Great food great service & great price

When yesterday ,so disappointed that they added service charge to our bill ,we always tip very well ,but feel it's unnecessary and tacty to add service charge, wouldn't go again food was better the first time we went ,don't get the mushrooms starter it's awful sorry but for 63 quid not worth it

Food was lovely fresh and yummy. Service was slow at times especially busier it got due to only having two members of staff

I felt like an Italian meal for weeks, passed Franco's on the way to Wickes one day & thought, I'll try that! I was not disappointed! Went on my own on Thursday 5pm. Had large glass of red wine, the Lasagne and home cut chips (fries are an alternative). This was just perfect! Chips too! Last time I had such nice chips was at The Captain's table in Abu Dhabi! Had sticky toffee pud with mint & vanilla ice cream after, all washed down with an Irish Coffee. Aaahhh. And the bill only came to £30! The only downside was I then had only 4 minutes to run to the train station, with a back pack, and a full belly :) Made it! Thank you Franco's, lovely experience. Staff too, especially!

Nothing special just a bog standard Italian restaurant very bland pasta and a half decent pizza

Shame to say disappointed with Calzone. No tomato sauce with delivery and filling was scant, bland and tbh not thoroughly cooked.... Grated cheese within not melted.

Unfortunately we did not enjoy this order - carbonara was like someone had dropped a tub off oregano in it and ordered a kids chicken and ham pizza for chicken to be spicy chicken no good for the child it was intended for , chips where greasy and no flavour - only the chicken nuggets where nice

Just visited tonight for my sons 23rd birthday. I ate asparagus chicken pollo which was 10/10. I have never tasted a chicken dish as good. My family had meatballs,garlic bread and chicken al forno. All 9/10. Definitely be visiting again, very nice. A+++.

Booked and told I’m gluten free. No problem they said Arrived at 2pm on Fathers Day 2024 no cups to make a latte, was told I had limited choice on the menu. They said I can have any pizza gluten free. I chose and it arrived cold in the middle. When it was reheated and served to me it was a pre bought pizza base. Not made in the restaurant at all. It was vile and left. I asked for a gluten free desert menu. There was none. So I sat while the rest of my party ate My pizza was taken off the bill but DON’T SAY YOU CATER FOR GLUTEN FREE WHEN YOU OBVIOUSLY DO NOT

Serving staff were lovely, the steak and pasta were not really for us, and the Nutella cheese cake, although looks fab, is just a mild chocolate flavour, no Nutella flavour, but the pizzas looked amazing, so will be going back to try those 😊

Thought it would be more italian . Didn't even get to cut my own pizza and no n'duja which was disappointing. 19 March 2024 update: Service was fast and polite, didn't check up on ya. Food was warm not piping hot. Can't order from full menu unless it's between 5-7pm opens 4 shuts 9pm. Was limited to pizza and pasta and there was no meatball pasta either so quite limited. No one hear atmosphere is none. Clean though and presentable. Until next time

We've been 6 times now,we can't fault food or service. Our daughter has a peanut allergy, she's only comfortable here ,staff explain all ingredients and make her feel at ease . Had an amazing meal this evening with my parents, who will be coming back .

Absolutely delicious very reasonably priced. Garlic bread with cheese is the best. 11 of us visited and all came away stuffed. Staff amazing thank you guys.

Beautiful food served in a relaxed atmosphere. Sadly deducted stars for switching coffee machine to a deep clean almost 1 hr before closing ,plenty of tables still dining. Slow to clear 1 table and serving main course causing heated conversations and a tense atmosphere . Last thing missing toilet seat ! Hopefully mended should we decide to return Thank you guys

Yeah the food was amazing !!! But the way it was transported was disgusting The pizza was upside down and squashed in one corner and the lasagna lid had come off and was all over the bag !!!

