Amazing food, friendly helpful staff and we really enjoyed ourselves ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The food was beautiful and sooo would be here all the time if local, a great little find and highly recommended

I’ve been this cafe twice now and every time I have been I have been amazed. The food is out of the world and so affordable. The staff are so polite, welcoming and so patient. I will be returning again and will be recommending to family and friends.

Having continuously rang the number as advertised on Google to book as advised when buying the Groupon voucher, we tried to book for 2 weeks before visit but we had no answer. We went to the cafe on the day we visited Liverpool, we asked for a table for 2. They asked if we had a booking & if it was groupon to which I replied no to the booking but yes to Groupon. I was about to try and explain we had tried the number had no answer but we were cut dead by a man, possibly the chef who just said NO...and that was it. Although there were tables free I appreciate they were possibly booked but sadly the rudeness off the chef was an absolute let down having read good things about here. Don't do Groupon if you just want fully paying customers 🙄

Lovely traditional carbonara, loads of flavour, service could have been better but I'd visit again. Personal thought the radio was a little loud for the space

Fantastic little place. We got a Groupon deal which was amazing value.even without it still good value. You go up stairs and it's next to a hairdressers. Food was delicious and the staff lovely. Also had a lovely red wine. Will definitely go back next time in Liverpool

Cafe Latino is a lovely eatery tucked away through a doorway then upstairs and well worth seeking out. I cannot fault anything .... the food is excellent and really has that genuine Italian taste. There is a special daily deal (pasta / pizza and a glass of wine or bottle of beer) for £10 or three courses for £15. The staff are super friendly and the service is fab. Note: it's closed on Sunday and Monday. Will be making this our regular Italian in Liverpool.

We traveled by train (2’30”)from London to Liverpool to take a Private 3-Hour Guided Beatles Classic Tour of Liverpool. At first I thought we were crazy to to travel the distance but it was worth every second and even more. Our guide, Peter was the best- He had extensive knowledge of the city and made the Beatles’ story come alive. He even explained the origin of the name. We saw all of their birthplaces, where the lived, the place they met and where they played as pearly lads. We went to Penny Lane and Strawberry Fields . AT the end of the tour I had a good sense of the history of Liverpool, the importance of the Beatles to the city and the importance of the city to the Beatles. I just can’t say enough about How great PETER was… A definite recommendation on your next trip to UK.

Nice environment. Airy, clean, staff friendly. Deal was very good value. All the food was cooked freshly to order by a chef who knows his trade. Reasonable portion sizes. Good choice of desserts and what we had was delicious. As a lunch we only had soft drinks and they were reasonably priced

This cafe is absolutely amazing if you are looking for an Italian meal. Food is incredible never had any problems and staff are very nice. I really recommend trying out this cafe as it is the nicest Italian I have ever tried. It never disappoints. It is hidden in the middle of bold street and is honestly worth trying.

I bought a Groupon for a 3 course meal for 4. We weren't disappointed, the food was really good. Two of us had pizza and two pasta, all meals were tasty and starters and desserts too! We would revisit and pay full price for the food. Groupon was a good was to notice a place that otherwise is hard to spot, upstairs at the bottom of Bold Street. We enjoyed a window table, good for people watching.

Great food ,good variety of pasta and pizza ,we both had pasta dishes really good ,very good value for money had nice beer with my food and good choice of cakes .

I purchased via groupon but I didn’t know I had to prebook. Chef was ok about this and said it was ok . Food and drinks arrived right away and the service was supper quick considering he was working solo. All food and drinks was gorgeous and my son loved everything and cleared all plates . Going back as soon as I’m next in bold street

I used a Groupon voucher for my visit. We often use Groupon vouchers during our trips. When I received the voucher, it stated that we could order a starter, main course, and dessert. However, at the restaurant, they informed us that the main course options were limited, and we could only choose certain dishes at a fixed price. If we selected a dish with a higher price, we would need to pay the difference. The issue is that they sold a £50 menu to us at a discounted price of £28, but did not mention that the main course would be restricted. Additionally, the service and atmosphere did not meet my expectations. When we asked the server for cheese for our spaghetti, she added it herself and then took the cheese away.🤦🏻

Seems like this place relies on Groupon vouchers for a reason - staff were rude and condescending and the tables/ menus were sticky. The food was okay but it was cold, the service was poor though with our food being practically banged on the table with no words or anything.

