Zizzi - Banstead in Reigate and Banstead

Food is bland, not even hot. One of the waitresses that has worked there a long time is lovely, however today the service was bad, pretty much ignored the whole time, when it came to paying the bill the waitress asked if we wanted to add service charge to which we said no (we didn’t think the service that we received was worth a tip nor the food) to which the waitress said what not even 10%?! Which annoyed us even more! We will not return.

Our server, Laura, was fantastic. The food was very quick and tasted extremely nice. Thank you so much :)

Wasn’t previously advised that they had gone cashless. Small sign at the top of the entrance. Sorry to say that this will kill your business. Food was adequate but the Service was awful. Staff had no idea how to serve and kept pushing between diners mid conversation. We were a party of 9. One member of staff pullled a face when asked about dessert. They were also extremely abrupt. Dined there for years but sadly won’t be returning. I would not recommend this place.

Whilst the food was probably about average, the staff were fantastic which created a great atmosphere. Every staff member we came into contact with was friendly, smiley and helpful. Even staff who we did not have direct contact with said goodbye as we left. The food itself was what you would expect for a mid priced restaurant. a good amount of choice, reasonably well cooked, but the staff would definitely encourage me to return as they created a great evening.

Had such a nice lunch here. Great service and they even gave us free garlic bread and pasta crisps to start. The food was great! Definitely going back!!

My family and I are regulars at Zizzis as it has a very lively atmosphere. Always friendly staff ready to help. Service is always excellent and food consistently good. Perfect for families of all ages. My granddaughter has multiple food allergies, but she is always catered for, and we know that we can rely on staff to make sure of food content, or a dish can be altered to suit.

Went there for a Birthday treat and a very pleasant atmosphere, quick service, and tasty meals. The starters were superb and the main meal was well portioned and very good quality. Made a well-appreciated birthday meal.

We had a lovely lunch at Zizzi Banstead. It has recently been refurbished and looks great with a lovely inviting atmosphere. The food was really good and the staff were welcoming, helpful and very efficient.

I visited this restaurant last night. All, fiofvand servicecwas excellent. I love your prawn spidini and sticky toffee pudding.

We came there on Friday evening on a work night out Was welcomed by a lady called Marta she was very friendly and Professional , and provided us with excellent , service and the food was lovely She is a real credit Zizzi restaurant

Really impressed from my last visit at Zizzi Banstead. We were served by an Irish waiter who was fabulous and made us feel very welcome including our children. The food was very nicely served and tasted excellent.

A nice clean restaurant with a friendly atmosphere and attentive staff. Parking (paid) via a public carpark just a very short walk of about 1 minute away. Food, I can only mark on what I ate, which was calamari and then carbonara, which were both OK, not great but not bad either. I did order a dessert - tiramisu - which I had thought would be fresh but was still partly frozen. The staff apologised, and after 10 minutes or so brought me another - that was still frozen too so that part was disappointing. All in all, I'd return another time, but I'd personally choose something different from the menu - what I chose wasn't bad, it was OK - and forgo dessert.

Really enjoy the food and the atmosphere in ZIZI. Just find it a little disappointing that special vouchers offer or blue light cards never cover Saturdays. Not everyone is able to dine out during the weekday.

Food was delicious and speedy. Just felt the service we received was a bit slow, but the staff were friendly and happy to help!

We had a delicious meal at Zizzi's in Banstead tonight. First time at a Zizzi's but it definitely won't be our last. The food was amazing and the customer service was excellent. Our waitress, Rosa was so happy, friendly and helpful. She even helped me decide which dessert to go for as I couldn't choose! She was very attentive but without being overly so. A really lovely evening and would highly recommend!

My favourite relaxed Banstead restaurant. Friendly team and quick service. Tasty food and good to see the menu change with the seasons. The winter superfood salad is delicious.

I went to Zizzi’s last night with my friend, we have been many times over the years. As usual, the food was delicious- we both had the calamari to start and carbonara for mains. Everything was presented well. Big thank you to our waiter Ryan who was so friendly and polite throughout the evening. We will definitely continue coming here!

I’ve been going to this restaurant location since I was a child and I must say I have noticed that it has started to go downhill a little in recent years. Although they have redone the inside, making it much more inviting and atmospheric, and the food is still of a nice standard, although lacking some authenticity here and there, the service is very on and off. The previous time we went we were stuck in the restaurant for hours due to the incredibly slow service in a half empty restaurant, however when I went back yesterday for a family meal, we found quite the opposite — we were rushed out of the restaurant within the space of an hour (despite having a three course meal) by what I assume to be the manager, who was frequently shouting at staff right next to our table and seemed to be bored taking our order as opposed to amiable and welcoming. We barely had any time to catch up with each other and enjoy our meal at the table as our food was getting thrown at us so quickly. I think they need to find a happy medium between rushed and slow service to make this a more pleasant experience.

