Absolutely out of this world. An amazing experience with exceptional food!

Overpriced and over rated. £11.25 for a quarter glass of red wine and seafood pasta lacking in seafood. No atmosphere for an Italian restaurant- would not return.

We have been twice as a family in the last month and both times the service has been amazing. The food was delicious we will definitely be going back

I went for a meal here and I am now 3 days in with a bout of terrible food poisoning since my visit. I had the pork ribs for starters and a lobster pasta dish for main. My friend ordered differently and hasn’t been affected. Overall the restaurant is lovely looking - we sat in the conservatory but it is very pretentious and we felt the waiters were overly attentive, several different waiters checking in with us too many times during the meal we could hardly start a conversation between us without being interrupted. Update: 17 days of illness and a course of antibiotics were needed. I have yet to get a response from the restaurant. I have filled in all the relevant info on the document they sent. Service isn’t acceptable.

We came here on Friday 20th September on an evening to celebrate my son’s birthday! There was 6 adults in our party, and we had a great night. My son has insisted on this restaurant for his birthday for the last 7 years, he loves it that much, but since our last visit it’s had an amazing refurb, and what a great job they’ve done. Much more classy, lovely cosy atmosphere, but as always the staff and service is second to none. They’ve done a few changes to their menu too, so much choice, the food is just simply amazing here, we all had something different and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. Staff so attentive and chatty too, with a lovely birthday cake brought over to my son and a nice little chorus sang to him which was lovely. I can’t recommend this place enough, whether it’s for a family meal or just couples, the atmosphere is always good, always busy, so you must book! Love it. You must try. Thanks again for making my sons night so special x

Fantastic meal following the refurbishment 👍🏼 The restaurant looks really good - smart and luxurious (love the lampshades 🥰) and the food and service was excellent. Pleased you gave in Estes in many more, interested and experienced waiters as well 👏🏼

Food good, not pricey. Service good. Atmosphere good. Alcohol a fortune...

We arrived early for our meal but there was no space in the bar area for a drink so went to the pub next door. Arrived back for the time we'd booked for- 9pm- and took a while to get seated. Once seated and given menus it must have been at least 10/15 minutes before anyone came to take even a drinks order. At that point we ordered food as well. Took ages for the drinks to arrive. Asked for tap water as well but were told there were 'no jugs available' so could have bottled water instead at a cost. We said no and he said he'd bring us a jug when one became available. We never got it. (Could they not have filled 2 glasses from the tap??) Took ages for the food to arrive. When our Italian bread starter arrived we asked for olive oil and balsamic vinegar to accompany it. We received the oil, but no vinegar. We had to remind them about the vinegar but had to wait so long we'd virtually finished the bread. Main courses were delicious. We then had to wait ages for them to be cleared away and no one came to ask about desserts or the bill. Eventually, after waiting ages, we called someone over to ask for the bill. It was 11pm by now and we were keen to get home. We got the bill but no one came to take our payment. Again after having to wait we called someone over, who eventually found someone else and we were able to pay and leave. I eat out a lot and don't usually experience such slow, disinterested service. Unpersonal and style over service.

Our first time back since the refurbishment and what a lovely place. This is a lovely eatery and the service beginning to end was spot on. Both friendly and professional. A genuine Italian restaurant. The food is excellent. The spaghetti carbonara was particularly noteworthy. It's pricey but I am pleased to say that here you do get what you pay for! We will be back!

Updated review (since refurbishment) I've had good experiences here in the past and was so looking forward to this visit to see the refurbished restaurant. First impressions were great - it looks beautiful. We had a good table in the conservatory - which is much nicer than it used to be. We asked for sparkling water as we were seated, this didn't arrive until after we had ordered drinks which was over 10+ minutes - and the restaurant was not that busy. We had oysters pre-stater which were average and quite gritty. Our starters arrived a full 5 minutes apart. Mine was hot and so cooled quite a lot before my partners cold starter arrived (which was only after we had chased the waiter). Our wine was in an ice bucket behind us, but no waiter checked when we needed our glasses topping up. My partner had to turn awkwardly to reach the bottle so we could fill glasses ourselves. We had a shared main of steak and lobster. The steak was superbly cooked and delicious. The lobster was overcooked and chewy in places. The waiting staff varied greatly from professional and friendly to seemingly stressed and unapproachable. We found it hard to get their attention most of the time (the couple at the next table commented on this too). This wasn't for the lack of staff, but because they seemed drawn to certain tables, perhaps regular guest, where they spent plenty of time chatting. We on the other hand were snapped at on one occasion - as though we were asking too much of the waiter. We spent £250 for two people and the experience was not good enough for this price. The only thing that lets this restaurant down is the service charge......3 of us charged over £12 for lunch ....I tip for good food and service.... don't appreciate it added on regardless of my experience...

