Out of the many pizza express I have visited with my family I like this one the most. That's mostly down to the man that works there who has always made us feel really welcome even when it's really busy. He is fantastic. The food is as it always is. Good pizza and the kids deal is brilliant. Will be back again.

The staff were exceptional, so friendly, brilliant with the kids, made a real difference, we felt welcome, nothing was too much bother even though they were clearly very busy. Food was hot and delicious, will definitely go back. Good value for money especially with the kids eat for free offer 👌🏼

The pizza is as excellent as in other Pizza Express restaurants but the personnel is one notch above the rest. They are absolutely tireless to keep customers happy and fulfill any wishes.

Faye was amazing, she was really attentive, especially when dealing with allergens, and she was very friendly whilst also giving great and speedy service

Good restaurant, went out with a friend who loves cheese, found cheesy starters, cheesy mains and cheesecake for dessert, all delicious. The waiting staff could not have been better, we had a lovely evening.

I've never left a Google review before but I wanted to say a massive thank you for the service we had today from Peter and the rest of the team. We had our toddlers with us who he couldn't have done enough for - he made them feel welcome and entertained, as well as knowing they'd want food immediately (stat dough balls on arrival) and never made us feel that they were in the way or an inconvenience which is often how restaurants make you feel with young people. I can't rate it highly enough so thank you so much Peter, you're an asset to Pizza Express and we'll definitely be back (but having wine next time). And obviously the pizza was great as always.

A huge thank you to Ian who was so helpful to me and my Mum when we were having problems with our vouchers. The staff went above and beyond to help us and we’re so grateful to them. Our waitress, Jo, was so attentive and friendly. My girlfriend and I enjoyed ourselves so much more because of her! Jo is the reason we will be returning! It was also a really clean restaurant, the service was fast, and the food was good as always. Thanks all!

What a great place! This Pizza Express will take some beating. It’s in a beautiful old building on King Street and the decor is lovely. We were served immediately, Ian and Peter were fantastic hosts. The food was top standard, so much so, we have booked again! Well done guys and thank you, we will definitely recommend.

Saturday night we had an excellent meal. From the friendly welcome to the checkout: everything was right! The most important thing is of course that the taste of the food is really great. If that is also provided with friendly service, a beautiful place and competitive prices: what is not to like? It is a real shame that you are not in the Netherlands.

Fay is amazing!! My husband and I always have the loveliest experience whenever we dine in here. Everyone is extremely kind , helpful and friendly. We have allergies and they are taken seriously, the team are always so helpful and cautious.

The service was good and the Sicilian wine was excellent. Apart from that not a good experience. My wife's pizza was average, not up to the usual Pizza Express standard. My canneloni was a sloppy mess with very little spinach or ricotta. In the middle of the gloop were a few slithers of pasta, not the tubes that usually make it canneloni. There are now so many quality pizza places around we won't be going back to Pizza Express sadly.

Had a fantastic evening at Pizza Express King Street Manchester, great welcome, care and attention throughout our meal. Lovely friendly staff and perfect service. Food and drink were delicious. All in all a great night and well recommended.

We called in without booking and were happy to be able to get a table despite the restaurant seeming quite busy. We were really pleased with the swift service from start to finish. We don’t often get the chance to eat out as one of our daughters is autistic and struggles with new places. The staff were all really friendly particularly one of the guys that welcomed us and took us to our table, he made such an effort with the girls which was lovely. Our server Katie was also really lovely and understanding she accommodated all our daughters special requests with a smile which was much appreciated. We would definitely recommend this restaurant!

I recently visited Pizza Express and was thoroughly disappointed with the customer service. Upon attempting to claim my rewards, the waiter initially informed me that I could do so. However, due to a system issue, I was unable to redeem them. During this process, a lady approached me in a very rough manner, stating that I couldn’t claim the rewards. Her rudeness and lack of professionalism were unacceptable. I expected a higher standard of service. This experience was not about the inability to claim rewards, but about the appalling customer service. I feel compelled to share this disgusting experience to highlight the need for better treatment of customers.

Great place to meet with friends. A place with gentle music in the background, where you can talk without shouting. Excellent food and very nice service. Very nice waiter with a great sense of humor. I highly recommend this place 👍🏻.

You know what you are getting, with Pizza Express and we went for a quick lunch with the whole family. The table service was outstanding. Peter and "Fred" the funniest waiters in town. Sharp, dry wit AND tasty food - what more could you want? We felt uplifted leaving this place. Only the little one went for dessert. The face says it all. Strong recommendation! ♡♡♡♡♡♡

Excellent pizzas. Good staff and that guy helped us to sort out the app and payment. Only criticism. The seating in the booths is too low for the tables. We saw a few people sat on coats, so we had to do the same. Cushions could be useful.

