Had a great lunch, excellent service

Breakfast service is inconsistent and poor quality for vegans. I got told that I couldn’t have a cappuccino with oat milk but only by the manager - two days on the run. The third time he decided he could give me one but only if I paid £5. The rest of the staff were happy to get one without question or charge. Lack of choices for vegans. I take my own breakfast now but pay £25 to sit in the restaurant and use the toaster. There is a lack of bananas every day. Ive stayed 7 times in 3 weeks. The only exception to the service is Matthew. Nothing is ever too much and he’s super helpful and friendly. Dinner is hit and miss. Pizza was soggy and tasteless but the parmigiana was divine (although not hot). Bread board was yummy. Wine is good Dinner service again inconsistent. Staff trained differently and not aligned with hotel billing.

Danielle Fenzi was super helpful and very attentive to our table. We were treated to garlic bread and olives on the house to celebrate our friends birthday- the service took our celebration to the next level. Absolutely awful. Avoid at all costs. Food was poor. The service was shocking.It was onee of the worst meals I've ever had. It was a shame as I did visit a year ago, and the food was good then. Rapidly gone downhill since then.

Visited for dinner one evening and was sadly disappointed. The service was good, the restaurant vibe was good, but the food didn't live up to expectations. Whilst it looked really nice and well presented, the lasagne tasted very average. Ordered some roast potatoes on the side - terrible. Lacked crunchiness and flavour. Not great.

Enzo is so so lovely. Very attentive. Stunarella service. Would recommend.

Daniel looked after my partner and I tonight and made our evening very enjoyable. He was very kind and patient whilst we struggled to order our food (terrible Italians). He was fantastic and so kind. As rated by the 5 stars I could not fault anything from the welcome to the leaving. The atmosphere at 3pm was just right, not too loud, quiet background music, not very full but it is a large restaurant ( it not sure Id like it too full as I expect it would be too noisy) We had the lunch menu 3 courses for £30 inc a free drink, followed by coffee and extra cocktails at the lovely bar before leaving. The bill was £90 for 2 inc service Lovely food and good portions. Great staff and service throughout. Leeds is already blessed with great restaurants but this is the one I go back too.

I’m staying in the Marriott here and I usually don’t solicit the hotel bars however this one is one of the best I’ve ever experienced. The service is exceptional and the bar staff extremely friendly. Faith helped me find a seat when there were none. She wasn’t even a bartender but I appreciated her extra concern. The bartenders made delicious cocktails. Megan makes a mean White Russian. I will definitely be back tomorrow for another round!

Such lovely service, Claudio and Daniel were so attentive and delivered on all of our requests. Food was delicious and the restaurant had such a cosy, comfortable atmosphere. Could recommended this place to anyone, not just because of the recognisable name but for the friendly, welcoming service that we experienced throughout our time there. Thank you!

Got a nice table outside and ordered some starters and the truffle pasta. They used spaghetti rather than fettuccine so it didn't hold the sauce half as well and unfortunately the dish was quite bland, could have done with more cheese. The service wasn't great as they seemed to forget they had tables on the outside and after a long wait we went to the reception requesting a bill a disgruntled looking employee sent us back to the table rather impolitely as if we'd inconvenienced him. In short: not impressed by the staff and food but the table was nice!

I've been at Gino on Saturday for my girlfriends birthday and everything was fab! Especially Claudio who looked after us and was very attentive.

food was so quick, got it nine minutes after ordering! faith was our main waitress who looked after us. she was always on top of asking if we wanted more drinks and helped us pick out a meal when unsure what to have. definitely recommend!!

We were greeted by friendly-ish staff, except for a short blond women who wanted us to take a table at the back of the restaurant where no one else was sat! This review could have been 1 star, however Claudio turned that around and gave us excellent service. The food was good but slightly pricy for a conservative portion.

This is one of our go to places. The food was amazing and the wait staff were as friendly as always (thank you Enzo, Fenti and Claudio). Can't wait to come here for a fifth time!!

Family dinner, for 3 adults and 3 children. Everything was great . Good menu , it was difficult to decide - but everything we ordered was fresh, well presented and delicious . The restaurant was bust but had a good buzz and ambience . The staff were friendly . Our waiter was Fenzi, he was knowledgeable when we asked questions about the menu and so good with the children and was attentive throughout the meal.

Good food and generous portions in a quiet, relaxing setting. We were able to have a lovely family dinner. Daniel was very helpful which made it a great experience.

I love this place and have been a few times. Wow! Stylish restaurant and bar area. Food is delicious. Service, specifically the waiting staff, has customer service just right; timely and attentive. It is one of the few dining establishments which knows how to address and treat a customer properly. Something which is sorely lacking in most restaurants these days. I was saddened, however, to see that, since our last visit, it has joined the ranks of restaurants pre-adding the 12.5% service tip on to the bill. I absolutely do not agree with this. Why should a tip be a 'percentage' of the bill? Why should a 'tip' cost more just for ordering a more expensive dish? The 'service' to deliver a plate is no more costly than the service to deliver a cheaper one. Plus, why should a customer have to be put in the position to ask for the tip to be removed? It completely changes the dining-out experience. Surely the amount of the tip should be at the discretion of the customer to leave on the table, dependent upon their experience for that particular visit. It is a shame, and it is making me dine out less and less. One of the attractive things about this place was that it did not automatically include this on the bill.....but now it does.

The food was very good and the service was great. Our server Enzo was very friendly and we had great conversation with him.

Had a lovely dinner with a colleague. Great service and had nice talks with the staff. We were full after 2 courses, but colleague was still intrigued by the tiramisu on the menu. The staff made it happen and presented her a tiny tiramisu in an espresso cup. Lovely touch! We had the calamaris & aranchine to start. Followed by a sunday roast (porchetta & chicken). Special thanks to Dimitri, Claudio & Daniel for the great service they offered! Will come back whenever visiting Leeds again for business.