Flying pizza has always been the best food around with the best service. But after the refurb the decor and atmosphere is like an Elite London restaurant. 5* across the board

We often dine in San Carlo Leeds so knew the food would be good and to be honest it was very good if pricy. The old FP was always cliquey and it still is but to be fair if you are a regular I suppose you will be made a fuss of but it seemed that new faces were not made as welcome although our young waitress was very nice. The main part of the restaurant is very dark and we were not alone in getting our torches out to see the menu The bar area is very small lots of people at the bar which makes it hard to get to the reception! We were early so had a drink at the bar although it was hard to get too as people just sat at the bar including children We had a nice mea but will stick with the city centre one.

Food was exceptional!!! All four diners had a different pasta dish ,each one was delicious in its own way!!

The food was lovely when it eventually arrived, but the service was poor. My friends and I will not be returning.

Decided to re visit on Monday lunchtime with my elderly uncle. Absolutely beautiful food & service. Such a warm welcome & very attentive to our needs & filling wine glasses. The food was amazing, we shared the San Carlos appetiser and were advised just to over it for 2. Perfect All 3 mains were yummy & then the famous ice cream. We will definitely be back. Thank you for helping us have a wonderful afternoon.

Unfortunately we were a bit disappointed on our recent visit. Our starter and three of the mains were beautiful and that is why I've still rated a 3, however, one of the mains, a pizza was only luke warm not hot, although it tasted nice. The service was poor with me having to remind staff twice that a side was missing, meaning our guest was half way through her steak when her chips arrived, which were just plonked on the table when they came, without checking who they were for or apologising and not giving them chance to ask for vinegar so I went to ask for this and this was then also plonked on the table with no eye contact or comment. On the staff's recommendation, who said all desserts were freshly home made on site, two were order but were clearly not freshly made as the meringue and cream was dry and the flaky pastry was hard and chewy not crispy. They tasted like they had been frozen and allowed to thaw. I ordered 2 lattes to come with dessert and they never arrived. For the prices charged, these issues need ironing out as it is usually such a treat and wonderful experience to eat here.

The inherent beauty of this wonderful restaurant goes much deeper than their recent face-lift. Dining with my wife and children in the conservatory on a beautiful Sunday evening, it was the service and quality of the food that eclipsed the stylish new interior. Vito and his colleagues couldn’t have made us feel more welcome - attentive, generous and charming. The food is getting better every time we come. Stunning crispy arancini, oozing on the inside, drenched in cream and generously covered in truffle. Lobster tagliolini, a lip smacking delight, and my wife’s sea bass perfectly cooked in a salt crust, moist and plentiful. My girls had / smashed the granny out of their usual spaghetti bolognaise - freshly made pasta holding a rich, unctuous ragu with mountains of fresh Parmesan. The lemon sorbet, hazelnut chocolate cake to finish, hit the spot nearly as well as the bottle of Chablis and a well made Negroni. The Flying Pizza is back with a swagger and deservedly so. For me, service is everything and they have it in spades.

Disappointing experience, went for a special family occasion, the service wasn’t what I would expect from this venue. Left for long periods without anyone coming anywhere near the table or even attempting eye contact, wrong starters brought to the table, the large prawns in the Frito Misto were awful, main courses attempted to be delivered while we were still clearly in the middle of our starters, two of the main courses were clap cold when they eventually did arrive and had to be replaced. In my opinion the steak & lobster dish, for what we actually received on the plate, 6/7 slices of fairly average cold steak and a tiny lobster with barely any meat inside, at £80 was quite frankly disgraceful, add to this £20.75 for a glass of rosé and an £80 service charge, everything needs to be so much better if you want to charge these prices. There is a positive however, after we sent the two main courses back and I explained we were disappointed with all of the above the service changed completely, much more attentive and felt more like a valued customer, that’s exactly how it should have been from the start, so they can do it. Come on guys, you’re better than this, please don’t let this iconic restaurant go the way of many others due to poor service, over charging for poor produce and a lack of care.

