Nice place to eat,price very reusable, staff friendly.

I've visited L'Olivetto twice recently, and it has quickly become one of my favourite spots. The service is excellent, and the atmosphere inside is warm and inviting. The food is absolutely amazing, and the drink selection complements it perfectly. On our last visit, which was on a Wednesday night, we were pleasantly surprised to find they had a fantastic offer on their wine—such a great deal. Highly recommend a visit!

Such amazing food, with great friendly service and drinks and great for gluten free options as a coeliac diner! Definitely recommend this small family run business, they care about what they do and it shows, everything’s delicious and served with a smile.

I frequently walk past L'Olivetto however I have never thought to call in. I visited for the first time this week and I was very impressed with the quality of food served. When I arrived, I was given the option of ordering the lunch menu or the main menu. I ordered the tagliatelle bolognese from the main menu was I was very impressed with. The meal was delicious and it was presented wonderfully. I also decided to order the tirimisu for dessert which was absolutely lovely. I was also really impressed with how the staff ensured to pay attention to every little detail. I was greeted straight away by a server and when I ordered my food, I was asked if I had any allergies that the kitchen needed to be aware of. I didn't need to wait too long for my food and the whole restaurant was aesthetically decorated. The value for money was really good; I paid £15 for the tagliatelle and £6.50 for the dessert, which considering the quality of food served, did not feel too expensive. Overall, I would highly definitely recommend paying a visit to this restaurant if you are in the Mossley Hill area.

We came on Sunday evening to celebrate my son running the marathon. Eight adults and one child the food was amazing and the staff were just fabulous my child is very quiet and only has his food a certain way the staff went above and beyond to make him feel comfortable they where fabulous we have been before and will definitely go again

Went here with my 75 year old mum and 2 kids aged 9 and 6. We were treated really well. Nothing was too much trouble. Service was absolutely on point. My mum who is a fussy eater had bruschetta to start and loved it. Followed by the chicken cacciatore. Again it was flawless. I had the calamari to start and the prawn pasta for the main. The calamari was amazing just enough crunch and no chewiness. Ailoi was beautiful. The prawn dish was amongst the best I have ever had. The sauce it came in was outstanding- I could have ordered a jug of it.Amazing. Prawns were perfection and the spaghetti was exactly how you would want. They clearly cook from fresh here. My two kids- one had nuggets the other the bolognese. He loved his nuggets the bolognese was immense. My daughter loved it but fortunately could not finish the portion so I helped her and have to say it was full of flavour and will be my next go to when I return. None of us could manage a dessert but will next time. Chris the chef came to our table and we grilled him about the dishes and he is clearly passionate about what he does and a master of his craft. Its great to speak to the people who create the dishes- we felt spoilt to say the least. If there is a better Italian in Liverpool I would be amazed. Great menu, great staff, great experience. The only problem is where to take them next as its not going to live up to this! We live locally and spoilt to have a venue like this in our neighbourhood. I can't recommend it more. An easy five out of five. Thanks again we can't wait to return.

Called in for lunch as I had just moved into the area, my partner and I were trying the many local eateries to get a feeling for the area. We sat at a window table which was nice the very nice ladies serving took our order and made some very welcomed suggestions I ordered the Caesar salad and my partner ordered carbonara. Drinks were simple americano and cappuccino the waitress engaged us in conversation for a few minutes as we had said we were new to the area and suggested a few other places to try ( in my opinion a sign of confidence in your own product). The food was amazing and the relaxed atmosphere made us feel at home we will definitely be making and stop probably for dinner next time.

Valentines night! Food nice, but service poor. Appreciate 'new girl' on service, but obviously lacking in any kind of training - restaurant to blame. Even the Bill was wrong.

We visited as a party of 6, table booked for 7pm. The service was shocking. We had to ask for menus, the drinks order came piece meal, had to ask for water 4 times before any was brought. Bottle of wine plonked on the end of the table already opened. Starters came out after an hour and our main meals at 8.50. The waiting staff were clueless. Maybe money spent on the refurb would have been better spent training staff. The only redeeming factor was that the food was very nice. But my children were past it by then and ready to go home. The bill was also incorrect. Such a shame as this is a local restaurant we have eaten at many times. Unfortunately I don’t think we will be returning.

The environment was pleasant, well decorated and comfortable. The food quality was outstanding and the cooking was exceptional.

Pricey given the portion sizes. Soft drinks are very expensive. Lasagne was good, but small?

Sorry with late review we visited the restaurant last Thursday for the first time. we were greeted by two lovely young waitresses who were very professional and knowledgable of the wines and menu The food was beautiful presented and pipping hot Lasagne was best I had tasted in a long time 👏👏👏 The whole meal was delicious And the Irish coffee omg Will definitely be back very soon

We had a nice family dinner. Good was excellent , good portions and some unique dishes we liked. The pizza was amazing rich and tasty, the tiramisu was amazing! We also loved the kings prawn in a tasty sauce served on a toast.