The staff were friendly and attentive, and service was a good speed. Everyone loved their choices of meal and we came away feeling nicely full!

A busy restaurant and there were alot of Christmas parties at the time of my visit so probably a little unfair to fully judge. However our order was messed up with the wrong dish which wasn't that great. All felt a bit rushed. Overall I've had better Zizzi experiences

First visit to Zizzi since it's been worked on, found the service and food very good and would be happy to use again.

We had lovely Sunday dinner .Food, atmosphere and fantastic service delivered by Marta made us only want to come back again, again and again.

Upon entering the building, we were not greeted despite there being a few people in the bar area. We had a young child with us and instead of her being disruptive in the entrance area. We sat quietly at a table in the entrance. I observed 2 members of staff walk round to see us sitting waiting. One simply frowned and walked away. My husband had to go and ask if we were okay at the table we had sat at, or if we needed to be seated somewhere else. We were seated somewhere else. We had just finished getting settled when a waiter come over asking if we were ready to order. Luckily for his time, we had looked at the menu online and decided what we wanted beforehand. We ordered our food. The waiter then brought over some complimentary pasta crisps. Noting that we had ordered all VEGAN food, he casually added 'These are dairy free, but the are cooked in the same fryers as meat products'. It took myself and my husband a minute to realise what he had just said. We then went and checked if the chips we had ordered were also cooked in the same fryer as the MEAT products. He confirmed they were. We were extremely disappointed. Zizzi advertised these on their menu as being suitable for VEGANS (VE). If the waiter that served us had't told us this information then we would have eaten our meal and not realised. I am not sure how they are getting away with advertising dishes/sides as suitable for VEGANS and then cooking the vegan products in MEAT 'contaminated' oil. I am absolutely flabbergasted! If you are VEGAN then Zizz's isn't the place for you. Zizzi's sort it out !!!

Disappointing visit. Dirty table, no cream for the Christmas cocktail, no detach decaf coffee. Food was ok, nothing special.

Food is delicious and price is ok. I usually come for a treat lunch after a long night and morning shift and there's always that bigger lady that is hurry. She wants the order and dessert order and everything to quickly. Im not old , but I can see lots of old ladies enjoying themselves and she's always pressing for the order . Come down lady. You are always empty during lunch time . Let people enjoy themselves

Bit chilly. Food and service very good

Waited over an hour for food, although the restaurant was empty, a constant stream of delivery drivers getting thier orders very quickly, was told they have been told to give priority to deliveries. If they lose the customer base at the restaurant they will have no where to do deliveries from!!!

Nice food, though a little more expensive than expected, and service was very slow (staff rushing around, so probably under staffed for a Sunday lunch time).

The service was good as was the food but found the premises to noisy for me and my wife.

Worst pizza ever, vegetable pizza had two mushrooms thinly sliced, two plum tomatoes thinly sliced , quarter red pepper, no onion which I asked for but loads of black olives which I didn’t want,

Had a wonderful evening out here with friends. Good menu choice and have gluten free food too. Only negative is poor lightning in one part of restaurant - need torch to read menu.

Delicious and a pretty speedy service

We visited Zizzi in Banstead for lunch and had a wonderful time with a delicious meal, great service in a lovely restaurant. The atmosphere, food and service from the team was on point and made our experience great. Our waiter was Zack who’s served us on a few visits now and he’s brilliantly attentive and nothing is too much trouble, a real example of what great service should look like. We went there for my daughter’s birthday. Marta and Marek were very attentive and made sure we had a great and memorable night. The pizzas are unique in size and taste. Zizzi is always busy with the locals.

We’ve been going to Zizzi for years and they’ve always delivered in terms of food, atmosphere and friendly service. This visit was exceptional, considering they were busy and although we hadn’t booked we were greeted by Marta and asked to sit in the bar area while they tried to get the table ready. We could see how busy they were and felt guilty for not booking in advance, regardless Marek the manager caught our eye and made a point of coming over to greet us and as apologetic, heaven knows why because we were the guilty party and it certainly wasn’t any fault of Zizzi’s but that shows how well trained they all are. Within 15 minutes we were taken to our table. For starters we had the King Prawn Spiedini and the Calamari while our friends ordered Chicken Spiedini and Caprese salad. Our mains were Hit-Smoked Salmon & Pesto Risotto, King Prawn Linguine, Signature Beef & Chianti Ragu and Casareccia Pollo Piccante. If you haven’t tried any of these dishes, I recommend you give it a try. I always like a bit if kick in my food and this was taken care of with their chilli oil which they bring to the table. Sadly we were all too full to try any of the desserts but the cappuccino’s were a real treat. Our friends who had never been there, couldn’t stop raving about the food and service, they both made a point and asked Marta who served us to get the manager over so they could pay him their compliment. On the way home they couldn’t stop talking about the food, comparing it to their local Italian and saying Zizzi was infinitely better and less expensive too. 😆 Yes it did bring a smile to my face. Thanks again Marta and Marek for yet another winning visit.