Would not go back. Terrible food for the price. Lighting and atmosphere awful. Service average. Was coerced into leaving a ‘cash tip’ as the waiter insist he wouldn’t get the service included on the bill. He wouldn’t leave until we gave him the tip!!!

Great place to grab a meal! The food is fresh and very flavorful. The atmosphere is inviting, and great for a dinner setting. Enzo was wonderful!

Staff were superb, cocktails and service in general was all done to a high standard! However the portion sizes of the food were pretty small and I found it overpriced. More than happy to spend top money on a meal but I found it very much style over substance when it came to the food and its quality.

It was the perfect place to celebrate my graduation. The food was absolutely delicious and atmosphere was amazing. They gave me a complimentary drink in addition to the complimentary drinks we all got with our food. We were served by Daniel who was very attentive and king. It’s rare I go to a place with my whole family and there was something for us all and all of us enjoyed. Wholeheartedly reccomend.

We booked a late night meal here for this evening to get some quality dinner after attending a concert in the city. I unfortunately had no idea that the kitchen was preparing to close when we got there at 10:30pm, as there was a technical issue with the booking system meaning that the staff weren’t expecting us so late. Despite this, Fenzi was extremely professional and kind throughout. He really made the night for us! His recommendations and help were spot on. The food and drinks were lovely too, we really couldn’t ask for anything more. Thank you so much to the brilliant staff for a great night.😊

The restaurant looks good and has a good ambiance but the meal was disappointing overall. The starters and puddings were good but the main courses very very poor and not cheap. The tuna and cod were bland and dry. Feel like the restaurant is trading on the name. I wouldn’t go back.

Fenzi was exceptional with the service. Very professional and friendly. Food was very good in a delightful atmosphere. Would come back again!

We meet up in Leeds several times a year for lunch and a catch up. This was our first visit to Gino D'Acampo and it did not disappoint. We were impressed by our welcome, our table in the window, the choice of food and the complimentary glass of prosecco we were given. The three of us really enjoyed our food which was well presented, served hot and full of flavour. Service was excellent and Daniel looked after us very well. We had a very good coffee to extend our stay to avoid the torrential rain and were told the table was ours for as long as we wanted. Excellent value for money. We will be back in September when we're next in Leeds.

Good ambience, lovely food, however service wasn't the best. I had requested a candle to be put on top of the dessert as we were celebrating a birthday. I had submitted this request on their app, a few days before the booking. I also talked to the receptionist about it when we arrived for dinner. But the whole thing was managed in a chaotic way. I understand things are busy on Saturday evenings but if it was tough to arrange, I'd have understood.

Daniel Fenzi was excellent, helpful, attentive, gave great recommendations and wonderful service. We both said we haven't had servic like that in a long time - eccellente!!!

We had an amazing family meal here on Monday evening to celebrate our daughter's graduation. Gino's restaurant is hospitality at the highest level. Staff go above and beyond to make your experience memorable. The seating is so comfortable as well. We would deff recommend. The food was outstanding!

We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch with our family here yesterday (sunday 7/8/24) - it was one of the best experiences. From the friendly arrival welcome, to the expert advise from Daniel on menu choices and the amazingly tasty cocktails, all 4 of us enjoyed every single moment and the food was exceptional. Service here is amazing. Waiters professional and polite. Sadly let down by being a bit chilly, also one pasta dish was cold. However, overall, the food was excellent - lovely fresh ingredients well prepared. Will definitely return

Our first ever Gino experience anywhere and it was wonderful beginning to end. Italian is my favourite cuisine and I was hoping this restaurant and it did, in spades! Pepe our waiter did a terrific job of looking after us so well. He's proper Italian from Napoli and really knew his stuff. The food was prepared perfectly and the ambience was great. We will be back for sure!

I’ve come here twice for my birthday meals and it’s absolutely lovely! Every single staff member goes above and beyond to make sure you are welcome and the food is always top class. Fenzi served us the last time I was in and he made us feel so at home and cared for. Could not reccomend Ginos enough ❤️

Food & Service was everything I had hoped for. The staff very welcoming, professional. Our waiter was a wonderful young man named Finzi, his knowledge was wonderful & his recommendations where perfect 👌🍝🍸 We are visiting from Belfast with American family, we appreciated the calm atmosphere also the fact the service staff did not rush us or hover around, this means so much as I don't enjoy being crowded over. I will definitely be back if ever back in Leeds.

Was so excited to visit Gino’s as the menu indicates a proper carbonara with guanciale & not ruined with cream… but was so disappointed; despite the guanciale it was the blandest carbonara I’ve ever had 😢 Luckily my husband ordered some delicious chicken scaloppine, & wow! Having tasted a bite of that, with the side of potatoes, I wanted to leave it on my tongue as long as possible without swallowing it, as I didn’t want it to end! Other dishes of greasy fried calamari & stodgy arancini were not exciting; the cheesy garlic bread was nice though with the smoked provolone making it a bit different. Atmosphere was ok, decent service, but there’s a photo wall opposite where we were sat so watched many people hang around posing for their instagram pictures rather than just enjoying a usual restaurant atmosphere.

Had an amazing experience here. The waiter was super friendly and humorous, I think his name was Fenzi he deserves to be recognized!!!I absolutely recommend the place 10/10!!

Lovely dining experience. Our server Fenzi was welcoming, witty, and very attentive. I had the linguine ai frutti di mare, it was well seasoned and the seafood was perfectly cooked. My father had the steak and also throughly enjoyed it. A must try when in Leeds!
