Good food, only thing that noticed that the portion size gone little downsized. Service and atmosphere are good, some items removed from menu.

Just ordered a chicken burger , and chips . We got our food after 55 mins of waiting , burger was burnt edges were really over cooked , so much sauce was on the burger the chicken was just falling of the bun . Onion were supposed to be caramelised , but were so burnt so much that became bitter to carry on eating , managed to eat some of the burger by taking off the burned onions and edges and try to eat middle part . Chips were so stale and overly oily . For the price and quality of food aswell as service I wouldn’t come here again , waiting times are really long from 12 pm to 2:40 we were at this resturant . I hope things can change for future .

Halal breakfast and brunch options are great but quite expensive

Best French toast I’ve ever had! Went on a Sunday morning with my friend, we were seated straightaway and a friendly waitress took our order. Lots of choice on the menu! We ordered berry French toast and the special pistachio tiramisu French toast. The food arrived quickly and looked almost too good to eat! Can’t fault the presentation! Generous portions and really tasty. Can’t wait to come back!

Went in with my mum and my little one for breakfast. Staff were very lovely and kind. Food and drinks were tasty. We sat upstairs , atmosphere was relaxing. The only thing i would suggest is to get an extra high chair for babies as we got none (only 2 which were used) and eating with 1 year old on your lap is not ideal.

The atmosphere was nice and welcoming, and the seating upstairs was quite spacious and very nicely decorated. And, I liked how it was such a family friendly environment, with so many families dining in as well. The service overall was average/normal, however some workers were quiet rude, with one being confrontational over leaving our umbrella in the basket - instead of explaining why we should, he kept insisting we had to. Also, after waiting 50 minutes in the rain, once we got in, there were no pleasant welcomings or any 'thank you for your wait' type of pleasantries, it was a simple 'your seats are upstairs' and we had to guess which seats were ours. Another point, when it started raining while we were in the queue outside, they initially offered us umbrellas, but then everyone else who joined the queue afterwards had no idea about them and were using their jackets to keep themselves dry, one person we even had to tell ourselves to go inside and ask for an umbrella. Food was very sub par, I ordered a £12 shakshuka which arrived with one egg, and a hot cast iron skillet. The tissue was under the skillet, which meant I was expected to hold the hot iron handle and lift the skillet to get to it. The skillet was also quite small and deep, which meant trying to scoop out some of the shakshuka with the bread was awkward and I'd occasionally touch my hand on the hot skillet. The shakshuka presentation overall looked nice for an insta story, but is clearly poorly thought out for the eating process, especially with bread. Coffee was also sub-par, I ordered a flat white which was very watery and weak. Also from my point of view, coffee is a drink best enjoyed either alongside or after a meal, not before, which is how they served it. Unfortunately this meant by the time the food had arrived, my coffee was already cold.

The food and the service was excellent and I will go back there again

Lovely gem of a place hidden away in Didsbury. We were brave enough to take the kids with us and it was wonderful and child friendly. Elliott was very helpful and knew the menu well. Service with a smile is what we love and service with a smile is what we got! We ordered a full english, Shakshuka and Steak and eggs for our meals and we ordered the following drinks: apple juice, lemonade, frappucino and ferrero rocher milkshake. All food was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. Even the fussy kids gobbled it all up! Excellent customer service and very friendly welcoming staff. Elliott and Jim (hope i spelt that right?) were excellent. Thank you for the amazing food and memorable service. We will definitely be back again soon. PS: chocolate ice creams were a big hit in this lovely hot weather!

So my friend and I were stood in the queue for ages not realising that, if you just want to get something to takeaway, you can head straight to the counter. The sign outside confused us! The sweet treat I got was a caramel-filled delight (see pic).

My first time having breakfast here. I was really amazed by the food and friendly atmosphere. I ordered the Caramello English and it was really tasty, especially the sausages. The customer service was lovely. Definitely would go again!

We didn't have a booking and we had to wait for 20 mins or so to get in. Can see why there was a queue. The food was amazing. We tried the Caramello breakfast and the smashed avocado meal. Delicious high quality ingredients. We didn't get a dessert but eyed them up on other people tables. We will be back to try them out!

This is truly a MAGICAL place! The owner/ chef clearly thinks out of the box! The dishes looks amazing and tastes even better! Defo must go try EVEN if it’s few drive! Make a day of it, go for a long drive, grab brunch, talk about it all the way back!

We have just visited CARAMELLO in Wilmslow for breakfast with friends. What a lovely experience. We were warmly welcomed and drinks order taken quickly whilst we waited for friends to arrive. The food, service, ambience all first class. The presentation of the food was so professional. We’ll be back. Highly recommended.

An Instagram type cafe, good for photos of food, but awful staff and awful service doesn't guarantee a good time at the cafe. This cafe made me realise I'd rather fast over the day or go elsewhere in Manchester than go here again. Hire better staff and make your paying customers feel welcome.

Absolutely a hidden gem. Food was spot on. The staff were very helpful.

