The best restaurants serving Italian food in England

I came here for my birthday with my brother and his wife. I really enjoyed it. The food and service was great. I ordered the 2 course special of deep fried squid and whitebait then the veal scallops with rice. Also the surprise slice of cake and the staff singing for my bday was a nice touch.

Today we ate at ask Italian at the metro centre and it was absolutely delicious. Chloe served us and she was very friendly and served us promptly. Me and my mum both had pizzas which were nice and for the price it was a large size. We also had some olives which were standard but still tasted good and finally we had some mocktails which were divine! Looking forward to returning!

Hicimos una reserva hace un par de meses para las 7 pm anoche. Confirmamos esa reserva hace unos días. Anoche aparecimos a tiempo, solo para descubrir que el lugar estaba cerrado. No había ninguna nota en la puerta. Llamamos a su número de teléfono. Sin respuesta, así que dejamos un mensaje. Enviamos por correo. Sin respuesta. Las horas publicadas dicen que abren a las 6 pm los jueves, así que sabíamos que algo andaba mal. Esperamos 15 minutos a que alguien apareciera o volviera a llamar, luego nos vimos obligados a buscar otro lugar para comer. En este momento, el restaurante aún no me ha respondido para explicarme lo que pasó.

Good pizzeria with real Italian feel.

I stumbled into this pizzeria by accident, and honestly, it was the best mistake I’ve made all week! My pizza with rocket and Parma ham was so good, I almost asked for a second one. My fiancé had a curly unusual pasta with prawns and asparagus, and it was so tasty, I briefly considered trading some of my pizza for a bite. The service was friendly, the vibe was cosy, and I’m already planning my next accidental visit! Highly recommend!

Llegamos a las 9:30 y nos dijeron que habían dejado de servir a pesar de que cerraron a las 11. 30 . Totalmente inaceptable.

Absolute heaven! Food and service top class. Most beautiful wine and hors d’œuvres. Definitely recommend for any occasion. Would visit again very soon.

Great food and service . There was a slight hiccup with my calzone, but easily put right by the staff.

We tried Cafe Latino for the first time, we bought a Groupon which was really cheap, so we weren't expecting much, however, the food was amazing and the service was great, we'd definitely go back again in the future.

Went to Zaza to celebrate my mum’s birthday and the staff were on point, especially Andreea who coordinated the event, the food and service made the day very special for my mother. Highly recommend Zaza.

Really delicious Italian food, great service, lovely atmosphere and very reasonable prices. Fab location on the seafront at Seaton Carew.

This was my first time coming here. I got a caramello English, I received this which included a DEAD fly. The waiters/waitresses/chef did not look at the full plate before handing this out. This is very disappointing and very unprofessional of them. Furthermore this is very harmful and against the law under the Food Safety Act 1990 S7 to not sell food that is unsafe for consumption. I would not recommend going to this place at all. Save your money and don’t bother going here!!!!!!!!

A little piece of Italy/Napoli in Horsforth!!! Everything about our recent trip here was amazing, I have always enjoyed the friendly welcome here, the food is amazing, the quality was like being back in Napoli.