The pizza is amazing, i definitely recommend asking for both the garlic oil and the chili oil. It tastes amazing with every pizza type! The staff were very friendly and accommodating!

Long wait for food despite the place not being very busy. Asked for some water and waited over 10 min for it to be brought to the table. Dirty glasses with lipstick still on it, I presume not checked after taken out of the dishwasher - disappointing! Had to grab a glass from another table. Pizza relatively small (ordered standard size)

90 minutes after i ordered the food they canceled my order . Really poor service

We visited this branch of Pizza Express after a day in Manchester and as usual we received a warm welcome, and loved the Tuna Niçoise Salad which was serviced promptly and was well presented and delicious as usual. Our waiter Peter was very helpful and friendly. He helped us with the App and was so much fun too. The building was spectacular as well as having tasteful decor. There were very high ceilings and on a winters evening this could have been cold, but additional heaters had been added. Lovely experience and we will definitely go back.

One of the chain outlets in Central manchester, which was nicely laid out. The staff were great and the food was satisfying without being world beating, hence my star ratings.

Visited Pizza Express with my Dad before going to the theatre. We've always like the pizzas here (American Hot 🔥) Peter was our waiter. He was very friendly and helpful but also very bubbly and funny too. We had some banter and a laugh with him every time he was at our table. Came here tonight and was really pleased to see that there were many new items on the menu. I tried the new chicken parmigiana and it was delicious, will definitely be ordering again. Beautiful city centre restaurant with friendly staff

Vinimos aquí para un almuerzo de Navidad con colegas de trabajo, pre-pedimos que ayudó enormemente ya que el personal salió con cada plato preguntando por individuos por su nombre que es más personal que el habitual "¿quién pidió el? ? '. Todo el personal, incluidos los servidores, era tan educado y hablador a pesar de que tenían al menos 26 personas + compuesto por dos grupos que fueron rápidos y eficientes. La comida en sí era deliciosa, sabrosa y caliente, que cuando se atiende a las masas no siempre es el caso. Great knowing your favourite food options are there, with friendly people serving . Building being one of older construction has very high ceilings so we found our seats cold being near the entrance.

Food was fine, but there was a lot off the menu when we went, which was disappointing. And no Pizza Express dipping sauce either!

So personally I absolutely LOVE pizza express. In my opinion it is illegal to not get dough balls and the garlic butter is just exquisite. Then my go to is always the classic margarita which is very good but sometimes It’s good to switch it up with incredible pasta. For dessert I would definitely suggest a brownie with amazing vanilla ice cream. For my drink I usually go for anything but recently I found that they have great mocktails, juices and smoothies so definitely try one of them and if you are bringing a child make sure to give them a hat that is free. Elspeth's review is much better than jasmines(pls tell if you’d rather hear from me instead of the likes of her : well let me start of saying an underrated hero served at pizza express is the beautiful breadcrumbed calamari served with lemon ( and if your clever also get the dough balls so u can have it with the garlic butter) same as jasmine the margarita is the order I tend to choose because it’s simple yet perfect. I tend to just get ice cream for dessert and always a appletize for the drink .

First of all,they gave us the wrong order and then delayed are real order by 20 minutes.May I also add that they repeated this mistake 3 times. I usually love pizza express so this is very disappointing!

Snabb service när vi kom dit och trevlig personal. Alla i familjen valde American, några i Classic och några Romano. Alla var nöjda med maten. Finns flera glutenfria alternativ, vilket verkligen uppskattades. Bra hjälp från personalen ang. allergier. De frågade redan vi ankomst om vi hade någon med allergier i sällskapet.

Not a bad meal, we were in the area for a wedding. Service was prompt. The young lady serving us was efficient and nothing was too much trouble.

We have visited this restaurant before and returned as the service and food was so good. We were not to be disappointed as once again everything was perfect. We ordered the Tuna Niçoise salad and it is just perfect! Not only that but the King Street Pizza Express is quite a spectacular setting as the building has beautiful architecture and lovely interior decor. Well worth a visit.

Had a lovely catch-up with ex colleagues

I recently dined at Pizza Express and enjoyed both the food and service, which were up to the usual standard. However, I did notice that the portion sizes seemed smaller than before. The location itself has a charming old wooden interior, which adds a nice touch, but the giant seating booths made the space feel a bit less welcoming. Overall, a decent experience, but there’s room for improvement in the atmosphere.

This is our go to spot in Manchester to get chocolate fudge cake. Peter and George gave us great service. The restaurant is well laid out with a beautiful interior suitable for couples or family outings. The food is amazing and reasonably priced
