Casa Italia had been recommended to us as a must and we were not disappointed. We had expected to queue as it was a Friday evening, (20 minutes) but the restaurant was definitely worth the wait. It was everything we had wished. Great food, a great atmosphere and excellent service. A big thank you to Callum whose service was excellent. Friendly and attentive even though the restaurant was very busy. We will definitely return when we are next in Liverpool

Such friendly & attentive staff, even when they are so busy, which is usually most of the time, but that just reflects on how amazing the staff are. We live in York, but whenever we visit Liverpool, we always pay a visit here. Definitely 5* everytime 😊

Friendly staff very attentive. My daughter knocked her drink over they were straight on it cleared up no fuss brought her a new drink free of charge I thought was nice. Lasagne and carbonara were unreal. Was busy but food was super quick. I would suggest a bit of background music but other than that which is picky at the highest level it was lovely and I would highly recommend. We will be going back 100%

Great place to eat. Feels casual but still excellent service and really tasty food.

Myself and my friend only ate a third of our meal. It didn't have a lot of sauce to it, therefore, it was very dry.

The casa is just wonderful food and a roaring atmosphere. The garlic bread (without cheese)is like a party in your mouth with all of the flavours combined. The lasagne hands down best in the city italian style so tender and flavoursome.

My vegetarian lasagne had a lot of microwaved sauce

The main menu is not too special and little bit salty, portion sizes is bit smaller than I expected. However, the desserts are definitely fantastic. We ordered a pistachio Gelato that is full of pistachio favours! The apple crumble is small portion and the tiramisu is outstanding and creamy. Will come again but just for the desserts. On the other hand, the service is great and all the staff are very nice and friendly.

A great family meal with hearty Italian food! I was grateful for booking after walking past the queue outside on a Saturday! Definitely book!

Like many was attracted by the queue outside…feel suckered in now. Not impressed. And to call yourself House of Italy - my pizza was definitely not Italian. Not baked in a traditional pizza oven. A high quality shop bought one at best. Staff were great no complaints there and I wish them well.

I was served by a very disgusted boy! When he took my order he rushed me! In addition to the food and drink menu, there is a cake menu at each table and also a few drinks (from there I wanted to order) but he said no and put the big menu in front of me, pointing to where the drinks were! When he brought me the bottle of juice and next to it he put the glass with ice and threw the straw in! The food was good!

A unique Italian restaurant in Liverpool. I had lunch in the restaurant and it was not completely crowded, but it is usually difficult to sit directly and you have to wait. The atmosphere of the restaurant is wonderful, and the seating, lighting and design give you a feeling and impression of warmth, comfort and calm 🙏🏼 I tried the Focaccia Toscana, which is the usual garlic bread with cheese in a light pizza style, and it was less than average. Not worth ordering. We also ordered French fries with truffles and they were normal. ⛔️ We were going to order lasagna but the waiter told us it was not halal. We took the oven baked pasta, which is called Lumaconi Pollo Al Furno, which is shell pasta with bechamel sauce, mozzarella, and chicken. And it was very good. It is one of the best “halal” options. We ordered a pepperoni pizza called Calabrese and when it arrived the waitress told us that it was not halal (the waiter who took the order did not tell us that). So I suggested changing it to a margarita and it arrived very quickly without delay. The margarita was good. In general, the service was very good from the staff. It is important to pay attention to the issue of halal and haram in the dishes. ⚠️ In general, the experience is very nice and an excellent and unique Italian option in Liverpool 🇮🇹❤️

Food was amazing so tasty and you can tell its homemade, friendly staff, only downside is we had to queue outside for about 20 mins for a table as you can't book a table unless it's 6 or more ppl

After reading the reviews and thinking this was going to be amazing, it was average. I had the lasagne and it had more meat and cheese and hardly any pasta in it and also slightly salty. The pizza my dad had was also average and slightly burnt. It was also too noisy for a Thursday evening as they turn the music loud and everyone has to shout over it. Think I will explore other options in Liverpool.

The food here is very good. The only downside is the chaos of getting in. I was made to feel that I was a nuisance because I didn't understand the system of entry. There was a queue outside and woe betide you if you don't wait to be called in when you reach the front of the queue! A very grumpy doorman/waiter. That being said the food made up for it and we had a tasty leisurely 3 course meal with wine for a reasonable price.

Came here with high expectations after reading reviews and there always being a queue outside. Food was good but certainly not the nicest Italian we've been to and we definitely wouldn't queue to get in again. We had dough balls to start which were amazing but the lasagne was pretty average. We asked for a cheesy garlic bread to go with our lasagnes but this arrived with the starter and was unfortunately cold by the time our lasagnes came out.

Always walked past and wondered what the fuss is. Finally went with friends and I totally get why this place always has a queue out the door! There was four of us and we had no problems being seated quickly. Reasonably priced, we got 2 bottles of wine (1 litre each) and a main each and the bill was under £100. Service was exceptional, thanks to Matteo for being absolutely sound. Food was definitely worth coming for, came quickly and was clearly made fresh that day. If you're looking for reliable Italian food and a friendly environment look no further!

Very nice authentic Italian restaurant. Food was brilliant, both the pizzas and pastas and the service was very good. Couldn't book online so just walked up and got a table straightaway.

