everything we had deserts was nice cheese cake . Ice creams all tasty. It’s a very nice restaurant.

I ordered a Rigatoni Sicily pasta. The aubergine was not cooked properly. Bruschetta was served with hard tomatoes. It feels like amateurs cooking Italian food. Overpriced for the quality of food offered.

We cannot speak highly enough of this lovely family run restaurant. The people and service are first rate. The food is excellent and the ease with which they cater for allergies is second to none. Very impressive. We unequivocally recommend this restaurant and will be visiting again soon.

Good food and great service. There is seating inside and also outside in an area with a canopy. I had the fish of the day for my main course, which was beautifully cooked, textured and seasoned. Very good Italian food and worth a visit.

Went here earlier today, table seemed a little cluttered at first but eventually evened out. Service was amazing and food was bought out fairly quickly even thought it was fairly busy. Would definitely go again

This is my favourite restaurant in Banstead . Friendly,welcoming ,great atmosphere, lovely fresh food ,attentive service from Lucia . Will be returning soon .

Had another great meal at the ciao Italia and the service from Lucia was exceptional. I can’t recommend this restaurant enough.

Hadn’t been for 9 months since moving house. Drove 16 miles to go there for 50th Wedding and it was as good as ever. Great staff, great food and great service.

The food is excellent, and the service is exquisite. They are friendly, polite, and cater to your needs in a loving way. We have been there several times, and service hasn't changed. We will definitely go there again.

Lovely food, quite expensive but worth it. The scallops for starters were absolutely perfectly cooked! Service was amazing, quick, friendly and attentive. It was quite loud inside with other tables loud conversations but maybe I'm just sensitive to sounds lol. Would definitely come back!

We went for our Xmas dinner from work, the service and food were excellent and all the staff wore a smile and were very attentive.

Too crammed in with people. We had to wait 40 mins although we booked

I was very disappointed, myself and my wife wanted a quiet meal, unfortunately there was a table of 6 to 8 women who were very loud and the language used was disgusting, in addition to this two of the women were vaping and the smell of the contents could be smelt throughout the restaurant. At no time were they asked to respect other users and it will be a long time before we use the restaurant again. The meal was not great and my wife's food was warm at best, considering we spent £140 this was not good value for the money. Even the waiter said he was surprised we stayed as long as we did when I was paying the bill.

I held a dinner for 46 people at Ciao Italia at the weekend, and it went superbly well, from start (meaning the planning) to the finish. The service was attentive without being intrusive, the food was delicious and the atmosphere almost perfect. "Almost", because if we do it again, we will give more thought to the acoustics and table layout, as the ambient noise level meant that, as one of our guests put it, Brian Blessed in full flow would have struggled to make himself heard.

Booked for 7.30 waited 10mins to be seated, noisy roudey atmosphere, service was poor had to wave at servers to get attention.food was average. Just an expensive version of Zizi’s won’t be going again.

One cannot visit an Italian restaurant without trying pizza, and Ciao Italia certainly knows how to make a stellar one. I ordered the Margherita pizza, and it was a masterpiece. The crust was thin and crispy, the tomato sauce was vibrant and tangy, and the melted mozzarella cheese was simply divine. It was a true taste of Italy in every bite.

Very expensive but nice. Could it be over priced.

A good Italian restaurant with good Italian food, the only downfall of the surf and turf lobster was spoon size not value for money.

Wake Manager of Ciao Italia took 2 weeks to get back to me when I requested a quote. Had to chase. Manager then sent me an exorbitant quote from a ‘cafe’ email for afternoon tea. I replied requesting to reduce the quantity and the alcohol. I didn’t receive a reply. Manager went on holiday. The food was clearly from an outside caterer. Far too much food, endless jugs of alcohol, glass cups with hot water with tea bags next to them for cups of tea. Forced to pay huge bill by staff at end of the wake for my mother. Staff claimed they had not received my email requesting less. Afterwards eventually manager admitted that she had sent the quote from the wrong email and had never received my request to reduce the order. Took over a month to give me a very limited refund. Apparently this restaurant do lots of wakes. I feel totally taken advantage off and ripped off. Made a stressful and upsetting day even worse.

I went there today for the first time with a friend. Great food, all very fresh and very good. We had the set menu which was great value. The waiters were efficient and friendly. I would definitely return - and recommend this restaurant.