Came here on Saturday evening for my son’s 18th birthday. Beautiful food and lovely staff 😊

Nice atmosphere but food is average, ordered 3 pizzas, they all arrived different sizes with inconsistent toppings. £4 for the tiniest bottle of coke and £6 for a pint of beer is a joke. Nice of them to add the tip on the bill without you deciding what percent you want to give, took them about 10 minutes after being seated to ask for our drinks order, lost it's spark big time has the flying pizza.

Food was fine, not quite worth the price of £17 for a pizza. Biggest issue was the staff rushing through trying to get us out. Got asked if we were ready to order food 5 mins after sitting down, we said no, 2 minutes later. Are you ready now? Table behind us got the top class treatment of recommendations and courtesy. Forks barely hit the plate before they started clearing them away. Working class people clearly not welcome among their usual posh cliental.

Fantastic food, excellent service. Would highly recommend. The best place to eat Italian food in Leeds.

We went as family for my daughter’s 21st birthday, food was amazing, my daughter’s steak was unreal as she put it . The staff were so lovely , friendly, funny and attentive. Massive shout out to the lovely guy who showed us his photos of all the Leeds united players.. he is brilliant. Honestly, we had a lovely afternoon and we will return.

Lovely place, delicious food, amazing staff. As always we left very happy, it’s not just that food makes us happy 😋 We had a dinner at SCFP for my bday and our anniversary- it was a lovely experience Oysters were serve the „insta” was 😻 we also had sea food risotto - my partner isn’t really a seafood lover but he enjoyed it very much - which means it was really good ♥️ Welters were taking really good care of us making sure we got everything. If You can’t decide what drink would go best with your meal- just ask and they will help you pick the right choice. By the end when we wanted to ask for a bill we got dessert surprise 😻 10/10

Had a fantastic time here with a large group celebrating a friend’s birthday - it was the whole party’s first time here and we all loved it. Firstly, the service was impeccable and very attentive. I noticed staff coming to check on us without disturbing us very frequently, topping up wine, and all were very friendly and polite. They were great with bringing out the cake we brought as well. Truly could not fault the service whatsoever. For food, I had the Famous Spaghetti Frutti du Mare and it was really nice. I’d had my eye on it when I’d looked at the menu beforehand. Price-wise it’s a little more expensive than other things on the menu but I felt it was worth it. I tried the mussel in white wine sauce starter as well and that was brilliant. The price of the food here is very fair for the quality you get. I was driving but others in my party were drinking and we felt that’s where the price was bumped up a bit as the drinks are definitely on the pricier side. Overall a great experience and would definitely come again.

Loved the ambience, the service was impeccable and the food delectable. The crew are friendly, hospitable and great with kids.

The Flying Pizza has lost none of its quality over the years, service is still a little stand offish and they believe in their own self importance but food is top shelf but they know how to charge for it also. They let themselves down with the drinks, who serves sodas out of small bottles nowadays, a throwback to money making out of soda. Atmosphere is always there still a place to be seen, however, the food makes up for it

First visit here on a friend’s recommendation and it was amazing. The sea food was the best and the staff were amazing and never left you thirsty. Didn’t get a chance to take any pics but will do next visit.

Great food at reasonable prices, lovely interior and super helpful staff. Shame about the table next to us causing disruption which disrupted the atmosphere, being rude and unkind to staff but staff handled it excellently.

Came here with my family for a birthday meal - we were in a large group and were seated in a semi-private area which was great. The pros were that the atmosphere was great with great decor and it has been recently renovated. The cocktails and drinks were served promptly and the service was great. The only thing I would say is that the food was very hit and miss with the breaded scallops being disappointing, tasting very dry. I would highly recommend the lamb which was tasty. Overall great service and atmosphere but the food needs some improvement.

Been here on a few occasions and never disappointed. Last visited just over a week ago for my fiancé’s birthday & was blown away over the friendliness of the team. There are places that do customer service well, and places that are outstanding with their service. Flying Pizza is the latter. To top it off, the food is always incredible. Highly recommend

It used to be great 30 years ago which was the last time we went. The lasagne has gone downhill, hardly any meat in it. We won't be going again

I have been coming to the Flying Pizza for many years. However, New Year’s Eve I was really disappointed. We were put on a table in the corner and basically forgotten about for 30 minutes. Somebody eventually did come and take the order. The food was nice but they forgot one of the starters meaning we didn’t all eat together. With a bill which was a lot of money as there was 9 of us, I left feeling really disappointed.

Posh restaurant to dine in, food is okay as well as service.

Long wait for service, food not as description though was remedied, however the replacement wasn't the best. Service was decent though. Food when it arrived wasn't really worth the money and the place was really noisy.

