Zizzi - Banstead in Reigate and Banstead

Had a great experience with Marta looking after us! Lovely food& a nice time :))

Had a midweek meal, I was served by the lovely Marta who was friendly and knowledgeable.

Disappointing experience at Zizzi Banstead. I’m not usually one to complain about small mistakes or waiting times, but this visit left me really disappointed. I ordered the chicken skewers from the starter menu with a side of sweet potato fries. The chicken mistakenly arrived early as a starter - an easy error, and our waiter was happy to take it back. However, 30 minutes later, when our mains arrived, the chicken skewers were brought back - the exact same plate that had been served earlier. I know this because the waiter confirmed it. By then, the chicken was cold, dry, and completely flavourless. It tasted watery, like cheap pre-cooked supermarket chicken that had just been flashed under a grill. I sent it back and asked for a freshly prepared dish. Unfortunately, by this point, all the other food had been served, including my sweet potato fries, which were now getting cold. When the new chicken skewers eventually arrived, they were just as bad - barely warm, dry, and again completely flavourless. One piece even looked like it had already been torn, making me wonder if it was the same portion I’d previously sent back. I left the food untouched, including the now-cold fries. What’s worse, no one offered to take the dish off the bill or apologise properly. I paid and left - never to return again.

We had a lovely meal, Marta our waitress was very attentive even though it was so busy nothing was to much trouble . Can definitely recommend .

I attended Zizzi as a party of 12 for mother's day. My order was to contain no cheese, allergy explained to the waitress. My order came with cheese in it so I asked if it could be changed. The manager came and argued with me about it saying it was my fault! The confusion was because I said to the waitress that if cheese is prepared in the kitchen I will be fine, just not in my food. The waitress was lovely by the way and I feel there was no blame on her part, even without allergy protocol, common sense would say still don't put cheese in the order that says no cheese. My food came the next time and it was still wrong, another ingredient I asked to be removed was in there. It was changed and my correct order came, third time lucky! My mother in law ordered ice cream and ended up finding an inch long smashed shard of plastic in her mouth. We were discounted 25%. The food in the end was nice but the manager does not deal with matters very well. To argue with a customer and tell me it's my fault is very unprofessional. The table next to me approached me to tell me that they had issues with the manager and they were also very unhappy! The rest of the staff were very nice and we had no problem with their service.

Nothing we ordered was available, even stuff on the specials board, the excuse was that, it was mother's day yesterday, so they had run out. I did have the Aubergine meatballs, what a disapointment they turned out to be. It wasn't communicated that they closed at 10pm, so we missed out on a coffee, had we known, we could have ordered earlier, service wasn't great, I will not be visiting a Zizzi again

The staff was very friendly, the service was very efficient, and the service was very fast, the food was very delicious, we celebrated the wedding of some friends and the service was too good, 100% recommended.

We had an excellent meal here for Mother’s Day. The set menu was delicious and our kids loved the kids menus too. All of the staff were great…friendly and welcoming to us. It was really busy but the service was spot on. The restaurant is bright with a good atmosphere. Thanks for a great afternoon.

Don't waste your time or money! Staff are useless, the pizza was so uncooked it was pure dough, either their ovens are broken or the chefs need firing

We love Zizzi Banstead and are regulars there. The food was superb as usual, thank you chef's and we were served by Maddie tonight who was absolutely lovely and charming. Fantastic job Maddie. Carbonara was special! It was fairly quiet so not buzzing so only a 4 for atmosphere im afraid.

Always enjoy a visit to ZiZi in Banstead. The food is good and the staff very welcoming, especially Marta who is very friendly and professional and always gies the extra mile when serving us.

Always excellent service and food

Tasteless and small portions. First of all given two starters of garlic sticks and chips. No plates provided . Garlic sticks were anything but and didn’t have any garlic on whatsoever. Main meal of creamy pasta was basically cream with black pepper and lacked taste. Could have made it better myself at home. All in all a very disappointing experience and will not return!

