Had a great family meal for a birthday celebration, food was excellent. Despite it being quite busy the service was great, they even had time to bring our birthday cake to the table and sing happy birthday!

Unfortunately this is the second time (out of three visits) that has been ruined by other guests’ bad behaviour ie screaming children encouraged by parents even when staff attempted to reduce the screaming.

Asteria was lovely.Food exceptional.Service good.Really enjoyed it.Will go again

First visit. They served our party of 22 very efficiently. As far as I am concerned both my starter and main courses were piping hot and delicious 😋

Had a fantastic meal with family and was very impressed with not only the welcome,service and food. The atmosphere was very pleasant and not overly loud. Would definitely recommend to anyone .

Superb meal and service. Garlic and chilli prawn starter was amazing, Calamari tender . Beef stroganoff superb and salmon wonderful. Could not fault any aspect of this meal. Friendly team and pleasant atmosphere all food and drinks reasonably priced too.

Attended for my birthday me and my fiance decided upon eating here due to good reviews of others. However on arrival we was told to wait until a table was available (rudely spoken too) once seated we was approached by a waiter and was spoke to like dogs (what do you want) instead of what would you like to drink. Once the drinks had been slammed on our table by the same waiter all of which was all over the table was asked what do you want to eat instead of (what would you like to eat ) Once the food had arrived 45mins later my partners pasta was flooding with oil and my pizza the same so we followed it up and they said its because you asked for double cheese but we all know when we see too much oil on our plates. Again rudely abused by staff members after all done and said we will not be re attending my opinions on the place is if you really want a nice Italian meal head somewhere else.

Been here many times the food is lovley had pizza, pasta, steak,chicken,seafood everything is cooked perfect and the sauces are proper authentic Italian flavours, my only criticism is the wine! When your having s good pasta dish or steak you want a nice bottle of wine to accompany it, we've had red and white and I would say there a £4.99 bottle from lidl at best.... I've recommended the place to a couple of friends and they also was impressed with the food but the wine let it down🫤

Visited Osteria last night, not being for a while. Very busy but Stefano, as always, came accross for a chat and took our order. Excellent customer services from all staff and food was really enjoyable. Hope to visit again in future.

8 of us ate,all different starters and mains and there wasn't one complaint about any dish, surprisingly not busy for a bank holiday,not somewhere I'd have chosen but will definitely be returning

Ten friends had a meal here. Because we all pre ordered our starters we're served at the same time as we're the main courses. Food was of a high standard and staff were friendly, efficient and attentive.

I’ve not eaten here yet but just called in unannounced on a work visit. Received a really warm welcome from a young lady called Chelsea. Really approachable and friendly. She’s a credit to the team I did see a calzone pizza being served which looked amazing so will deffo be eating here soon

Rather dismal eating area, staff attentive, food was enjoyed by our daughter and said the pizza was very good, however the other dishes of chicken, and my tricolour pizza left a lot to be desired ,as was the house Rosa wine which was awful!! I cannot be kind about it, it was undrinkable to anyone wanting a decent wine!! I can only guess the wine buyer does not drink wine very much, we left most of it after tasting,

Came for a birthday treat with my family the first time and the last time ordered drinks they came with drinks the manager came and told us they was only pizzas tonight as gas had gone down so didn’t get any other choice of food he made us feel very uncomfortable n snapped at us very rude I was so looking forward to going as well pizza was so overated for the price won’t be back again put me n my family of manager needs to sort his attitude out

Food & service was excellent, just feel they've lost the warm cosy ambience of the restaurant with too bright a lighting.

Best calzone pizza I have ever had, it was amazing and they no issue with me switching one of the fillings. My husband had a pepperoni which he said was great too. We had a lovely bottle of wine. We found room for a cheesecake desert, both amazing. The service was great made to feel very welcome and even a lovely goodbye from the staff. Really good prices too, will definitely be back soon.

Nice food, although we went in December but couldn't order from the lunch menu even though they was advertising it on the walls inside, we waited a while to be seated, but staff was nice and friendly and food arrived quickly.

Absolutely amazing!! Italian is one of my favourite meals and have tried it all over the world but I have to say this is by far one of the nicest I have ever eaten with amazing tasting food on all of the meals that was ordered. Not only amazing food but amazing staff also. 100% recommend!!

Me and my family (7 adults 3 children) came here for a family meal, we booked the function room to for us all. The staff were very friendly and on the ball with everything. The food was extremely nice, presented excellent and very large portions, the chips were fresh and tasty. All I will say is if your ordering a child's pizza it is the same size as the adult pizza which was quite large. I would definitely recommend this place to anybody.

First time here for an 80th birthday meal. 15 of us so we preordered food. Everything perfect. Food delicious and all staff friendly and ready to help with anything. Would recommend and will come here again.

We had my stepsons birthday there. Although it was good I didn't like that my wife was being rushed to place her order because they said they finished serving at 9? Oddly enough when we were leaving at 20:30 people were still arriving??? The owner seemed to care more about the private party in the function room as if our little occasion was unimportant to him and his restaurant. Won't be going back again!!!!

A colleague recommended this place as this was her favorite Italian Restaurant. Went here after shopping for a Travel System from PramLand, which is just a 5-minute walk away. We were approached by the staff and were seated immediately. I could honestly say that their Spaghetti Carbonara was to die for! Pasta and Pizza portions were really massive. Plus the staff were really kind and warm, and the atmosphere was really great. Will definitely come back here soon.

