Piccolino in Manchester

Went here with family for a birthday meal, the food was lovely. Would definitely visit again.

The mashed potatoes were runny, lumpy, and bland, i also asked for the fish to be off the bone, but when it arrived it was on the bone, when i complained about this at the end apparently they show the fish before deboning it but by the time the meal came after waiting, i declined it being deboned as we just wanted to eat. Extremely disappointing! & certainly not worth the cost of £80 including the service fee.

We had an amazing lunch at Piccolino today. Highly recommended the seafood pasta and Fritto misto... the best I had in Manchester. Staff is super friendly and attentive, a big thanks to Michele and Giorgia for looking after us. You made our day guys! Will definitely be back!

Excellent restaurant for a family birthday! Perfect for 8 year olds through to 80 year year olds. Delicious food and great service. They even gave a surprise cake for my Dad’s birthday.

We had a delightful experience at Piccolino this afternoon. The staff was incredibly warm and welcoming, and our meals—steak, duck, and risotto alla caprese—were simply outstanding. The desserts, especially the tiramisu, were perfect, and the coffee was excellent. I've been a regular visitor for years, and while our last visit wasn't as memorable due to some minor issues with staff stress and request to move my electric wheelchair away from our table, today was truly wonderful. Thank you for a lovely meal!

We had a lovely evening at piccolino tonight. Our waiter Stefan was friendly and welcoming and was always on hand to ensure that we were happy with our food and drink 🍷.

Friendly large restaurant with optional tables in heated veranda. Great food, nice decor, very attentive service but overpriced winelist. We had dinner on a Monday before son’s graduation. Our shared sea food platter starter was very generous and filling, but a few too many pieces cooked in batter. Main courses of pasta and insalata were delicious and filling. Our only criticism was the wine lost which is very overpriced. We chose what looked like the lowest priced wine a Pinto Grigio which was £32.

Extremely busy, went here for Father’s Day ! I had the vegetarian pizza , was ok but nothing special and way over priced ! I doubt I would go again !

I would just like to say how amazing our experience has been multiple times at Piccolino Didsbury. The staff are so attentive and welcoming, we get the full Italian experience every single time. We enjoy nothing more than coming into the restaurant to enjoy food or a cocktail rain or shine with such amazing staff. I would particularly like to say how fabulous Walter the manager is. I have never met a restaurant manager who is more amazing!! There is nothing better than walking into a restaurant and being welcomed by such professionalism and kindness. 𝙈𝙞𝙆ele who works behind the bar is also the best bartender ever! The service here is unbelievable!! We would highly recommend! Great service and good choice of food, however I did feel it was slightly overpriced for the amount you get I.e the fries as a side order. This wouldn't bother people with disposable income but for those on more of a budget this place would only be for a treat.

Food to love is to eat, however spectacular, food made with passion and love is not found in all restaurants, there are very few who cook like this, spectacular service, I recommend 5 stars

I brought my family here and had a wonderful meal. Our waitress Frankie was lovely, attentive but not pushy. The food was top quality, in particular the chicken liver starter and D’avola pizza.The drinks came quick and were delicious - overall a great experience.

My first time in Piccolino Didsbury. We were welcomed at the reception by Giorgia and Astrida. Both of them were amazing. They gave us amazing food recommendations and paired nice vines. I definitely recommend this place. It is like a little Italy 🇮🇹 and hidden gem of Manchester.

Incredible experience! Booked this for a birthday celebration with friends and it was absolutely wonderful. A warm and welcoming atmosphere from the moment we walked in! Walter and Giorgia were absolutely fantastic and made our meal extremely special. The attention to detail from Walter was simply exceptional! To top it all off, they sang the most wonderful happy birthday song cheering and clapping and made me feel incredible. Huge thanks to them both!

We had a cosy birthday lunch at Piccolino, the service from Walter, Giorgia and the team was exceptional. I really enjoyed the carbonara and they went above and beyond to make sure my sister had an amazing birthday. The vibes were impeccable, great music and they even took note that we wanted to go half and half in certain dishes and made sure we had side plates and extra cutlery - 100% would recommend.

