90 minutes after i ordered the food they canceled my order . Really poor service

We visited this branch of Pizza Express after a day in Manchester and as usual we received a warm welcome, and loved the Tuna Niçoise Salad which was serviced promptly and was well presented and delicious as usual. Our waiter Peter was very helpful and friendly. He helped us with the App and was so much fun too. The building was spectacular as well as having tasteful decor. There were very high ceilings and on a winters evening this could have been cold, but additional heaters had been added. Lovely experience and we will definitely go back.

One of the chain outlets in Central manchester, which was nicely laid out. The staff were great and the food was satisfying without being world beating, hence my star ratings.

Visited Pizza Express with my Dad before going to the theatre. We've always like the pizzas here (American Hot 🔥) Peter was our waiter. He was very friendly and helpful but also very bubbly and funny too. We had some banter and a laugh with him every time he was at our table. It's nice to see someone who enjoys their job, is good at it but also makes your evening a little bit more special too. Thank you 👍

Came here tonight and was really pleased to see that there were many new items on the menu. I tried the new chicken parmigiana and it was delicious, will definitely be ordering again. I love this pizza express, the interior of the building is so beautiful and all the staff were so friendly. Particularly our waitress, Niamh. She was so lovely and attentive. Really nice evening!

Staff were very helpful and friendly, food was standard pizza express food, you know what you get, it was got, fresh, cooked well and arrived quickly. Thanks for a lovely twixtmas family meal.

We had a train to catch from Victoria and needed a sit-down meal, but with quick service. This place fitted the bill and didn’t disappoint. Didn’t need to rush our meal as it came very quickly. Thank you Pizza Express.

George was exceptional, very kind and attentive. He made sure we had all we needed and made our visit the highlight of our day. He is a credit to Pizza express and always has a smile on his face. Even though the restaurant was very busy you couldn’t feel it for a second from his service. Thank you George we will be back soon.

Food was good, better than we normally get at other pizza express restaurants. Have to say the service was exceptional too, really enjoyed our time there and would recommend if chain pizza is what you're after.

Vinimos aquí para un almuerzo de Navidad con colegas de trabajo, pre-pedimos que ayudó enormemente ya que el personal salió con cada plato preguntando por individuos por su nombre que es más personal que el habitual "¿quién pidió el? ? '. Todo el personal, incluidos los servidores, era tan educado y hablador a pesar de que tenían al menos 26 personas + compuesto por dos grupos que fueron rápidos y eficientes. Great knowing your favourite food options are there, with friendly people serving . Building being one of older construction has very high ceilings so we found our seats cold being near the entrance.

Food was fine, but there was a lot off the menu when we went, which was disappointing. And no Pizza Express dipping sauce either!

So personally I absolutely LOVE pizza express. In my opinion it is illegal to not get dough balls and the garlic butter is just exquisite. Then my go to is always the classic margarita which is very good but sometimes It’s good to switch it up with incredible pasta. For dessert I would definitely suggest a brownie with amazing vanilla ice cream. For my drink I usually go for anything but recently I found that they have great mocktails, juices and smoothies so definitely try one of them and if you are bringing a child make sure to give them a hat that is free. Elspeth's review is much better than jasmines(pls tell if you’d rather hear from me instead of the likes of her : well let me start of saying an underrated hero served at pizza express is the beautiful breadcrumbed calamari served with lemon ( and if your clever also get the dough balls so u can have it with the garlic butter) same as jasmine the margarita is the order I tend to choose because it’s simple yet perfect. I tend to just get ice cream for dessert and always a appletize for the drink .

the pizza was stone cold. toppings where almost invisible. value and quality was shocking. I will never use pizza express again

First of all,they gave us the wrong order and then delayed are real order by 20 minutes.May I also add that they repeated this mistake 3 times. I usually love pizza express so this is very disappointing!

Snabb service när vi kom dit och trevlig personal. Alla i familjen valde American, några i Classic och några Romano. Alla var nöjda med maten. Finns flera glutenfria alternativ, vilket verkligen uppskattades. Bra hjälp från personalen ang. allergier. De frågade redan vi ankomst om vi hade någon med allergier i sällskapet.

Not a bad meal, we were in the area for a wedding. Service was prompt. The young lady serving us was efficient and nothing was too much trouble.

We ate here twice a few days apart during a trip to Manchester. The food was excellent both times and the service was perfect both times. I have allergies and these were well catered for and the allergen information is easily accessible and available

We have visited this restaurant before and returned as the service and food was so good. We were not to be disappointed as once again everything was perfect. We ordered the Tuna Niçoise salad and it is just perfect! Not only that but the King Street Pizza Express is quite a spectacular setting as the building has beautiful architecture and lovely interior decor. Well worth a visit.