I ordered medium rare steak and it arrived medium/medium well. It was incredibly Chewie. The chef refused to accept it was not medium rare. The waiter did take it off the bill but I was given the same plate of food back and it had gone cold and the steak was inedible. I was not able to order anything else to replace the meal as the kitchen had closed. The cafe closes at 5pm, but we were not aware the kitchen closes at 4pm. We let the waitress know we would like tea after the meal and she said that’s fine she’ll be back up to take the order but no waiters or waitresses came upstairs to check or try and take the tea order. Instead they came up at 4:55 and said they’re closing. The French toast tasted more like dry cake would not reccomend.

May have been an rule to the exception however; Service was slow French brioche was stodgy & dry! Rather expensive. Not fussed if I didn't go again.

I have been visiting Caramello in Didsbury for a while now. The food there is absolutely divine especially the pistachio croissant and their French toasts. And the coffee is one of the best as well. I love visiting there on Sundays when I go for my walks. But last couple Sundays when I visited I had a really awful service from some staff members there that I thought I would write a review. The Asian boy who seems new and the girl with curly hair and glasses on, both are really rude. They completely kept ignoring us and are all over the place both the time I was there. I know the place gets busy on Sunday and people are queuing but that doesn’t mean they should treat customers like that. Last Sunday I waited almost 45 minutes after being sat on the table just to get my pistachio croissant, pistachio gateau and flat white. Today again the Asian boy just took my order on the counter and then left me there hanging and went to serve another table. They both kept eyeing me both times I was there and felt like intentionally avoiding us which made the whole experience very uncomfortable. All the other guys are usually quite polite and lovely. It’s a shame for me to not give a five stars review to one of the best food place cause of how some of the staff behaves.

PLACE STANK! ground floor seating with no fresh air whatsoever and all you can smell is eggs eggs and eggs. Asked if we could sit upstairs simple no "it's full". The hot chocolate was warm (not hot) but pleasant to drink.

Caramello serves a fantastic English breakfast with all the traditional favourites, and a variety of breakfast choices and hot drinks. Great service. There's a pay and display car park right in front, although gets full quickly.

Great little independent food place. Breakfast was surprisingly nice and good quality. Service was a little slow and staff are very confused and don’t know what they are doing most of the time.

Recently visited Caramello in Didsbury and was thoroughly impressed by the excellent ambiance, impeccable service, and charming decor. The hazelnut oat milk latte was the best I've ever tasted, and the vegetarian breakfast was both delicious and filling. I can't wait to come back and highly recommend this delightful place to everyone!

You had us at Caramello , waited a little bit it’s hard to find parking which is a down fall as you require to que and wait for a table. However personally I think they should start to consider taking bookings for tables to have any disappointments as the weather conditions in the uk are very unpredictable. Maybe to install a little waiting hub at the side to allow people to access the menus and to wait not in the cold, rainy weathers. It was a great experience today was a group of 4 was highly guided with certain dietary intakes. Staff were very pleasent . It’s was a calm atmosphere lovely to sit down and have a chat with someone. Food presentation was the best hot drinks very asthetic. Overall been here a few times and very time tried something new on the menu. Great news was they accept NHS discount!/ Student discount just ask they will support you with that.

Such a lovely place! Been a few times now and it’s always been amazing. The food is incredible, the staff are very friendly and efficient and the interior and exterior is super lovely.

Friendly staff ..good choice of menu..were lucky in getting a table enough to have our pram by the side of the table. Highchair available which was much needed. Avocado/mushrooms/egg on toast was yummy . Will definitely return soon.

Update following prompt by owner for more information: I have been to Caramello didsbury on three occasions and each time have been left a little disappointed by the food. It looks good, but for the price, I have found it doesn't match up to some other cafes which have similar menus and pricing. The last time I visited the cafe, I had the pistachio french toast: the french toast was basically drenched in syrup so was sickly sweet and had no crunch or browning on the outside. The speciality coffee was okay. There was a queue for the tiny toilet. Some of the staff seem a bit stressed on busy days, which I understand as the seating area is really quite small, but you almost feel guilty once you take in their reaction.

Bad customer service, food I ordered gave me an upset tummy ache only good was the coffee was decent. I won't be returning though. Could at least look happy serving..

Best Breakfast and Brunch in Manchester. Fresh ingredients, heavenly meals and super friendly staff (girl in glasses is an absolute sweetheart). I would highly recommend their Caramello English / Full English with Bloomer, egg royale, florentine, avocado French toast and their bagel. Their drinks are divine, I've simply had the best latte ever here. Everything they serve is absolutely scrumptious and looks and tastes amazing. Paermesian Garlic fries are addictive and should come with a warning. I can eat here all day everyday and never get sick of it. This whole establishment is a hidden gem. I wish they had a branch in Birmingham <3

Beautiful hidden gem serving 100% Halal food. Servers are very attentive and friendly. Ambience is spot on. Parking is somehow tricky to find as it doesn't have a designated customer car park.