A real gem of L18. We came here the other day with the little one. Staff couldn't do enough for us. The food was unbelievable, and the whole evening was just what we needed. Will be coming here more frequently from now on.

Lovely restaurant came here with my partner had the pork steak with Diane sauce and homemade chips it was fantastic and friendly service Megan waitress was so nice we will be returning great experience 👍 😊 5 ⭐️

Lovely little family run Italian if I could recommend anything on the menu though the homemade chip are the best I've EVER had anywhere,the ribs and calamari starters are also a must! You can tell everything is made fresh and quality ingredients used but very reasonable priced especially with the price of everything atm,would recommend them to any family and friends that asked.

Dans Birthday: We had the pleasure of visiting this establishment for our son's birthday with friends early evening booking, I can honestly say our experience was terrific the staff were polite, friendly, the service was excellent, the food was also excellent. I would like to say a big thank you to them all front of house and kitchen staff for making it a pleasurable evening.

Fantastic staff, quiet and warm atmosphere, great food.

Lovely food. Good value for money. Service very good. Staff very attentive. Tables a bit cramped. Problem for us was that on NYE when we last went, the evening was spoilt by the entertainment. Singer was good but too loud for such a small venue. Just cannot enjoy the company if you cannot talk / hear each other.

A fabulous meal, great service and an excellent house wine. Will be back soon.

We were casual walk ins and ordered simply and to share. Pizza with ham and mushrooms and a pasta bolognese... Atmosphere was lovely and my friend found it reminiscent of places in Rome he ate in last year...service was excellent. And the meal...good pizza fresh sauce and cheese and crust with good chew. Bolognese was on the money... pasta cooked perfectly. They didnt bat an eyelash at our sharing... I'd go again in a flash.

Mid range Italian. Set in a residential area, doesn't stand out unless you look for it, decided to visit on account of the good reviews. Got the sea bass with clams, a veggie pizza and the gamberoni vesuvio for a starter. The sea bass was good, surprising highlight were the potatoes and the sauce underneath. I was disappointed by the clams - 3 of the 8 were not properly cleaned and I was taking sand out of my mouth - an unpleasant feature that brought down the whole experience. The pizza was ok, somehow the olives were the crunchiest element of the whole pizza. The prawns were tasty on their own but the bread was really soggy and considering they were cooked in chilli oil and garlic there was a complete absence of heat. The service was good and quick, the place itself looking good with plenty of wood elements. Would only visit again if someone suggested specific dishes to try, wasn't blown away with the ones we picked this time.

Had a lovely evening celebrating my dads 80th birthday. Staff were lovely & food was great. Good portions except the ravioli which had only 5 parcels little on the small side for a main but other than that the party of 9 all enjoyed their food.

This is an Italian restaurant near Allerton in Liverpool where we dined one evening. It was OK and very busy.

We came here for my godmother's 60th birthday and could not recommend it enough. Food was gorgeous from start to finish and staff were great and really friendly.

Sadly, the Chicken roast dinner was let down by using an individual chicken breast, cooked so dry, almost looked reheated, chewy as hell. You would assume it'd be Roast Chicken. Everything else was lovely! Lots of lovely veg and the potatoes were done well (my husband thought the spuds were anaemic - each to their own). Probs won't go here for a roast in future. I know their spag bol is awesome though!👌

Absolutely delicious - amazing meal, really good quality and so tasty. Starter of bruschetta was easily the best I've ever had. Main of spaghetti bolognaise was also very, very delicious. Staff are very friendly and very reasonable prices.

Had one of the best night's out (early evening to be precise) with some amazing friends, some of whom I've not seen in a long time. This was my first visit to L'oliveto but was made to feel like a long time , valued patron/friend by the fabulous friendly staff. Both of us had pizza and the base was a bit so-so, the sauce was excellent and tasty. While the choice available in wine was limited, the house white, while being slightly bland was drinkable. We opted for the Sauvignon, which was very good and reasonably priced. Service was excellent, very attentive and friendly, so very well done.

The food here is unreal. It's a low key kind of place, nice and clean with very friendly staff.

We booked online for our local meal at L’Olivetto. While the current restrictions can be awkward the overall dining experience was pleasant. The friendly staff served us with sumptuous Calimari Fritti for starters and the beautiful Salmone L’Olivetto for mains. We also tried the house...

The food was gorgeous and the staff were friendly, without being imposing. Never been to L'Olivetto before but we all agreed that we will definitely be coming back again and again.