Had a lovely catch-up with ex colleagues

I recently dined at Pizza Express and enjoyed both the food and service, which were up to the usual standard. However, I did notice that the portion sizes seemed smaller than before. The location itself has a charming old wooden interior, which adds a nice touch, but the giant seating booths made the space feel a bit less welcoming. Overall, a decent experience, but there’s room for improvement in the atmosphere.

This is our go to spot in Manchester to get chocolate fudge cake. Peter and George gave us great service. The restaurant is well laid out with a beautiful interior suitable for couples or family outings. The food is amazing and reasonably priced

Totally and utterly flabbergasted at the reponse of the manageress. Unwilling to remove items from a calzone due to company policy.... Which I have ordered on many occasions.....customer skills are non existent no wonder market share is going downhill and up coming pizza places are taking your market....

I love eating here, the app is brilliant, full of offers and discounts. We always end up getting upgraded pizzas, drinks, dough balls each for less than 15 quid per person

We visited this restaurant for our evening meal after a spa day. A friendly waitress called Lisa showed us to our table and did a great job of looking after us all evening. Food arrived in less than ten minutes, Lisa brought us drinks and condiments, everything was perfect and we loved the Tuna Niçoise Salad, thank you!

Came today for a date and wanted to thank both waiters (a young woman and an older man) who both made my experience very easy, food was delicious and the older man went out of his way to get me the best discount as a student, thank you for a great time 👍

A family meal at lunchtime on a Saturday. No problem getting a table. Really helpful waitress. Excellent food, drinks & desert. Leave a cash tip…the server gets it all.

Last night, I had a terrible experience at a well-known chain pizza restaurant. We waited a long time despite visible empty tables. Once seated, it took 20 minutes to get our drinks, which were warm and had dirty glasses. Our pepperoni pizza arrived an hour later, cold and undercooked with scant toppings. Our server was unresponsive, and the manager was dismissive. The restaurant was also dirty, with crumbs and trash everywhere. Overall, it was a deeply disappointing visit.

Visited Sat afternoon with family before a theatre show. A really lovely welcome & then fantastic service throughout from Vicky. She was so friendly & helped out with our various requests. We really appreciated how flexible she was & nothing was too much trouble. Pizzas were delicious & the whole meal was excellent value. Will be re-visiting again, mainly due to the fab service from Vicky!

Visited again on Saturday the 20th of April 2024. Excellent service from Niamh. Quick meal today: garlic bread then panne pasta in tomato sauce with mushrooms. Extremely tasty! Visited the restaurant on Saturday 21st October 2023. Food was delicious, the atmosphere was great and the service from Vasiliki was 100%. Peter has created a great team! Visited the restaurant on a Wednesday evening around 7 p.m.. I haven't eaten in a pizza express for several years and I was pleasantly surprised. The food was really tasty, in fact, I had the best vegan pizza ever! The service was great - a chap called Pete took our order and he couldn't have been more helpful. My advice... Definitely worth a visit! Visited again on a Sunday. Excellent service and delicious pizza. Lovely! Again on a Wednesday, served by Jen - Excellent service!

This place has a nice atmosphere. The pizza was amazing and the service was fast and the staff were quick and friendly. Recommend for pizza lovers.

Lovely staff that were super accommodating. This restaurant had a separate wheelchair accessible entrance, a toilet for disabled people and the tables are a good height for wheelchairs. The food was delicious, especially the dough balls that can be made vegan. They offer gluten free food and gluten free beer. Definitely worth it for an evening out.

Monday lunch 25.03.24 Had a lovely lunch of the duo Romana pizza with my friend. Both servers were cheerful and helpful. The lady server helped us with sorting out a bus route to a Travelodge. Nice atmosphere, pizza was delicious.

We went with my friend yesterday mid afternoon. My friend has a gluten free diet and it is a struggle to find option especially for pizza. The size of the gluten free and the filling was like a normal pizza. The food is delicious and the staff was very nice and good wine. recommandation.