Shocked and surprised by some of the comments, as we had a completely different experience. Excellent deal on Groupon, me and my partner gave this place a visit on 28 May for our evening meal during our trip to Liverpool. When we entered we were met by a friendly, attentive server. We intentionally booked for an early meal, as we realised at these prices , places will be busy later on in the evening (perhaps a useful tip for people expecting super quick service in a small restaurant that is staffed by two people?). Food was excellent quality, unbelievably good for what we paid. Restaurant was clean, ingredients were fresh and we had absolutely no issues booking or being served. When we purchased this through Groupon, it gave clear instructions on how to use the voucher, a very straightforward process that is impossible to get wrong. If you are looking for a 5 star experience with luxury and a personal server, you will need to go elsewhere and spend a fortune. If you want good quality food at an excellent price with friendly and attentive staff, this is the place for you. We will certainly be back to visit.

Turned up for a pre booked meal, only to told no bookings had been taken. Very rudely called my wife a liar over the booking. Disgraceful.

On our 1st wedding anniversary stay in liverpool we decided to book a groupon here to finish a lovely stay. Unfortunately we arrived here to be told at 4.30 the time of our reservation that they were closing and they made me out as a liar saying they had no booking when I had phoned 2 weeks before to book and also messaged to confirm. I'm really disappointed with this place. Luckily, we were staying in an apartment, so a tesco meal deal helped but really shouldn't have to cook. It's totally disgusting, Just be aware!!!!

The food is tasty but the staff could be a little more attentive as we waited for some to get more drinks and desserts ordered, even though it wasn’t very busy. There’s a great deal on groupon but you’re given a very small portion when using the voucher.

Had a superb meal with the family. Food absolutely delicious and very reasonably priced. The owner was so friendly, as were all the staff. We’d come all the time if we didn’t live so far away. Thank you so much.

My friend and I always go to Café Latino before the theatre. The food is good and always cooked to order, not warmed up in a microwave and the staff are really friendly.

Food was okay staff are very rude and don’t go there if u black staff where nice to every other customer but we’re rude to me and my friends because we are black

we have been going for few years and the female that work there have always welcomed us especially the young blond one but we have found last few time the food has changed and not had much flavour and the gentleman that works there is not very pleasant and could do with enjoying his job unfortunately we will not be going again

One of the best pasta meals I have ever eaten, would happily recommend it to anyone. My wife, daughter and myself had three meals off the menu and we all enjoyed our meals.

This unassuming door on bold street Liverpool directly opposite the side entrance to central train station…. Holds a gem to eat in. We had proper home made pizzas and were blown away with this home cooked plate of gorgeousness.

Been here a few times now and it's always fabulous, great food, great wine and great service. The girls serving are brilliant, incredibly efficient and friendly and an absolute credit to 'Cafe Latino' ❤️

We recently visited on a Groupon deal purchased by family. Keep in mind that the offer has a limited selection unless you pay a supplement for pizza or pasta. The café is basic but the service is excellent and food was delicious, very fresh and piping hot. It is not fancy but very very good. It was very cold and I had my coat and discovered when we left another customer had left the front entrance door open. We would recommend.

Dined using the Groupon deal for 3 courses. We weren't expecting a lot given the price and the fact the restaurant shares its space with a hairdressers but we were wrong. The food was lovely, really authentic and you can see the chef make the food right in front of you. Hearty portion size and great staff. We have recommended it to our friends and family and will definitely be returning!

Everything about Cafe Latino is fabulous, if you haven't visited yet, then you must asap.

Went back for the first time in years,we had seafood pasta and a pizza both excellent, service brilliant the waitress helped us order in a way as to take advantage of the deals they had on,nice chat with the owner. Disregard bad reviews they seem mainly from people who didn't understand the covid restrictions or know how to use a voucher .