We had another great meal at Zizzi Banstead. Marek and his team always go over and above. My children are fussy eaters and they are always really patient. Great food and always a lovely atmosphere. Staff are attentive and food is always hot and plentiful, staff are always polite and friendly and it's so nice to see the same faces. Looking forward to our next visit already.

We visited for my daughters birthday as the food is consistently good . We received a warm welcome from Marek( as always ) and excellent service from Marta . All the staff are great and it shows in the atmosphere of the restaurant. We sometimes visit other zizzis but the 1 in Banstead is definitely our favourite

I have been a regular at zizzi Banstead for many years. The service was amazing always helpful and attentive. However the garlic bread was as thin as a crisp, very disappointing. Cut backs from head office apparantly. Shame….

Disappointed, Zizzi seems to have gone downhill. Somewhat chaotic service, 2 guests had spaghetti bolognese which was woefully missing the beef, it was just a watery tomato flavoured sauce (did they run out of mince?), there was simply no substance to it, the dessert was overlooked and we have to remind them 3 times. We will be giving them a miss for a while as they seem to be totally unorganised and either understaffed or employ too many inexperienced staff members. The young waitress was doing her best but was overwhelmed.

Lack of communication, after 20 mins looking at the menu then finally a waitress attended us, then to be told that half of the menu was unavailable. Then wrong drinks order, wrong starters & finally to wait 40 minute wait for a pasta dish. Never again

Very disappointing experience last night. The food was wrong, delayed. Drinks arrived a long time after the food, even when ordered before. Not that tasty as before. We will kot be going back!

I have been to Zizzi many times and is one of my favourite restaurants but this time it was special as I went with my 6 month’s old son. I can’t stop praising how good the staff was with us, service was great, food as always but 200 points on making us feel welcomed with our little one. A big thanks to all the staff for making him smile.

I have been going to zizzi for many years as a coeliac, and always had good food. However recently, and today specifically, the gluten free options were poor. We were first informed that they had changed the way they fried some dishes, so these were not actually gluten free, despite saying so on the menu. The online menu for choosing gluten free was also terrible, hard to use and was mostly incorrect with the information on it. We ordered gluten free pizzas, however their new bases were rubbery, with the crust has hard as wood. This is a shame as zizzi used to have really great pizzas, but now it’s on par with a frozen pizza from Tesco. On a positive note, the waiting staff were excellent and very helpful. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere too.

We all had a lovely meal a friendly service and not rushed we went early a few people eating but got busy later. Would suggest book a table to avoid disappointment

Nice place / atmosphere. Good attentive service - would have left a tip but wasn't offered the option! Something missing from the food - more garrlic and basil perhaps - more meat would be good too.

Bad service as well we had to wait 1 hour for our food and when it arrived 3 out of the 5 meals were not edible.

Warmly greeted and seated. Unfortunately the chairs at our table were full of crumbs and I had a hair on mine. Had to wipe down before sitting. Food was delicious, pizza and pasta dishes were cooked well. Desserts and coffee was nice too. Our waitress was ok. Toilets were clean. Prices have risen a few pounds since my previous visit but that is to be expected I suppose.

Very good evening the food was very good witch is in my experience not always the case with chains not cheap but not overly expensive the wine we had was very good and only £20 it's very children friendly so a good place to go

You do your best to appear as an italian restaurant, so here is a constructive feedback: 1. In Italy, every restaurant offers a basket of bread as soon as you sit down at the table, even better with a pot of olive oil to dip in. 2. The place is too noisy. You need to scream to speak with people at the same table. 3. 45min wait for a pizza a bit too much. Appreciate 7pm Tue is a busy time, but what's about give a free small pot of olives / focaccia as a gesture of goodwill for the waiting time? 4. Pizzaexpress at the front offers pizza for 7.99 vs 11.99 for a plain margerita. 5. Thanks for the free jug of water, but shape and material of the jug remind me of a toilet brush holder. There are better glass alternatives available. 6. Tissues are made by recycled paper, which is good, but they are too rough and not pleasant to use. 7. If customers spend 100 on a dinner, offer a small shot of Limoncello to top it off

Tonight was my sons 9th birthday dinner. 4 of us only at 6pm. We had truly awful awful service from Synam (who later disclosed that she was a manager). Overcooked, over fried and clearly once frozen food, which we didn’t eat and sent back. A fudge cake desert which had been microwaved until completely dehydrated the cake was falling apart. 20 min wait for starters. 30 min wait for mains after the starters had been cleared. Mains arrived one by one over a period of 10 mins. A total of 1hr 50min with a 6yr old and 9yr old. Not one mention of a happy birthday though I added this to my booking request. Synam apparently thought all this was ok, and ‘they were doing their best’, and that I should understand it takes many people to run a restaurant, and that this ‘was not a big deal’. Yes she really said that to us. Apparently I was also shouting at her, which my kids nor my wife nor anyone else around us noticed. Synam, we will never come back which is disappointing as we have been to Zizzi Banstead many times and had a great time every time. I will be writing to Zizzi HQ.