Fantastic experience on a very busy day We booked for Christmas Eve a table for 10 and we wanted to be in the conservatory They never promised but we ended up in there Service was impeccable friendly helpful fantastic to say they were very busy Food was hot and fabulous we had pasta and a fillet steak for 2 can’t fault it Even tho my meal was a little late I never really minded as the atmosphere was so good and it was complimentary after being late So pleased it made our family day thank you ♥️

Extremely confused by all the bad reviews , I’ve been here 4 times now each time was excellent and I felt I was treated really well ! The food was perfect , all of it , the wait times were fine , only slight issue was that no one came to collect the payment so I had to go to the counter to pay , but it’s not enough to make me unhappy at all about the experience, I will continue to come here and to recommend.

After one year and my friend suggests I decided to back to flyn pizza and I'm glad I did the food was amazing perfectly cook and truly Italian .I think they change a chef and I can wait to be back . service also was very friendly and professional thankyou finally flying pizza back to top 🔝.

Shocking to say the least nothing Italian about it!!!!!! Uni waitress staff with no clue, that’s just the start lengthily waits for everything table, drinks, food everything! Please do not bother this is coming from An Italian I am embarrassed! the pasta had nothing Italian about it ,the whole place … except the odd member of staff .. chef’s am sorry you need to try a new profession, honestly if I wasn’t on a business do’ I would of walked out sent everything back & not paid never in my life have I done this or wanted too now if that doesn’t say something.. oh and nothing to take a photo of the food was that embarrassing so no social media snaps!! Lovely surroundings, good service but overpriced for standard Italian food

The atmosphere is just second to none let alone the food and service

What a disappointment! It’s a few years since I last ate in this restaurant, time has done it no favours. I ordered tempura prawns for starter, it looked identical to the prawn cocktail my friend ordered, with the exception of some soggy batter. The sauce was the same, the lettuce it was on was the same, the serving dish was the same and the mayo dressing was the same as the prawn cocktail . Almost £14 for 5 rather small tasteless prawns is excessive. Lobster and crab ravioli with pink peppercorn sauce for mains, goodness only knows where the lobster was but it wasn’t in my meal. The pink peppercorn sauce has changed substantially (not for the better) since my last visit. It was more of a tomato sauce with added peppercorns on top. It was far too overpowering for the dish and seemed to me to be the same tomato sauce that many other dishes were served with. There’s a huge menu at the Flying Pizza, perhaps it would be better to reduce this and go back to doing things better. I don’t mind a slightly higher price point if it’s a quality product, this wasn’t.

We are 3 pensioners pushing the boat out for a Christmas lunch and so know that this restaurant is not cheap. However the food is always excellent and today was no exception. Yes there's a but coming. But we were not expecting to pay an extra £11 for our Pinot Grigio. We ordered a bottle of Pinot Grigio at what we thought was £33.50. "Pinot Grigio San Carlo?" said the waitress. So, as we thought, the house wine. No, that one's £44.50 as we discovered when the bill came. I understand that it's probably company policy to try and sell the more expensive wine, but, (another but) we feel duped. A different waitress took our payment and she was having none of it; to paraphrase, that's what you drank, that's what you pay for. Buyer beware.

After coming to the flying Pizza for nearly 40 years from boy to man. I am still delighted that this Leeds institution is going from strength to strength. Well done all x

The Flying pizza never fails to live up to its wonderful nearly 40 years of history and feeding the great city of leeds, and yes I have been coming since 1974. Last night’s food , service and atmosphere was a good if not better than ever. Well done team San Carlo Flying pizza you did great. Here’s to another 40 years!!!!

Had been really excited to try here so drove from Darlington, the manager who greeted us and took our order seemed like he was looking down on us like he made us feel like we weren’t good enough to be in there, well £200 later to feed 2 adults & 3 kids- Every customer should be made to feel welcome! Also he needs to smile when greeting people. Place wasn’t busy, kids enjoyed the pizza and lobster spaghetti, steak was nice nothing flash really definitely not worth the hype or money. Disappointed and felt very unwelcome.

We had an excellent dinner thanks to Dan and his team. Everyone was sweet with our little guy which helped us relax and enjoy the excellent food and atmosphere. We'll be back again soon!