Pizza Express is our go to pizza place, but this one stood out from others we have been to. Visited after the Luna New Year parade, so expected it to be busy. Place was very busy, but we were seated, drinks and pizza ordered quickly. The wait for the food and drinks was very short. The gentleman who served us, also must have served most the place as he seemed to be everywhere, yet nothing was an issue for him, he was really helpful. Love this place

We're regulars at the Pizza Express chain. Today was our first time to Manchesters King Street branch, a lunchtime out with my youngest as its half-term and were both off work/school. The King Street restaurant is spacious, clean and well designed. 10/10 for clean bathrooms. Now for the food. As per usual the dough balls were yummy, Pizza's full of flavour and plenty of toppings and the Chocolate Brownie delicious 😋 Compliments to those who made our meals. A big shout out to our servers Peter and Nina. 2 helpful, caring and friendly people who went above and beyond to make our dining experience at the King Street restaurant special. Lovely people to meet on Galentines Day. Thank you for a wonderful lunch all at King Street, Manchester. We'll definitely be back.

Had a great time at Pizza Express. The staff ((Peter and City fan Niamh) were superb and turned a potentially stressful situation into a great success. They were so friendly and fun - it really made a difference.

Fabulous experience. Great company, great food, great service and lovely staff. On arrival we were welcomed by Ian and shown to our table. Our children were made to feel very welcome too. Both Peter and Ian were very obliging and were perfectly attentive-not too much not too little. The food was delicious and atmosphere spot on. We were going to the AO arena and on asking were given perfect easy directions. On leaving the restaurant there were police manning a protest. Peter was very kind telling us to go straight over the road quickly to avoid trouble. He didn’t need to but it was very much appreciated.

Im very nervous to eat out because I have coeliac disease and many places aren't careful. I was really looked after and had a lovely meal! We were asked on arrival if we had any allergies, and I was given the menu and the allergens folder to check. Our server, the manager and the chef were all very helpful and friendly, and the food was delicious. I had Gluten Free Sloppy Giuseppe which was lovely, so I'd have it again. We needed VAT receipts for work and our server was happy to accommodate. Thank you all for looking after us, we had a really nice time :)

I was out with my sister and friend on Saturday and we were all feeling hungry so we went in to Pizza Express on King Street in Manchester. We hadn't booked a table but fortunately it wasn't an issue. The Waiters were all very nice and we didn't wait long for our Pizzas. All of us had the Padana and we shared some Dough Balls. We all enjoyed our food and would definitely go back. My sister and I have the Pizza Express App so we also got 50% off each which we split with our friend and that was a lovely bonus.

Amazing service and incredible food everytime I go! Went here for my birthday with family and I think our servers name was Jo (from the name on the receipt) and Jo was fabulous and so helpful! Nothing was too much hassle! Food was incredible and we felt so taken care of the whole time we were there. My Mum brought a cake for me that had different coloured candles on and when we asked for a slice to be boxed up for my partner to take for his little girl, Jo asked what size slice and what coloured candle to leave on the slice for her and this little touch was so lovely! She was amazing and so caring, and the food was delicious! Had an absolutely amazing time today, thank you so much!

Clearly the best Pizza Express in the city centre - truthfully the others feel like cafés. The King Street branch, situated in a former stone built bank, has an air opulence. The pizzas are pricey in comparison to other city centre Italian restaurants that are more of an experience and fashionable. Having said all of that the service was excellent, the food was tasty and the staff were worthy of full marks. We will definitely be back. Update January 2024: Still great food (pizza) in a stunning building on a beautiful street in the city centre. The service is superb.

When in Manchester my friend and I always come here for a meal. We have never been disappointed. The beautiful building, decor, food, atmosphere and staff (especially Peter and Gina on this visit) are just perfect. We loved the Nicoise Salad which is worth every penny and the service is second to none. By far the best Pizza Express around! Give it a try.

I visited here with my friend and we were so happy with the service, surroundings and food. We came mid December. Don't know if it was Peter or not but he was very welcoming and put us in the "naughty corner"🙂. The waitress was great too, sorry can't remember her name. I have Coeliac Disease so it was such a huge relief to be treated as a "normal person" and that the staff were so knowledgeable about the importance of gluten free for a coeliac and to hear that they are accredited by Coeliac UK. Thanks again so much and looking forward to visiting again asap. I live in Blackpool having moved many years ago from Manchester. Think I'll move back so I can visit you more!

Peter is absolutely brilliant and made our lunch excellent! He is so friendly and really helpful with the food and my allergies! I love Pizza Express but he made it a really lovely lunch and looked after us very well! Gluten free pizza was delicious which is hard to find in restaurants!

One of the best restaurant experiences we've had. The staff were so friendly, we came in out the rain on a Saturday with our 8month old in the pram late afternoon and was seated straight away in a perfect spot, offered a high chair and was very well looked after during our time.