Not what I was expecting, the pizza was just a big standard kebab shop style, certainly not worth the £11.99 I paid, was worth about £3.99, plus the toppings where segregated into sections, not all together, clearly the ‘chef’ isn’t Italian in the slightest, more like a YouTube ‘how to make an Italian pizza series’ kind of new comer, certainly not worth the money. Food was lovely, friendly service. Just didn't like the optional service charge of 10%, well its not optional if you don't know about it till you've paid. This shouldn't be added if you've not asked the customer or the customer hasn't instructed you to add a tip.

Nice but could be improved with simple things like evenly distribute the toppings on the pizza. Mushrooms was all on one slice. Calamari was bit over cooked. Toast was more like bread. Would try again to see if improved on simple touches as good flavours.

We came here as a group of six before the races and everything was excellent. The food, the cocktails and mostly the lovely staff who I didn’t get the names of but were so friendly. We all cannot wait to go back and are going to be visiting regularly now. Thanks so much Francos, it was lovely to visit somewhere with fresh food, modern decor and amazing staff.

Had a meal tonight with family, first time visiting and was really impressed with the food, ambience and service. Would definitely recommend and we will go again. Lovely friendly blonde waitress and nothing was too much trouble. Be warned the starters were huge and we couldn't finish our mains. 😂

Large party visit on Saturday night of 10 people. The smell that hits you once you walk in is like being wrapped in a comforting blanket, you know what's coming and it'll be full of garlicky goodness. We had a wide range of fussy eaters with us who had everything possible done to ensure their evening went well, so well in fact that there wasn't a single complaint from any of them which is genuinely a first. Menu choice is varied, portion size was generous and the food was piping hot and most importantly absolutely delicious. Staff and ambience were also top notch and the live singer was exceptional. Return visits will be made.

We had my daughters 18th here and the staff were absolutely amazing! There was 16 of us all together and everything was perfect! Can’t thank the staff enough especially the waitress who looked after us all :) And the food was spot on. Definitely recommend

35 years we had our wedding reception here at this venue, yes things have changed but it was wonderful to visit with some of our beautiful family to celebrate our special day xx

Been to Francos twice now and both times was excellent. Great friendly service and nothing too much bother for them. The food is very tasty and great portion sized. The prices are reasonable too. They also serve really good selection of cocktails that are lovely. On the Saturday evening there was a live singer and she was amazing. Was such a nice atmosphere. Make sure you book a table in advanced as its only small and gets busy quickly.

Update your opening times on google. Wasted journey.

Ordered a steak with fries which was one of the worse I had, it has no taste at all including the fries I think a frozen bag of fries form Asda taste better then them fries I had. The staff are friendly environment it’s nice but the food not so great. Second time I have been here and still disappointed. I do not recommend👎

This restaurant is much improved from when I ate there two years ago. It hadn't long opened and I gave it a terrible review. The food was bland, the service was atrocious and the staff were clueless. I'm now happy to delete that review because there's no comparison between what I experienced two years ago and that I experienced last night. The food was nice with generous portions and nicely presented. The staff were amiable and on top of their game. All in all, a pleasant experience but watch out for the service charge they add to your bill. Tipping is voluntary. We paid it because we were happy enough to do so but not happy that it had been added to our bill without the words discretionary.

If I could give Francos six stars I would food was excellent lasagne was amazing even better they serve Madri which is my favourite beer forget going to any city centre Italian Restaurant get yourself to Francos for a great Italian experience.

Food was absolutely amazing!! And as were the staff. They were very busy but took fantastic care of us, great wine & cocktails too! Will definitely be back!