Recently ate as a Walk-in with the family at San Carlo, Flying Pizza, Roundhay, Leeds. We visited on a Saturday around 2.30 pm and received a warm welcome. We didn’t have a reservation but were shown to a lovely table in the centre of the restaurant. The ambience and atmosphere were fantastic and the service throughout from all the staff was faultless. The food was beautiful, fresh ingredients, traditional Italian, and there was a good selection for the kids who had pizzas which were a great size. I polished off a Chicken Calzone (picture won’t do it justice) and the good lady had Ravioli; we also shared some Calamari to start. Loved the viewing window into the kitchen and interactivity with the chef. At the time we visited, there was a large group table and the restaurant was approximately two thirds full. All service was prompt and it brought back a lot of good memories from time spent of yesteryear. Value was OK with drinks; Peroni on tap and strong wine list, and we will certainly be back, in a heartbeat. We were casually dressed, but the restaurant would suit any occasion, from family meal out, birthday celebration, group meal or romantic dining. From our experience, I can certainly recommend San Carlo’s Flying Pizza, Roundhay, Leeds.

We have always loved San Carlo restaurants and we have tried a few on our travels. Tonight we went to the Flying Pizza in Leeds and it was worth our trip from Harrogate. The service is warm and welcoming. The restaurant is dressed for the festive season and looked beautiful especially on an evening with all the lights. Our food was excellent we had a wonderful experience and would definitely recommend.

We decided to give the place another chance, we had visited back in 2021 when things were just re-opening after Covid and didn’t have a good experience, however a few friends had said they had been recently and had a really good meal so we thought we would give it another try. I wished we hadn’t bothered. The service is still poor, some of the staff are quite rude. We waited for 30 minutes for someone to take our order which we did receive an apology for. The menu is quite limited in respect of starter options lots of prawn dishes. Both my starter (mussels) and my main (steak) were not very warm. My steak didn’t have much flavour and was disappointing. We ordered a side dish of tender stem broccoli which was absolutely covered in chilli. The food is mediocre at best, overpriced and not very flavorful. The service is average. Not a great experience and certainly not value for money, will not be recommending or returning.

Not great when you book a table for 4 on a Saturday evening and get seated in the outside extension next to a huge party table of 24 complete with kids playing games running around shouting. Won’t be rushing back anytime soon. Food was nice though.

I had a beautiful evening experience with excellent service. We where seated in the conservatory. The atmosphere was lovely, and the staff went above and beyond to make our meal enjoyable. The gentleman from Puglia recommended an outstanding wine to pair with our meal, and it truly enhanced the dining experience. Highly recommended.

Went here with my husband last night, and all we can say is wow! Went a few years ago and wasn't the best but must have a new chef, the food was absolutely amazing, very happy with our visit, also very clean and looks amazing inside. We will be back.

No longer an authentic Italian food. The menu is created by accountants and followed by staff rather than chefs. Closer to a McDonald model. Leeds has lost an iconic restaurant

The food was OK but nothing great. A slightly better version of Pizza Express but with much higher prices. The starter of slow cook cod was bland and the pasta mains were not great. Pasta a little too thick and the sauce was rather bland and too stodgy. Service was slow and lacked attention, with several orders incorrect. The coffees had to be returned as they were cold. Would I go again? Don’t think so. Style (or at least a pretence at) over substance.

Sadly this restaurant is not living up to it's past reputation. Four of us arrived for dinner on Saturday evening. It was busy but the service was really poor. We had eaten our starters before our bottle of wine arrived. It was quite chaotic. If you are training staff then can I suggest you book less covers so that the experience can be better for customers paying £50+ per bottle of wine and trying to enjoy a drink with their meal.

I’d not been for many years but the old sparkle didn’t come through. The table was 30 mins delayed. They wouldn’t give us drinks whilst we waited (too busy apparently). Food was ok, nothing much better than a low budget restaurant and the atmosphere can only be described as ‘edgy’ but not in a friendly way. Disappointed, but hope any further visits are much better!

Been coming here for 28 years and tbh over the years staff have moved on but the attention and service has been amazing since day one. The food is fresh and seriously tasty. My advise is if you are new tell them what you want and how you want it. Great restaurant with a nice vibe. Wholeheartedly would recommend this place. 👍

I've been visiting this restaurant since 1974 when it first opened. I knew Franco and enjoyed the 20 years of ownership by Adriano, the restaurant was always the best in Leeds. Sadly San Carlo have lost the touch, service has fallen off a cliff and the food is not what it once was and it's seriously overpriced for a pizza joint

I gave this place another chance but I sadly regretted it. Where to start from? No welcoming greeting at the door, staff very miserable like they don't want to be there. Pizza very soggy and greasy. Pasta under cooked and luke warm. Zucchini not crispy and the list goes on.... Mentioned to the manager but no response. Appaling attitude, shrudding the shoulders and walked away. Long time gone when this plave was thriving