First time returning to L'Olivetto since lockdown and so glad we did. Never had a bad meal in this little Italian restaurant but todays food was exceptional. Simple and incredibly tasty and not a problem to omit an item from the meal in exchange for something else. To me this is a great way of showing everything is cooked from fresh and not just shoved into a microwave. I had spaghetti alla L'olivetti without pepperoni but added broccoli instead, which I have to say must be one of the best Italian meals I have had in Uk or Italy. The staff here are a joy, friendly, helpful and welcoming, I hope the owner realizes just what an asset to the business they are. The dining area and toilets are immaculate, just an all round great experience. Will definitely recommend to friends and be back very soon. Thank you :)

My Favourite Restaurant. Best Italian in liverpool hands down and I've been to alot. Proper homemade from scratch. Made with pride Italian food. Great atmosphere, great service. Misses going the for works doooo on friday then we are both going on sunday. Highly recommend. Leave your pretentious italian san carlo etc. Go here you wont be disappointed

If you love restaurants to eat at, then this is a tasty place to meet and greet your appetite at a price that's right. Celebrated two family birthday meals there recently, and the salmon Sunday roast seems to be calling us back for more of L'Olivetto's friendly and excellent dishes.

Amazing food here, staff are lovely and you get served pretty quickly too. Only downfall really is that there are only about three to four veggie options but apart from that I love it here. Would recommend this also if you prefer a more quiet dinner.

Went for a meal to celebrate my daughter's birthday. We all had something different and enjoyed everything we had. It was a lovely night and the staff were so nice. Can recommend it and we will be going again

We popped for lunch on Saturday, completely unplanned as we had planned to go somewhere else but it was closed. The place is inviting from the outside and the interior is almost as nice and the place looks spotless. We we’re surprised it was empty at 13:00 on a Saturday but decided to try it anyway. The menu sounded decent so we ordered but decided to check some of the reviews while we waited. The reviews a were a little mixed and to be honest I started to worry the food wasn’t going to be very good. The food arrived and I have to say it was good, I couldn’t fault the starters at all and I’m not going the be overly critical about the main either, this place deserves more people to try it.

Everything about it! Food, service, decor 5* my second visit after a cheeky lunch :) we'll be coming back many times again 👍👌🏼

Good Sunday dinner, worth a visit.

I've thought long and hard before posting this review; I take no pleasure from it. I'm afraid that the meal we had was by some way the worst Italian meal we have ever had. We visited on a positive recommendation from a family member. Service was slow throughout. I had the antipasto starter. There were cold meats just pulled from the packet, olives like bullets and a dry ciabatta roll. Disappointing. The menu was a little strange in that there was no risotto (I always choose this in a new restaurant as the chef needs to know what he's doing). There was a chicken escalope (I'd normally expect to see veal) which is what I chose. My wife chose salmon in a cream and paprika sauce. Her meal was tasteless although the sauteed potatoes were nice. My escalopes were overdone and the meat was dry. I confess I ate it; I hadn't eaten since lunchtime and I was hungry enough to eat the proverbial scabby cat. The escalopes were that scabby cat! It came on top of a mound of truly inedible spaghetti which tasted like it had been taken out of the tin and left in the fridge for a week uncovered. We got the bill at which point my wife complained to the waitress. She apologized and went away. No member of management came to speak to us, so we left. PS We've had no response whatsoever from the restaurant, so plainly they couldn't care less!

Came here wed 19 June 8 of us for sons birthday, quite disappointed food was warm I had linguine with 3 prawns, husband had steak very small portion for big bloke! again warm had to wait ages for main course and son whose birthday it was had pizza, we had ours served and had nearly eaten it all cos we were hungry he still was waiting for his pizza! my wine was awful as well. Sorry won't be coming again.

15 of us had dinner here to celebrate several birthdays. The food was lovely and served quite quickly. One meal was delayed about 10 minutes, but considering we had a large party, it was not too bad. My only suggestion would be to turn the lights a little lower to create a more intimate vibe. It was very bright and was like eating in a canteen. Apart from that would recommend.

Staff are lvly,I got a tomato based main meal with chicken not very nice at all,partner got a pork steak main meal,pork was i had a piece of chicken in my me which tasted disgustin ,which left a fowl taste in my mouth ,very tough,sorry I know it might have gud write ups ,but I for 1 ,will not be go in here again@,I know of a lot other Italian restaurants with much nicer food

Nice enough for casual dining, but upper dining area suffers from being too close to extremely loud hand dryers in washrooms, which is very off putting. So try to be seated in lower dining area.

We had a lovely Sunday lunch here. Our two year old was so well catered for and looked after that the meal was a much more relaxed occasion than it can be sometimes! There was a great kids menu (and kids in high chairs eat free) and the waitress who served us was brilliant with our daughter, even providing a high chair for her teddy! There was kids cutlery and the kids meal was brought out when starters were served, which made things run smoothly :) My husband's lasagne was lovely, I opted for the roast which was a huge portion. It wasn't the best roast I've ever had but all the positives about this place far outweighed that. We look forward to returning, the staff and the child friendliness of this place, together with good food and reasonable prices make it a sure winner in our book!