I have food poisoning, feel horrific. So sad as I’ve been really wanting to try here but won’t be again. Just hoping it’s a one off as really does seem like a lovely place I just won’t chance trying again I am certain it came from here as I’d had nothing else to eat due to being busy all day

We went for a 60th Birthday. There were two staff on who were great. We had ordered prior to going as we were a big group. But the staff and chef catered for our extra starters and garlic bread. The staff were very busy but made it work and nothing was too much trouble for them. The tempura prawns were delicious and absolutely huge. The garlic bread with cheese was great and all the kids loved it. I had the chicken primavera, having never had it before it came in a big bowl and a very tasty creamy sauce. I will definitely be going back. Thanks to the staff at Franco's for making our night so special. ⭐⭐

What staff ..they blew us away, genuine from start to finish. We were competing at the racecourse and decided to eat out - it couldn't have been any better Party of 3 , 1 coeliac and 1 gluten free they checked everything and the food was delicious Lots of large parties in celebrating bit the staff (only 2) remained calm and in control ...we will return next year when competing again

Visited last week. Only just noticed the bill 10% tip added automatically. Very disappointed as didnt notice and we left additional tip.

Food was good but service was slow due to not having enough staff available to run the bar, take orders and serve food. Shame as only reason not rated higher

Absolutely exceptional. This isnthe best Italian food I have eaten outside of Italy. Staff were amazing and food out of this world. Thankyou for an unforgettable meal, I would happily travel back here again and again just for the food.

Can’t get through to talk to them in the phone. I am gluten free I ordered a pizza was told it was gluten free but it came it was normal bread base. Rang up they said it was a mix up and refund me but I never got my money back.

Shocking the way we were treated over the fact I am gluten free. Owner dealt with it well the first time despite me being served a wheat infested pizza and the waitress not caring at all or understanding. Gave them another chance and the waitress was absolutely vile. "This pizza is cold" we said and her answer was "I've just watched the chef take it out the oven!" Honestly. Once again we messaged the owner only this time he ignored us. Anyway told all our mates.

Francos Italian , Came here on Mother’s Day was so lovely the staff where very friendly and attentive. We had starters and mains all of which were very flavourful and a good selection of red wines . Looking forward to our next visit !

We booked a table at 4.30, so there wasnt many people in the restaurant. We waited around 50 mins for the food to arrive but when it did, the food was lovely.

It was my wife and her work colleague who ate here last night .When she returned home she just said that what she had eaten was the best meal out ever, from the garlic bread starter , she usually won't eat anything like that , to the spag bol , tiramisu and cocktail drink , defo top nosh and cannot wait to go back. It was quite busy for a Monday night , the staff were so nice and friendly she could not fault a thing

Had pizzas here with some nice beers on draught! Recommend for lunch or a nice evening meal. Reasonably priced too

Lovely restaurant, very clean. Food very good. We sat in the booth which is quite an awkward seating area, if someone sitting at the back needs to get out at least 3 of you have to move out, then wait for them to return before you return to your seats. Plus the food had to be passed along by us as waiter unable to reach . Mike was very friendly and helpful alas this could not be said about the waitress. We were presented with our bill and paid it before one of our party realised that our deposit hadn't been taken off the bill, this didn't sit well with us as everything in this restaurant is on a computer, the error was rectified.

Charlotte was absolutely fantastic and very welcoming even though the restaurant was empty early evening, she made us just feel very happy to be there d amazing and also Mike was very accommodating to / yes two great staff you have very big asset to your company restaurant food was excellent Defi go again Gary & Rhon

1st time I’ve been since it was reopened as Franco’s, and 1st time I’ve dined out since the pandemic. Upon arrival we were greeted & promptly shown to our table (I was with my wife & 2 friends visiting from Birmingham) and soon asked if we wanted a drink while we pondered over the menu. After choosing our meals (I had spaghetti carbonara, wife had lasagna & my friends had the calzone & pasta al forno, we also shared 2 lots of hand cooked chips) we didn’t wait long before they were served. We all commented that the food portions were good & the taste was outstanding. The prices for the dishes & drinks were fine too. Needless to say that we can thoroughly recommend this place & will be back soon.

Food always good and good value. Staff very friendly and try hard but could do with being a little more attentive. Had to ask several times for the same thing and if wanted a drink had to call over no one came and asked if we were ok for drinks. But I feel everyone trying hard and think some of the guys were new. It's a pleasant atmosphere.