The worst ever restaurant you can go. Very unpleasant staff. Found a hair in the pizza in the middle. Stuck in the cheese. The staff tried to blame us with arrogance that we put the hair. They didn’t even apologise. However we paid for pizza because it is not about money it’s about hygiene and care about your customers. Very bad experience. Came with a baby and told us to leave the pram outside and keep the baby without pram. Please avoid this restaurant. Not recommended.

Hi .. just wanted to say a huge thanks to the lovely staff who looked after us last night .. we were a table of 11 people. The lady who served us was brilliant and thoroughly deserves to be told. I did tell her last night ( sorry I don’t have your name) . All the staff were lovely and the food was great . Will definitely come back

We decided to celebrate my Sisters birthday at Osteria Restaurant last night. We have had previous dining experience there so we knew that all the food was lovely and again it did not disappoint. The restaurant was very busy but we had a reasonable waiting time for our order. The food was of a high standard as usual and the staff were efficient and friendly. At my request, the Manager and staff sang Happy Birthday to my Sister with guitar and tambourine 😂 Lovely atmosphere, great night

We were visiting the area and this happened to be on the street where we had got lost, so popped in for lunch. Restaurant seems to be on the lower/basement area of a hotel. Inside you are transported to what seems like a holiday taverna. The brickwork is beautiful and it feels very intimate although the space and tables are well laid out and the room is airy. We were quickly shown to a table and offered to order drinks shortly after. We opted for 2 starters, Calamari Diavola and Trio Di Suppli. Followed by Pizza Nino and side of chips to share. We were blown away by the starters. Tasted like fresh ingredients. Perfectly cooked and very well balanced flavours. We could happily have eaten several more plateful of each. Portion size was above average for starters and well worth ordering. The chips were also delicious, crisp on outside and fluffy on the inside. Pizza was just as described on the menu. Tasted very fresh, packed with toppings. Only comment would have been to have had a stronger garlic flavour, but it was still very enjoyable. Waiter and waitress were attentive and not intrusive. We thoroughly enjoyed our luncheon here and would definitely recommend and return

I just popped in on a whim one weeknight as I’d seen a few people come here on social media and I thought the building looked pretty, didn’t have huge expectations for the food but oh my god. I think this was the best pesto pasta I’ve ever had? The food was absolutely unreal and despite being a large restaurant it still felt like a nice cozy atmosphere. service was great as well, I can’t wait to come back!

Chicken Kiev, 20p worth of steamed vegetables , 20p worth of potatoes and 1£ worth of Chicken breast that wast super but a bit dry for 16£ something, pizza looked like takeaway base, over all wasn't worth 60£ for two people and a child. Just my experience not trying to talk this place down, just suggest to sud down and try your own menu sometimes

We had our grandsons 30th birthday there today. Brilliant food , brilliant service. The waiter even played the guitar while we sang Happy Birthday. Highly recommended. 😊😊😊

We regularly dine at Osteria as it's our favourite place to eat. Never disappointed, always delicious well presented meals, wonderfully friendly staff and a lovely atmosphere. What more could you ask for! You can park in the adjacent Cornmill Hotel car park free for three hours (register your car reg number as you enter the restaurant). If you've not been, then you're really missing out!

Really impressed with this place. Food was absolutely delicious and good value. All the staff are really helpful, friendly and seem happy to be at work. The lovely lady that took our order, even lent our party her glasses to read the menu. She did have two pairs on, so maybe she's had to do this before. Definitely going the extra mile, with customer service. Will definitely return in the near future. It was busy but no delay in service or food coming out. Thanks for a great night. X

If I could give it 0 stars I would, waited 30 minutes for a drink and 55 minutes for a starter. We asked about this to be told it was busy and we had to just wait!!! The food arrived and was nice however the customer service from the owner was the worst I’ve ever experienced in my life. We were SHOUTED at and told we must pay the full bill or he threatened to ring the police. I am utterly disgusted by this behaviour from an owner. Not to mention plastic on the calzone which he blamed on us, absolutely mortified as a customer to be treated in this way.

The worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone, it took 20 minutes for drinks, 50 minutes for the starter and nearly an hour for the mains. When the mains came there was a plastic bristle on the calzone we ordered! The manager/owner wouldn’t do anything to try and compromise with us. He repeatedly shouted at us while spitting in our faces and told us he was going to ring the police when we told him we weren’t going to pay the full bill, he also told us there was no complaints procedure that we could go through with. On the other hand the food was nice and the other staff were really nice but the manager/owner wouldn’t let them do anything like take food orders etc.

I felt our dining experience was rushed from start to finish, the staff made it clear they only just wanted our money and get us out of the door , from bringing us the bill when we hadn’t even asked for it to clearing the table whilst we were still eating our meal , nothing like been rude ,my friend tried to order a starter aswell as a main as the waiter took our order he mutters something the waiter took the menu off us not allowing him to place that starter order , the staff waitresses constant pacing around your table made us uncomfortable , let people eat their meals in peace if a customer needs you they will ask other then that leave the customers to enjoy there meal with friends , overall I found it rude and unprofessional, no people skills atall sage to say my group won’t be coming back