Very busy and cosy restaurant, definitely great for breakfast. Its busy as the quality speaks for itself. The staff here were very friendly and the service was excellent, we were fortunate to get a table once we walked in and the food didn't take long to arrive. The food looked amazing and tasted fantastic. Definitely worth visiting if you fancy a decent breakfast or even afternoon brunch. 😋

I feel it’s too crowded especially upstairs. Would be ideal if the seatings were not so close that you can literally hear the conversation next door but overall it’s a lovely place for a catch up with a friend

A beautiful authentic Cafe in Manchester📍 The Pistachio Croissant are a must try from here🥐. The English breakfast is halal and it was very good and the French toast aswell! Atmosphere was very nice you feel comfortable and the service is very friendly highly recommended place!

Amazing service and food. I came with my cousins and we shared the full english and the pistachio french toast. Both were delicious but the french toast was exceptional! I also recommend the lotus hot chocolate. Will come again!

Just had one the best breakfasts, I've ever have. I had the Buttermilk Chicken & waffle, it was so good. The wife had the Eggs Florentine, which I tried & its another full marks. We finished of with Pistachio Fresh Toast & cream, was so delicious. Full marks for food, taste, presentation & to the lovely staff. We will definitely be coming back soon.

The chicken burger is a MUST! The waffle was dense and dry. Where as the pancakes were a miss! Coffee was lovely - my boys liked it. I do agree with few reviewers' prices are overpriced.

First, let's talk about the presentation. The French toast arrived at my table looking like a work of art. The slices were perfectly golden-brown, lightly dusted with powdered sugar, and adorned with a symphony of fresh berries that glistened like jewels. The first bite was pure bliss. The bread was thick and pillowy on the inside, with a slightly crispy exterior that gave it the perfect texture. Each bite melted in my mouth, and the flavors were a harmonious blend of sweet, buttery goodness with a hint of cinnamon.

First time here Never again. Firstly ordered the veggie burger which was so small & came with a measly few chios. Waiter basically stood on your head well felt like it & watching you as soon as I finished my drink he picked the glasses off the table. Then I hit my head on the dryer in the toilet as it was so small and cramped. Just didn't get any good vibes from this place at all. Expensive for what you get very small portions basically like a kids meal. Never seen such small portioned food. Left starving having to eat again somewhere else.

I went to Caramello today because I hear many people talk about it. Its a nice little cafe situated off the main road. I ordered the french toast with berries and it was delicious. It was served with a nice blob of mascarpone cream which I had spread over the french toast. The Coffee is also very good quality. I came on a sunday just before noon and it wasn't too busy. I was served straight away and I only waited about 8 minutes for my food. I will definitely come back to try other items on the menu. If you haven't tried Caramello I highly recommend you come down and try it.

The best Avocado toast I’ve ever had anywhere!

Had the smashed avocado and orange juice. Very overpriced for what it is. Very little avocado served on the plate. The orange juice didn't taste fresh too. Was cash only which was inconvenient but lucky had some on me but staff couldn't issue receipts which was very weird. If tills are down please have a way to manually issue receipts.

Cute atmosphere, French toast and coffee are delicious, I did not like anything else. Would come again but not sure if I would be prepared to wait an hour for a table!

Just had drinks and shared some sort of cake thing…I have no idea what it was but man it was so good and the ice cream is homemade and I was asking WHAT IS THIS FLAVOUR 😳 it was only vanilla 😱 so good!! I went for the Chicken waffle which was one of their most popular brunches, price was on the pricey side and although it was filling, definitely did not get value for money.

Food was good, coffee was really good. But it was a shame that the table service is really poor, there was a really bad attitude among some of the staff. When we walked in one staff member rolled her eyes when she had to wait for us to walk past. We were then placed at a table of 4 as a group of 3 and behind us the staff were saying loudly to each other how we shouldn't have been sat there in case a bigger group came which obviously makes a customer feel uncomfortable. Someone was asked to wipe a table down and made a vomit noise. We went to pay and as I didn't feel tipping was fair for the level of service, I saw the staff look at each other and make faces in such an obvious unashamed way when I clicked 'no tip' on the screen. Then walking out I said thank you and the waitress didn't even look up from what she was doing. Maybe it was a bad day for them, and I don't like sounding so complainy, but I haven't come across attitude like that in a long time - you may feel like you can pull faces and have bad attitude behind customer's backs as if we don't know. But we do. And it isn't kind.

Have visited Caremello many times and have never been disappointed. But on this occasion, the food was not up to standard. Sausages were undercooked and I had to send the scrambled egg back as it was also undercooked. I enjoy my coffee, but the flat white was not up standard either. Come on Caramello, you're better than this. Hope to have a better experience next time.

It's a lovely coffee shop in a great location. The oatmilk latte was so delicious and creamy. Food does appear overpriced. I had the French toast and seemed just like a sweet bread with cheap whipped cream. Didn't think it was worth the price. I would definitely return for a coffee but not for food. It's cute inside and the staff are polite and lovely.