Alessia was very friendly and attentive, giving us recommendations while also being good fun. She is an asset to the restaurant. The food was lovely as always. Quickly becoming one of my favourite places to eat.

We came here for new year, we arrived at 9:40 our table was booked for 10:00 we didn’t mind waiting past our reservation time as we understood that they were busy however the host was so inhospitable made us feel so uncomfortable, and shouted to us and said we was in the way of another table and told us to move out of her way and I asked there’s no other place to stand and said move over to the bar area in a very rude way. She was arguing and shouting so loud that everyone around us was staring most uncomfortable experience ever ! Would never ever go here again !!!! We waited over 1.5 hours for the food only to be told the gas has stopped working for the food ! They then brought our semi cooked food which was so bad it had to be spat out ! We then had to leave the restaurants that’s how awful it was ! Our New Year’s Eve was ruined !!

Food is basic. Pizza is very thin then soggy in the middle. Calzone has a 10cm empty dough on both ends. Literally without any filling. Just bread. Service: the server(s) helping us were very nice and friendly. The manager was giving frustrated answers as if he is doing us a charity. He was acting with a negative attitude. Atmosphere: very noisy even when 50% full. This is the second time in this place and the last.

I went for a meal with my mother last night and everything was exceptional. From the moment we entered the restaurant all of the staff greeted us and were very friendly. This service upheld all evening I have no faults. In addition to this, the food was delicious as always and arrived promptly. I could not recommend this restaurant more.

The staff were very attentive and friendly. It was very busy when we went with 3 large parties going on so we thought we'd have to wait for our food but we didn't. The food was delicious even my son had 3 courses and he is usually a picky eater. Was a bit more expensive than we would normally pay but didn't mind at all as the food and service were that good. Would definitely eat there again.

Giorgia and her team hosted my 70th birthday lunch with 8 friends.They went out of their way to ensure that the meal was a leisurely affair,every course prepared and presented to a high standard.I was flattered to receive a beautiful bouquet in addition to the more traditional desert with a candle and rendition of ‘Happy Birthday’ All in all,I was made to feel very special and the experience exceeded all my expectations I would have no hesitation in recommending Piccolinos for that special occasion

Calzone was more creamy cheese than anything else, lasagne was good apart from the top was burnt, burnt cheese is not nice. The garlic bread with cheese tasted of pine disinfectant. Staff was pleasant, service was good.

Eating out is a treat, simple. Here, you are treated to warm, friendly service and beautiful, delicious food, all of which are authentic and make a dining experience which makes you feel special and very full! You are fed with the warmth and attention of a loving, Italian grandmother whose desserts are difficult to say no to! We came here as a couple on a child-free occasion today but we usually eat here as a family and the service, care and attention extended to our girls is always so lovely.

This restaurant is one of the most lovely places in Didsbury. Piccolino isn’t good only to taste new things. it’s also a comfortable place where you can hang out quietly with your friends. The staff is really kind with customers: in particular Giorgia, their General Manager, does her best for you to have a great experience. Super recommended!

I went to the restaurant to have lunch to celebrate my daughter's 19th birthday today 29th Oct, the atmosphere was lovely, the food was great and the music was perfect Michele really made us feel really welcome and paid a lot of attention to details. We will be coming back again definitely. Will certainly recommend this lovely restaurant.

Second time be Piccolino Didsbury. It is lovely restaurat. Order two sunday roast , chicken and pork belly. It is declicious and good portion of food. Reasonable price and you can have food in good environment. Staff is polite and always take care customer. It is locate at xenter of didsbury. Easy to book a table at open table app in same day Will come back again

This place will never get my custom ever again, first of all the restaurant was very quiet but it still took 30 mins to receive food. The food was very bland lacking any flavour, paid a fortune for this as well its definitely overpriced. I will never step foot back in this restaurant and will warn others to stay away too.
