A good standard Indian restaurant

Always hear good reviews about this restaurant so we looked it up for my daughter’s birthday meal. We saw on the website there was a live female singer who we thought we would enjoy so booked. Arrived for 8.30pm to an incredibly crowded restaurant, the table wasn’t ready, which is fine, we were asked to wait in the bar area. This is tiny and was equally as packed, couldn’t move. Shown to our table and drinks order taken. From this moment on, the service was so slow. It took forever to get two cokes and a bottle of water. We ordered our food and it took about 45 mins for starters to arrive and a good hour after that for the main courses. The food was mediocre. Portions however were very generous. The live singer was not who was advertised on the website. Some man who sang about 75% in tune and the rest was like a bad karaoke. As soon as they came to clear the plates we asked for the bill. We just wanted to get out. The music is so loud, you can’t have a conversation. And to top it off they conveniently added 12.5% service charge, which we just paid as we wanted to get out of there.

Big birthday, big curry. Pre-ordered a takeaway for 18 and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful. Fantastic food and every taste catered for.

I visited with my sisters - it is always a pleasure to go to The Spaghetti Tree. The food was absolutely exceptional - I had the salmon with zucchini as a side. The salmon was perfectly cooked and the sauce delicious. An excellent range of cocktails too. My sisters had the pizza and a pasta dish - again these went down a treat. The waitress was extremely personable and attentive. We will definitely be back and could not recommend the restaurant highly enough!

A party of 25 of us came her to celebrate a birthday, we had to pay a deposit when booking which we thought would be taken off our bill, we paid £280 upfront for 28 people, but 3 were unable to attend due to illness but we could not let this restaurant know in time as they require 24 hours notice, This requirement is not at all clear on the booking form on the website, this only becomes apparent when looking into their terms and conditions, as others have stated in these reviews. Due to the size of our party we negotiated a reduction in the service charge down to 10% which was agreed, but when we got the final bill, they had turned off the lights, possibly on purpose, when we studied the bill they had actually written 10% on the bottom of the bill, BUT TOOK 12.5% service charge, so we were conned out of 2.5% more, having already spent a considerable amount of money on the evening. Drinks are extremely overpriced we had 14 pints of lager which came to £101 50p + 12.5% = £114.19p, 7 Pina Coladas £91.00 + 12.5% = £102 37 we also had other drinks with similar sums of money, not only content with this they also took £50. 00 from our deposit , so all in all a very expensive evening, this a complete rip off We have sent a letter to the management regarding the error on the bill, with a copy but have not yet received any communication We would therefore advise people to check what they are paying for.

This is a great Italian restaurant with friendly staff and delicious, well cooked food, beautifully served…..great eye appeal. All my friends had exceptionally good meals and said what great value for money the meals were. We are a group who regularly try different restaurants each month. I can’t wait to return here. Thank you.

I only live round the corner and have popped in there 2 or 3 times and I must say It’s one of the nicest Indians around. Always happy to see you and aim to please Great food and reasonably priced. A nice addition to Walton.

the staff are amazing and the food was excellent found the cocktails very expensive ! the entertainment was good but not our style of music but it was a hen night in so fair enough but we did leave earlier because it turned into a mini night club but overall a lovely night out x

Great ambition that's lost its way on food quality. Right quality ingredients badly put together. Weak tomatoes - great buffalo mozzarella. Way way way too much garlic in everything - killed the crab. Tiramisu an epic fail. Need to get back to basics. Staff excellent and fun

I was recommended The Spaghetti Tree by a friend and it was our first time of trying it. I asked the waitress to recommend a main course and so I tried that which was chicken in a cream sauce with mushroom and chorizo and sauté potatoes it was really lovely. My husband had the fillet of salmon in a cream and dill sauce with potatoes. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Cheesecake was delicious and pizza nutella was amazing. Definitely will go back again.

Great food, service and ambiance in the restaurant

Have been here several times. The food is always great . Staff are excellent and accommodating . The music entertainment is an added bonus. Great atmosphere . Good food, good wine, good music to either listen to or dance to. Always a brilliant night out.

Good service and nice food. Lovely atmosphere and pretty views over the pond. The lady serving our table was particularly friendly. Would visit again but didn't appreciate being told by another waiter we had to vacate the table when they had only just served our desert. Fair enough if we'd just been sitting there but surely it is the job of the restaurant to make sure all three courses are served in the time allotted to each table.

Great experience very well looked after great food will come back

We'd been here back in January after a long hiatus due to the previous meal we'd had just being "OK". In January, the meal was superb and we had an all round excellent experience - so much so that we stayed all afternoon and listened to the crooner. Yesterday the food seemed to have reverted to pre-January quality. I had the pork again as it had been so good, but the crackling was virtually inedible (and this was after I'd had to ask for it). Both my fellow diners had the carbonara which they described as "claggy". My chilli margarita was neither here nor there (again, I'd had this before and it had been fantastic) - not enough of anything in it really and tasted a bit watered down. It was actually the same crooner though, and he is awesome, so we still had a great time. Service is attentive without being overbearing (although the waiter we had could have done with a clean waistcoat and trousers!). Such a shame that the food quality isn't consistent - and with a bill of over £200 for 3 of us, will make us consider trying somewhere else next time.

Original Indian cuisine. Tasty and good regional meal. If in Walton and hungry for a curry, pop in, but bring your own alcohol. No licence.

The service was good. The dishes we ordered were not oily and tasted freshly prepared. Good to see a good indian in Walton.