We visited the 'Ciao Italia' restuarant recently for the first time with friends and have to say what an amazing experience it was. The interior is very large and well designed and makes visiting a pleasant experience. The staff on hand can't do enough for you and raise the bar of customer service to a new level. We had the prawn cocktails for starters which were declicious and to follow 2, Pollo Crema Funghi, a dover sole and a sirloin steak which were all extremely tasty. This was washed down with an excellent bottle of Malbec Nieto Senetin which was glorious. To follow had the icecreams, cheese cake and Tiramasu which all very enjoyable and complemented by Liquer coffees. It was a wonderful experience and can't wait to come back!.

Average food. All our meals looked a little bland and our chicken was over cooked. I can honestly say the profiteroles were the smallest I have ever seen in my life!

Planned my parents wedding anniversary here with the amazing help of Ilia. He was so accommodating from the very first day we met with him to discuss the plan and gave us ideas we didn't even think of. On the day, everything was so organised and perfect, from the food, the service and the overall atmosphere of the event. Cannot thank Ilia and the team enough for their great service, food and hospitality. No request was too much. I would plan another occasion here in a heartbeat. Thanks again Ciao Italia!

Service good, friendly staff, nice decor, well thought out layout of restaurant all on one level with disabilities access and facilities. Food excellent. Took a little while to arrive, but that's because it is all cooked fresh. The complimentary bread basket is welcome whilst you wait. Would recommend and will definitely return.

An enjoyable evening with tasty food and for me, the perfect portion size. So often restaurants give too much. I had the pollo caricature and the cheesecake from the set menu. Service good, friendly and unobtrusive allowing us to chat undisturbed

The place seemed nice enough, a little dated perhaps. Food needed to be seasoned better, and it looks like the menu hasn't changed since the 80s. Service was ok, but hat to wait quite a while between courses.

Very bad service.Waited 35 mins for drinks .After we asked for it was served .Then we waited another 1 hr for food .There are no waitress,only one for the whole restaurant.We spoke to the manager and he made us feel is our fault.He was so rude.The food is bad .Very disappointing.Don’t go there if you don’t want to be treated bad !My family will not come back to this PLACE never again !!!

Shocking experience!!! Bland food, waited over an hour, and encountered an incredibly rude and smug manager who refused to acknowledge the huge wait and poor standard of food. Not good enough for the sky high prices

Family restaurant run very well

Went there for a family Sunday lunch for 9 people.Very enjoyable.

The food is mediocre and somewhat poorly prepared, tomatoes on the bruschetta were quite large and under seasoned, the food was enjoyable enough but quite disappointed as the price point is so high. What was worse was service was extremely slow and neglectful while they were well staffed and were not at full capacity. Wouldn’t come back unfortunately.

Beautifully presented and deliciously cooked food and a very strong menu on fish. I don't know of anywhere else locally that serves Dover sole, and this was a real treat. Service and attention from staff was impeccable. I would highly recommend the mixed grilled fish and one of my guests had the sardines which looked absolutely divine. Considering I live 112 miles away I would more than happy come here again.

Had a night out at Ciao on Saturday evening.Got a great table outside with comfy seats ,heater ,nice music going on was really nice .Service was on point not rushed but not slow.Quality food & drink will be heading back very soon.Highly recommend.

The restaurant is beautiful and laid out very nicely with outside dining that’s not roadside. The surf and turf was also very tasty. The let downs are for a £35 surf and turf I anticipated much more in terms of quantity. The service was also, dare I say it, rude. Perhaps it’s because we’re not regulars… should this make a difference? We didn’t order desert. We paid our forced 10% service charge begrudgingly and made for Tesco to pick up an ice cream! Such a shame.

Very friendly service, great food with a good quality wine list to complement it. Popular destination on a Saturday night, and restaurant has pleasing decor which is likely to be admired by your friends. There is a public car park behind the shops on the other side of the road, so parking isn't an issue. Definitely worth a visit if you haven't sampled this family run restaurant yet!

This was our first time at Ciao Italia and it was worth the journey. The mackerel starter from the specials board was the stand out dish. We had a lovely bottle of wine and the staff were warm and attentive. Great meal.

Excellent service.. the waiter made us laugh... and i found any other staff member i crossed paths with to be friendly. The food was generous and yummy... mates had pizzas, I had a pasta dish and it was very much enjoyed by all.

The food and the experience were excellent, and they knew how to compliment the main meal with a right wine, and the starters was just right. Only one negative was the dessert as I wasn't too impressed about that, part from the desert I could fault anything

The food was tasty but unfortunately for us the experience was ruined a little bit by the fact it took us nearly an hour and a half just to get our starters. Overall we had 2 courses and 1 drink each and it cost us £86 - so a little overpriced for what we got. The waiters were friendly but they were clearly understaffed for the amount of customers there! Not sure I would go back due to the disappointing experience.

Whilst I could not fault the service, regrettably the food did not live up to expectation, and over priced.