Have probably frequented this restaurant over 200 times since the 70's and have always marvelled at its consistent high quality, atmosphere and value for money. Not any more, yes the quality is still spot on but the portion sizes have diminished and the prices have rocketed. Not value anymore you have become too greedy. I have always queued up with pleasure but last 3 visits within the last month have walked in. That says it all.

I've been going to this restaurant since I met my wife, over 25 years ago. I've never had a bad meal here and our kids have grown up with this place. It's now our family favourite, where we're all happy to eat. Always great food, great atmosphere and reasonable prices.

Wow, just wow. I read about this place in the local paper and when I mentioned it to a few people, they all seemed to know about it and some had been. I knew then I was in for a treat and I was right. I love Italian food and eating in this place felt like authentic Italy. The food was outstanding and very reasonably priced too. I was told there is normally a queue to get in and that’s correct but it’s worth the wait. It took about 35 minutes to get in and when we left the queue was just as long as when we started queuing. That gives you an idea of how popular the place is. Food = outstanding. Service = outstanding. All at a decent price… I will definitely be back and I can’t wait.

We bring groups of 30+ here approximately 5-6 times per year and the food and service (from Davide) are excellent. High quality, piping hot and large portions. Highly recommend.

I've been regularly visiting this restaurant since 1982 and have always had excellent food. Restaurant is always busy giving it a good atmosphere. Service is quick and food reasonably priced. An Italian restaurant hard to beat.

High expectations went down hill very fast. I had the oven baked lasagna and it was the plainest blandest lasagna I have ever had. No flavour and has left me feeling ill for the last couple of hours. Don’t recommend at all.

Very long established Italian restaurant. Food is excellent and the place gets very busy. It is a large restaurant on two floors but you may well have to wait for a table. You can only book a table for 6 or more so be prepared to wait at peak times.

Casa Italia offers absolutely delicious food, with an incredibly friendly and supportive staff. I will definitely be coming back again. Their menu is fantastic, and I love how they allow you to customize your order.

Excellent authentic Italian food in Liverpool.

Delicious food however prices have inceased considerably. My previous review used to say prices were reasobable - not any more sadly.

Very crowded and noisy, not all the food is halal you should know that, the service is bad I received a different order than mine and a bill that wasn't mine

The food was lovely and well priced. The service was excellent from the minute we walked in until the minute we left. It was a great experience and my only regret was that I didn't leave a tip, which wasn't asked for on the cash machine and I didn't have any cash.

I recently dined at Casa Italia, and it was a delightful experience. The Carbonara was simply exquisite, perfectly creamy and rich with flavor. For dessert, the Tiramisu was a standout – light, indulgent, and the perfect sweet ending to a wonderful meal. If you're a fan of authentic Italian cuisine, this place is a must-visit!

The large portion managed to fill up my brother in law, we all enjoyed a great meal, had a variety of the baked pastas between us all good. Staff were friendly and attentive.

Very nice food, but really strange the way the lasagne didn't have any pasta in it. Had to add a spoon full on my wife's pasta to give it some texture. Everything else was spot on.

Visited Casa Italia on Thursday for dinner with my daughter but I am sad to say the standard of the food has gone downhill. I have visited this place many times over the last 25 years and first time I have left disappointed. Vegetarian Lasagna the sauce was too salty and even though it arrived bubbling the top middle part of it was barely warm. The garlic bread used to be rolled thin with amazing garlic taste from the butter but when I recieved mine the dough is far too thick and slightly doughy and the garlic in the butter had slightly burnt so it was bitter in flavour. My daughter had the spaghetti bolognese and enjoyed that so the meal was not a total disaster. Would I visit again .... sadly no but I will remember the many times I went there and had first class food. Gave it 3 stars for the service and atmosphere. Food was barely 2 stars. Few other points is the accessibility for disabled people with mobility issues and the toilets are not great. The doors to the mens loo are sticky with god knows what on them. I used tissues on the handles and when touching the doors. The toilets need a major overhaul. Hopefully the management read this review and look at improving things.

The food did not live up to expectations. Pizza with too thick base, and too much filling. The pasta was down four a lot of sauce, so that the Pasta disappeared.

After a 40 minute wait (because you can't book), we received mediocre food. Fair enough, but the service was awful. The waiter was so rude, yet all the others around were lovely. 40 minute wait to get in, then 4 seconds after we sat down (and were thrown through menus) we were being asked to order.

I haven't been to a more authentic Italian restaurant outside of Italy. The food was spectacular. I have visited twice in two weeks. The atmosphere is superb, and the staff are great! Can't wait to get back. You have to try the Cannoli!!! UPDATE: 4th visit, and it just gets better. The atmosphere was fantastic and the food was even better! Back next week for more...

Unfortunately the praise given to Casi italia, l can't believe its not true to life as the food is very bland but very large portions laden with cheese. The vegetarian option of lasagne was verging on inedible, called the waiter to complain which was greeted with a shoulder shrug. Didn't continue with the complaint due to being with a large group. Looking at the dishes left virtual untouched by out party, we didn't rate the food very well.

All I can say is AUTHENTICITY! Don't worry if you can't afford to go to Italy, just book a table here