The children's cucumber and carrot sticks looked like they'd been sitting out for days. We didn't get a replacement, so i'm assuming that they had no fresh food available. Orders were wrong and no apology from staff. We won't be hurrying back!

Menu wasn't for me in terms of pizzas I tend to like, but service was good and my daughter enjoyed herself. Place seemed clean and in a nice building at the end of the high street. Various parking options nearby.

Very friendly greeting on arrival. Polite and courteous waiting staff. Drinks arrived quickly as did the main course. Desserts and coffee followed. I had Chicken Calabrese and my wife had Sea Bass, both dishes well cooked and tasty. A very pleasant dining experience from this restaurant.

I’ve been to other zizzi locations regularly, but this was the only one that provided a mediocre experience. Disappointing.

Our waitress went home after taking our order so after a 45 mins wait someone realised our food had been sat on the side waiting and gave it to us stone cold, we sent the cold pizza back and a few mins later was told it was being remade, 5 mins after that someone else tells us they’ve ran out of goats cheese now so I need to order something else, therefore waiting another ten minutes for them to make that. No discount was offered for the mess up, no gesture of good will free drink or anything like that. Certainly won’t go back again it was just a shambles.

I came this evening with two friends and we had a lovely evening. The food was lovely, the service was great. I had garlic bread with balsamic cheese, which was lovely. Then i had the pasta truffles carbonara which was very tasty. Our waiter was a young mixed race guy who was very attentive, patient and customer focused. He was so nice we tipped him well! Sadly towards the end of the night there was a terrible smell of sewage, and the toilets whilst they looked clean according to my friend, the smell wafting into the restaurant was awful. We left soon afterwards. Please sort this out as it was awful.

We came in for the first time today, and what a pleasant experience. The food was tasty, full of flavour, and nicely presented. However, our waitress, Katie, was the star of the show. She made us feel welcome & made the experience special with her kind and chatty personality. Thank you, Katie!

Food arrived within 15 minutes and tasted absolutely wonderful! Great restaurant! Recommended.

Brilliant - even on a very busy Mother's day, the service and food were excellent.

Visited on a Friday night, was very busy and quite noisy. Obviously a popular place. I imagine in the weekday the atmosphere is a bit calmer. Gluten-free pizzas and pastas are available. And gluten-free chocolate brownie cake, which was tasty. I marked down one star as it was so busy and loud on a Friday night would advise avoiding this night unless that is an atmosphere you prefer. There was a wait for the service. But this did not affect us this time as we went to catch up with friends.

Went with my other half this evening and dinner was lovely! Jaiden served us and was an absolute delight. Thank you.

Very lovely and spacious Italian restaurant, location is perfect on high street. Staff friendly and efficient! The food was delicious and variety on kids menu is excellent. The size of the Rustic pizza is generous. For dessert we tried the caramlaized banana waffle with icecream and that was on pointe! Will be a regular there.

Food was ok but overpriced for what you get. Service was absolutely awful. Starter was reasonably quick. Main course took ages. Drinks took so long to arrive we had to go and ask for them twice. Dessert was wrong with 1 out of 4 missing. Apparently they forgot to order it.Bill was wrong. We were overcharged for Drinks we hadn't had and charged for garlic bread twice. Doubt we will be returning unless something changes quickly.

Lovely meal. Lovely staff. Considerate to my husbands need; plenty of room for his sticks. Staff quick to clean floor and tables. Cannot fault. Especially for a Saturday evening thanks so much 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Went to dinner there last night for my Grandsons birthday. Lovely meal, (thank you chefs), lovely atmosphere and fabulous waiter. Relaxed evening had by all.

Waited 1hr 15mins for our meal. It was busy but understaffed. Cold in their too. Items off of Menu. Wrong drink served but they did take off of bill. Not impressed with service.

Would of said 5 star however they have stopped the ability to order black olives on pizza on both uber eats and deliveroo.

This is a lovely Italian restaurant it is immaculately clean the servers are friendly and informed the toilets are well appointed and clean the food was exceptional and at a very reasonable price there is a car park opposite which is, traffic permitting 30 seconds to 1 minute walk away, I will definitely be going there again and anyone that is travelling to the area I would highly recommend try it.