So We actually got this in a Groupon.. the food here is home cooked authentic Italian food ! We got a pasta dish each and a pizza to share .. the base of the pizza was paper thin( just how pizza should be ).. the pasta was packed full of flavour .. my wife got the creamy chicken and I opted for tomato based .. cooked by a real italian .. mama Mia exceptional.. the staff and service was fantastic .. cannot do more for you .. pleasant and friendly.. would definitely come back even without Groupon

I wish I’d taken a photo of my food but I was starving! I got the garlic chicken wrap which was absolutely incredible. So tasty and absolutely massive 😍 Served by Nicole and Jenny who are absolutely lovely. A little hidden gem that I cannot recommend enough.

Decided to explore something new today whilst out in Liverpool rather than going to one of the usual cafes like Cafe Nero, Costa etc. So thought would go for somewhere unique and spotted this cafe hidden away on Bold St. We got up the stairs to the cafe and waited at the entrance because it said we needed to sanitise as we did. So we waited for a while assuming we’d be seated but since the waitress looked at us and didn’t say anything we thought we could just take a seat. As soon as I went to place my bag down the person stood at the tills aggressively shouted “Excuse me??, have you not booked???” Infront of a lot of people. So I replied with “no, sorry I wasn’t aware.” And she got just really annoyed at us who are fairly young so it’s probably the usual reaction that people have to young people. She responded by saying “yes it says you need to book. Just take a seat anyway it doesn’t matter.” But it just didn’t make sense to us and we already felt pretty uncomfortable that the first interaction we had with the waitress was just negative and aggressive for no reason when it could’ve been dealt with in a much more calm way. So we just ended up leaving since there’s no way we’re staying if someone like that is going to serve us. So I looked around at every sign we passed a long the way on the way out and not a single one mentions anything about booking. So when I went online I looked at this Google review page and one of the questions and answers were about booking and it states that you’ve never needed to book. Bizarre. Don’t get me wrong the food looked nice, the prices looked decent but if that’s the service then its doing it injustice.

We were passing by and the menu caught our attention so we decided to give it a try. We we’re very welcomed by the staff which served us extremely fast. We had four menus with drinks included two of us had pizza which was homemade and the other two had pasta which was average. The facilities were clean and the vibe it was nice.

Early evening dinner on a Groupon deal. Garlic bread starters and Pizza mains were freshly made , generous portions were excellent quality. Pasta choices of adjacent diners looked delicious and the portions were very generous. I couldn’t manage a dessert , but my girlfriend’s choice of cake was very tasty. There are numerous eating establishments in the area but you won’t go wrong if you choose Cafe Latino .

The Pizza’s & Pasta Were Awesome Absolutely Delicious & Great Portion Sizes , We Had A Couple of Vouchers But The Prices Were Very Reasonable, for The Food and Also The Wine , Enzo the Chef I Hope I’ve got your name Right Was Totally Delightful Such a Nice Man & All The Girls Who Work There Are A Fantastic Crowd So Friendly We Had A Fabulous Time Food Wine & Fabulous Five Star Staff! When I’m Back In Liverpool I’ll Definitely Be Returning to This Jewel in Liverpool’s Crown ….

Friendly service and some great tasty food. Easy to miss as it's upstairs so you can't actually see the place if you miss the sign telling you to go upstairs.

Excellent food. Real authentic Italian food. Breakfast is really good. Zara is so friendly who served us and the chef from Turing in Italy is also a Gentleman. Please check it out if in Liverpool. 👍

Lovely place situated above another business. I used a Groupon deal for 2 lunches. They were amazing!!! Mum got garlic mushroom pizza and I got caramelised onion, goats cheese and pepper pizza. The base of pizza was so thin and crispy. Lovely service too and not to pricey at all

Great little family run Italian café. Been going for years, sometimes it's full of Italian ex-pats so the food must be good....very, very reasonable prices.

I've been going here for about 25 years and they serve alcohol now. You're guaranteed a lovely meal. Highly recommend if you're anywhere near Bold Street.