Food was great but pizza dough was not the same quality as it used to be. Could be better if it was shaped and stretched by hand. Also it was quite pale so I guess it needed some more time in the oven. Perfect otherwise and still enjoyable.

Zizzis Banstead has a nice atmosphere, the food is consistent and the service is great. I happened to be served by Gabi twice recently. She is very friendly and always goes above and beyond to ensure we have a great visit.

I LOVE Zizzi, as a company, I have visited many branches and would would rate them from good to excellent. That's why I was surprised to find that a bad branch exists in Banstead. The sole reason for my bad experiences rests firmly on the shoulders of the 'supervisor' who was visibly rushed off her feet. Upon arrival, we joined the queue and noticed her rudely dismiss a family that had not pre-booked, not even suggesting a time where they might have a table free for them. They stood around for a while waiting for her to suggest a time to return but as she ignored them, they left. My family and I found our friend who was already seated at the table and unfortunately the supervisor was our server. She tutted, huffed and rolled her eyes anytime one of us asked a question or changed our minds when ordering. I tried to order a cocktail and she said 'nothing with rum, we're out of rum'. 3 out of the 4 cocktails available had rum in it which left me with vodka which I don't drink. I asked to swap the alcohol for anything else and she said 'that's not allowed'. I cancelled dessert and a hot drink based on her poor attitude and tableside manner. She was even more bothered by my NHS discount and removed the free children's meals and cocktail that I was entitled to on my zillionare rewards. She stated it had to be one or the other otherwise it would be 'too much discount.' I have always been allowed by the managers of Zizzi to use rewards and discounts on the same order but I did not argue as to not spoil the meal any further. Halfway through our meal we noticed that the restaurant was not even half full, so we could not understand why she appeared so flustered and stressed, turning customers away. The rest of the waiting staff were absolutely fantastic, friendly and warm. The supervisor was blaming a lot of the inflexibility on the chefs however they seemed happy in their work and produced good food (though not the best). It is a shame the supervisor spoils the whole atmosphere when she has a great team behind her. At the end of the meal we mentioned the supervisor's demeanor made us feel like we were bothering her and all we got was a 'thank you for letting us know that.' Overall this worst the worst experience I've had in Zizzi, table arrangements were bad, we had to keep shuffling our chairs in for people to get to the toilet. I won't ever visit the Banstead branch again nor would I recommend it.

We came in midday Saturday with two small children, under 3. The staff were very helpful and welcoming, particularly a lady called Marta- they all could not be more friendly and are a credit to your business. Our food was excellent and served quickly, so the children were not left waiting- we will definitely be back soon!

Becoming a bit of a regular here, food and service is always so nice, very friendly staff, especially Marta. They were quite busy tonight but we didn’t find ourselves waiting too long for anything, will be back again.

Excellent experience at Zizzi’s in Banstead. The food was amazing and Marta was super friendly and very personable. It’s our favourite Zizzi’s for these 2 reasons. The team there are always welcoming, very attentive and very much add to the whole dining experience. We’d highly recommend the restaurant to everyone!

Excellent meal, the first time I'd been to a Zizzi for many years at Christmas for our work Christmas meal. It was so good, I decided to go again with family, I'm not a big fan of pasta or pizza, but there is one dish that's excellent, the Chicken Milanese, which is a perfect alternative. very tasty and the potato side, too. All our meals were very tasty, resonably priced and the staff were all very friendly, the restaurant, although very busy, had a nice atmosphere as well Definitely will visit again soon.

Last night we visited our favourite zizzi’s in Banstead, haven’t been there since before Christmas so was lovely walking in an seeing familiar faces and getting a lovely warm welcome from Marta, I always know we will be well taken care of when she’s there, if only every restaurant had a Marta :) the meal was delicious and the king prawn spedini was cooked to perfection, no wonder we keep returning

We had a pleasant experience at Zizzi today. The food was good, and the staff were helpful and attentive. Kieran and Marta were nice and friendly. We had pizza, followed by a cheesecake and a sundae for dessert, which we enjoyed. We will definitely be coming back soon.