Music was a bit loud for a lunchtime. Mussels came with very little sauce so I had to ask for more which they supplied very quickly without fuss.

Dry Milanese not helped by odd combination of spaghetti ragu topping. Starter of mozzarella cheese was like three slices of deep-fried bread. Generally too much creamy sauce with scallops and the salmon. Italian good is simpler, with good quality ingredients. Other diners on our table digested heavily on their meals.

Staff are frans welcoming. Can’t do enough for you. Food was delicious.

The welcome was excellent and Adam who looked after us was exceptional. We enjoyed the experience tremendously. The menu was wide ranging and room left for us to return! The wine recommendation was spot on and we had an exceptional primitivo.

Definitely not something I would get again smallest portions I’ve received from a curry house and the sauce for mine and my partners curry’s was very watery and missing the full flavour

Here's a review you could leave: While the food was good, this might not be the best spot for catching up with a friend due to the loud music. Additionally, the service was somewhat lacking, especially when waiting too long to pay the bill and having to go up to the till. Overall, it was a decent experience, but improvements could be made in terms of ambiance and service.

FANTASTIC TIME YESTERDAY, FOR SUNDAY LUNCH. A BRILLIANT ATMOSPHERE, DELICIOUS FOOD AND OUTSTANDING SERVICE. ALWAYS LOOK FORWARD TO GOING TO THE SPAGHETTI TREE AT WALTON ON THE HILL. THE RESTAURANT IS A HUGE ASSET TO OUR VILLAGE.

Had such a an awesome time for my son's 18th , The Team were brilliant helping us before to ensure the meal went perfectly and allowing us to "decorate" the table and then perfectly attentive during the meal. Thank you 😊

Overall food and wine was good. Ambience was not good and very loud and it was really hard to heat my friend. Two large parties meant staff were busy snd took long periods to help us. Might go back during a quieter night.

I did use the love this place, but my recent visit wasn’t such a good experience. Firstly, the restaurant was so busy it felt overwhelming and you couldn’t hear yourself talk and that was without the music on. Secondly our mains arrived cold which we were returned but came back not much warmer and wasn’t enjoyable as it was liver… The service was quite slow because the restaurant was so full and we felt the waiter changed his attitude towards us because we returned our mains. However The upside is if you’re not bothered too much about food then the ambience with the singer was very good and it made up for that… The drinks are reasonably priced but I question if I would ever return because of the food problem which wasn’t rectified..

We’ve been coming here for years, even during old ownership. It never dissapoints, lovely staff and great Indian cuisine. Prices are extremely reasonable too. Would and have recommend to anyone.

Lovely Mother’s Day at the spaghetti tree as always . You definitely need to celebrate an occasion here or just a night out and you’ll definitely enjoy your experience.

Nice atmosphere and very friendly service. Food was disappointing. Scallops were grey and dry, clearly not from the shells they were served in. Anti pasta lacked variety but nice mozzarella. Chicken burger very dry and most of it was left. Same with veal. Seabass sauce was just like butter with no flavour and had been left under lamp. Calzone and beef ribs ok. Didn’t stay for dessert. £300 for 6 with 1 bottle of house red and a cocktail.

Had a great evening. Food was lovely. Felt that the music was too loud early on when we were eating and trying to have a conversation. Would definitely return though.

Very busy Sunday with two very large groups on either side of us so noise level high. Fortunately we had almost finished our meal. Decided not to have a dessert had a coffee and paid for our meal. Asked to leave our table at exactly 2 hrs. Door was opened before all guests clad but staff charming. No car park and parking very limited.

We have recently moved to Walton and had to find somewhere new to get our weekend takeaway from - Walton Tandoori is by far our favourite! It was our first meal after unpacking, and has ever since delivered a delicious hot and fresh meal ever since. We are looking forward to eating in the restaurant soon! Recommend the onion bhajis

Absolutely amazing afternoon for Rat pack roasts with Rob Lowe Staff were attentive and friendly Entertainment was incredible not just a singer but interacted lots too and funny Food was incredible I was yet to find someone I would eat a roast out other than home cooked and this absolutely topped it even an extra jug of gravy on request Absolutely smashed and made me feel special for A birthday afternoon out We all thoroughly enjoyed it you could see the whole place loved it Thank you

The restaurant was modern, clean and comfortable. The food was so nice and very authentic. The staff were polite and couldn’t be of more service. The entertainment was top quality. Absolute bargain.

Disappointing meal. Main course took forever to arrive after the starters. Service was inconsistent, and poor overall, and the food was average. A friend told us she had recently had a disappointing meal there, but we had hoped it was a one off. Clearly not.

Went to the spaghetti tree for my daughters 8th birthday, absolutely fantastic from start to finish Greeted at the door like old friends and the service is as always brilliant. Food was exceptional (I recommend the lamb shank) Will be visiting again soon

I’ve always wanted to come and do glad I’ve finally done it. The food was delicious and the wine was great too. Waiters were friendly and did a superb job. I’d come back again very soon for the those porcini arancinis. Also, the live music was a bonus!

The food was amazing as usual but the table we were seated at was very dark, so we struggled to see the menu clearly. The people on the table seated behind us actually moved. For a week before Christmas, the restaurant was relatively quiet, with little atmosphere, but lovely decorations. It would not put me off going back, but as it was my partner's birthday, I left feeling a little disappointed.

We have been to The Spaghetti Tree a number of times over the years and it’s always been very Good, last night did not cut mustered, we will give a miss for a while. Thanks Tim