Absolutely no improvement from the last time I visited; in fact its gone worse. Food was absolutely tasteless for the whole table. Service was terrible coupled with expensive food. The cheese on my pizza was chewy and the pizza dough was rubbery. Other 5 people on the table also commented on how bland and tasteless the food was. There was no presentation and the food was just slapped on the plate with no garnish whatsoever. The appearance was unattractive. I genuinely wonder what is the draw or the attraction to this place. The staff we cold as a snake with no smile and they have the guts to add 12% service charge, REALLY

Unless you’re interested in the ambiance not the food and good customer service then yes. The food was was awful for the whole table of 5 people. Staff are not attentive, service is slow. Struggled to identify the draw to this place. I can now say I’ve had the worst calzone ever: bland bland and dry. The cheese inside was rubbery and for the other people on the table it was the same comment despite them having different dishes. They focus on quantity rather than quality. The menu is also extensive and in needs to be shortened so that they focus on providing the best food. As bland and as awful the food was, the price was too expensive as well. It couldn’t get any worse. Maybe we’re used to eating in better places.

Excellent food and great service very friendly staff love it there will go again

Sad to have to award one star but this place is a classic example of a once great restaurant that is now in decline. We came for an early evening meal and were seated in the conservatory. The waitress was filling ice buckets from a large plastic vessel which destroyed the vibe and then managed to spill the entire contents all over the floor, placing the plastic bucket on a nearby table while people were eating. My 3yr old’s Salmon Penne had a piece of plastic in it. The dish was taken off the bill but this kind of thing should never happen, especially at this price point. Overall, the food was disappointing and we got the impression that dishes were warmed up rather than freshly made to order. I live in London and am used to paying top £££ for a meal out but these guys are charging London prices for mediocre food and service. Wont be going back.

My sister and I came back because we loved the cheesecake. We however, had a few concerns while we were being seated at our table. Mr Marco assisted us and resolved the issue at hand, that was the turnaround for us. I’m booking my 40th dinner here simply because the resolution was outstanding.

We came here on a rainy Sunday and sat in the ‘extension” which was lovely. The restaurant was buy for a Sunday and has a really good atmosphere. The food was amazing! Very tasty as had for scallops for starter which were lovely. We both had pasta for main and the portions are huge!! Really good blue for money, it’s hard to find a good authentic Italian but I think this hit the mark. The service was good and we spent time after the meal with our drinks listening to the rain. Excellent restaurant, we will be back.

This is the most amazing place to eat. Never had any food that wasn’t absolutely amazing. I’ve visited maybe 100 times over the last 15 years and always loved it.

Lovely food and atmosphere. I do go regularly. Customer service is great too as once they made a not so little mistake but they went above and beyond to compensate. Lovely staff..food is great. Would expect more gluten free options though from a lovely place like that. Specially desserts.. there is almost no GF option. Will go again for sure. Xxx

Top quality pizza's guys n' gals and there's definitely no Pizza Gate madness going on here as it happens that's all to do with Woking's Pizza Express!

Although we arrived at lunchtime, we were not shown the lunch menu and when we asked if we could have the lunch deal, as we had ordered the correct items, the waitress refused. The food was delicious, but unfortunately marred by disingenuous and unhelpful service...

We took our kids (8 and 10) for a birthday meal and we were very well looked after. Food was great, staff helped organise the surprise birthday cake brilliantly and the restaurant has a great family atmosphere. Food excellent as always and matches up to...

Ordered Tomahawk on a special occasion. Was chewy with no flavour. When mentioned to waiter, chef said its fine and dissmised our feedback. Even though he chewed a piece for ages and agreed with us. No apology or acknowledgement seemed very arrogant. So disappointed as a regular..won't be back ..

An institution and still very good. Nice late lunch: oysters were as promised very fresh and properly served. Both mains pizza calazone and chicken were really nice, plenty of tasty food. I disagree that it’s lost that ‘magic’, it’s good honest Italian food. Service was cheery and efficient and prices competitive - if you really want to spend similar money, get well inferior food and have less choice, then go, where I guess you always do, to pizza express down the road! This place has the most incredible food! Wanted to try everything on the menu! There wasn’t one thing we didn’t like! Great service and atmosphere! We liked it that much we went for the first time Saturday night and straight back on the Sunday afternoon! Off again next week! Vito and his team really looked after us and gave us the best experience!
